South American Federation

 

 

The Federation had been quiet for a while, at least government side but military wise they were very active, entrenching and enforcing their troops along the newly formed border. Now they had a reason to act, and a pretty large one too as they stared down at the Lumber problem and Corruption causing the Queen to grow angry and annoyed with these people and instantly she orders a slightly large amount of troops to stomp on these operations. As these orders are carried out, another set of orders are sent out to cleanse and help fix the Federal government corruptions to prevent the lumber people from gaining more foot hold in their government. They will not let their great nation fall to corruption even if it damaged their economy's change, HOWEVER they do offer the people working in the Lumber Hustling operation an opportunities to work with the government on their Lumber fields with reasonable pay and their freedom as long as they reveal all their connections.

The Australasian Federation 

 

Kyoto Japan

 

In Federal Military Command they hear of the growing crisis in Japan concerning a released bioweapon in a huge population center, they could not abide more deaths of the Japanese and concluded they must send military aid to assist the Japanese Military in Kyoto. No infantry is sent, the Mechanized Divisions of the Federations Military are mobilized, it is greatly feared that this bioweapon could spread southwards if left unchecked and thus cause a crisis in Oceania.

 

The Federation assists their friends in the Far Eastern Empire, sending two Mechanized Knight Divisions consisting of three hundred REX Units, support units consisting of six Lancelot Platoons numbering 180 Lancelot Units, they land in Osaka and begin to move up to Kyoto to assist the Japanese Defense Force there against the bioweapon threat. The Japanese would see the Federation as allies in battle for the first time and it would be defending the Japanese against this bioweapon. 

 

In the Federation 

 

Another crisis had arisen, with the AustralianAirlines flight crashing in New Zealand it had dawned upon the officials of the Federation that they'd have to act accordingly. As a response to the crash stocks in AustralianAirlines plummet and the Corporation risks bankruptcy due to the amount of legal cases they have amassed against them. The Federation decides to publicly buyout the Company, members of the companies senior management are arrested soon after due to the Federal Police discovering that the airline had been cutting corners in its aircraft development to earn more money. The Federation would swiftly move to scrap the current fleet of aircraft to then use state assets to manufacture new aircraft for the company. Ticket prices for Federation Citizens would be lowered as it is a state asset now and thus members of the state receive benefits from that.

 

Ecuador is essentially fully annexed by the Federation as the war with the Andean Confederation is at a halt, it would be a long occupation so the Federation begins to localize the Government system in Ecuador to meet Federal Standards, roughly half the troops in Ecuador are pulled back to the Federation to cut back on costs and Ecuador Volunteers are encouraged to join the newly formed State Army of Ecuador. Elections are held for the Provinces of Ecuador to get representation in the Federal Parliament rather quickly as the Country was taken with ease and without that much bloodshed. 

 

The War on Titan

 

Roughly half of the Colonial Defense Force was now in ruin, the bunker was deep enough underground that the Tungsten Rods didn't destroy it, but most of the tunnel network was destroyed thus disallowing the hit and run warfare that the Federation had been operating up until now. The remaining Lancelots would remain in storage while dissent in the settlement would be the new plan. Patrols would quietly go missing sometimes, bombs would go off elsewhere. The war on Titan was a one sided event, but the Australians would give them hell before completely dying.

 

The Australasian Federation uses its Comm Buoys above Earth to try and contact the Neo-Russians, they thought it might be high time to negotiate a truce of sorts and them leaving Titan. The missive would entail 

 

"Dmitry Medvedev, the Australasian Federation would like to extend the olive branch, we want you off Titan for these acts of unwarranted aggression you've shown my nation. You may currently hold the upper hand but you lack the sheer will of my nations people not to mention our sheer resources. Titan was a cog in a very large machine it has slowed the machine losing it but not stopped it. We just want you to leave our territory and never set eyes on it again."

