  1. DUNGRIMM ~ ᛞᚢᚾᚷᚱᛁᛗᛗ~ “His forging near-complete, YEMEKAR took a smooth stone from his workbench, and with his tongs deposited it deep in the fires of the Soul Forge. It burned bright and hot in the Soul Forge for a millennium, until he took it out. It was so burning hot that it was pale and glowed faintly. He took the stone and placed it on his workbench, carving a rune into it, naming it. It became Khaz’a’dentrumm, and it would serve as the home of the gods that had been made, as well as the resting place of his children once they were done crafting on the world he made them. Thus became death, and its patron DUNGRIMM, Lord of the Dead. He would guide those children of YEMEKAR who perished to the next life in Khaz’a’dentrumm, and give his blessing to those who would risk death for the sake of honor.” DUNGRIMM is the god of death, patron of honor, battle, valor, bravery, defense, and the moon. DUNGRIMM guides the souls of those who have left the world behind to Khaz’a’dentrumm to be bid upon by all the Brathmordakin. Most that worship DUNGRIMM are warriors or soldiers, they pray to DUNGRIMM for honor, valor, or that he not guide their souls to Khaz’A’Dentrumm just yet. Teachings of the Mask The Teachings of the Mask are a collection of guidelines that teach one how to honor the principles of DUNGRIMM, and act accordingly with all things relating to his domain; death. Kavir Kavir is the teaching of Death. For all things that rise, they must fall. Such is the nature of death, it is not a thing of evil or corruption but another theme of Yemekar’s Design. Let death be dignified, be it your own or others. Show reverence and respect to the fallen, to those who shall depart from Yemekar’s Creation. Let not harm or corruption come to places of death, be it undeath or the desecration of tombs, such is among the greatest atrocities to Khaz’A’Dentrumm. Let you learn from the wisdom of those passed, let their mistakes be your lessons, their prosperity your beacon, and thus honor your ancestors. Khorrokunn Khorrokunn is the teaching of Justice. Death itself is the final justice that comes to all, for when our souls pass the mortal plane of Yemekar’s Creation and into Khaz’A’Dentrumm, no deception may hide from DUNGRIMM, your honor. Ensure that wrongs done are not left unpaid, let not the dishonors done to you and your kindred are made right. Fulfill the design Yemekar has made as you, and be the arbiter of His justice. However, abuse the teachings of the Brathmordakin and call the sacred symbol of justice to satisfy atrocious ambition, and doom yourself its greatest enemy. Anaraan Anaraan, the teaching of duty. Death is not a grand punishment for the honored soul, but rather the opportunity of sacrifice, an obligation to offer one’s life to danger for Khaz’A’Dentrumm. Let yourself march through death and life for your kin and kingdom, let not fear and corruption stray you from your divine design shaped by YEMEKAR. May your duty towards the Brathmordakin end only in joining them by death, and your place among the halls of Khaz’A’Dentrumm is certain. Paragons and Heroes of DUNGRIMM Paragon Bogrin Grandaxe Progenitor of Elder Clan Grandaxe, this son of Urguan established a legendary line of dwarves with a foundation of duty and service before the Hearth and Mask as its culture. Legends speak of Paragon Bogrin Grandaxe as the first dwarf to fight with an axe and was known for his skillful strikes on the battlefield. The first axe master, a noble champion of honor and duty among dwarves, gained the title Paragon of DUNGRIMM. Paragon Urir Ireheart Scourge of Undeath, Paragon Urir Ireheart marched into the corrupted realm alongside two other dwarves to vanquish the forces of Khorvad with one decisive final strike. At the end of his journey, Urir had found the infamous Axe of Krug, the last thing binding the undead to Yemekar’s Creation. With a final sacrifice, Urir with the corrupted axe in hand cast himself into the infernal pools of lava, destroying the Axe of Krug and devastating the machinations of Khorvad in his sacrifice, earning him the rank of Paragon of DUNGRIMM. Paragon Kjellos The infamous Paragon Emperor Dragon-Slayer Kjellos is one of the most revered ancestors of Khaz’A’Dentrumm, especially amongst Elder Clan Ireheart which worships him with devotion as god of justice. In life he was Kjell Ireheart, his first legendary feat being among the three courageous dwarves who marched into the corrupted realm of Khorvad to vanquish all undeath. Presumed dead with the others, the dwarves were shocked when he returned to their kind on the back of a dragon which he slew after landing. Kjell would go on to slaughter six dragons total, a godly feat in itself, and as well led Urguan as Grand King and then Emperor after successful conquest against the orcs