The usage of the remains of a Descendant is no oddity to the Fjarriagua - especially blood. For the arts drawing upon the essence of blood is one that both Blood Mages and Fjarriagua share, although for different reasons. Yet, it does not take one long to see the ways that both magics go hand-in-hand, for an experienced Fjarriagua knows the demand and sacrifice that her own unholy powers require.

Through the sacrifice of specific parts of her prey, with the addition of manipulating Genus, a Fjarriagua may draw upon an entirely new set of abilities and utility, although ones that do not innately come to either Fjarriagua or Blood Mage. Rather, requiring them to be taught such. Or rather, experiment themselves until the intended results come to fruition.

Fjarriagua, due to their almost-frozen and slow blood, are incapable of regenerating Genus as a typical person would. Rather, their Genus is limited, and one that requires constant harvesting from the many sacrifices that they are renown for. Through harvesting the blood of their prey - ones possessing Genus - the Fjarriagua may imbue their power within it, transmorphing the Genus into a corrupted state. One frozen, eternally preserved. Which may be consumed by the Fjarriagua to replenish her own Genus. Or even kept in storage.

Spoiler

JcfpiCu.png

To create Corrupted Genus - one that may be preserved for eternity - Fjarriagua merely need to infuse their essence within it, turning that blood into a frozen, thick sludge. Similarly to their own blood, which may then be stored within vials or jars, and kept safe within an icy temperature, including on their person, as they are cold enough for such. Should they not be stored in a cold location, then that liquid's consistency will turn fully liquid as typical blood would be, with the Genus within it being destroyed.

-Blood Witches is not a new magic but rather a combination of Blood Magic and Fjarriagua.

-The knowledge of these rites can be self taught by Fjarriagua who also practice Blood Magic, this knowledge is also known to a Mother upon her ascension. A Blood Mage is able to learn of these rituals, but requires to be taught by a Mother or Fjarriagua who practices Blood Magic to know it.

-Fjarriagua cannot automatically regenerate their own Genus, and therefore require other sources to gain such. Harvesting it from other sources and preserving them in a cryostasis, turning it into Corrupted Genus, and then they may either inject it into their own blood, up to a maximum of [5] genus within themselves, or by encapsulating them in a cold area.

-The preserved (corrupted) Genus is incapable of mixing with normal Genus, similarly to adding lukewarm water to cold water. Cancelling each other out. Requiring either one or the other to be purely used.

-The Fjarriagua's Genus is inherently corrupted, meaning they may not mix their own corrupted genus with normal genus for rituals, rather relying on either other people's normal genus for typical rituals in Blood Magic, or by corrupting genus themselves and mixing it with their own.

-Corrupted Genus may be used for any typical Blood Magic rites requiring typical genus.

-Those who are taught or self teach these rites require it to be marked on their Blood Magic MA.

-Does not require a separate application

-Due to the usage of rolls and the remains of Descendants - even fresh ones - those partaking will need to screenshot their emotes and log them to the appropriate ST.

-Creation of the Genus has no limit on emotes and is a non-combative thing. They merely need to drain Genus from anything possessing it, infusing their essence within it, and then quickly storing it in a container and either kept on their person, or put in a cold room.

-A Fjarriagua may simultaneously be a Blood Mage for any rituals listed below. Any Blood Mages in the rituals will add appropriate modifiers to the rolls as is seen in Blood Magic lore. Any extra Fjarriagua to the ritual may add a +1 to the roll modifier. The modifier for a Fjarriagua who is also a Blood Mage is able to stack these modifiers.

Corrupted, is the very flesh of a Fjarriagua. Their very blood; the key to corrupting one's body, capable of inflicting horrific curses upon those not of their own. For that, they sought to further weaponize it, twisting that dark essence that slowly courses within their body, and inflicting it into the bodies of living creatures, to - in turn - corrupt their very form as well, resembling that of the Fjarriagua. Flesh to Ice.

(Non-Combative)

Flesh to Ice - [2 Corrupted Genus] - Water + Mortality

Through the carving of a rune of Mortality and Water upon an animal - dead or alive - using Corrupted Genus, the creature's body will begin to freeze over. Its body as a whole, corrupted with their very essence, and in turn, suffer from a similar transformation: Its eyes growing a dim, azure glow within their sockets, as their maw grows rows and rows of extremely sharp and jagged teeth, similarly to those of a Fjarriagua. Their blood turned extremely slow and slushy, their heartbeat slowed almost to the point of non-existence, and their breathing rendered nil. Gaining an immunity to the cold, but in return, suffering from all weaknesses a Fjarriagua's body possesses; such as Aurum, Deific-adjacent magics and Fire.