Research and Development

 

The First Prototype Frigate is created, implementing Cold Fusion, Shield, Microwave Lasers, Missiles, LION Lasers, Coil Guns and many more weapons, it was a ship over five hundred meters in length and the first space vessel designed by the Federation solely based around use for war. Incorporating similar cosmetic designs to one of the Reclaimer Ships it is suspected that the cosmetic design of the vessel was stolen. Two more Frigates enter production, as the Space Dry Docks are freed up now it will take the same amount of time to complete both vessels (( 3 pages for two more frigates built at the same time ))

 

 

The Federation wishes to upgrade the original REX design for its military, intending to create a Mark II Variant of the REX that incorporates much of the new technology the Federation now has, as the Mark I Variants while having the technology are not optimized for it.

The Order of Saint George

 

 

With Alexandria effectively razes to the ground (each rod destroys an area the size of Brooklyn), the order raises it’s banners in the name of God. The troops stationed at Porto (175.000) are moved to barcelona and the new recruits (75.000) are quickly trained and equipped with LIONCUBS, tanks equipped with LIONs are also loaded up into the fleet, making their total force around 600.000 men strong. New Churchills were bought, and pilots trained. They landed in Alexandria, awaiting a quick victory, the Churchills covering the air while plasma was shot at /any/ resistance.

 

Meanwhile in Socotra. Anti-ship weaponry is bought (LIONs mounted on some sort of support). Making it the gibraltar of Suez. Any ships that were sighted of the coast and of the caliphate would be shot on sight.

 

Princely State of Porto

 

They continue attempting to get more and more companies to buy the cheap land. They start taxing the companies slightly, but not enough to make them undesirable. ((Still waiting on the sweet mod post)).

 

The State starts broadcasting anti-Islamic media and cartoons. Building the Catholic zeal on Iberia, France and England.

The Coalition Fleet: Europa, 2 hours into operation.

 

 

The NeoRussians manning the ion batteries on Europa had met a nasty surprise. So used were they to the concept that their technology was unrivaled that it would be unsurprising if they were struck in awe when they saw the baby blue light that seemed to absorb their rounds and make light of it. Nonetheless, as Jason recovered control of the defensive grid, the coalition fleet was forced to retreat, cloaking and orbiting  just outside the effective range of the grid's weapons. The shielding on the Pillar of Salvation and other ships fired upon by the Russians had saved them this time, but now they lost that element of surprise and had to wait for their shields to recover. Grand Admiral William Hensford leans over his SBI Command Console, observing the situation in space and the deadlock of infantry forces on the ground.

 

"Can we kick it back out?" The answer was apparently no, but he asked anyways. "One way or another now, we'll have to push through those defenses. in order to get support to our men on the ground." Hensford raises the fleet command channel. "All ships! Prepare to receive orders!"

 

The fleet waits until it can position itself between the defenses and the son, making it almost impossible to see the ships while cloaked. This is when the new operation is launched. The fleet intends to punch a hole in the defensive grid and get below it's range, and then find a way to deal with the ion batteries on the ground. All pilots are kept on alert and ready to scramble. A large number of their engines are even kept hot while the next phase begins.

 

All ships are cloaked for this operation. Two Leopard-II Assault Frigates OCS Anomoly and the OCS Arctic Winds approached the designated batter from a wide angle from its main battery while the HMS Windsor's Wrath approaches it straight on using the glare from the sun to cover its advance. Once the range is significantly closed, the Reclaimers on board the platform are none the wiser until the two frigates decloak, firing their main plasma cannons at the anti-ship cannon, quickly disabling it. As smaller batteries turn to light up the two frigates, the Windsor's Wrath deactivates its own shields, firing its four primary LIONs into the center mass of the platform, blowing it to pieces before much damage can be done. The Fleets streams through the hole in the defensive grid, slipping below its effective range of engagement. 

