Outside of Porto in the shanty town where the locals set up shop to defend themselves from Muslim sheling.

 

The Grandmaster walked through the town where people prayed and had a massive zeal. Priests shouted in their mass and asked for forgiveness and strength. Although the people had fled the city they had set up farms along the river Douro and small pig farms. The order men in their white battle armour patrolled the streets. Even though there were many wounded and many children were orphans people were still relatively happy seeing how many attacks from the muslims had been repled and the EMUs had arrived. Many orphans signed up to fight for the order and flag where hoisted in the shanty town, but it was not the union jack, but the red cross of christ on a white back ground. 

 

In Zaragoza things were slightly different, people filled the streets but there were many blockades on wider more acesible points to the city. Making the only entrences chocke points. The military presence there was big, with platoons stationed guarding key points, and scouts sent every so often to see if any army was arriving. The zeal there was also high seeing how they reflected a major Muslim attack, "God wills it!" shouted the populous when they heard that the attack had been repled.

 

In the Leonesian towns things were differents. Rains had been making it hard for the people leaving there, disease spread, although some medicine had been smuggled in along with the EMUs and quarateens had been set up many people still died. They saw this has a sign of God, "God punishes us for fleeing from battle!" said a few priests and bishops of the area.

 

Things were hard in Northern Iberia but there was no less zeal then any other places. At any stone that was thrown at them they would pick themselves back up and continue on their way. The life of the Iberian people is hard, but zeal filled their hearts and hope that God will reward them with victory.

Russia - Caliphate

As the Caliph begins to secure the newly annexed Russian territories, a mass migration event is underway in the region. Thousands, possibly millions of people, exodus en masse toward the Russian border. They take whatever they can carry in their vehicles or on their backs. Generations of slavic peoples had lived and died in these areas, and now they were fleeing toward the Motherland, Russia.

This creates a two-fold humanitarian crisis. First, the crisis of movement. The roads in the exodus regions are choked with both foot and vehicular traffic almost constantly, making trading and the movement of supplies in the region nearly impossible by land. This slows food and grain supplies into the heartland of the Caliphate. Secondly, the Russians must figure out how to manage such a huge number of people fleeing into their southern border. This would force the allocation of millions, possibly billions, of dollars in accommodations for the refugees who are trying to find safe haven in Mother Russia.

The British Expedition

 

As the expedition returns to the icy depths to explore the ruins, they find some rather astounding things. First of all, the language displayed on old signs and iconography in the area is astoundingly similar to that of Ancient Greece, however there are several deviations that simply cannot be interpreted. Most are simply street names similar to a modern city, or names of buildings. However some signs can be interpreted rather ominously;

- “Food and Water”
- “We Will Endure”

All of these signs point towards some type of cataclysm, but what exactly that may be has yet to be discovered. The incredible state in which the ruins are in allow for very interesting sites. Skyscrapers tower incredibly high, some even being cut off by the thick ice sheets that rest idly high above the city, concealing the massive ruins.

 

The buildings themselves are super-high tech, appearing to be built out of some unknown structure not yet identified by humans. They are clearly very sturdy structures, having survived for what would have had to have been several years. Analytics would have to be done on these buildings to figure out exactly what sort of material these buildings were made from.

While exploring the rest of Europa using sea-drones, several other dead-sites are discovered, but whether or not they contain similar ruins has yet to be discovered.

The Socialist Union of Federal Russia

 

The Refugees came at a very beneficial time. As millions march from areas such as Crimea, the KGB takes no time into sending teams to the Russian naval base to demolish it, burning all important intelligence and blueprints. The government meanwhile faces sincerely challenges, over 6 million refugees had passed the border by now, Russian troops trespassing into Caliphate territory to protect the refugee streams from potential Islamic attacks.