and Alras. In his death, the dwarves witnessed Kjell Ireheart ascend into godhood as DUNGRIMM’s apprentice, and became the Paragon Kjellos, arbiter of divine justice. Paragon Igor Ireheart The terrible Butcher of Kralta, Paragon Igor Ireheart was an astute commander and fearsome warrior, beginning his legacy as a powerful Grand Marshal in the reign of the Conqueror, Grand King Thorin Grandaxe, during which he put down many rebellions and helped lead the Great Conquest. When the terror of the North, Ondnarch returned to stew fear amongst the dwarves, it was at Igor’s lead that the fallen Aengul was fought back and by his hand, the legendary Hammer of Barradin was used to duel Ondnarch. In its awesome power, Igor died wielding Odnarch’s Bane, in sacrifice releasing the servant of DUNGRIMM, the Aengul Wyrvun from its corrupted form. For this exceptional example of sacrifice and unparalleled martial prowess, Igor Ireheart was named Paragon of DUNGRIMM. Paragon Rhewen Frostbeard Paragon Rhewen ‘Papa Bear’ Frostbeard was a formidable yet warmhearted dwarf, being both the founding emperor of Vandurguan and father of countless Frostbeard Clan traditions and lines. Renown for his great feats of conquest, he saw the dwarves through the terrible Eighteen Years War started by his predecessor, bringing a stalemate out of an imminent defeat to the Empire of Oren, then later forged the second dwarven empire through the vassalization of Vandoria and Khalestine. He reigned as Lord of the Frostbeards for many decades and is credited as the source of numerous traditions of the clan, and many times throughout its history had he stepped in to bring it to honor and glory. Chief among his achievements, however, was the mandate of Khaz’A’Dentrumm by which through divine runic magic the dwarves witnessed Rhewen be crowned and blessed by an ancient king with the true crown of Urguan Silverbeard. Into his retirement Rhewen still served, reforming his clan a final time and dying in the depths of Luciensburg whilst fighting Ratiki forces endangering his kin and allies. For his legendary feats of valor and sacrifice, Rhewen Frostbeard has been recognized as a Paragon of Dungrimm. Hero Bazian Grandaxe Hero Bazian Grandaxe was a great unifying figure among the dwarves, within the kingdom, and within his clan. It was at Bazian’s call that the Braveaxes and Blackaxes united into their progenitor Elder Clan Grandaxe, and he personally assisted his brother Valen Grandaxe and then Grand King Thorik Grandaxe in creating the Articles of Urguan. Throughout his career, he was a primary leading figure of the dwarves holding many esteemed positions such as Lord, High Remembrancer, and many more, contributing to several aspects of Urguani society. For his dedicated duty to his people throughout peace and war, he was named Hero of DUNGRIMM. Hero Dreek Ireheart A major figure in the clan Ireheart during its time of blooming, he is one of the four founders of the ireheart bloodlines. He was slain by the aengul Ondnarch while defending Kal’Azgoth. Whilst he was alive he was known to be able to decapitate uruks in battle with a single swipe of his weapon. Whilst the Irehearts spent their time in Kal’Azgoth, Dreek Ireheart purchased both of the clan’s Clan Halls as well as maintained their commerce. During his life, he was Lord twice and the Grand Marshal once, as well as Clan Father for a brief time. For his exceptional leadership and bravery for the sake of the dwarves, he is recognized as a Hero of DUNGRIMM. Hero Barradin Silverbeard The second dwarven king of all time, Hero Barradin is from an ancient era of Urguani history and were it not for his leadership and tactics during the Eternal Cold, the wrath of the corrupt Aengul Ondnarch, then the dwarves likely would have been completely wiped from history. Wielding runic weaponry forged by the Triumvirate of Runelords, notably the hammer Ondnarch’s Bane, Barradin was able to defeat Ondnarch and seal the enemy into the Kal’Varak. For his courage leading the kingdom through such terrible times and in combat against that most terrible foe, Barradin was declared Hero of DUNGRIMM. Hero Vorstag Ireheart Hero Vorstag Ireheart was an esteemed leader within the dwarves, leading two reigns as Grand King, although both were somewhat controversial. Vorstag commanded the reclamation of Kal’Agnar as Grand Marshal, and in its tombs wielding the legendary Warhammer “Liberation” defeated the corrupted form of Urir Ireheart and reclaimed the Armor of Urguan for the dwarves. For his bravery as a commander and in his combat with DUNGRIMM’s Bane for the good of the Brathmordakin, he was named Hero of DUNGRIMM. DA KIRKJA DVERGA ~ ᛞᚨ ᚴᛁᚱᚴᛃᚨ ᛞᚡᛖᚱᚷᚨ ~ Da Kirkja Dverga thanks Dakkon Grimgold for his remarkable achievement in helping in writing these teachings.
