AstriaS 3720 Share Posted September 8, 2023 Reforms of the White Court, 145 SA Issued the 18th of Malin’s Welcome, Year 145 of the Second Age BY THE WILL AND AUTHORITY OF THE WHITE THRONE, Pursuant to the goal of order and efficiency, Her Royal Majesty, Tar-Caraneth Aryantë does hereby announce the following changes to the ranks of the White Court. With great consideration, it was decided that some positions were unneeded or redundant, and accordingly, titles with which one may have been familiar may no longer be in use. Those once serving offices which have been placed in abeyance will receive due compensation for the inconvenience of this change of affairs. Similarly, there are offices which, being newly established, remain as yet unfilled. The Rights and Privileges of Courtiers I. Courtiers of the White Court, shall, so long as they serve in the role with which they are charged, be permitted to reside within the Citadel of Minas Aranath, and shall pay no tax on residence therein. II. Courtiers of the White Court shall have the privilege to sit in on meetings of the court, and provide insight and counsel to the White Throne, insofar as matters pertaining to their office arise. III. Courtiers of the White Court shall receive priority consideration when bringing petitions before the Crown. IV. Courtiers of the White Court may be entitled to a monetary reward negotiated with the Castellan of Minas Aranath, so long as the budget of the royal coffers allow. Positions within the White Court of the Númenaranyë Knight Commander: Commanding Officer of the Númendil Guard, the levies of the Númenaranyë and any other royal holdings, tasked with the training of the Kingdom’s men-at-arms, and the enforcement of Royal Law. (Ser Gáladain Glennmaer @Pepto) Court Chaplain: Serves as the Church’s representative in the Court. Appointment to this position is to be reserved for the most senior of those Clergymen serving in the Royal Capital. (Antonius Cardinal Artorus @Reckless Banzai Screamer) Royal Castellan: Tasked with the management of the Household of Minas Aranath and the stewards of Númenost the Fair, as well as charged with the organization of all properties held by the Royal Family. (Ser Alwyn Glennmaer @Josh3738) Royal Seneschal: Tasked with overseeing the affairs of the Court in the Monarch’s absence, as well as the management of the Royal House’s retainers. (Lord Elerríon Seregon @Kyrrn) Royal Architect: Charged with the maintenance of the Royal Capital of Númenost and the planning and construction of new structures therein. (Azrubel Arthalion @Fimlin) Royal Librarian: Overseer of the Royal Library of Númenost, and advisor on matters of lore and learning. (VACANT) Royal Quartermaster: Charged with overseeing the Kingdom’s stock of goods and war materiel, as well as ensuring its appropriate distribution and usage. (Lysandra Sullas) Royal Stablemaster: Tasked with the breeding and training of horses fit for the Royal Guard and Household. (Ser Adrielle Thassion @_Hermes__) Royal Physician: Tasked with providing medical care and advice to the monarch and the court. (Lady Cálienë Seregon @Demented_Delila) Lords of the Númenaranyë: The leal Lords and Ladies of the Kingdom’s vassals. Retainers of the Royal House: Those employed directly by the Royal House for varying nongovernmental tasks, ranging from artisans to laborers. To be hired on a contractual basis. Court Entertainers: Masterful musicians and artists hired to provide entertainment to attendees of the Court. All positions within the White Court may be granted or revoked at the pleasure of the reigning monarch. Those wishing to serve the Crown as a retainer or entertainer of the Court may contact the Royal Seneschal.
