Upon receiving the news from Agent Woods, Alexander immediately forwards the news to high command, with the following information:

- Agent successfully incorporated into standard ranks of Caliphate's armed forces
- Married off, almost as expected
- To be married to The Chief 

Once high command receives word of Madison's arrangement, they immediately forward orders for Madison next. Alexander recites them to her as she waits for transfer in the barracks.

She grumbles quietly at the orders but grudgingly gives the alright to Alexander before she stretches out, going to spend some extra time to disassemble the German rifle then reassemble it expertly checking all the parts and the two clicks of ammunition in her backpack before she slowly lays back with the gun hidden under her bed. Slowly she fell asleep on the bed sighing softly as she twists and turns on the bed to get comfortable before finally getting decently comfortable and soon falls asleep completely.

The Islamic Caliphate

 

 

The British attack is largely successful: although the Caliphate is superior in the air, that very strength made them not suspect a full-scale attack. The response is slow, and although many British planes are lost, they still complete their mission and generate an opening for their army to press forward. Saeed and his army are forced south toward Madrid, under pressure from Italians, British, and the Order of St. George. The situation seems grim, but then the news arrives. 

 

The British Parliament had ratified a treaty with the Caliph, under which Islamic forces would pull back south of the current lines in exchange for the Canary islands and a single older aircraft carrier. Upon its ratification, both sides recognize the other's claim to their occupied land.

 

 

The news is taken fairly well by the Caliphate's populace, who now know that they are one step closer to being able to rest. But for now, the only thing on the horizon was more death. War with Italy, and more importantly the Reclaimer Corporation. War with the Corporation's Greek puppets. Tension looming with both countries' allies.

 

It might take all of the Islamic State's strength and more, but these enemies would be bested, just as every threat to this point had been repelled. The Mediterranean fleets of the Islamic Navy are devastated and forced to port in the face of the newest Reclaimer weaponry, but their damage had been done: beachheads were secured across the sea, and supplies could simply be flown across to Sicily and Italy. Thus while the navy struggles to find a way to combat this new horror, the war continues unimpeded. With Italian forces focused on Iberia, the Islamic Army sweeps across the north of Sicily to Messina, where they begin to cross to join the force on the mainland, sending a significant force to mop up resistance at Syracuse as well. On the mainland,  Catanzaro and the toe of the Italian boot have already fallen, and the combined force charges north along the A3 highway towards Naples, widening their advance with the peninsula. It is not long before Australian mechs are encountered, but this time Caliphate forces had come prepared, with an almost equal number of Tandon drones armed with the necessary weaponry to fight them, new ground-based Qahhar weaponry, and a large amount of armor. REX mechs are a new sight on the battlefield, and are formidable when encountered, but they too are not invulnerable, and they face stacked odds.

 

The Islamic Air force has yet to deploy its massive reserve of aircraft in Africa, but the usual complement is assigned to this theater. Islamic command wants a quick, relatively bloodless war, so they neglect a large-scale campaign for the time being, instead performing surgical strikes on military targets ahead of advancing Islamic armies.

 

The same cannot be said for the campaign in Iberia. There the air raiding is brutal and relentless, destroying convoys, depots and roads in Italian territory. The farther inland the attackers push, the harder it becomes to maintain supply lines, and the slower they must move.

 

The Italian campaign takes an immediate turn for the worse as peace is signed with the British: much of the land they took from the Muslims is on the British side of the lines, making it useless for them unless they choose to contest their ally. Furthermore they alone now face a force of over a million Caliphate troops, who are quickly coalescing for a push back against the Italian lines under the leadership of general Saeed. With them are 700 Indian Tandon drones, brought here to counterbalance the Reclaimer Corporation's own drones serving in the attacking. Italian advances halt, but are not yet reversed as more and more Islamic troops pour to the eastern lines.

 

The possibly overly large force sent to Sardinia moves to secure the rest of the island, and upon success would await further orders.

 

Meanwhile in the east, the decision of Greece to break the ceasefire despite the Caliphate's generosity enraged many. But what was truly maddening was the brazenness of the attack. The last time the Greeks had fought Turkey, their victory had been due entirely to Reclaimer intervention. That they could attack now on their own and expect a victory was insanity. The main Greek force does indeed surround the city of Ankara, and the siege begins in earnest as the defenders of the area, numbering in the range of the 400,000's, are of comparable strength.