Spoiler

-No ST is required to oversee this, as it can instead be RPed by the players alone.

-Cannot be made with normal Genus. Requires strictly Corrupted Genus to create it.

-The animals corrupted that way undergo a similar transformation to their body as a Fjarriagua's, giving them the same strengths and weaknesses as a Fjarriagua. Such as less blood loss, no breathing, immunity to cold, and so on. At the cost of weakness to fire, deific-adjacent magics, aurum and heat, following the same type of hurt/effects that a Fjarriagua would feel if struck.

-If the animal is up to the size of a wolf, it follows all the rules of independent combat pets. Anything larger than a combat pet is capable of being corrupted, although unusable in combat. Mounts are allowed, following mount rules.

-Charms do not affect them, nor can they disguise. They come with the drawbacks of being frozen, without the benefits of hiding it.

-ST signature is required for the animals, up to a cap of [3] animals connected to each Fjarriagua

-Cannot corrupt an animal larger than a grizzly bear. Anything larger will have to be submitted through MArt.

GFEpIcn.png

Unlike their living counterpart, these animals do not have full sentience of their own, rather being direct servants of their superior counterparts. Taking orders only by those who corrupted them, and no one else. For only their creators may interact with them. Should they be stranded somewhere, or left in a place without orders or anyone to follow, they will automatically make their way towards the nearest altar - the structure that calls to them. Where they may wander within.

Growing a taste for meat and flesh - raw above all else - and the very warmth within it, these animals feed purely on them, regardless of their previous form's dietary restrictions.

Spoiler

-They can only listen to orders from a Fjarriagua or one holding their mark, including Mothers. Not listening to anyone else.

-They are not fully sentient, but rather direct servants- the very underlings of the coven.

-The animals' need for meat and flesh is one for flavor, and not a feeding mechanic. The players are not require to go feed them periodically through RP to maintain them.

-The creator of the animal (the one who performed the corruption spell on it) may order that animal to follow the orders of someone else. But the creator will always remain on the very top of the chain, their orders above all else.

60jrE6q.png

Upon their death, should they be struck by anything that would Soft-PK a Fjarriagua, they will be Soft-PKed, requiring their body (mostly intact) to be returned to the Altar, and be subject to the ritual responsible for reviving a Fjarriagua, requiring but a single Mother - or two Fjarriagua - rather than the full amount, due to their lesser nature; being much easier to bring back. Putting them at no ritual cooldown, nor taking up any of the maximum slots for revival per week.

Should the corpse not be present, or most of it destroyed, then a new corpse of the same animal is required for its soul to return upon that new vessel.

In the case of the Fjarriagua being slain, the animal bound to her will perish on the spot. Regardless of whether the Fjarriagua Soft-PKed or not, the animal requires to be brought back from an altar with its body mostly intact - or a new corpse of the same animal altogether. If the Fjarriagua was manually brought back from an altar, then the Mother and the partaking Fjarriagua for the ritual may revive all the animal corpses and the slain Fjarriagua together in one go.

Spoiler

-Killing a corrupted pet is the same way one would kill any pet. Such as vital strikes to the heart or head, decapitation, melting them to death, etc. Although it is much harder to kill them through blood loss alone, as their blood is rendered viscous and thick, akin to a slowly melting ice- similarly to the Fjarriagua.

-Animals have to be manually brought back through an altar by having their mostly intact corpse present, through the ritual responsible for reviving a Soft-PKed Fjarriagua, although only needing [1] sole Mother, or [2] Fjarriagua. Without putting any of them on ritual cooldown, nor taking up any of the maximum revivals per week.

-Should they undergo a typical reviving ritual to revive a Soft-PKed Fjarriagua, they may simultaneously revive all her animals should the corpses be present by the altar.

-A Fjarriagua that perishes will have all her animals created by her perish on the spot.

-An animal may be Hard-PKed if the Fjarriagua who owns it slays it herself, requiring that listed animal upon her Blood Magic MA to be cleared as well as the slot it takes up.

(Combative)

A self-sacrificial method of wielding ice. A Fjarriagua practicing the arts of blood may draw upon her own icy blood through injuries - self-inflicted or otherwise - making use of its frozen state. With that, she may draw upon her very blood, consuming [1] Genus to cast a frost-related spell, without spending the extra emote to conjure ice in regions not possessing ice. A sacrifice of one for one, quid pro quo. Trading her very health and well-being.

The spells conjured will have a reddish hue to them, representing the frozen blood that was used in the stead of freezing ice from outward sources.