 

Fighters aboard the Pillar of Salvation, Windsor's Wrath, and Feeling Lucky? are scambled immediately after passing through the heavy AA coverage of the defensive grid. As the fleet approaches, combined forces of SF-2s, Churchills, and SG-1s fill the air above the fighting infantry as a low level strike is initiated. Most of the craft target the ion batteries to disable their anti-orbital capabilities. In theory, their previous targeting of the Reclaimer air capabilities should minimize fighter losses. As soon as all craft are clear of the zone, the three Endeavor-Class destroyers decloak and fire their main cannons into each of the sites, hoping to demolish the cannons and Reclaimers therein. SF-1s and Churchill squadrons remain available as much as possible over the colony, initiating air strikes to areas where the Russians have dug in and evacuating their respective carrier directly thereafter.

 

Ships resume a similar defensive formation should the Reclaimer fleet arrive.

 

In an attempt to remove the Jason VI's influence from the battlefield, the colony is bombarded by a VI virus designed by Britannia. The hope is this will eliminate the Jason VI, cause it to issue erratic and nonsensical commands, or at least force it to temporarily leave the battle in order to isolate and eliminate the virus' intrusions.

 

On the ground, Tyranid-driven MAPs and Coalition marines remain girdlocked with the Reclaimer forces. They are monitored by Hensford and his commanders, waiting for any fault in Reclaimer lines to appear in the fighting to appear to launch a renewed offensive. Currently, losses are minimal on both sides, but the Coalition air strikes may vary well be able to turn the tides quickly.

Orion Avionics

 

Upon the offer from Britannia, Lucas Messer appears in Britannia to accept the invitation to officially join the commonwealth as an independent state. ​Orion officially becomes a realm of the Commonwealth. 

 

In a deal with the SAF, Orion has acquired terraforming technology. Immediately plans go underway to turn the area around Orion's mars colony into a much more hospitable atmosphere. Along with this, a large construction project is undertake to create a large structure to facilitate a small controllable atmosphere in which to build a small metropolis. Scheduling on this project is not yet determined.

 

Underground on Mars, the colony continues its expansion. It digs downwards into the depths of the red planet. Perhaps it will uncover something, as the English did on Europa.

 

In a deal with Australia, Orion acquires the technology requires to create advanced VIs, rendering their current research into the subject obsolete. On Mars, these VIs are immediately builts and purposed for ship control, to be installed on Orion ships as soon as possible.

 

The two M1/M2 Jaguars over Mars are bought by the South American Federation and await orders from their new command.

United American Empire

 

America was going to learn from it's past mistakes. When the great depression hit they had not acted enough. The American involvement in Africa is done, the total one million and a half men pulled out. Coming home with them is the navy. The empire has an effective seven million troops after recruitment drives. They were all armed, trained, and armored. For now however they can't be used, and most troops are put in effective reserve status. Using methods practiced before, the navy is tucked away into harbors. The crews on paid leave, the ships remain blind to the world in their shuttles. This tactic would help pull away the money drain, as most of the military does now not have to be paid.

 

In order to help increase tax revenue, the Panama Tax is raised yet again. Not only that, but now nations would have to pay the Americans to get through the icy northern channel. The southern channel by Argentina is also taxed, the navy letting most of the revenues go to the SAF from that one. Effectively controlling the trade through the entire western hemisphere, the Americans now sought to change. Any ships moving through the channels for trade would meet a significantly lower tax. Military ships however retained the high tax.

 

The Empire is a big producer in agriculture, oil, and lumber. Among many other fields, they had resources most other nations were running out of. So many nations now doing building projects for their people. They would need supplies from somewhere, and the American Empire was willing to sell it for cheaper. 

