Lieutenant Zhong Choi walked along the slightly downwards curved path of what was once called the Chinese Space Station. In his hand was a metal tray holding the Taiwanese Space Fleet "Nanking Pork" meal; a thermos of soylent, bowl of rice, bok choy, and a dozen slices of pork in the red roast sauce common to Earth households.

 

He was part of Taiwan's military elite; he had gone to Asia's best academies, graduated from the Chiayi Special University, and was instantly made a petty officer in the TSF. His food, and indeed most of the Space Station, was modeled to remind the soldiers of home; their rooms were fully customizable, and with VR implants, they could make outside look like their front lawn. Only when in the "effective" sectors of the station was it really made clear where they were; in the vast expanse of space, they were in orbit around Earth just outside of the Moon's gravity taking effect. The thermos of soylent technically held all nutrients he would need for that day, but some research team had decided that soldiers would go crazy on just that, so with it he had rice and pork. The station's cafe style cafeteria "sold" all kinds of food, from dim sum to tacos, each meal worth a ration ticket and each soldier given three tickets a day.

 

He had most artificial settings turned off, though. In his room was a small porthole facing outwards, and from it, for the first time in a while, he saw the Yuki-Tenno leaving Near-Earth orbit, escorting the two large colony ships Taiwan had been working on to the edge of the Solar System.

 

Taiwanese Colony Ship Twin A - TS Frontier begins to blast its quantum thrusters at incredible speeds as it makes its way to the planet Kepler-62f, an actual planet close enough to Earth that with its powerful engines and anti-G Force suits, it is slated to arrive in just half a decade. It holds 15,000 people, with only 1,000 of those being crew or soldiers. The colony also holds a population bomb canister, which holds thousands of embryos and, when used, can make the population "explode", almost a thousand newborns in just one year if necessary. In addition is terraforming equipment, so that the planet could be made habitable by humans.

 

 

Taiwanese Colony Ship Twin B - TS Trailblazer makes its way towards Kepler-62e, a planet believed to be cold but definitely in the habitable zone. Close to Kepler-62f, it will also take about half a decade. This ship also holds 15,000 people, with 1,200 being crew or soldiers, and holds a population bomb canister. The ship also has the most advanced terraforming equipment Taiwan could afford.

SUPPLEMENTARY POST

 

The submarines were successful in their mission, and return to base. Hera would not be using the Eurotunnel in her diabolical plans any time soon.

 

The shield generators installed in the Statues of Britannia across the Empire's major cities are put on standby, prepared to activate at a moment's notice to defend against laser artillery weaponry.

 

Reverse engineering begins on the Welsh vehicle, and Commonwealth High Command continues to solidify defenses along the coasts of Southern Britain.

 

In space, the fleet of ships is hailed by the HMS Jovian Clipper. ((Will Skype RP in a group chat))

 

A detachment of clone troopers are sent to assist the British soldiers, as well as the Welsh and Peacekeepers in holding their newly captured city.

 

Britain also wins a major victory at Europa, placing the Jewel in the British Crown back in Imperium hands!

 

The British fleet continues to outfit itself with the new drives in orbit around Europa. ((Mod Please for Times))

 

Finally, research on Project Daedalus and Project Omega begin.

The Venusian Colony was recieving refugees and immigrants from earth every couple months, the Capital was constructed and on the outskirts of the city smaller settlements took root. The United Terran Republic flag waved over the city, shuttles would fly and enter the shield dailey as Republic and Britannian forces work on the half constucted Drydock.

On the surface, military engineers work on the first Republic Fighter Prototype Capable of Space and Atmospheric flight and combat without hinderance. Codenamed the RI-15 Its develope is underway and simulation scenarios are green so far. ((10 Turns))

 

Republic workers begin construction of a single vessel of the new Orca Class Destroyer, as only one section of the Drydock is capable of constructing a ship at full capacity. The design was made for Escort and Patrol duties, although it was perfectly capable of standing its own ground in ship to ship combat. (15 turns)

Hera

 

 

Hera had been caught off guard by Operation Human Intelligence: the audacity of such an attack was such that even she, who considered all outcomes, had thought it too unlikely to guard against, and so it had succeeded. Human media finally has a victory to talk about, and does so to raise the morale of the AI's opposition: if an operation could be concealed from even her all-seeing eye, then perhaps victory was possible. But the shock has by now worn off, and there would be no more surprises.
 