 

 

The Government did not waste with their expenditure, erecting homes for the refugees with heavy costs. Dmitry saw these refugees as a new labor force, which Russia needed badly. With the new homes, all capable refugees were registered by the fortunate bureaucratic system of Russia and dispatched into various sectors where work was required. This would be a slow, random but a rewarding system. Thousands enlist in the military with the saying "Today, we march in Moscow. Tomorrow, we march to Ankara!".

 

The Chairman spoke to the people of the world, taking a stance on anything for the first time as chairman of the Soviet Presidium.

Great marches are held within Moscow and are organized in various formerly Russian regions as a sign of the re-awakening of Russian nationalism. What was done to the nation was not righteous, the people should not be the victims.  Although the government struggled heavily with ensuring that the refugees were handled accordingly, a statement of a new hope reached the ears of many Russians currently outside Russia.

“******* crazies those Californians, e’en before they went hitler on us.” While the news would primarily be broadcast to the American nations, the whole world would be notified as well, through the medias.

A bloodcurdling scream erupted throughout the room as the man writhes in agony. Beside him, a scientist takes a few notes on a datapad and turns away as a spinning electric saw cuts open the mans arm. Apparently immune to his agonized pleas, the scientist steps out of the room and into an observation deck with a thick glass window.

 

“How many have you already created, Rosenberg?” asked a man in a formal military suit. His old eyes examined the writhing figure with cold disinterest, like any other military asset general Stallone had ever laid eyes upon.

 

“This is Subject 178, sir. We expect the following dozen to be ready within two weeks, should our funding increase by 7.56 percent.”

 

Stallone idly flicked some ash from his long cigarette to the floor and took a long pull, filling the room with acrid smoke. “Before I can allow that, I need a demonstration.”

 

Rosenberg smiled thinly, the smile of a man who enjoyed his job to the furthest extent. “Very well General. You shall have it.”

A few minutes later they arrived in a large hangar filled with the buzz of machinery and electronic components. In the middle of it, 177 figures stood ramrod straight, large rifles in their hands and a strange looking sword hooked to their back. Their armor was jet black and bulky in strange places, places that were not physiologically possible.

 

“In the laboratories, we call them Soldierboys, General. To the world, they will be known as Terminators.”

 

He taps a button on the small computer clamped to his wrist and the 177 turn towards them in perfect synchronization. “More metal than man, they will never relent. Never stop, never tire or hunger or fear or flee. This is military perfection, just within your grasp, general!” says the scientist with a fervent look on his face.

 

He passes a datapad to Stallon, who quickly runs through it. Slowly, his eyes widen. Indeed, this was better even than his Death Korps. Most of the brain had been rewired and worked on extensively, crushing any seeds of dissent. Emotions were no longer in existence and pain could no longer factor in their atrophied brains. Large sections were now under the control of an advanced VI and what small parts of the previously human conscience remained were powerless, forced to watch themselves move under the control of an alien being.

 

Most of the body was now replaced by bionic limbs and electronics. Many organs had been removed and replaced with better bionic versions or completely taken away. The arms and legs were now totally robotic and sheets of highly resistant metal were graphed over many of the possible parts of the body, including the head. Both eyes were removed and replaced with cybernetics before the head itself was encased in a non-removable helmet, sealed shut.

 

 

 

Following the attachment of sheets of metal, both flexible and non-flexible directly to the bone or base structure, additional wiring and other non-essential components were put in, many weaving through the body as if it were part of the circuitry itself. Every augmentation and technological advancement had been implanted or added to these Terminators. Interestingly enough, most of them were prisoners from the camps in the north deemed as acceptable subjects, as well as certain highly fanatic volunteers. Only a few were unwilling military or citizens. Not that it mattered, the control chip and the VI were powerful enough to quell any rebellion, especially with the selective lobotomy they all went through.

 

If the scientists were correct, these units could be one fo the greatest assets the Dominion had ever had! “How many can you produce?” asked Stallon eagerly.

 

“...200.” said the scientist, licking his lips nervously.

 

“200?!”

