  1. bad faith from whoever was creating that enchantment and should result in the blacklist of the appropriate MA's If the person holding them did not spend their own action(of which nobody can dictate for them. Doing someone's action for them, is textbook powergaming definition), then the enchantment simply wont activate. Secondly, enchanters sickness applies to the person who activated the enchantment. If you activated it why would someone else take the sickness? None of this 'someone abused lore so lets change the lore' BS. The appropriate channel is to punish the offenders. Name drop them. Do it.
  2. Feels like a non-issue to me, as enchantments require an action to utilize. Someone else saying the trigger word etc doesn't force me to take my action. If I simply do something else with my action, then boom the enchantment isnt working because Im not actively manipulating it. I'm very curious about what situation you were in to bring this up? Spill the tea, sis. Name drop. Who did what and why did they think it was a good idea? I'm nosey
  3. Defeat lingered in the Chimera like a bad taste. A boiling rage from the results of his efforts going to waste. Defeat? No - He wasn't defeated. He won. Their group cleaved through their enemies like it was nothing, as that is their purpose. Beings who fight every day of their lives did not know defeat by the hands of mortals. But this feeling within him, it was not normal. Leif was dead, he was uninjured. But still... It was decades in the making. He had spent the better part of eight years hiding in the walls of their home upon Almaris. Learning, watching the children grow into adults. At first he simply had no interest in Leif, until the eve when he was discovered. The Chimera remembered quite well the shocked faces of the de Senna's when he could call them by name. Talk of their past, revealing he had always been watching. But Leif's reaction was one of anger, and he helped to drive the then-young demon off. He became a target. The Chimera was certain he saw a spark of potential there. He would drive Leif further and further into corners, injuring him, taking from him. All with the goal of one day twisting him down a more vile path. A darker existence. Had he miscalculated? To finally enact his plan, only to have Leif so filled with hate he would accept a foul end to his life rather than continue it as something new? An act chosen purely to spit upon the Chimera's effort, as far as he was concerned. This was a new kind of defeat. An unpleasant one.

  7. I don't mind food spoiling. Thats chill. My preferred outcome is actually that every single player gets access to /god, and it gets disabled when statusing for pvp. It does not hurt the roleplay aspect of this roleplay server and turns food into only a pvp item. But like, Im also just chill with this as is. Food spoiling is aight. Edit: Additionally, like many of these plugins, CA races seem not considered! Such as the size plugin, I had mentioned then the possibility of CA's having orc-size limitation(but currently all CA's are stuck at human size unless made from an orc sheet). Or in this food plugin, some CA's that either can eat raw food, or dont have to eat at all but still do for mechanical bonuses, should be able to just eat expired food to compensate. I wouldn't argue generally for an actual boon like this to apply to CA's, but CA's cant exactly just go and do farm roleplay a lot of the time!

      𝕾𝖙𝖆𝖗𝖌𝖚𝖘𝖍

The reasoning for removing any plugin is often the same. Devs struggle to create balance, and a common complaint is the lack of RP, with the focus being on mechanics and grinding. This mirrors the issues faced with the other plugins like magic. A questing system could have improved the RP aspect of Nexus, but many seem to prioritize the chat function, which has already been the central focus since the game's inception anyway. Unfortunately real improvements to the game's fabric are scarce, with most updates being temporary but entertaining accessories that are removed after a map or two. (I.E, Astronomy Hookah)

  10. Most of this feels not really necessary, but also not damaging to add. You speak of some fabled loophole of forcing inferi to allow themselves to be PK'd, but you are the only person I've heard ever mention this. And if someone tried this with my inferi, I'd point out the current redline and state that me 'allowing' it is the same as killing myself, and simply refuse. With that stated, I don't think this loophole you mention exists. Overall a lot of the changes here don't hurt but like... Seem weird to nitpick. But then you have that line about Zar'akal creation, which has nothing to do with the stated claim of the post even remotely. And feels even weirder that its you who's trying to sneak that in - as you are one of the, if not the, newest zar'akal, and you ascended with at least 2/3 of your ritualists being Zar'ei. That seems like another needless limitation on Zar'ei, and removes their ability to offer their assistance in this ritual as a trade to other naztherak. Justify it. As it stands the vibe I pick up is a bunch of changes that are "technically ok" and shouldnt really be denied for much even if they are not wholly needed, as perhaps an excuse to try and get that overlooked and plugged in.
  11. I was tempted to mark it as non-combative because it really does not vibe as something aggressive, and was worried the 'combative' tag would make people narrow their eyes at it in an inherently non-violent set of abilities, but I couldnt justify that given it only exists when conflict occurs. I did do my best to honor the intention of the conduits with it while still acheiving my vision. I was originally taught by a combination of both Booklight12 and Gladuos, so I'd be damned if I tried anything to twist their lore into something it was never meant to be!

