A TIME FOR MOURNING

It is with a heavy heart that House Ruthern pens this official announcement, disclosing the unfortunate death of the Duchess-Consort, Lady Fenika Lichte Ruthern, neé Morovar. We must trust in Godani’s timing, that it is always right, and we pray for her safe ascent into the Seven Skies. There is some cause for bittersweet celebration, however, as the loss of the Duchess accompanied the birth of His Grace, Ailred var Ruthern’s second son, named Grigoryi Demitrius.

The family asks for others to respect their privacy at this time. A small memorial service will be held in Vidaus’ chapel for family and friends at a later date.

SIGNED,

His Grace, Ailred var Ruthern, Duke of Vidaus, Count of Metterden, Viscount of Greyspine, Baron of Rostig, Lord of Druzstra

Maric var Ruthern prays for his son and his grand-children as he bobs his head upon seeing his daughter-in-law arrive to the Seven Skies. "For my children to lose a mamej and now my own grand-children, I do hope that that they find some peace."

The oldest of Ailred and Fenika's children wept through the night upon having gotten those heartbreaking news from her father. At only ten years of age, the Ruthern knew her childhood had ended and she must take on duties her mother would have carried out for their family and their house. With a distrustful expression, she eyed the newest addition to the family. Never would Mathea dream of telling anyone about the silent resentment she held for the baby that took away her much beloved Mamej.

It seemed like a dim shadow had once again fallen over Druzstrat. Upon her mamej's passing the rest of House Ruthern went into mourning, preparing their black gowns once more and sporting a frown everywhere they went. The young Sofiya Antonia vas Ruthern grew anxious by the sudden shift in behaviour and she started clinging onto every family member she could find, waiting for her mamej to come around the corner and pick her up again.

Rhys var Ruthern, being at that young and unworldly age, frowns at his father's explanation in a malaise of confusion. The boy's inability to grasp the concept of the permanency of his mother's death led him to keep glancing expectantly at the door whenever he heard the comings and goings of people; none were Fenika.

Yet still the child awaited the return of his mother with a glint of hope every time a floorboard so much as creaked, carrying on with the foolish thought for days. Rhys was taught a sore lesson in time.

Oblivious to the world and the death of his mamej, Grigoryi Demitrius was born! The baby Ruthern would face a life of hardships, and would perhaps be blamed for the death of his mother.

It did not matter much, as in true newborn style, the first thing he decided to do was cry!

As Nicholas Arc reads the missive, he would shakes his head as he lets out a deep sigh "Aye, another life lost. You will be missed, Miss Fenika. I still remember on how you welcomed me to the city when I first arrived. May GODANI bless you up on the Seven Skies."

Ailred with leaden steps trailed throughout the city of Karosgrad, gloved palm glazing across the variously strung walls of the city, adorning a lit cigarette to his lips. It was a certain despair that racked his body, but he knew he had to be strong for his children and his soldiers of the military.

The young Baron of Otistadt drew a long sigh as yet another one of his generations has moved on... Robert Ludovar had mixed feelings about Fenika, though he did consider her a good friend of his. Robert took out a cigar and smoked out on his balcony, which was facing the general direction of Vidaus. "Vy will be missed, Feni... May vy rest in peace."

Prinzenas Petra Emma mourned the death of her cousin from within her chambers, choosing to don black for the next few months. If she ever had a daughter, she would name her after the cousin she loved so dearly.

Ivan Barrow grabs ahold of the missive, a frown would set on his face as he reads of the death of his childhood friend. As he sets down the missive and continues his journey deeper into the frontier, he smiles and looks up to the Seven Skies, "The Barrow outlasted the Barrow Beater."