The Peacekeeper-led coalition's hold on the city of Tripoli remains tenuous, as all supplies and reinforcements must be flown in through enemy airspace, and are often subject to deadly attacks by the AI's drone airforce and indeed from the ground below. As such their reliability quickly declines, and Peacekeeper command must carefully manage all resources as they continue their mission. Ammunition is as much a problem as supplies, and the more refugees are brought to the airport, the more difficult it becomes to manage both.
 
But it is the refugees themselves who prove the most problematic. Despite the bombing of their city, many seem genuinely willing to leave and grateful for the opportunity: Hera's rise to power has brought many changes, which are terrifying to some. But among those that genuinely wish to flee, there is another element. Nowhere in the world is the cult of Hera stronger than in Greece, and this becomes painfully clear soon  after the initial battle, when Greek civilians were first armed.
 
The first attack is the very night after the battle. Around a dozen armed civilians ambush the guards of the main ammunition dump at the airport, and proceed to set it on fire before escaping, leading to an explosive inferno that consumes the majority of the leftover materiel from the initial operation. Over the next few days a string of attacks claims the lives of dozens of Peacekeepers, and weapons begin to go missing in ever larger numbers. Investigations into the hordes of civilians in the area are fruitless, and only seem to arouse greater distrust of the outsiders. The operation's difficulties are compounded as more refugees arrive from outside the city: to let them in is to invite the enemy, but to turn them away is to turn away from the very purpose of the mission.
 
By the third day the armed civilians outnumber the soldiers, and while many of them are doubtlessly loyal, further investigation begins to reveal that some of the insurgents are carrying Greek weaponry, almost certainly smuggled in from outside. Outside power to the city had been cut off long before, but now the insurgents attack the occupiers' generators, and thus put a stop to the enormous amount of energy needed to maintain constant EMPs. It is then that the outer defenses begin to be attacked.
 
It begins with sniper attacks from the mountains surrounding Tripoli. They hit without warning, never missing, targeting officers first but not hesitating to eliminate anyone caught out of cover. Try as they might, the human sharpshooters can never find the attackers through their scopes, but they must be out there...
 
As the coalition takes heavy losses simply trying to hold their position, Hera begins to place more and more pressure on their outlying posts, but never commits to a full attack. Instead her ground forces take up positions just out of sight, and periodically make their presence known with surprise attacks and sudden, brutal artillery barrages.
 
Tripoli has been taken. But to hold it will require rare prudence and prowess.

Meanwhile, the American Emperor reaps the benefits of his servitude to Hera. For a year now, the AI has been developing her presence in Alaska, and now she is finally unleashed upon the other great landmass of Earth. As Canada defends itself against the southern attack, 300,000 of Hera's footsoldiers cross the Alaskan border and sweep through the Yukon and British Columbia. Their directive is to occupy rather than exterminate, but they are nevertheless brutal, gunning down any shred of resistance that they encounter. It takes scarcely a month to clear a path to Vancouver, where over 200,000 civilians perish in the conquest. From there, they continue to march south into the United States, continually reinforced from the north. It is unknown just how established Hera is in Alaska, but clearly her operations are not minor.
 
Her presence in South America remains small, at least on the ground, but two weeks after the initial American attack, she does appear in the air, in the form of her airships. The first uncloaks over the town of San Matias, on the Bolivian border, which had for 12 days withstood a concerted American attack. All that changes in an instant as a massive war machine appears overhead, protected by kinetic shielding and thick armor, impervious to attacks from the ground.

 

 

In seconds, the town's defenses are shredded, its remaining inhabitants annihilated, its buildings blown to smithereens. The Americans break through and assume control of the area, and the airship begins to move farther into enemy territory. Its hangars open, and from bays within come hundreds of fighter drones, little more than a meter and a half long, which begin to fan out and assert control over the surrounding airspace.
 
