This is an extremist point of view based off conjecture and fear. At least in my opinion.

Rp is Rp the coalition is succeeding RPly and should be allowed to continue. What I would like however it some ******* consistency from staff in the future. Its over now but staff needs to take a good long look at the verdicts they've been giving over the past month. Flip flopping constantly. Changing rules to suit themselves. There needs to be some accountability.

For once, I completely agree with you. Except for when you bypassed the swear word filter!!!!

Simply not true. Wood elves are an rp hub,

not all groups are rude or mean.. take the druids they're pretty nice.

I believe Oren is only a hub simply because a vast majority of people are humans. After this, if people want to find a real hub of RP, feel free to join the Dwarves since they themselves are a bunch of warming individuals with clans so no matter what happens you will always have people to talk to.

Take the Goldhands for example, a clan of money worshipping jews that will kindly accept any into their folds. Any loyalists that wish to join can just sign up in this thread here:

Back in Aegis and even asulon, before there was 1 huge nation blanketing over every human city, there were multiple cities with plenty of humans in them. Each having a different culture and adding something completely different to what might had been considered a "norm."

LotC doesnt need Oren. Plain and simple. A new group will take over and eventually there will be a new empire born. Under a new name with hopefully new types of ideals and bring completely new cultures to LotC. If 20 kingdoms pop up, each one will fight until there is eventually 2 left. One will conquer the other. Just like in Asulon when Renatus was taken over and transformed into Oren.

Multiple petty kingdoms will be incredibly more healthy for the server then Oren was. Total war is incredibly awful for the servers health, this recent 170 vs 120 warclaim was straight up cancer and i'll be glad if it never happens again. Oren has strangled multiple cultures out of the game without contest, and would continue to do so when it suited them if not stopped.

Warclaims will lag incredibly less with only 40v40 warclaims.

Mercenaries will become useful, and this will increase the reason to gather minas as a nation.

Roleplay will change, which is exciting for Both Oren and ourselves, i'm sure winning every time is just as boring as losing every time.

The Clergy will become more powerful now that an empire cannot bully them, an excommunication can act as a casus belli for another nation to attack yours.

Multiple nations will allow for multiple cultures to blossom unhindered.

Oren loosing will be the best thing that has happen to this server in awhile. Diverse role play is what we want not Good guys vs. the world.

Tbh this is a post we have seen a hundred times over the years from the other side. If Oren wants to survive it will find a way. Every other faction has gone through this a good handful of times. As for new players I see the prospect of many new towns popping up. There is going to be a surge in new RP. It will be interesting to see which ones last.

Courland takes control of Johannesburg

Eathland (previously Johannesburg) becomes the new roleplay capital

Vege incentivates roleplay to bloom on Eathland and it'll all be just like it was before

it is the only main RP Hub for new players to join.

I agree with this to an extent. Oren is known to have the most mass of players because no matter what a new player chooses Elf, Orc, Dwarf, or Human, the Human Kingdom is where people flock to most because it's the most familiar to them. They don't have to try and start RP by translating Blah, or having in depth RP based off of lore. Human role play is as simple as it gets other than the snakery and politics that goes on sometimes. Whether or not they do lose, that isn't stopping anyone from trying new things and new races staying as one race can be boring after some time.

Other groups are actually inviting people to join them, it's more that they have a bad image so new players aren't interested. Other groups want people too, but Oren is taking all the new players away. The fact that Oren is the only group taking in new players isn't the problem because of what you said. It's because they're taking new players FROM us.

A new RP hub will appear. This isn't the first time Oren was destroyed, and definitely not the first time an RP hub was destroyed.

Regarding new players, this war has created a tremendous amount of roleplay to engage new players. The lack of Johannesburg isn't going to stop new players, people continuing to act like ****lords on the forums will.

While the rebellion has a lot of OOC in its skype chats and rallies, a lot of RP still takes precedent over it. The rebellion itself is founded off of RP. The RP hub that is JB will not be "destroyed" forever. JB itself will likely be destroyed in its entirety but in its place, a new RP hub will be created as Courland doesn't have any land to call its own. Nothing will change in terms of RP, if anything, this will make room for a server antagonist and allow the server to grow once more just like it did in Aegis. Just in case you don't recall, the undead came to Aegis when the RP sparked up and the kingdoms of man were divided. Meanwhile, Asulon stopped the undead from truly returning as humanity had been united and the cult of Iblees struggled to summon the undead as a result. In summary, Oren is to blame for the lack of antagonists. If an antagonist were created tomorrow, Oren would risk destroying it in a matter of minutes. If the kingdoms of man are divided into fragments then one fragment will be stronger than the others, this will never recreate Oren but it will create an RP hub. Times will be hard for all when Oren falls, but blaming it on the staff is piss poor and wrong. We are responsible for what the staff does for we are not forced to stay on LoTC, if you're disappointed with LoTC you're free to leave it for another server.

TLDR:

Oren is to blame for LoTC's problems and not the staff.