Due to the corrupted nature to the blood of a Fjarriagua, those struck by their frozen blood will find their wounds affected by some form of pull, causing them to bleed at about 1/3rd of a faster pace than the typical bleeding amount caused by the injury.

Spoiler

-The Fjarrigua may trade [1] of her own Genus instead of spending [1] extra emote to conjure ice in the case of being in a region without ice to draw from.

-Cannot use any other person's Genus other than herself.

-The consequences of draining herself must be properly RPed, as it is self-sacrifice for more efficient casting.

This rite covers the area in a mist - a mist that shrouds the sun, disallowing its light from penetrating through it. Under that frozen mist, there is an eternal soft chanting, like a whisper. One with barely comprehensible whispers, although ones telling the tale of Skjoldier. Of the Entity that lurks within.

Within that foggy mist, one can see a piercing and glowing gaze, staring at those who dare look up. The eyes following, akin to the moon following one wherever they may be.

All organic lifeforms slain within this area, will have this dark mist seep within their body, overtaking their body and mind, akin to spreading the curse of the Fjarriagua. Their body undergoing similar changes; eyes glowing a dim azure, body frozen into a cryostasis, and rows of horrifyingly sharp teeth. Ones lacking sentience, merely whispering the chanting present within the mist itself as they wander aimlessly, within the borders of the rite.

Should any of those who are not a Fjarriagua or a part of their kin, these creatures will stare towards them, their mouths moving as they speak the words within these chants- the words within these whispers. Amplifying the sound of the tale of the North. They do no more than that, not reacting to any injury taken to themselves. They will continue to speak until slain, or forcefully dragged out of the mist, where that mist overtaking them will exit their body, allowing the dead to remain at peace once more.

Those who sleep beneath this endless night, will be overtaken by nightmares of the North. Nightmares of the Entity. A calling, for them to accept their path in becoming one with Ice - yet a threat to those who resist.

Spoiler

To perform such a ritual requires the presence of at least [1] Blood Mage, as well as [3] Fjarriagua to perform. The Fjarriagua may be one of the Blood Mages simultaneously. Requiring them to drain [8] total Genus, fuelling the circle with it. In the very center of that circle, a rune of Mortality must be present, as well as Water, Air, Mist and Particle. Then, may the Fjarriagua chant the tales of Skjoldier, evoking the very essence of the North upon that circle, activating the ritual’s effects.

Additional Genus or Blood Mages may be used in the rite in order to gain a roll modifier.

Rolls [1-2]

The ritual will result in a disaster, capable of producing a violent explosion, flash-freezing the entire area, ice encapsulating everything around it, ice-related beasts to spawn, the summoning of any other hostile creatures such as a Voidal Horror, and so on - at the discretion of the ST overseeing it.

Rolls [3-5]

The ritual will - as above - result in a disaster, although to a lesser degree. Unlike its harsher counterpart, explosions and the summoning of monsters will remain to a lesser and less deadly degree. The explosion itself should not cause more than daze, or wound some of those associated.

Roll [6] and higher

The rite is a success, and the ST may place a region message and/or signs to inform those within the region of the effects.

-So long as the instructions are followed, those partaking are capable of taking aesthetic freedom in its casting as it is non-combative. Although it should take at the very least 4+ emotes and should not be half-assed.

-The rite’s effects last for [1] OOC week, without the presence of an Altar in the region. With its presence, then it will remain until the Altar itself is destroyed, or through the reversal of it by a Mother, stripping the effect from the altar that fuels it.

-Requires at the very least ST signs, though preferably a region message. An expiry date must be stated.

-Upon the death of any organic life, including animals, Descendants, and beast-races such as Hou-zi, Kha etc. their body will be overtaken by the corrupting mist, following the transformation of a Fjarriagua. The same bodily effects of a Fjarriagua applies to them, similarly to Flesh Corruption's benefits and weaknesses.

-Should they be slain (again), the mist will be unable to control them again.

-They may be controlled by a Fjarriagua ushering orders towards them, although the creatures are incapable of partaking in combat.

-ST, with the consent of the Fjarriagua who led the Rite of Frozen Sun, are capable of controlling these creatures both for out of combat and in-combat for the sake of ST events.

-While it is all of non-combative nature and more so for RP flavor, the sunlight will be almost entirely blocked out by that mist, only faintly illuminating the area around themselves.

-Those within the area will not have their sight reduced within the mist.

-Creatures will stare at all that are not a Fjarriagua or any of their kin, and will utter the same whispers and chants that plague the land - although to a slightly higher voice.

-The mist itself is not directly harmful, although it will cause the area to be considered cold - through a combination of both the mist being cold and the lack of sunlight. Requiring proper clothing for the occasion.

