He sets his lips down to the child's dark, messy hair, the boy utterly oblivious to his father's rantings as they continue. "Ave Whitestorm. We are the legacy of Hawk Whitestorm, not some prancing noble lord." He grits his teeth behind stubbornly sealed lips before growlign one last time. "Strike hard, strike fast, Whitestorm..."

    After recovering from the pain and returning to his senses, Bircalin, sitting cross-legged before a cozy hearth, sets down the spilled bowl of piping hot mushroom broth at his feet. He gazes into the flames licking at the firewood, tossing another log into the crackling embers as he mumbles to himself bluntly. "Never can a man enjoy some warm broth, lately..."

    The "aw" and "au" sounds draw out the word a little more. So Hawk is like "Hork" whereas Hock is pretty much just "Hok". That's for me, anyway.