 

WHALES were originally built for military conveyance. Sizable to a small carrier, they were mega cargo transports. Able to also move a lot of men, they were effective wartime ships. But with no war they would be forced to adapt or be cut from the budget. So a global company is set up. Called 'American Global Trade Company' the offer to several nations would be sent. Due to such a massive hurt to people's economies, trade was expensive. The Global Trade Company offered to convey nations goods to one another, for very cheap. Only taking enough to stay running and save a bit, the Global Trade company was not expensive. Instead of costly conveying their goods, nations now had someone to do it for them. The ultimate goal was to make money and restore global trade. All nations are offered the Trade Company's services.

22nd Regiment Foreign Legion.

 

After the fall of Alexander a small multinational band of survivors has been seen fleeing the region carrying civilians, weaponry and ammunition, the convoy of civilian and military transportation, the strongest of this fleet is two Humvee's with 50. Cal M2's upon them which ride either side of the convoy. 

 

The military personnel which guard the convoy are part of the French Foreign legion, specificity the unnamed 22nd Regiment. led by a former S.A.S operative named 'Marcus Powell'. Captain within the legion, the highest ranking within the remnants of the Regiment.

Dropping all those who do not join in Cairo, further travelling between national lines hoping further to take their 'New-Legion' henceforth called 'The Remnants'. crossing illegally checkpoints at some places, using their military status in other places. Occasionally driving through the checkpoints firing at military personnel!

 

Occasionally stopping in small towns to 'Steal' from the local banks, hoping to raise funding!

Further looting the corpses of the 'murdered' guards for weapons and ammunition, and further attempting to recruit all 'Anarchist' Anti-Government civilians that they can.

The Welsh separatists would receive a message, encoded stating ''We are coming to wales, and once we are there we will attempt to establish our own military base upon your lands, we hope that this will not effect a future that we may have together, and wish to aid you in your goals against the 'United' kingdom.''

The Republic of Africa

 

 

Homefront

 

Project Sokizimani was finally completed. This large scale project, though kept well below radar, blows away the masses as it is revealed. The project that consumed the nation's greatest minds and a great deal of the workforce, DESPITE the possibility of The Republic being ended by the Caliphate was revealed. The new space hub flew near a South African town, before lifting up into orbit.

 

 

The massive station is meant to serve many purposes, with hangars that accelerate ships taking off to nearly 20 times their regular speed, allowing the hastening of all transport to Mars. The station has an estimated capacity of 10 000 000 people, though even the civilian centers near the core of the station only houses 750 000 workers, as it is hoped to improve the on station's life support systems (Mainly the automated cultivation of crops) can sustain the 10 000 000, as to avoid a crisis, should the hub not be reachable from Earth or Mars. This though, is expected to take a few years, even with its delayed raising to space (12 pages). It currently receives a great deal of supplies from Earth, most of which is bound for Mars. All nations are invited to trade and transport through it.

 

The ship is split into 5 major parts, the outermost shell being for docking, processing, and defense. Along each hangar, thousands of veterans from the recently ended world war can be found, stern faced, and ready to seize anything deemed a danger. 100 000 men currently occupy 1/2 of the hangars, with the other 1/2 to be filled in the coming months with another 150 000 men. In contrast to the ship making it used to take on, smaller "fighter" ships are being created, and to be manned by 20 or so men. 100's of these are currently being produced, but production is slugging until the construction wing is completely finished.

 

The civilian trade and living center at the core of the station is surrounded by the construction wings, the hub taking on the look of a large city. The military wings surround these both, with the last being between the outer shell and military contigents, in the form of an open market for all nations.

 

Mars, now more easily supplied, sees Elonisburg's population grow to a whopping 250 000. More settlements within the territory or scheduled to be raised, with a project to expand Elon Musk's original terraforming machines capabilities underway (10 pages). The NCR mines begin to prove vital in the expansion of the city, and its independence from Earth. Though it does not need to import anything from Earth at this point, the leadership of the Republic deems it necessary to push the limits of the lands. The population is expected to reach 1 000 000 within a year.

 

Old NCR information that had gone ignored is now closely examined in peace time, and ships are sent across the planet to examine the landscape. A satellite is sent to be used over Elonisburg, with a larger one sent over the barren land east of it, hoping to discover more (Mod please).

