We have sat in the shadow of the realm for far too long. Cast amongst the rest of the filth, threatened at every turn, and attacked without reason. We let those who are easily plagued with pestilence, disease, and dishonor dictate our actions and our ways. We obey the word of the other descendants in fear, as their minds continue to be imprisoned by poisonous tongues of the dark.

I call upon my brothers and sisters. Honorable sons and daughters of Krug. Answer my call to finally enact our will. We have lived in the shadows for too long and it is time we rise up and bring ourselves back to the light. Our ancestors look down upon us in disgust as we live our days with no meaning or reason. We are to put an end to this tradition and live out our legacy as descendants of Krug.

I have spoken with the leadership of the lair and we've planned this out a week in advanced. We're in agreeable terms and plan to have some fun with it. I didnt see anything within the rules that stated specifically we could not war claim a lair. This is used as a more official way to document the orcish war against dark magics and creatures, as we have talked so much about it, but nothing is seen of us doing anything about it.

That moment when a magic lair gets war claimed because of the magic they do so that PVP can be used to ignore said magic. I'm all for conflict, but this seems to just be loopholing around CRP rules for an easy win against a group that is by nature dependant on CRP.

The Herald of Embers recounts the tale of the Third Sin to his apprentices:

Hey man, just specifying for everyone that our "agreeable terms" were just that we'd talk out how we want to do it in the appropriate warclaim post, overseen by moderation as to avoid any problems arising with a presumably mostly pvp based war. There was nothing else concretely agreed upon. If this is the official document for saying you want to attack some dark magic people, perhaps it would be best in a format where PvP and looting isn't the main goal.

We were in agreement over me making a war claim post. Im not quite sure where you came into the mix since you were not in the chat but if you have any concerns, you are more than welcome to voice them. Of course, the set rules and other terms of the war itself will happen via a war claim thread eventually made by moderation. But after speaking with Valannor, Whitewolf, and Imstuckinhell (all 3 of which I was told were leaders of said lair), they know I do not plan to just PVP and loot their base. I am unsure where you got this idea from and quite frankly I am upset a staff member just randomly accuses me of being some PVP-Loot grab hungry without ever speaking to me once about the war claim. That is not the main goal. Since you believe the reasoning behind this war claim to be that, then here are the chat logs I had with the leadership of that lair in question. We are more than happy to do CRP. We are using the war claim format as an official document of our war against dark magics to progress story lines. Just as war claims should've been from the start.

I still would have preferred if this was just like, a normal RP interaction between two groups instead of an all out declaration for a war claim.  Plus, what the hell is the source of all dark magic?

 

I'm more miffed about a WC being made than any other attempts to create feuding conflict RP - feels like a way to push past any potential conflict RP and getting right to the end of "crushing the source of dark magic so we look good and have something to brag about"
