  8. A Statement from Clan Kvitravn Regarding internal Norlandic tensions To those it may concern, This past Elven's day has come with many unexpected surprises and heightened tensions between the Kingdom of Norland and Haelun'or, and even between the Clans of Norland. It has become abundantly clear that the Kvitravn clan cannot remain silent, lest we be forgotten. For those of you who are unaware, Donovan II Freysson has set forth a call for a Kingsmoot. The Kingsmoot, an ancient and unique tradition within our Kingdom, has set the path for capable and strong-minded rulers to come to the Throne many a time. Under the reign of King Caedric Edvardsson and now King Halvar Edvardsson, this tradition has seemingly been all but forgotten by the Edvardsson Clan. Us Kvitravns are men of Tradition, History, and Honor. In this past Elven's day we have watched the events within our Kingdom transpire and have taken the time to reflect on both our History and Traditions. After much thought, we have come to a conclusion that may inevitably cause more tensions as a whole. Therefore, Chieftain Hali of Clan Kvitravn and son of Chieftain Olav II declares Clan Kvitravn's support for a return to Tradition and the reinstatement of the Kingsmoot. We, the men of Clan Kvitravn, shall herein back the Clan of Freysson in their endeavor to restore this seemingly lost tradition. This is not a cry for blood, nor is it a wish to divide the Kingdom further than it may be. However, the Kvitravns shall stand by their Freysson comrades. Signed, Clan Kvitravn
  9. Chieftain Hali of Clan Kvitravn raises a brow at the missive "So, 'e decided nae teh do ah Kingsmoot despite teh calls fer it and jus' passed it teh 'is son?"
  10. Chieftain Hali Olavsson Kvitravn reacts with great surprise to the call for a Kingsmoot. While he obviously expected the minor Clan-on-Clan tensions, he didn't expect the Freyssons to act so boldly. "The Freyssons have always proven their strength on the field of battle, especially Donovan. My Father and Grandfather both fought under him, and perhaps I will soon as well. I must consult my fellow Clanmembers."
  11. Chieftain Hali Olavsson Kvitravn, Chieftain of Clan Kvitravn and a purifier of the Red Faith looks upon the missive with discontent. After some thought, he mutters to himself in his home at the Kvitravn Manor. "We're meant teh be savin' ourselves fer the Orenians, nae our own allies."
  12. Vicente Murietta, Commander of Hyspian/Osanoran forces reads the missive. At first as he begins reading his opinion is neutral, but as the missive mentions the Sutican deserts his brow furrows "Should this "Desert Company" cause problems within the City of Osanora or its surrounding lands belonging to Hyspia, it shall be met with the cold steel of our blades. Be warned, Peralien Mirthsense."
  13. Henry Bishop, a supposed "Rascal" who also happens to be in the HRA looks upon the missive with indifference "Well then, that sure is interesting but I sure don't care."

  15. Henry Bishop looks upon the missive with a saddened sigh. "What Corbin Wick did was wrong, to endanger his comrades and to betray the trust of the Rimetrolls...Regardless, I feel that now we have done irreparable damage to the Rimetroll's opinion of us. In the cold harshness of the Rimeveld, its the strongest who survive. We cannot afford to make peace now, not with all the blood that has been shed. While it pains me to say it, we as a Kingdom must press on to finish what we started and eliminate them before they can eliminate us. In this war of survival, it is kill or be killed, and we as a people have made our choice clear."
  16. Caesar Einarsson Kvitravn lets out a saddened sigh from the Father's Halls. "Damn it, if onleh oi 'ad lived long enough teh join." He says before returning to his fellow comrades.

"You were more of a Father to me than anyone ever was..." He says tearfully, then walking off to the Providence basilica to pray for Alfonso's soul.