 

“In the first wave, General! I expect we will reach a number of about 2000 in the following years. Few are capable of undergoing these extremely stressful operations without dying, and we have only a 45% survival rate for the initial lobotomy. The price and time effort is also extremely steep, sir.”

 

“Very well. Project Spartan will receive its funding.”

The first wave of Terminators is produced and the research phase of Project Spartan comes to an end. For the moment, they are only tested in top secret facilities where the personal is not allowed to leave the base and only supply trucks that undergo extremely high surveillance are allowed in. Not even a whisper of their existence escapes these bases, yet.

All other Dominion research projects go on uninterrupted, however many researchers and resources previously allocated to Project Spartan are now liberated and the next scheduled program is launched by the government. With their infantry perfected, the Dominion deemed it necessary to begin improving their air capabilities and split ressources into two new projects.

 

 

 

The first if plans for a new drop ship to launch or land soldiers into war zones. Anti-Air countermeasures and automatic turrets will be fitted onto it for some defence and with a certain amount of retrofitting it could be turned into a gunship. ((8 pages))

 

While the second project will be a new fighter craft, controlled by a VI with a human back home should there be need for an intervention. It is engineered to be faster, more mobile without a pilot inside and have heavier hitting power both to land and air targets. Additionally, there is work planned to improve its surface to better avoid missiles. ((9 pages))

Brazil

 

 

It didn’t take long for the Death Korps and DART teams to realize their mistakes. They had entered into the jungle and forgotten so many rules and unspoken laws from the past that many died before the Dominion pulled them out for a reevaluation. Records and old training from the Vietnam era are pulled out of the archives and over the course of a few months the teams are put through brutal training in the Colombian jungles. They train with guerrillas and against them in anti-guerrilla warfare, with special forces from these countries on survival and all around drill as hard as possible to achieve perfection in jungle warfare.

 

Once they return to the front, they are ready to face the enemy and this time around Command hopes that their additional training plus a certain amount of veterancy will help them rule the jungle when the sun sets, much like their predecessors in Asia.

Mars

 

 

 

The members of the Dominion branch of S.P.E.A.R were silent. They knew what finding this meant, knew how huge it would be. All of them wondered what exactly would happen, what the plans were back on earth. Even the commissar was confused but in the end, like all the others they accepted their role. They were not the ones to decide, they were the ones to act. And so they would. At long last, a message returned to them from the Dominion. They were to begin searching the city in groups of two, leaving two back at the base on high alert at all times. The Dominion proposed to Australia and the CSA to act in the same way, exploring the ruins in teams of two.

 

Samples would have to be brought back, tech retrieved where it could be found and materials analyzed back at the base. Any findings were to be sent back to the Dominion and S.P.E.A.R as a whole through a newly opened and highly encrypted channel watched over by VI’s to prevent any intrusion.

 

Commissar Reznov slammed the brakes and the small buggy ground to a halt next to the shattered remains of a tower. All around them these spires shot into the sky like the skeletal hands of a long-dead giants. He took a deep breath and stepped out of the buggy, grabbing his rifle and a backpack full of scientific equipment. “Let’s see what we can find.” he muttered to his companion, Janet.

Finally, war with Asia was over. Well, aside from Japan at least. Since the U.S lost all of its Pacific Territories already, it asks Japan for peace. If Japan continued to stay at war with the Union, the Union would not surrender or attack without premise. In the Atlantic, the U.S asks the British for peace. Union troops stay at the ready near Eastern Canada. The Atlantic Navy does its best to repel British ships and now, since the MTW has been repaired from its prior initial failure, it seems that there is hope for the USA to endure through the weary war. The fixed version of the MTW blueprint is sent to the CSA and apologies for inconveniences are made.