 

In the north and especially in the south, however, it is the Greeks who are outnumbered, and the campaign is less than successful. In the north a stalemate begins for the time being as Greek forces find themselves equally matched, while in the south an immediate Turkish counterattack of 200,000 troops strikes hard and pushes for Izmir. The Turkish air force is mostly deployed elsewhere, but there still remains enough air power in the region to give the Greek Air Force the fight of its life.

 

Meanwhile, as Ukraine is turned over to the Russians, most of the occupying force, instead of returning to Turkey, crosses the border into Romania. They continue to be supplied through Ukraine via one of the terms of the cession under which convoys are allowed to pass through the ceded land, and they inform the Romanian government that this would be only a temporary presence, and that as long as they did not resist violently no harm would befall their people and there would be no attempt to interfere with Romanian workings of government. ((I remind everyone that despite widespread distrust of kebab, the IS has not once gone back on its word. I honestly don't know how the Romanians would respond.)) Assuming that the Romanians allow them passage, a second front is opened in Bulgaria and Serbia, as 500,000 Caliphate soldiers spill into Greek land.

 

An emissary of the Caliph arrives in Rome, where he delivers terms of peace to the Italian government. Two options are presented:

 

Option I

-The Italian Empire will cede the island of Sicily to the Islamic Caliphate.

-The Italian Empire will cede all Spanish holdings including the Balearic Islands to the Islamic Caliphate.

-The Italian Empire will cede Sardinia to the Islamic Caliphate.

-The Islamic Caliphate will withdraw from the Italian mainland, but will maintain an enclave extending 20 miles inland from the city of Leuca.

-Neither the Islamic Caliphate nor the Empire of Italy will allow a foreign attack on the other power to pass through their borders.

-The nations of Italy and the Islamic Caliphate will agree to a truce of no less than ten years as long as the terms of this treaty remain intact.

Option II

-The Italian Empire will cede the island of Sicily to the Islamic Caliphate.

-The Islamic Caliphate will withdraw from Sardinia.

-The Islamic Caliphate will respect Italian claims to their holdings in Iberia and vice versa.

-The Italian Empire will cede all land on the Italian mainland south of and including Naples to the Islamic Caliphate.

-Neither the Islamic Caliphate nor the Empire of Italy will allow a foreign attack on the other power to pass through their borders.

-The nations of Italy and the Islamic Caliphate will agree to a truce of no less than ten years as long as the terms of this treaty remain intact.

 

To the Greeks, the demands of the Caliphate for peace are far simpler:

-The Hellenic Republic will return all former Turkish lands to the Islamic Caliphate.

-Neither the Islamic Caliphate nor the Hellenic Republic will allow a foreign attack on the other power to pass through their borders.

-The nations of the Hellenic Republic and the Islamic Caliphate will agree to a truce of no less than ten years as long as the terms of this treaty remain intact.

The Australasian Federation

 

The War in Italy

 

The REX Mechs were finally getting the stress testing in combat, exactly seven of the REX mechs had been irreparably destroyed by Caliphate Forces, however the remaining 193 are still holding, with the 400 Emu Mechs in support, the Indian Tandons although advanced First Generation Mechanized Walkers cannot stand up to combined Emu First Generation Mechanized Walkers and the REX Second Generation Mechanized Walkers, infantry and armour divisions cannot stand up against these advanced weapons. The REX Mechs are armed with a Rail Gun, two 30 mm rotary cannons, anti-tank missiles that launch from the back and the knees and a LION Laser weapon. The Armour of the REX is advanced with technology given by the Californian Dominion to make it extremely difficult to penetrate, although it is not impenetrable. Assisted with a targeting VI the REX has limited anti-air ability with the rail gun.

 

 

The Pilots of the REX all of which have received honorary Knighthoods and are given a nickname "The Knights of Saint Peter". They currently hold a formation keeping each other apart to enable clusterbombs not to hit multiple targets but close enough to give each other support. They develop a common nickname in the Caliphate as "Demon Kings" as REX in Latin means King thus they took the Latin and based the name from there. The EMU Mechs hop across the battlefield causing troop movements heavy disruption in hit and run attacks, these will be able to continue while the Islamic Forces in Italy lack proper air support. Despite the Caliphate now having familiarity with mechanized walkers their own armour divisions without the Tandon Mechs are years behind the Federations own, thus reminding the Caliph the power the Federation has behind it.

