HIS HIGHNESS, Prince Richard Leonus, Patriarch of Stassion

"I wonder then, what it is that this ambitious-to-a-fault ninny is prince of, exactly." Renilde shook her head and tsked her tongue, penning a letter to the Emperor of Snoren for them to investigate this wrongdoing.

The Prince would remark to his father, "I am glad these supposed cousins have changed their name to save themselves from the Ferrymen. It is not a surprise those who descend from cowards behave in such a way when threatened by the blue bandana bad boys. It is good for the brand to disown these self-hating Aaunishmen who betray the memory or their ancestors. Is Stassion a type of Aaunish ale? They must pay the Ferrymen off with 50 barrels a month as tribute to avoid a fight What next? Will they change the locks on their keep to allow Ferrymen access to their families and gold?"

The Prince would set out on patrol which is apart of his duties in the Armada. He would make sure to keep an eye on the copper mine, he had heard legends of a ghost of a slain bandit that haunted the mine. Even though the bandit had not been seen in a few months you could still hear the whispers in the wind late at night. Maybe he would put in a word to the Church to investigate.

"It is a blight upon our time that no peoples can define their essence, their justification for being, unless it is in relation to an entity that bounds out of living memory as a deer does from a field that has little left to offer. Who are we? What are we? What may we be?" Demetrius Barrow asks Milena as the two share cold tea in the melting square of Valdev. @JoanOfArc

Milena considered the words her husband spoke, thinking them over as she replied while staring at the cold tea. The surrounding parades of various instruments and balls could be overheard by both of them in their apartment. All were celebrating the removal from a nation that neither marked the first time their kingdom had been independent nor its creation.

"The tea is getting rather cold," she remarked, staring at another missive in front of her. It was about Ferrymen banning any mention or use of Oren, a nation that had died fifty years ago.

"Yam confused?" Demetrius var Ruthern scratched at his brow. "Since when did this Stassion fall so low as to listen to the likes of the lowly ferrymen? Let alone insult our King whom could niet care less of them." He'd state within the confinements of his manor.

Markus has a fever dream where the royal house of Balian adopted the name Sarkozy as a way of escaping consequence of the Ferrymen. He wakes up in a cold sweat.

The young De Rouen retraces the tales read to him as an infant of the Novellen bloodline. He ponders and recalls the alliance the two families shared for generations.

“A very sad and pathetic end to the Heartland Novellens, generations of their name brought down on a whim.” Intoned a one eyed bastard, regardless of his indifference to the once rulers of the Empire, he couldn’t escape feeling bad about the lost souls who now watched their family name shrivel to dust.

The Kingdom of Oren was able to fight back all the bandits and actually manage to get a win streak on them instead of hiding behind gates in any type of conflict

"And now they bow to them." remarked Andrik var Ruthern.

"When a Kingdom dissolves, the Crown often has custodians. Which is clearly the case right now." Caius Godwin Alstion stated.

Ezren commented back to the king unprompted "Tu get to live rent free though!" he let out a chuckle, tallying his winnings from the recent competition. "Do they really expect tu to change your entire family's name over some little squeak of a threat? ". Ezren went off to the manor near the palace, calling as he approached "Princessa! Did tu hear? Tu have to change tu name because some dimwits are squeaking over it like little mice!" @HIGH_FIRE

Sibyl would look towards Ezren with a bewildered gaze before lifting the missive with an even further bewildered look on her face. "The descendants of the greatest failure and kinslayer Novellen wish to threaten my ability to use my name? Nen I will keep using it" she spoke with a roll of her eyes. As she did she would enlist Ezren's help in preparing the new club for business!

Ottavia of Pompourelia prays the balian pretenders continue to use their false name.

[!] Caius Godwin Alstion just pens an open letter for everyone to read in regards to the tension.

"It does surprise me how the one branch that hails from Balian keeps insisting that they are the legal heirs to the Novellen dynasty when the the progeny of Emperor Philip III and Empress Anastasia I was still intact. It was however due to the Acre Revolt that Frederick I, King of Oren and his wife died; but their son and heir and many daughters were still alive.

There is nothing legal about the claim of the so-called "Novellens of Balian" in regards to trying to claim the rights of my distant kin who have a direct progeny leading back to the last Emperor and Empress of Oren. As due to the lack of argumentation as to why the Balianites think they are the heirs to the titles and styles of the ancient dynasty, I must support the true claim of Prince Richard and his consort.

I urge the people of Balian to do their own investigation in regards to the succession of the dynasty that they are ruled by for the real patriarchy is at this very moment within the ancestral heartlands of your forebears and their previous lieges.

Signed,

Caius Godwin Alstion"

[!] A letter bearing the Seal of the House of Stassion would arrive to Caius Goodwin Alstion

"To the good Caius Goodwin,

I write to you now to show my appreciation for this missive, your knowledge of my family's history is most admirable, though within my own missive written prior we made clear of the Household's dissolvement and all claims defunct and destroyed outside of what I as Patriarch already hold. Those who claim such now are merely pretenders, let us ensure your words are not misconstrued! But again I thank you for your words and support on these matters.

Signed,
Prince Richard Leonus Stassion
