TO THE PEOPLE OF HYSPIA,
With the Disappearance of our House Patriarch, Sir Laurens Halcourt d’Artois, the Barony of Campagnon has been left without a baron for over 8 summers. The council of Clermont has seen fit to officially declare Sir Laurens missing and presumed dead. The House of Halcourt shall enter a period of mourning, and with this does the house name Sir Laurens’ Heir, Her Ladyship Phoibe Chloe Halcourt d’Artois du Clermont, Baroness of Campagnon and she and her heirs shall hold claim to the house and the titles held by Sir Laurens.

Due to the unknown status of Sir Laurens, the house has decided against a formal vigil and shall instead privately mourn his loss.

She ties her hair up, and out of her face, and decides to pay a visit as soon as able to her friend, Fleur Halcourt.

Elara Athénaïs Halcourt, Baroness-Emeritia of Artois and former heiress to the Halcourt name, offered a soft (albeit wrinkled) smile upon being read the news by one of her ladies. Many years ago, before she had been rendered permanently bedridden and unable to care for herself, she and her father had agreed upon Phoibe's place as Elara's replacement in the succession. It was not a memory she looked upon fondly, though she heaved a sigh of relief knowing the future of House Halcourt was in safe hands.

While the Halcourts were not planning on holding a proper ceremony for her Grandfather, Phoibe's eldest daughter, Fleur still decided to head out into the gardens and gather bouquets of flowers to honor Sir Laurens. The young girl of Nine decided she herself would plan her own little Le beausorti for her grandfather.

Sir Laurens Halcourt craned his head as he were presumed dead. Having been the head of the Council, he; too wonders when they met. Regardless, the Baron-Emeritus was only curious why his granddaughter didn't just ask him for all this. He had retired with honor to the Petran countryside. He was not without an Aviary. Perhaps it would be better for the former Marquis and Chancellor of the Commonwealth to be missing- either way, he smiled an Auvergnian smile and uttered, "Princeps in Omnibvs"