 

Both the Federation and India have good friendly relations but have different friends to each other and aren't afraid to send their forces to fight Proxy Wars to help their friends without any risk to themselves. A REX Ace begins to stand out, having many tank and infantry kills under his belt Colonel Rendon Howard, 1st Knight of Cairns he earns a reputation among Caliphate Troops as Australasia's Grim Reaper all the while likely inspiring Catholic fervor.

The Republic of India

Tandon looked at the reports of the new Tandon-2 drones, equipped with the new Indian AI and the Caliphate Laser, still a first generation drone and still behind its friend in Austrilia. A new project is started called Project Dread. This will be a second generation drone, piloted by specially trained pilots, that would begin training in simulators. ((16 pages))

With the this proxy war, Tandon is seriously impressed with the Austrillian REX and EMU drones. He request that his top military strategiest to study film and tape from the Tandon drones recording system. This is to help with counter tactics against these certain type of Drones.

The Italian Kingdom-Islamic Caliphate Treaty

 

X. The Empire of Italia will cede its lands of Sardinia and provinces of Iberia to the Caliphate

X. The southern tip of Leuca and the Western tip of Sicily will be ceded to the Caliphate

X. The Balkan States of Hungary and Slovenia are released from Italian control

X. A 10 year (30 page) non-agression pact is signed with the Caliphate and Empire of Italy

The Italian army quickly pulls out of Hungary and Slovenia as well as the aforementioned provinces.

 

The Phalanx and all Italian soldiers return to the homeland to be repaired, refueled, retrained, and rested. The Emperor sighs, declaring that there is no longer an Empire of Italy, instead it shall be known as the Kingdom of Italia.

 

The Kingdom of Italy quickly pulls its remaining navy into the ports. Reforms run through the state, a message is sent to Germany requesting technology help.

While the war rages on in the east internal affairs are managed by other ministers, along with matters on other borders. The nations recently released by Italy are approached with an offer to join their closest 'union of states' for extra security. The offer is not backed up with any force, but simply more of an extension of an offer. 

 

Meanwhile, the Relciamer Corp. is contacted once more with a request for the deployment of drones in Ankara to break the siege.

 

The Caliphate is extended the offer of peace following Italy, the reason Greece joined,'s retreat.

Order of Saint Amyas

 

 

With the war ending the troops are pulled back, reorganized, resupplied and retrained. Small recruitment bases are set up in Madrid, Paris, Bordeux, Rome, Endinburgh, Dublin, Munich and Atheans. Even though the wars are over the Order still spreads it's propaganda attempting to recruit more people. ((Mod Pls))

 

The Order now starts a new program, the "Obscura sacrum ordinem" which acts as the spying organization corp of the order. Which starts infiltrating caliphate lines to recover lost artifacts or other christian holy things. They send a few trained order men to find the arc of the covenant, which they suspect that is located below the destroyed temple of solomon or ethiopia, they split the squad of 40 into two seperate squads, one goes to Ethiopia and another to Jerusalem under disguise as any other muslim or ethiopian ((Mod pls)) .

 

They also set up the Equitatum Iesu et cordis suum immaculata, a missionary program that aims to bring Christianity and the Catholic church to areas with little catholic population, like India, Indochina, Indonesia, Myanmar China (through Hong Kong) and other countries. In Iberia the military branch of the order continues patrolling daily, now with steady supply they  set up daily watches waiting for the Muslim armies to pour out at any moment.

Under the cover of darkness, a team of 10 elite soldiers are dropped into central Russia. They wear no insignia, no flag, nothing to show where they had come from. Every inch of skin was securely covered in airtight combat suits, overlapped with combat fatigues and light body armor. They carried a large variety of weapons - from German MP5Ks to AK-12s, M4A4s to EMRs, although every last one was silenced.

 

After a two kilometer walk, they began to close in on the estate. With their target being one of the most wanted men in Europe, it was defended, yes, but surprisingly not that heavily. The guards - presumably employed loyalist infantry or private military mercenaries, were generally milling about by open fires or sleeping - it was 3am after all. They seemed moderately armed, only carrying Kalashnikov variants - almost a century old, but still deadly to any human being.