 

A team of Americans are sent into the Arctic to scavenge for oil and natural gas near Canada and Alaska. ((Mod Needed)). Canada is made into a U.S State and the Unified Grand Parliament governs the joined nations. The small Canadian military is quickly absorbed into the U.S and bases finish completion - located all around the country. Canadian countrymen are offered better lives if they joined American Special Forces teams and create the Canuck Corps. Roads are expanded and school adopt the American system which is improved.

 

In Washington D.C, plans to relaunch the abandoned Orion space project are made underway. It will take many years to launch a capsule into space with humans aboard, but the U.S thinks it is worth it. Russia, an enemy of Japan, is offered a non-aggression pact and trade agreement. The U.S offers aid to the Russians in the form of food rations and medical kits.

 

The Brightswood Defense Corporation is offered asylum in the United States and a proposed deal. America's free market society would be a perfect place for them and the U.S military would pay a hefty amount for rapid technological growth. A contract is planned and a place in the Union is offered to them.

 

In order to catch up technologically, America starts the planning phase of Project LION and Project RAPTOR. America asks for a trade agreement between all player-operated nations.

The Socialist Union of Federal Russia

 

Russia welcomes USA's initiative with open arms, accepting all proposals and proposing a joint space program themselves. Around 20% of the refugees are housed and employed as the KGB ensured that the Caliphate could not salvage Russian tech. The social situation in Russia improved as well, considering the rising industry and socialism within the country.

 

 

The country was in a happy mood. It is not often that Russia had face a threat so grand, yet survived with its integrity. Although much land was lost and the economy was tanking. People had homes, commerce and a proper military to defend them. Dmitry Medvedev toured the country and issued hardline reforms in education and security,  establishing Committee's and moving the people to rebuild the country with a hammer and sickle!

 

 

But Dmitry nor the people had forgotten what those nations did to Russia, something that went beyond many moral boundaries that made a difference between savagery and civility.  This new soviet alternative would reap the benefits of a controlled society, but respect the liberties required in the new age. A call for revenge however, was strong.

 

 

And revenge they would get. As the most educated Russians from the annexed regions fled to the motherland, they had a motive to contribute the things they kept hidden from the despised Putin regime. Educational committee's became filled with scholars and scientists.  The military returned to 2.5 million personell, many defectors from Belarus and the Finnish regions also joined.

 

 

Former politicians like Vladimir Putin and Aleksandr Loekasjenko {Belarus} had secured themselves in Russia. They became icons of the good ol' times, their allegiance to the former Prime Minister remained in tact. Together they would restore Russia's glory, the people believed they could at least. It was all they got.

 

Perhaps between the mist of industrial pollution and communism, there was still hope for a good Russia once again.

Madison had landed a couple hours ago and was struggling to find her way through all the people in the street. She had been told to read through a Islamic handbook and had to recite the boring thing over and over again till it was ingrained into her mind before she finally found the right place on the map she was handed "This is why I don't travel, cant understand a single sign..." she mutters under her breath before she heads into what was labelled on the map a recruitment center for the Islamic army and she quickly got in line for recruitment. She adjusts the German assault rifle on her shoulder going over all the needed information for the recruitment process and once she got to the desk she was asked to answer random questions along with praying to Allah, during the recruitment process she was asked how she had acquired a German assault gun and answered with "I come from a very wealthy family in Berlin, got it from my family". Finally after about an hour of answering questions she was finally told she had been accepted into the army before being sent to a sort of waiting room till a recruitment commander would come to collect the new recruits-She had gone under the name Madeline Wilhelm. Confederate States of America

 

So far the CSA has only committed sixty thousand troops to the jungle fight, probing the Brazilian defense. Locating and destroying anti-air installations in the jungle, rooting out guerrillas, and taking control of the roads. Resistance was stiff but their measure was taken and the advance given. Moving through areas of the jungle cleared of anti-air and Brazilians by special forces, light infantry trek through the jungle under air cover. Nearly two hundred thousand stream through the jungle under guidance from jungle fighter units. They would move through the cleared cordons, entering into the more civilized heart of northern Brazil. Mainly agricultural lands now, the infantry were able to fight better back. Trying to draw the Brazilian's into open battle and smash them, they start to besiege the bigger cities in the north. 