 

 On Earth, the minimal number of troops are released from service, with only conscripts given the option to opt out at the wars end. Space proves a powerful incentive to stay in the military, though. With payment by resources falling apart with people hoping to save money with economic uncertainty, Marshal Siamono relents, but still cuts whatever corners he can, taking taxes against public pay before giving out payments.

 

Nearly 9 000 000 in uniform are sent across the country to run physical programs, and relief efforts. This is done in conjunction with  over 2 000 000 Ethiopian/African Horn troops.

 

Votes are held across the lands, to make clear whether or not the provinces, states, and regions within the Republic are pleased with their status as part of the Republic. (Mod Please)

 

International Affairs

 

Japan is asked to hold a Plebiscite on the issue of Madagascan dependency status. The same is asked of India, with the Republic willing to make concessions to see this happen.

 

The French desiring independence are offered land in the now largely deserted Niger, with economic and military support promised to those in the region. In return, they would operate within the Republic as a special, semi autonomous region, with no complete control given to these men over foreign affairs.

 

The American Empire is given the offer to retain the 250 000 Portugese speaking troops in Brazil, should they desire it. The Republic makes clear its interest in working alongside American's, hopeful that the two powers can continue to be great friends as the used to be.

 

The Caliphate is informed that it does NOT have to pay all of the Republic's reparations, and only for the environmental damage done, and the bombing of still inhabited homes. This is hoped to promote a stable situation within their borders, and potentially, a good relationship with these neighbors.

 

The Coalition of Africa is asked to join the Republic of Africa, in hopes to create a greater African nation and promote prosperity. Each nation is offered the chance to negotiate independently, or as a Coalition. (Mod please, am will to let people play as parts of the Republic as Kevin/Ethiopia does.)

Homefront

 

With the ending of the war, and the addition of Sudan to the region's territorial responsibility, the number of troops maintained by the region stay only at about 2 000 000, with 500 000 released almost immediately at the wars end. Zeal drives these men to stay in uniform though, and those pressed out of uniform are quick to join the order of St. George. The men take up the national effort to use these grizzled men as instructors in any capacity they can be used. 

 

Sudan is treated as a liberated region, and hostility towards the people is kept to a minimum in hopes of having them incorporated without incident.

 

Great projects to repair the land scars caused by the Caliphate are underway, and begin to employ many men and women throughout the Horn of Africa.

 

International Affairs

 

In regards to the Republic of Africa's requests concerning Madagascar, the people of the Horn are especially aggressive on the topic.

Taiwanese Empire

 

 

Kyoto was under attack by what appeared to be aliens. It was a heavily armed capital, but its soldiers had never seen anything like it before. There were just 2102 of the aliens, but they wreaked havoc on the city, killing almost 200,000 civilians, 100,000 soldiers, and destroying billions of dollars worth of property, luckily missing almost all of the shrines but hitting the Palace, before being killed off by combined Asian/Australasian forces or herded by the Agoge men.

 

The casualties, though, included the newly crowned Yamato Emperor, so by law his Empire passed to his sister. Her claim, however, didn't preside over China, except for her marriage to a distant cousin from Taiwan - Chen Yuanzhang, who was, through his mother's side, the last of that generation with Tang blood.

 

And, as the dynasty changed, so too did the name of the Empire. To celebrate Taiwanese supremacy for the first time in history, the empire was named the Taiwanese Empire, but it wasn't his blood that cemented his rule.

It was his fist.