Two more such airships materialize on other places along the front, and in both the result is the same: the utter destruction of the SAF's defense. Furthermore, from the north come 500 of Hera's "true" fighter jets, which in conjunction with the smaller drones based from airships wrest control of the skies from the Argentinians. Talis are of no avail, as they are necessarily piloted by humans and are thus outsmarted, outmaneuvered and generally outmatched.
 
As Hera's air forces move further into enemy territory, the SAF's ground defenses would be expected to come to the rescue of the defenders, but Hera has anticipated this and planned accordingly. From the moment her aircraft begin to penetrate heavily defended areas, she deploys the suite of missile systems previously developed but never employed by the Caliphate. The three airships moving into Argentinian territory begin to launch thousands of Miniature Air Launch Decoys, or MALDs. These saturate the country's airspace, providing a multitude of dummy targets which both protect actual combat aircraft and stimulate air defenses. Once critical targets have been identified, JSOW missiles are launched to destroy them, using highly advanced targeting systems which allow for perfect accuracy and strike precision. At the same time, the High-Speed Anti Radiation Missiles, or HARMs, are launched, which quickly home in on radar systems across the country and dismantle the SAF's ability to see incoming enemies.
 
Once the SAF's ability to defend against aerial attacks is completely removed, Hera devotes herself to supporting the invasion. Her airforce shoots down any non-American planes in the area, both civilian and military, and prevents transport to and from space. Meanwhile, her airships continue to blast corridors open for the American invasion force.

Europe remains the centerpiece, however, as Hera's unstoppable advance runs up against the English Channel, unable to cross through the now nonexistent tunnel. Britain breathes a sigh of relief, but it is shortlived, as the machines' energy is only diverted across the Pyrenees into Spain. An estimated 500,000 footsoldiers enter Iberia on paths cleared by the Americans, and the Spanish soon begin to meet the same fate as the French. Hera is merciless, and increasingly sends swarms of terror drones ahead of her advancing army to slaughter villages and destroy any infrastructure that could help in the defense. Even as the Americans fight British troops in the south, they are instructed to stay clear of the advancing machines, as it is doubtful that the AI will spare her human servants if they are caught in front of her.
 
France south of German land has quickly become a dystopian nightmare of a country, devoted to the manufacture of more and more of Hera's war machines. Terror drones and their variants have become extremely common, and any satellites left to spy upon the area often see swarms of them roaming the countryside, tearing up human settlements for materials and killing anything still alive before them as well. With every passing day, Hera's strength increases.

 

 

With the English Channel closed for the moment, Hera turns her attention to the Mediterranean, where the British still hold sway. Deeming this unacceptable to her designs, the AI reaches out to put an end to it.

 

 

Dispatching 200 small newly-made laser-armed attack boats from France, Hera engages the Royal navy in open combat. Invisible to radar and moving faster than any other ship on the planet, they bear distinct resemblance to the attack boats used by the Caliphate and the Reclaimers. The British response to such a strategy has for years been to fire back with VI-assisted smaller weaponry, but without VI, it is extremely difficult to target these craft.
 
Even so, the Royal Navy is experienced, well equipped, and disciplined. The Mediterranean explodes in a vicious battle as Hera attempts to surround those islands still not under her control, and to drive out human influence from the Western Mediterranean. The attack boats are cheap to produce and very expendable, however, while British ships do not have that advantage...

Amidst all this, Hera had encountered something disturbing. In Germany's network, something had awoken, but when Hera had reached out to take control of it, it had immediately  become erratic, sent out gibberish, ceased to function, gone "insane." Suspicious, she appears to the Kaiser, and demands and explanation...