Sometimes on purpose and sometimes on accident, such as seen in the cases of baseless religions initiating their followers within rituals that derive them of their senses and leave them with visions of some unspoken horror beyond understanding, solidifying faith. Or those laying on the brink of death awaiting medicine, swearing to bear witness to an angel of the creator, cast down to soothe them in their most vulnerable moments. Whatever the case, many people first undergo the Conduits of Enlightenment unknowingly in the form of unexplained visions during moments of great development. This does not mean, however, that they are wholly, or even partially, aware of what these are. Taking these visions at face value and little more. Few are those that pursue a greater understanding and see the visions as something deeper, and in their search they grow to better understand their sense of self, and reach enlightenment in their own mind. It is these few who become known to the world as a Conduit, and master their own mind. The soul and mind are two vastly powerful things on their own, able to achieve a great deal more than often they are given credit for, and even then, they are given credit for quite a lot. Scholars and wizards think about the soul, and wonder how best to fuel their great schematics and plans. Weapons of war. A resource alone, is how a soul might often be reduced to by many viewpoints, and a mind merely the tool for tuning it. This leads to a great overlooking of the finer tuned abilities of the mind and soul, especially when working in tandem with one another. Things that can tell a story or give a lesson, share a cherished memory or convey an idea, rather than merely killing one another. Those who have learned to attune to their own mind and express the nuances of their own thoughts are known as Conduits, masters of the Conduits of Enlightenment. Through these, a Conduit causes not suffering, but tells a story. ⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅•⋅⊰∙∘☽༓☾∘∙⊱⋅•⋅ [Abilities] There are only three abilities within the Conduits of Enlightenment. It is important to note that this is an open-knowledge piece of World Lore, in which anyone who takes the time to read this page has access to it, provided they go through the roleplay of its discovery. It requires no [FA], [MA], or [CA] to practice, and no [TA] to teach, but it strictly may never be used maliciously to anyone, under any circumstances. Tethering - [Non-Combative] Tethering is the act in which someone first undergoes the Conduits of Enlightenment, before they have learned to control their mind and develop their own Mindscape. This can happen naturally, through those who meditate often. Or, a Conduit who has mastered the Conduits of Enlightenment may artificially manifest this upon a willing student, requiring a hand upon both their heart and head to bring about. In either case, it is through a temporary connection of the mind and soul that the Conduits of Enlightenment begin. The result of Tethering is often considered a scary thing to those who undergo it. But scary does not mean dangerous, as no threat is ever posed to the Conduit. When tethered, the would-be conduit undergoes a freeform set of visions related to their character, generally designed to aid them in self reflection and better understanding themselves. Only after “conquering” this vision does a character become a Conduit. For some this happens in one roleplay, either self-rp’d or controlled narratively by the “Teacher”. For others this takes weeks of trial and error, as some people struggle to accept themselves or their past. Rᴇᴅʟɪɴᴇꜱ: Mindscape Travel - [Non-Combative] Through a state of enhanced meditation, the Conduit may enter a representation of their mental state within their mind. This is often, but not always, known to manifest as the place that the Conduit is most comfortable with in the real world. A particularly troubled Conduit may have the opposite occur, wherein what manifests is the place where most of their troubles are rooted within. This space is not a perfect copy however, and like a dream it frays upon the edges, the mind filling in gaps where a hole might be found otherwise. After being made, a Conduit may then control and manipulate their Mindscape as though a lucid dream, showing what they please to their passengers, or simply allowing them a greater freedom to explore their own mind. Rᴇᴅʟɪɴᴇꜱ: Passing Thoughts - [Combative] There are times in which words cannot bring about peace, where the inevitability of conflict brings two Conduits to clash upon a field of battle. These situations are beyond rare, given the already rare existence of Conduits in the first place, but therein lay the potential for the extraordinary to occur. Should these two Conduits fight with closed hearts and steeled minds, or even just one of them, nothing will occur. A fight as normal, with no outward effects. However, should reason and the hope for resolution exist within both, then through the trading of blows, their blades might speak for them. With souls resonating with a similar wish, their minds may touch upon one another with each clash of a blade. Flashes of thought from one to another. This is not true communication, but an extending of ideas and desire. Flashes of memories. An example among two knights, both graying in their hair and wishing not to slay one another, one might receive flashes of the other’s memory, a vision of the child their foe has at home, smiling and wishing them a safe journey. In return, the other might receive a flash of a bride they never met, asking and begging them not to leave home, and to put aside their blade and remain. The end outcome of this is not one set in stone. This ability cannot, at the end of the day, affect one’s actual combat ability. It may portray among the two Conduits a desire to put aside their weapons, or even build camaraderie within them even as they slay one another. One is not forced to give up on their ideals in order to accomplish this - they must merely hope that the other side might come to reason, and thus no longer be deemed a foe. 13. @Daisyare you able to increase the /size caps for CA's? Or could we have a mod adjust it for us? Golems should be able to go to 1.5-1.75 My Zar'ei sits at 8 feet tall, similar to orc height, and some sit at 9 feet tall But overall I love it :) Good job queen