 

He was the commander of not only the Japanese Space Fleet, but the Imperial Navy. He had the support of the two billion people in the Far East, and his brilliant tactics and ruthless tactics concerning Communist Chinese rebels had earned him a reputation. His empire was the production center of the world, and the smog in major cities had been all but eliminated in the past few years. His capital was a strange choice; it was neither the largest city in Taiwan of Kaohsiung, nor the capital of the province Taipei. It was the semi-rural city of Chiayi, where he had been born and raised in a conservative household. His palace, a small mansion near the center of the city, has been owned by his family since the Qing first colonized Taiwan, and the Chen family shrine, a Confucian temple almost the size of the mansion, sat just four minutes away. By his mandate, Taiwanese is determined to be an official minority culture of the overarching Han people, and the Taiwanese people are declared to hold control over the Mandate of Heaven.

 

The projects started by his predecessors before the recession also finish in quick succession - A High-hypersonic missile that can hit faster than almost any computing system to date can compute, making laser defenses null is the first. Railguns can hit them as they launch, but require supercomputers, and the DART missile is designed to be launched in batches of at least 10, and can be launched with as many as can be produced. The second is the Whisker Q-Thruster, or Quantum Vacuum Plasma Thruster, a new-age engine that revolutionizes long-range movement, in that it requires just electricity to run, no actual propellant, and can move even massive spaceships long distances. It had been researched as early as 2010, but only now was it made practical by years of research. The final is the ANVIL composite armor, a high density Tarian, Reflection-Practical Mirrored Molybdenum Plating, Dragon Skin silicon carbide ceramic armor rings, and has qualified by military producers to be a rank of its own; Type V defense, which can block even RPG shots, and anything short of a long range railgun shot can't pierce its armor, and the plating can deflect laser shots that don't directly hit it. It is, however, 10x as expensive as normal body and vehicle armor, so production of it is placed at much lower rates and it is only put on specialist crews, elite regiments, and the Imperial guards. At the same time, a large construction project begins on all of the Taiwanese Empire's borders, consisting of large amounts of defense arrays of all sorts and new airfields.

 

Taiwan had become as modern as Japan decades ago, but steps are put into place to make Chiayi the city of the future, and it is already considered the single most advanced city in the world; completely integrated with Augmented Reality, its people quickly and efficiently taught, its culture sophisticated and the height of the Asian ways. Chiayi's population: 14,200,000, most of whom are between the ages of 10 and 25, and speak with the Taiwanese dialect, know Traditional and Simplified Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and English. The city's twenty districts are interconnected by bullet train, and is well spread out to stop the disasters that had destroyed the previous capitals of the empire. In four of the districts are towering skyscrapers and business headquarters, the others suburbs, gardens, schools, and temples. A giant wall equipped with DART missiles, Qahar and LION I cannons, and other defenses sits almost 100 miles out from the city's edge in any direction, forming what can be considered a Great Wall and protecting the city from any sort of attack. The people that live there are a mix of Taiwanese, Korean, and Japanese, many being a little of all. With its reimagined Shibuya and Harajuku districts, it is also home to most of Asia's music and domestic technology scene, with many clubs hosting tournaments of all kinds throughout the city. The city holds the premier Fencing League, where all nations can have their fencers train at a training center better equipped and provided than a 5 star hotel, for a small price. The university's coat of arms is on one side the Taiwanese tiger, and on the other side's top right is the Japanese sun and bottom right is the Orion Avionics symbol. With the unveiling of the impressive university, it is announced that the Taiwanese Empire sponsors Orion Avionics, and that its teachers would be paid in full by the Taiwanese government and that it is also given the same rights as in-nation companies, along with equal ownership of any research that comes out of it.

The 100 troops in Madagascar are repurposed to become guards of the Taiwanese mines, and the Taiwanese fleet begins to sail to its port in Osaka.

The Brightsword Glaive had finally been finished, after five long years of research.

An air and space capable fighter, the Glaive is a small fighter-sized remote controlled drone ship, fit with a cloaking device which can either be used for extended periods of time in slow cruising flight, or for short bursts of evasion at dogfight speed. The plane, while designed for in-space skirmishing, is also very capable as a more standard fighter on celestial bodies, akin to a Tali.