-Druids will find that nature in the region is screaming. They are unable to commune nor calm down with the dead controlled animals.

-Just like the Fjarriagua lore, a Mother is considered [2] Fjarriagua for all ritual reasons.

(Non-Combative)

A rite embodying the very corrupting essence of the Fjarriagua. To Corrupt one means to corrupt them to their very bone. To corrupt them to their very soul. For the live victim's body will begin to rapidly shift and contort, surfacing its greatest horrors: A manifestation of their deepest fears and failures, in the form of that of a creature.

JcfpiCu.png

Through the drawing of a circle, using Corrupted Blood, the Fjarriagua may place a live victim within it. Before adding the runes of Mortality, Power, and Dark. Requiring [2] Fjarriagua and [2] Blood mages - a Fjarriagua being capable of simultaneously being both.

Then, they may draw upon [6] Corrupted Genus specifically, before drawing the Water symbol upon the forehead of the victim, allowing the rite's effects to activate.

Their body will begin to bulge throughout, shifting and twisting in horrifying ways as they will begin to surface their deepest fears and failures, heightened to the point of horror. For example, in the case of a persona's deepest fear being their problems with their physical appearance and insecurities of it, their body may shift to that of a bald humanoid figure, with saggy skin. Elongated claws and missing teeth, to represent a heightened form of ugliness, in the form of a monster.

This creature, throughout the horrific transformation will eventually pass out due to the overwhelmingly painful process, as they may then begin upon waking up.

Spoiler

-Requires OOC consent from the victim, the time limit for the Curse being [3] OOC days.

-Curse is reverted upon persona's death, their corpse reverting to the form of their previous selves, to represent that they have been horrifyingly corrupted.

-The monster is knocked out as soon as it gets transformed, allowing it to eventually wake up at a later time.

SLOktdt.png

A creature they have become, their very body shifting to that of a creature, capable of taking them to many horrific forms. Their strength, capable of increasing or decreasing to the limits of their respective race, and their body able to shift to a maximum of [1] foot in size. For they possess the remains of the rune upon their forehead, representing that they were once Descendant to the knowledgeable, but one whose sanity is lost. One whose very body betrays them.

During this state, they will find themselves incapable of wielding proper weaponry, due to their horrific nature being far too simple and enraged for such, as well as their new temporary biology making it unwieldy. They may, though, have a thicker skin, comparable to that of padded leather, that skin being more crystallized and icy in nature. Making blunt attacks easier to break through than sharp.

Their blood, as well, inherits the traits of that of the corrupted blood that they have been transformed with, similarly to that of a Fjarriagua. Akin to a slowly melting ice, viscous and thick.

Spoiler

-Their strength may increase to the maximum of their respective race until the end of the curse, or even lower to the minimum of their race. Stamina, dexterity etc may not be affected in any way.

-They may show a wide range of aesthetic freedom so long as it is not inherently combative in nature, such as smaller limbs that sprout out of their body but disfunctional, or the snout of an elephant, although incapable of attacking people with it.

-They may have simple changes to their humanoid form such as claws, fangs and such, although without adding any extra functions to them. For example, they may not have glowing eyes that flash-bang people, or an ink sac that can shoot ink at people and in turn blind them. It must all be within the limits of very simplistic nature.

-Their body may turn more creature-like and less humanoid in nature, although must look like a Descendant turned that way. For example, they may take on a body that looks similar to a horrific wolf, although need to look as if they are a human imitation of it, although in a very twisted and dark nature.

-In this state, they are unable to hold proper weaponry - save for improvised weapons, or anything crude such as rocks. Although they may have built-in biological weaponry formed from their own body, such as a bone-blade, or teeth, claws, etc.

-They may have a thicker skin, similarly to the durability of padded leather. That thicker skin is easier to break through with blunt than with sharp.

-Their thicker and slower-moving blood makes bleeding out a harder feat for them, being that of 1/3rd of the pace of a typical Descendant.

GFEpIcn.png

Their very minds are not kept free from the corruption's effects. Rather, they are turned more brutal, more beastial in nature, for they are set out to achieve one thing in specific: Destruction.

They generally tend to seek out and even wish to obliterate people it has any manner of connection to, whether positive or negative, such as their own family and friends, or even those they have been victim of abuse to.

Spoiler

-The creature's mind is overtaken with thoughts of destruction, incapable of quelling such. They set out to destroy what they are most connected to.

-Should the Fjarriagua & the victim both consent to such, upon destroying something of significance that was to them, such as their transformation surfacing their insecurity with beauty, and destroying the person within their history that attacked them for their physical appearance, they may then revert the curse, calling it complete.