 

They set up positions around the estate after watching the troops movements for about forty five minutes. Only a few routine movements were made - a one man patrol around the tennis court, a switch of the men at the road entrance and a change in who looked out on the upstairs balcony. Several men were sleeping around the swimming pool.

 

 

When the one man patrol around the tennis court once again began his rotation, he was met with a blade sawing through his throat from behind. As his vision dimmed, he could vaguely make out the enormous blood trail he left whilst he was being dragged between two rows of apple trees in the vineyard. The next Russian guards to go were standing on guard at the gate, before simultaneously dropping to the floor - their heads spraying red mist everywhere before dark blood started pooling at their feet.

 

One of their comrades saw this, but his screams of alarm were replaced with gurgles. He began choking on his own blood after a 9mm bullet ripped through his neck, painting the yellow house behind him red. If he was alive long enough, he would have heard a loud thump upstairs as yet another soldier, who was watching out the bay window, collapsed, suffering the same fate. On the northern side of the estate, two of the guards - one of them pissing up a tree - found bits and pieces of their brains splattering on nearby trees, instantly dying.

 

Phase one was over, with the north, west and south sides of the estate neutralized, with no alarms or alerts set off. So far so good. Phase two began.

 

 

On the eastern side of the compound, sharp, accurate bursts of fire disturbed the air as guard after guard collapsed - their chests stained red, their heads cratered or their necks splitting, sending blood everywhere. Earlier reconnaissance the alarm was on the outside of the now-secured yellow house, so the fire team were given the go ahead to open fire. Stealth, for the most part, was no longer required. Once all of the awake guards were neutralized, two men from the task force walked around the small wooden gazebo where most were sleeping, executing the unaware men with a silenced Beretta 9mm. 

 

The estate was secured - now for the extraction.

 

A single green flare is fired up in the air, followed eventually by the quiet hum of a helicopter. Before it is landed, a man and his wife are brought outside the main building, blindfolded and gagged. Soon enough the target is ushered into the helicopter, followed by the ten servicemen. 

 

An hour goes by, the helicopter flying over a small village in mainland Russia. It jerks as it begins to hover, and the cargo bay ramp opens up. Rising to their feet, two of China's special forces throw Vladimir Putin's wife out of the helicopter, her screams drowned out by howling wind. The Chinese Changhe Z-8 lands 128 miles north of the border with China, where it meets up with a military convoy on 'routine' border patrol. The old Russian prime minister is transferred hands, whilst the special forces team begins on destroying the cargo helicopter.

The Withdrawal from Europe

 

The weapons testing in Europe had concluded, results yielded great promise and things look towards the Federation has the most advanced armour divisions in the world. But now was time for the withdrawal, the Iberian EMU Units pack up and begin to fly back to Federation territory, while in Italy the REX Mechs pack back onto cargo vessels and proceed to head back to Federation Territory, the EMU Units pack up in Italy and fly back to Federation Territory. With no war with the Caliphate there were no need for any concessions to be made.

The Islamic Caliphate: Diplomacy

 

Peace terms are reached with Greece, under which the aggressor surrenders all former Turkish territory back to the Caliphate, effectively reversing the results of the first Greco-Islamic war.

 

The treaty with Italy is signed by the Caliph, and Islamic forces withdraw from Italian land except to the areas surrendered.

 

Tensions with both countries remain relatively high,but as the truces are signed the fear of further conflict diminishes.

Brightsword Defense Incorporated and Subsidiaries

 

Brightsword's board soon realizes that in order to efficiently operate in the multitude of sectors it wishes to, it must subsidize itself to more efficiently manage resources. All Brightsword funds are held by the holding corporation, Brightsword Defense Incorporated. All subsidiaries are owned by a member of the holding corporation's board.

 

And so, the first few Brightsword subsidiaries split off from Brightsword itself.

 

Brightsword PMC Concern Ltd.

 

Brightsword PMC mercenaries remain operational within the Brazilian jungle. A progress report on the status of Brightsword operatives in the South American theater is ordered from the director of PMC Concern.

 

Brightsword Humanitarian Aid Ltd.