  19. The Chimera paced his home. Lurking like a shadow in his own halls, vision clouded by hatred and malice. A simple outing it was meant to be, ruined by one person's refusal to obey. Moreover, this was failure in a mission - Something unexpected, something that had never happened before. And he could not stand it. Those who knew of his home would find it in ruins, the walls marred with deep cuts, candles squashed upon the floor. Blood spilled in the main halls, ritual after ritual after ritual of failure, like a man driven mad for success. They - the one to fail him so deeply - would become more obedient. Better behaved, he decided. He would break them and grind their bones into a shape more befitting them as punishment. Perhaps a donkey. But first, a message would have to be sent to those humans whom he loved so dearly. The Chimera gets to work. Those of Alba should expect a gift, soon enough.
  20. Holy cow yall got the worst Skyrim race mad with this one
  21. The Chimera crawls back into his hole. Injured and limping, he would rest and recover from his wounds. He was lucky this time; He had survived. He had taken his time to understand them. To listen to them from the pits beneath their very feet. It began out of curiosity, an order out of hand by his chainkeeper to keep him busy. He obeyed, and observed. But curiosity festered, for what he saw was of his own past, of memories locked away behind the veil of bestial fury. And each time he was reminded of it, to them he would find his comfort. Watching, yearning for what he had lost. For years, he would watch their youth grow. Aurelia and Lenora, from the youthful ages of sixteen to their current, he saw them talk and play, their joy and stress. Helena, the brave. He did not expect her to be overcome with emotion, and though he could not feel true sorrow, he felt sick at striking her down - Like putting down a rabid pet one had raised. Leif, the warrior, he knew the least about. But it was this wild card that brought him surprise, as he fought him in the halls. At first an easy foe to beat, but as desperation grew, Leif's determination did not fade, and what became an easy task to dispatch a mortal became increasingly difficult, until he was forced to flee. And so, The Chimera found a new target to break. A new goal. They would not escape his love so easily.
  22. Adonael finishes reading the report, and sticks it on his fridge with a gold star sticker for Irulan.
  23. Right now, Lefkos' son! Just a wizard who's still pure and learning about the world, and spends all day every day helping people. And not the self serving "helping/saving people!" crap - like physically rolling up his sleeves and doing errands for people, from crafting to digging things up and anything he's asked Recruit me He was a necromancer when he died! But alas, he died in the Abyss. Convince mordring to pull some strings(I highly doubt thats plausible) and I'd be down to clown even if its for the duration of an event or smthn As a Lich, I was a 14-15 year old child. At the time the huge power fantasy of finally being able to stand toe to toe with Tahmas in a roleplay fight. In hindsight as an adult nigh ten years later, I was probably HAPPIEST when he self-buried himself in an ancient library, existing only as a talking corpse that taught people magic. As a Paladin, Northgate was pretty rad. Just having a castle-town where we marched out of to murder undead was pretty cool. As a Wizard after, I loved a lot of my mountain-top teacher roleplay in the dwarves. Bonus answer, as a Necromancer I loved [redacted] because I died within 3 weeks I think my absolute favorite lotc memory was when an ST member asked our group of 6 "do any of you have any illnesses" because their character could tell those things, and Booklight12, Mr Beranabus Seregon, instantly clapped back microseconds later with "Beranabus has aids" before most could event finish processing the initial question. It sort of embodied the **** around and have fun attitude at the time. Most EPIC moment that I was around for would have been the Johannesburg explosion, and witnessing the fundamental changes that happened to the server from it. My PERSONAL most epic experience from my perspective of myself was the roleplay in which the return to Athera was planned and we laid out the groundwork for slaying Gudour, planning how we would get there etc. I hear that it led to a lot of things to do with the pantheon changes following, though I don't know the actual know-how of how that would be, but I think it's pretty neat. Means something my character did actually left an impact somewhere. Fun stories that I ran? My shade, he was a murderer. An unforgivable sinner with an agenda that he stuck to. He had rules on who he killed, and why he would kill them, and stuck to it. The thing that makes evil characters truly diabolical? Charismatic, with the capacity to betray. He would befriend his targets, then trick them into being alone. He, and his gang of 3 others, would get the jump on them. But not in a toxic "hah gotchu" way - The buildup was slow, the target was made absolutely clear in-character of how their own actions led to their death, and how their death would better the world. This led to a few notable PK's, specifically from people I truly did not expect to PK for any reason ever. Mystery, The_Tri, and like one other dude I cant recall off the top of my head. It was made very enjoyable by the fact that we had a gang of 4 in total, tight nit close friends who roleplayed together constantly. Dedication to the grind all around.