  19. Henry Bishop would read the missive, having seen the brave soldiers of the Haense Royal Army risk their lives to put out the fire in the barracks. After remembering the display of bravery, he tears up the missive and goes off to find the nearest officer of the HRA to enlist.
[!] Copies of the above Poem are passed around to residents of Osanora, Cordoba, Nueva Tierra, and any who are capable of understanding the language.
  21. THE FLIGHT OF THE RAVEN It was the dead of night on the 18th of the Deep Cold, 1812. Two old rivals met within the streets of Varhelm City, one a young man longing to please his Clan, the other was one who had seen the horrors of true war. On this night, the two men made their way just outside the city to the arena as words were exchanged. Mentions of Honor and Betrayals long past and the crimes of a man who had changed his ways. No matter what was said between the two men, what is certain is that one of these men would not be leaving the Arena with their life. Their swords were drawn and the night was quiet, except for the cold northern winds that breezed in the hair of the men. Caesar felt a chill up his spine, perhaps a sign of what was to come, perhaps just the cold. The warriors crossed swords, both wielding the proud weapons of their ancestors. Steel clanged against steel, blood was spilled from the wounds dealt, and tears of sadness were shed. Though they had been foes for years, the two men held an admiration and respect for each other. Even now as they clashed in their final battle, Caesar could not help but think of all the years he had wasted pursuing a man for the crimes against his Father many moons ago. The two clashed for what seemed to be hours, which no doubt it was. The moon was quickly fading, and the warriors knew they must end it quickly. If either was discovered, it would be their body hanging from the Ashwood. Caesar thought to himself for a moment, wondering if this was the night he would finally see his Father Einar again. In an instant, he felt it. The cold steel of a longsword slashing against his throat, splitting it open. As he felt Death coming to grip him, the Sun came rising just over the mountain. Caesar watched the Sun with watered eyes, and though he could not speak he certainly had thoughts rushing through his head. memories of Einar, his older Brothers, his Nephews, Terra, Ancelia, all those who had been dear to him throughout the years. His hand went limp against the cold stone, his mind slowly fading into what he saw as a bright light, and it was over. Caesar Kvitravn was Gone, his body left in the Arena where he had fought to his last and his Father's sword at his side.
  22. An artist's depiction of the Duel within Eastcliffe. 15th of The Grand Harvest, 1812 A missive regarding the duel in Eastcliffe has been released to the Public. In the halls of the great city of Eastcliffe partook a magnificent ball of beautiful proportions. The Duchess Aramis of Eastcliffe had sent out invitations to any who wished to attend such a splendid occasion, attracting Canonist Clergymen, Nobility of all nations, and even commoners. Among the many who attended was Ser Gustaven von Halsfield, a Knight of Hyspia and a Baron under the Principality of Sedan, and Caesar Einarsson Kvitravn, the Son of a Norlandic Chieftain and a warrior of the Northguard. Relations between the two men had never been smooth, Gustaven and Caesar had engaged in a brawl with each other within the Tavern of Osanora over the supposed infidelity of Gustaven towards his pregnant wife only two months prior. At the ball while Caesar was conversing with one of the attendees, Gustaven approached him and a hoard of insults was thrown between the two men. After Gustaven had proclaimed his masculinity, Caesar publicly challenged the man to a duel. After consent was given by the Duchess Aramis, the two were taken outside the keep with a crowd of onlookers following closely behind, including one of Gustaven's alleged mistresses. The duel began after a handshake was exchanged between the two men, and swords were drawn with Caesar uttering a quick prayer to Bjorn the Paragon and the All-Father. As the two men stared each other down, time seemingly slowed for the two combatants. What seemed like an hour of glaring the other man down was only a few seconds as Gustaven swung his blade towards Caesar's leg. Reacting quickly, Caesar was able to parry the man's attack and proceeded to try and bash the man's face with his hilt to no avail. Gustaven again thrusted his blade towards Caesar's leg, grazing the man and prompting a painful roar from him. Caesar lifted his blade high into the air, grasping it with both hands as he swung downward at Gustaven's forearm...and then it was over. Caesar's blade had cut almost halfway through Gustaven's forearm causing him to yell in pain. With a mixture of curses, cries of pain, and yelling, Gustaven fell to his knees and began clutching his wound. A mere moment later, Gustaven yelled out to stop the duel. The fight was over, Caesar had won after only four moves were exchanged. Caesar let out a proud roar as Gustaven fell unconscious, praising the All-Father and Clan Kvitravn and then sheathing his blade. The onlookers dispersed, and the medics on sight rushed to tend to Gustaven's wounds.
  23. Henry Bishop looks upon his relative's missive proudly, signing the Lorraine. "Your faith in GOD remains strong, dear Ivarus, you make the House of Bishop proud. Forever Standing."