  2. wow, I really appreciate the effort the Economy Team™ is putting into 8.0™! good job

  4. The High Prophet Norli Starbreaker reads the extensive history, and offers a pained smile as he finishes. He takes out a paper, and begins to scribe a response: When I fought in that harrowing battle at New Jornheim Fields in my youth, in the aftermath when the ground ran red like a river of my kindred’s blood, I was mortified at what had come of dwarfdom. I ran from it, I hid. I swore off all trust in da khazadmar, and believed our race damned by the Brathmordakin after we had forsaken the teachings of Khaz’A’Dentrumm. In my nightmares did I hear songs of Belka herself, singing me the horrors I had witnessed. I became stoic en my disdain of my kindred. I was a coward. While I retreated to the caverns of Axios, Atlas, Arcas, there were those who tirelessly fought for the salvation of dwarfdom, they who by sweat and blood, by immense sacrifice to safety and prosperity would forge from the remnants of the fathers a new nation, conceived in the ideals of the Brathmordakin. While I wrote songs of doom and pessimism, they wrote anthems and ballads of glory. While I wished for the final extinction of my kin so that Yemekar’s Design would be rid of our filth, they made us again honored. I have nothing but immense respect for these khazadmar, these heroes of all dwarfdom who built the foundation on which I stand today. It was at the naming of a new Paragon, at Bjor Cottonwood’s death, by which my songs once again ran with optimism and hope, and that I shall never forget. Hallowed was the Confederation Hallowed be that which was built upon it Hallowed be the Grand Kingdom of Urguan. The High Prophet signs the letter and sends it to be nailed to the notice board. “It’s time we all understood what they did for us,” he mumbles as a tear rolls down his cheek.
  5. I think the only real problem is when a character may be homophobic, racist, or what have you but the player refuses that the character has flaws. Norli, my main character, is exceptionally bigoted. He wrote into the very canon of a religion the inferiority of other races, their imperfection in design. He is imperfect, however, and I recognize that. So long as everyone recognizes their characters are flawed, I think it’s fine. Now the other side of this coin, people complaining about homophobia in RP and asking if it’s justified: People’s character are just that, and remember it. They’re not meant to be perfect, and we are MEANT to instill flaws in our characters not just so they are more interesting but purposely instilling flaws to their design that we easily recognize that they are CHARACTERS, not extensions of our desires solely of a player. If that is impossible for someone to grasp, maybe they should google what Roleplay is. My most fun characters and the ones where I know I am not falling into the trap of combining OOC and RP are those with the most outlandish flaws, those with the most outlandish moral deficiencies. I implore anyone who may feel that morally flawed characters should be disallowed should try playing someone who is flagrantly bigoted and with no ambitions, only there to cause RP, you’ll realize that surprisingly it’s a very pure form of Roleplay as it’s quite impossible to want to be defensive over them.
  6. If you kept in close contact with other friends who were from back then and still play, I’d suggest rejoining that community as you get to revel in the nostalgia of it with your comrades. If not, however, I’d suggest you join a community you never tried before, have some fun. Dwarves are poppin’ these days 🙂
  7. Yamakura (Settlement) Freeport (Settlement) Va'teyatl (Lair) Would the leaders of such like to tell us about these, they sound interesting!