 

A newly-founded division, whose headquarters are immediately acquired in Barcelona, begins purchasing food from nearby farmers in the interest of "helping your fellow Spaniards" and are flown deep into Iberian territory, specifically villages that are starved or isolated as determined by drones sent to scout the field of battle.

 

Brightsword R&D Concern Ltd.

 

Simply a split-off of the PMC Concern to make managing research and development simpler, they hammer out a deal with the Californian Dominion to combine research efforts on key projects. Cloaking research is trucking along as a slowed rate, likely to be accelerated by the new associates of the R&D Concern. (12 pages rn but perhaps shorter?)

 

Brightsword Urban Management Puerto Rico Ltd.

 

Brightsword Urban Management, formed to keep closer control over their Puerto Rican assets, submits a progress report on the purchasing of casinos in the area, and net profit gained from these ventures. (Mod) Due to less workers to provide materials for the drones, the in-house factories of Brightsword's completion times are delayed. (8 pages)

Founded simply to hold the name for the future, this division is to handle management of the factories of Brightsword.

Iberia, convoy towards The Chief

 

Madeline probably sat in one of the rear trucks as the convoy roared across old country roads, torn up by the countless battles and shells. They wove their way into a pass between two large cliffs covered in brush and withered trees and one of the new soldiers leaned forward from his position beside her. “A brother of mine said that half his platoon was killed in an ambush nearby a month ago. Inch allah we will go through safe!”

 

A second later, his head erupted into a shower of blood as the foremost and rear-end vehicles exploded into magnificent plumes of fire and smoke. Throat-ripping screams came from the two vehicles as men jumped out, their clothes and skin alight.

 

 

Their skin blistered and bubbled as they fall to the ground in their final, agonized throws. More bullets come from nowhere as the Caliphate new recruits pour out the trucks in a haphazard crowd.

 

“Group up! Take c-” Yells an officer, halted by a bullet in the jaw. It tears away the lower part of his face and he crumples to the ground with a crash. Soldiers are picked off one by one as they run out of cover, but once the visible ones are dead the fire seems to abate and the invisible attacker recedes back into the wilderness, leaving behind four burning wrecks, smoldering bodies and the stench of carbonized flesh hanging in the air.

In Iberia, black op Dominion units pull out after long years of service. Of the 150 deployed onto the field, 13 died in combat due to aerial bombardment or direct confrontation with the enemy while one entire squad of seven committed committed suicide by exploding their equipment when they were surrounded by an unexpectedly large unit of Caliphate forces.

To the CSA, the Dominion sends an offer to exchange their jetpack technology against advanced Sonar and MTW’s. However, the MTW part is sent secretly and they offer to make the whole incident look like an ‘accident’. The agent sent to discuss this speaks for his superiors through his control chip and claims terms of exchange for the MTW’s are negotiable.

Retrofitting most ships and tanks with the starlite coating is now finished, however studying it and including it into infantry armor will take significantly more time, however research is already under way. (8 pages)

 

The unmanned VI/human assisted air-supremacy fighters continue to be worked on and progress is promising. Some enterprising scientists suggest implanting a human brain into the vehicle, however they are met with much scepticism at the moment. Metals are tested to undergo extreme strain and the lead scientists predict it will take quite some time to finalize these planes. (12 pages)

 

The dropship also continues research, however many scientists seem excited about some prospect and are somewhat distracted to the unknowing man’s eye. (11 pages)

 

Select Brightsword scientists are allowed entry into the country through a private plane escorted by F-22X’s to a small airport then brought by convoy to a secluded research lab. With no vision during the trip they would see nothing of the countryside or surrounding land, while at the lab they undergo regular searching and screening and are under constant surveillance, even when they don’t know it. However, they are given access to many advanced Dominion tools and equipment and work hand in hand with Dominion scientists.

 

The previous Brightsword deal is accepted and information exchanged.

To India, China, Russia agents are sent to add to the already globe-spanning NDE spy network. They are of course of the proper ethnic origin and have learned proper cultural traditions, etc. The Indian one has fabricated papers that claim he is from Sri-Lanka while the Chinese one is from Taiwan. The Russian one simply slips into the masses of refugees. They all try to nab government positions in either the economical bureau’s or high placed politicians offices. As per usual for NDE agents they have a control-chip and a kill-switch in the back of their head, made of various synthetic materials but metal is no longer put into them, as the technologies have evolved.