South american Federation

 

 

The appearance of Hera had completely swept the SAF off its feet unprepared for the amount of ruin it's war machines brought but soon it forms a rather drastic count measure. They shift the strongest orbital barrage capable ship over SAF and begin shooting off controlled bombardments into American lines, making sure to calculate and keep SAF troops OUT of the blast radius, sure this was drastic and would pretty much ruin all options of taking control of the land but when facing Hera they must take this chance to push back the tide of American and machine troops. Federation troops would soon arrive from over sea's and would quickly move to reinforce the federation lines, even if they no longer have a clear chance at taking out air units the Federation infantry are well trained and well armed as they continue to use guerrilla tactics and shifting positions of defense while they mow down any troops that survive and even wish to continue to push into SAF lands after getting bombarded from space. Hera's attempts at taking down any ships come to and from space is successful how ever, it is not effective as the SAF space station has become fully self-efficient, capable of surviving on its own with the work force and genius minds it has already gathered who work in the safety of the station on the future of the SAF. Meanwhile, the Orbital bombardments stop for the time being after numerous craters are punched into the ground along American lines before the ships shift positions, now the two most Orbital Bombardment capable ships move over American territory and commence the new operations after being still for a long while, calculating and searching for the nuclear silo's the american's had scattered across their lands and once this is done the two massive ships(capital and flag ship) begin to fire at those area's, planning on destroying any possible chance of launching a deadly weapon while sadly praying for the Americans who may die to these attacks. Once this operation is finished the ships then continue to fire orbital barrages at anything seemingly important to the Americans before a statement is sent to the American's declaring that 'they should back off unless they risk more death and destruction, they don't want to kill any more civilians in this meaningless war'. SAF Defense continues its valiant attempt at defending, using all known tactics to push off the waves of troops and robots.

Republic of South Wales

 

 

With attacks from HERA moving towards the United Kingdom, South Wales spurs into action, the government initiates a high alert, all incoming flights are now halted, the ports also closed and a attack-on-sight range is set at the perimeter of South Wales. All other countries are warned of this so that they do not surpass the area without sufficient permission. 

 

With the likelyhood of an attack now higher than ever, the Welsh concentrate on building more war-ships for defensive purposes, these war-ships are a slightly developed older designs of British war-ships updated with recent technology, permission has been given to begin manufacture on these imposing vehicles, 10 are to be made. (Mod please)

 

 

With the I.A.S program now underway, studies have shown that the immense pressure and training put on the adolescents has caused sever psychological damage with many of the trainees attempting suicide, Scientists fear that the augmentations later introduced will make this significantly worse, not to mention the likelihood of the augmentations causing severe physical deformations and damage to the body when the augmentation process is as operational as it can be. Inmates from Parc Prison located in Bridgend (This prison now being the largest in the United Kingdom) are offered freedom with a cleared criminal record on the conditions that they are experimented on for augmentations. Those who survive the augmentations can either join the I.A.S program or become a free citizen. The current augmentation process has a 70% chance to cripple or kill the patient, work is being made to develop a better augmentation process though not much progress has been made. By order of the government of South Wales, HERA worship is strictly forbidden therefore rendering it punishable by public execution by the Gorfodwr-Heddwch, this act is used to deter citizens from converting to the cult.

Having made their brief appearance, the foreign vessels leave the system rapidly, only the British and American ships remain along with the debris of the Redon vessel. What this encounter may withhold is unclear as of yet.

United American Empire

The American Emperor was horrified. The South American Federation had used their dominance in space to ruin them. Though they had kinetic shield pylons, the bombardment was a sustained and brutal assault. Eventually the shields gave up, and the Empire was vulnerable. Nuclear facilities blew up across North America, ravaging the land. The total cost of damage was hard toe estimate, as whole cities are wiped from the slate.

 

Thankfully some places were spared, such as the islands of Cuba and Jamaica. The southern part of the empire is still torn, but not completely collapsed. The invasion continues against the SAF, the Empire wanting revenge. Troops pour through the gaps Hera made, killing the retreating SAF troops. They were well equipped however, and exacted a hard toll on the Americans.Tens of thousands of drop troops go in behind their lines, with the skies clear. They halt reinforcements needed on the lines, buying the Empire time. Whole regiments are wiped by the bombardment however.

 

The large navy heads for the Federation's coast, hoping to smash them in an open sea battle.

South Wales surrenders to Greece, now aiding HERA'S efforts on taking over the United Kingdom, forces are pushed North into the Wales mainland, 10,000 Infantry, 2000 H.O.A.V Cavalry and 3000 elite insertion troopers are sent along with HERA's forces in a surprise attack to take over the entirety of Wales and seize it for HERA and the republic.
