TOURNAMENT OF PETER III’S RUBY JUBILEE

 

TO THE DENIZENS OF THE HOLY ORENIAN EMPIRE,

 

As part of His Imperial Majesty Peter III’s Ruby Jubilee celebrations of 1777, the Crown does wish to host a grand tournament within the city of Helena. The tournament shall involve a range of both solo and team combat, and all citizens of the Empire are invited to register and participate, provided they meet the basic criteria.

 

The tournament shall be separated into TWO parts - the Team Games, and the Solo Tournament.

TEAM GAMES

The tournament shall open with a number of team games. Teams shall consist of EIGHT INDIVIDUALS, and all must be over the age of FOURTEEN. Registration for the team games must be done with teams chosen prior, as well as a team captain elected.

 

These shall include THREE rounds:

 

1. Team Melee Games

In this event, each team will be given a designated time to gather themselves into a spot anywhere within Helena, provided it is entirely outdoors - teams will not be permitted inside buildings. Every team will begin separated across the city. Then, when the time is started, there will be a city-wide team melee in which the teams shall battle. Whichever individual/group are the last standing shall win the Melee games for their team.

2. Capture the Banner

Spread across Helena shall be FIVE flags for each team’s colour. The aim will be simple - gather all flags, and return to the Novellen courtyard with your entire team. The first team to do so shall win. This shall include no combat.

3. Race to the Courtyard

All teams shall begin just outside of Helena’s main entry gate. When the timer starts, the gates shall be open. The objective is to reach the Novellen courtyard with your ENTIRE team, as quickly as possible. Combat shall be allowed between teams.

IN THE EVENT THAT A SINGLE TEAM WINS ALL THREE ROUNDS, THEY SHALL BE ADDITIONALLY AWARDED THE TITLE OF “VICTOR OF THE RUBY JUBILEE”, 1,000 IMPERIAL MARKS (EVERY MEMBER), AND THE TEAM CAPTAIN SHALL BE AWARDED A COMMEMORATIVE SASH SIGNED BY HIM PETER III.

SOLO TOURNAMENT

The second half of the tournament shall be the solo rounds. These shall all be completed with the use of standard iron swords, as well as iron armour. Contestants shall be faced with different opponents, and the winners of each round will succeed to the next. Eventually, there shall be one singular winner. All contestants must be over the age of FOURTEEN.

REGISTRATION

In order to participate in teams and/or individual events, one must register. Registration shall close one month beforehand (THURSDAY 12AM EST), and if an individual is not registered, they shall not be permitted to participate. All team members and solo competitors must be over the age of fourteen, and must not be citizens of enemy states to the Orenian Empire.
