  1. I’m guessing that work has just begun (or is about to begin) on the next map since we have a Your View about it now. Next map’s CT should be small yet jam-packed with important information and some resources for new players. It should function as an RP hub to a lesser extent (so that new players aren’t greeted with emptiness when they first join), and the CT should have Monk characters who eat, work, and sleep within the CT. Remember how the Atlas CT had a map of Atlas listing off all of the nations and names of forests/mountain ranges? That should be done again in order to reduce new player’s dependency on the dynmap and make map information be more IC than OOC. There should be a farm for new players to get some food and a small tree farm for new players to get some wood. The rest of the CT exists for Monks to live in/interact with new players with. Then, there should be some fast travels leading to racial hubs that let new players start their LOTC experience in the general area their race inhabits. Having the CT in the clouds would be really cool and help explain why conflict isn’t allowed there and why any travel out of the CT is one-way. Furthermore, a literal Cloud Temple wouldn’t take up any ground space that could be used by other races to build settlements. If the CT doesn’t use up ground space and respawning players immediately fast travel to racial spoke points instead traveling out from the CT, Freebuild could be put in a much more centralized location without denying any one nation or race land or giving Freebuild an unfair advantage. The main problem with Freebuild in Arcas is that it’s too far away for many people to use it and too large for anyone living in Freebuild to interact with other Freebuild inhabitants. I think a more central yet smaller Freebuild area would be much more useful to the server. If the Freebuild area is directly underneath the CT whilst every Nation and Race lives around the central one-way Fast Travel hubs from the CT, Freebuild can be in the center of the map, still further away from CT than centralized Nations so that new players don’t build dirt huts and never log on again, and receive decent amounts of travelers going between Nations that makes for organic Freebuild settlement creation like with Belvitz.
  2. I don’t know you very well, but that’s my fault instead of yours. Ya get a solid 7/10. Not bad for someone who joined in 2018. you’d get an 8/10 if you admitted that anime is love, anime is life.
  3. I play pokemon go everyday

  4. The server isn’t a PvP server. It just happens to have some PvP on it because it’s faster and can work with massive groups of people fighting each other at once. Expect to RP more than you PvP unless you want to risk getting banned for poor villainy RP and initiating PvP without prior RP.
  5. Pervinca Driftwood prepares for her husband to yell at foolish bigguns ruining the Spicy Shrimp’s effectiveness for a second time. ”Knox ‘elp us all...”
  6. Pervinca Driftwood considers buying one of these for a moment, before deciding that water-breathing halflings would have to wear flippers to get around. Flippers are far too similar to shoes for Pervinca’s tastes.

  9. Real epic halfling PvPers re-name their swords to “Iron Shovel” so the proper pacifistic halflings can’t call them improper.
  10. Pervinca Driftwood is selling stone for .2 minas each at her market stall in Brandybrook!
  11. Some halflings are actually good at PvP. Our hours of shogging practice have ironed out our clicking abilities.
  12. Ascended are gonna get Thanos snapped whew

  13. If the server is 1.14 now, can we fit through 1.5 block gaps? If so, y’all know that the halfling village is gonna get 25% smaller lol.

      It’s already small enough.

  14. Maybe the thief could give you copies of the book. Making copies of books is really inexpensive ever since the CT price of ink sacs was lowered to 1 mina.
  15. My favorite dwarf was Bjor Cottonwood. That epic lad did a Gordon Ramsay impression as the halflings of Dunshire baked cakes.
  16. I’m not opposed to there being a staff-run library at the CT, it’s just that it shouldn’t be the Dragur and the information there should be General world lore instead of books written from the perspective that of specific players. I feel like the CT library of Atlas did this pretty well, for it only contained a map of Atlas and a place for books explaining each region of the map. Furthermore, if we want libraries on LOTC to be more epic and to be used more, we should encourage people to write more books. Books are much more interesting than wiki pages and frequently provide a more in-depth analysis of certain topics. The only downsides of books are their tendency to be outdated, yet they still are a great way for new players to gain information IRP. I propose that the community teams promote book writing in order to give new players IRP information as well as OOC information about the server. This combined with moving the Dragur outside of the CT should give new players a sense of pride and wonder when they finally find an epic library filled to the brim with information.

  18. If we’re gonna provide support for non-official calendar systems, we’d have to give the same support for other non-human non-official calendar systems as well.
  19. One of these days I’ll get around to having an event rotation of 3-4 different things I could potentially do every weekend. As of right now, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. The Drinking Nights are popular and serve their purpose.
  20. Everyone else still uses the non-canonist Calendar. If you feel oppressed because the staff make threads talking about the official server calendar system instead of the calendar system that one of LOTC’s communities made up, feel free to make a new thread talking about OOC dates and their relation to the Imperial calendar system or whatever. It’s not the staff’s job to enforce cultural developments. That is up to the players themselves.
  21. I am 3 inches tall. I have wings growing out of my back and shoot fairy dust everywhere yak My longest lived character was Madeline Applefoot. She was my main character for over a year before I anticlimactically killed her off in a bandit raid on Dunshire. BEES of course. Once LOTC moves to 1.15, y’all better believe that the halfling village is gonna be filled to the brim with those flying creatures. Yes. I will help you in your benevolent quest The only thing I miss about Nexus are the cannolis and alcoholic drinks. Video unrelated
  22. I think the Orcs are pretty cool. I’ve played an Orc a few times before. My next favorite would probably be the Hou-Zi. Those guys are cool.
  23. I’ve been on the server for 3 years as of today. I also hit 2,000 rep on this exact day. Ask me anything, I guess.
  24. The only thing I miss about Nexus are the Cannolis. My life lacks meaning now that I can no longer produce this virtual confectionery delight.
