I like' Gaius' system alot but meh, I'll vote rp as there will be a mad scramble for VA for those who want to RP.

Gaius choise makes it that one of the sides of the thing has fewer votes. I sugest multiple choises being enable. But for that to happen, it has to be changed now, so everyone can revote while the number of votes is below 50

It takes away from both sides... That's why it's a compromise between them.

Compromise is an excellent way of settling things between toddlers.

 

Doesn't work so well with teenagers and adults, though. We can't all be happy with a compromise because eventually one party just gets pissed off when they have to deal with the part of the compromise that they didn't like.

If not for the capitals having the decision to set a default, I would have voted for Gaius's. That sort of defeats the whole concept of voting if the leader can just pick what he likes. If that were removed, I'd chose Gaius's over PVP. That just seems to create loads of problems.

I hated being robbed on the roads because they had armor and swords, when rply, Vie would be able to outrun them. Or fight them!

If PVP wins, everyone with poor computers sort of get thrown under the bus. Means we can't play combat characters, which is a real drag for a lot of us. I rarely get any combat roleplay anymore, but when I do, i thoroughly enjoy it. I'd hate for PVP to become the norm, as it would take away from good possible roleplay.

 

If the person powergames, report them and they'll get a strike or ban, VA revoke, or some other punishment. Or, you know, you can actually take the time to explain to them how they are powergaming and how they can improve.

I voted for PVP by default. Gaius' system isn't bad by any means, but I really think full default PVP is what's best for the server.