  8. Always felt Xanic didn’t have enough competition, that it was a shame that the word paladin was synonymous with a specific magic group as opposed to what really should be an entire brand of magics. Nice idea overall, I’m a fan. Moar holy knights. One gripe I have is the tenants and such: I recall it being a consistent problem that I’ve seen said multiple times for multiple different deific magics is that tenants are not meant to be written and enforced by the laws of the magic itself but instead orchestrated IRP. Why shouldn’t this also follow that guideline? Having it imbued into the lore would place too much power into whatever sect of this magic is endorsed by the lore writer and any friends of theirs on the story team, or that’s the reasoning I’ve consistently seen before, I feel it should continue. Not super 100% on that gripe tho and I’d like to see what you may think and your reasoning is, Chase. Otherwise, and really overall, I really like this. +1
  9. I’m gonna say I don’t 100% agree with mick here, I find it a bit over the top to idealize bandits as people who are creating roleplay out of the good of their hearts. They do it because it’s fun. Simple. Problem is, this fun is inherently always contentious and going to start problems, so you gotta strike a balance in how rules work with banditry. If you want my personal take on it, losing in banditry isn’t even the problem really. The thing I dislike about road banditry is there are never any consequences to it. They almost always kill the person they just beat, and if you make an effort to hunt them down the most you can do is just kill them. At least with new robbery rules I suppose there’s a chance you could find a bandit hideout and take **** back, but then all the minas are gone too. The bandit just transfers it to their other persona or even more boldly just renames the persona and starts playing it as a different character. Just make rules that force there to be a possibilty of further RP from it. That consequences are not impossible to avoid. Stop saying bandits are saints, stop saying they’re demons. EDIT: Whoever tf pointed out grammatical errors as sign of bad rp, your a silly man EDIT 2: To be clear, my personal experience hasn’t been very much since Atlas as that was when I traveled roads a lot more. And also, I mean this less of an absolute that there are NEVER any consequences, some bois do the banditing well. But others do it poorly, and if any rules are to be put in place I think they should limit the inherent problems of banditry not just making it less frequent.

  13. RESPONSE OF THE HIGH PROPHET Let it be made abundantly clear the stance of da Kirkja Dverga regarding the issue of titles and vocabulary; the title of High Prophet is that of a traditional variety. I do not and never shall claim to know the direct will of the Brathmordakin, no singular dwed has held such authority since the ancient realms. The titles of High Prophet and Prophet are only to allude to the original structure of da Kirkja Dverga, a symbolic gesture in response to the prosperity and growth we have seen in da Kirkja Dverga as of late. I do find it ironic, however, that the High Chief who completely independently declared himself a Seer, a previously unused title, and created a religious order with no traditional backing would find it so contentious that an ancient organization would in times of prosperity return to a traditional title to herald its success. Legally speaking, I would hope that Karl does not enforce the ruling that the Folk of Hefrumm do not recognize the title, as such would do nothing but limit the freedom of our own folk. And, regarding the first quote that Karl so abruptly cuts off in his address, allow me to give readers a full context since he seems to not want to: “From my desk do I relate to the sons and daughters of Urguan the decisions reached, and what is the will of the seven sacred hosts of Khaz’A’Dentrumm as interpreted by da Kirkja Dverga, as well as a religious view on recent events.” May I reiterate, the decisions listed in the letter are interpretation, not a vision which we were bestowed with and decisions directly held in communion with the Brathmordakin. Vocabulary such as “direct communion” and “blessed chosen ones [of Anbella]” instead belong in letters from the Seers. Narvak oz Brathmordakin. DA KIRKJA DVERGA ~ ᛞᚨ ᚴᛁᚱᚴᛃᚨ ᛞᚡᛖᚱᚷᚨ ~

      monkeypoacher

agree with shitting on the ST for shelving ppl’s player races and rewriting history, don't agree with shitting on them for trying to do an eventline ::(

just chill out and go with the flow, you literally cannot lose this conflict. just let the story play out

  20. ah **** here we go again. I’m gonna say that Urguan is immaculate of any guilt whatsoever as to why this happened, I mean from what I heard Joel says that our fleet was in the waters of aeg. There’s definitely a level of miscommunication here, idk who exactly that’s on. There’s definitely a certain animosity between staff and players at this point, I think rooted in miscommunication, overly convoluted and complex systems just to participate, as well as the staff being a bit out of touch with how players feel, although I suppose that’s just another form of miscommunication. Yelling at staff and screaming bloody murder at people volunteering trying to make server more fun is no way to resolve issues, however certainly neither is mocking players who show discontent. Dingo, man, i get you put a LOT of effort into this eventline and such, and I know all the problems, hell even most of the problems are not your fault. But please, do NOT be surprised that when ST mock playerbases that those playerbases will get frustrated with ST. And my fellow players, my fellow minemen, remember that this is minecraft, people are trying to make a story here. Even if in your eyes an event is ****, at least understand people are trying their best and don’t have that much true animosity against any playerbase. and @Gamma a dude walking around not paying attention is not playing a protag. He had it on him as he was told by staff that the safest place to keep a relic was on a soulbound, not an ender chest. If anything fault him for the 30 min argument following the event, but can’t mock a dude for just tryna keep a relic safe.
  21. I’m notably not one with an extreme layer of knowledge on how alloys and stuff work, but I really like this! +1, good job BD
  22. ARMAKAK ~ ᚨᚱᛗᚨᚴᚨᚴ ~ “YEMEKAR reached into the soul-forge with his tongs and took out a large ember. He set it in the sky above his creation, and it burned brilliantly and brightly until it was golden. It was similar to the other stars in the sky as it had great value, but unlike the others, it was meant to be exchanged, not hoarded or used in crafts. It was the first coin, and by its beaming light YEMEKAR’s children would be able to exchange their crafts and skills, and its rays became trade and bartering. And became ARMAKAK, the Merchant Father. He would guide the mouths of the tradesmen so a favorable deal is made and prosperity reaches all.” ARMAKAK is the god of trade, of bartering and of smooth tongued dwarves. The patron of wealth, luck and opportunities. He looks over the merchants, travellers and entrepreneurs, encouraging them to acquire wealth through cleverness and hard work. The Merchant Father will shower with gold those who seek the best bargain and respect their fellow merchants, striking deals that are fair for both parties. Teachings of the Coin A collection of moral principles based in veneration of ARMAKAK’s Coin, these teachings serve as a guide on how to honor the God of Trade. Unnek Unnek is the teaching of fair trade, of even exchange. When you conduct trade in the name of ARMAKAK, let it not be done selfishly and corrupt, let it instead be fair and bring great things to both parties as they are due. Do not let yourself be abused by contracts nor abuse them in your favor. Be equal in your deals and many more are to come, and the pockets of both parties will be sure to fill. Otharem Otharem is the teaching of exploration, of travel, journeying under the light of ARMAKAK’s sun to far places and new markets. Do not limit yourself to a closed market, but venture outwards, doing exchange with currency of both wealth and culture. The further you go, the more your goods shall be renowned throughout YEMEKAR’s creation. ARMAKAKencourages his followers to expand their merchant endeavors as much as they can. Nolvar Nolvar is the teaching of industry, the wider network of trade and business that leads to prosperity. The children of YEMEKAR have always been an industrious folk, and the root of industry is an elaborate economy with a foundation of well connected infrastructure. The more you partake in trade, the more prosperity extends to all those involved. A soul with an ornate network of trade and contracts will bring extravagant wealth to not only himself but all he works with. Paragons and Heroes of ARMAKAK Paragon Tungdil Goldhand Paragon Tungdil Goldhand is synomnyous with worship of ARMAKAK, also given title of Merchant Father. When he had made trade with a customer, and would shake hands to make an oath of their transaction, it was a guarantee that wealth and prosperity would find all parties involved. Thus he became known Tungdil Goldhand, ARMAKAK’s favored. Hero Kalgrimmor Hero Kalgrimmor has throughout his life dedicated himself to his craft and kingdom, using his skills to amass a fortune rivaling the deep coffers of entire nations. With blessed generosity, he extended such prosperity and wealth to his kinsmen, and along with centuries of inspired loyalty and service to Urguan, has earned himself the recognition of such who is gifted by the BRATHMORDAKIN and declared Hero of ARMAKAK. Hero Thoak Goldhand Hero Thoak Goldhand is one of the oldest ancestors of the Goldhand Clan, potentially the most active figure in their history. Many times Thoak led the struggling clan to prosperity and honoring ARMAKAK. The same he had done for Kaz’Ulrah, creating the clergy of ar Yemarin Anaros to ensure a strong faith in an era of divided dwarves. The last leader of the nation, Thoak dedicated himself to bringing peace and prosperity among all dwarves in a time of struggle, dying with the fall of Kal’Tarak.