 

The coast of Brazil has long been blockaded and subdued, especially in the north. Five beachheads were cleared by rail-gun shelling, special forces, and air raids. The CSA naval invasion would begin with small waves of ten thousand to each beachhead. After clearing out softened resistance, they would push inward and set up defensively. The main bulk of the one hundred and fifty thousand man coastal invasion force would then land, infantry, vehicles, and tanks outfitted with rail-guns. They would move out to aid in the takings of the tamed land, while probing south to engage Brazilian forces not in the jungle there.

 

The CSA called to the states to supply their State Militia to the CPNA efforts in Brazil, needing more troops. Most states answered the call, the size they send differing. Many sates near Brazil however kept their private armies close, fearing attack. All together nearly four hundred thousand troops were offered by the states. Half of them would begin jungle training in Columbia and Venezuela, while the other half are sent to aid in the coastal invasion. A new research project is set, the CSA wishing to improve their navy.

 

Work would go into retrofitting destroyers to be far more deadly. Weaponry would be specialized in the killing of submarine and airplane. MTW's from the U.S would be outfitted on them, along with the Advanced Anti-air systems the CSA possessed. Missile systems would complete the aerial complement, as the U.K is asked to let the CSA help pay for advanced submarine detection systems in return for blueprints. An outdated nuclear powered carrier enters one of Haiti's numerous ship yards to begin heavy retrofitting and updating. Most of it would be striped and rebuilt, making the hull capable enough to hold and support a significantly larger then before naval rail-gun. The converted nuclear carrier would be a new heavy breed of war ships. It could supply itself and shoot from long ranged distances with accuracy. MTW and Advanced anti air runs along the ship, and a marine complement is garrisoned below. They are dubbed Stone-Walls, in honor of a long past Confederate general. ((Mod needed for approval and page time))

 

Brightsword Defense Incorporated is contacted, the CSA hoping to persuade them to their deal. They offer the corporation to set shop in Puerto Rico, and have certain laws and rights so they can operate as they wish. Large tracts of land near the coast and in the jungle would be sold to them, and left to their own wishes. The CSA hopes the corporation would work closely with them, though still providing troops to other nations as well. They are offered a complement of a frigate, three destroyers, and five corvettes for use in the Caribbean/Atlantic only if they decided to agree. Part of their corporation's expenses would be paid for by the CSA, but wish for the corporation to be closely tied with them. They are hinted at the chance for expansion into the Caribbean. The corporation could do as it pleased, the CSA only wanted a close partner. A separate deal is the hiring six thousand special forces to aid fighting in the Brazilian jungle.

The Emperor gave the order at midnight, on the third day after his father's death. 500,000 Italian Soldiers left the heavily guarded and walled borders of Italian-Iberia. The secret dealings with the Reclaimer corp had come to a close and the 1,000 Phalanx had been shipped via naval boat in the "exercises". At their head was 1,000 Reclaimer Phalanx Soldiers, the convoy sped towards the front line to intercept the Caliphate advance in its rear. Meanwhile at sea the Naval "Exercise" had floated close towards Iberia before dispersing in various directions. Warned by the British slaughter at the Bay of Biscay, the navy deployed thousands of mines throughout the Sea, specifically nearest the Gibraltar, as well as the  Iberian and Italian coasts. Meanwhile all Italian subs are deployed to hunt and destroy the Caliphate u-boats that had spelled destruction for the British. The larger, more destructive, part of the Navy heads towards Gibraltar... to cut off any and all Islamic  and trade to the occupied peninsula. The Muslims would not gain a foothold in Europe. The skies are soon swarmed with Italian air force, God Wills It!

The Islamic Caliphate

 

 

Madrid, Al-Andalus

The recruits stand in ranks, outfitted with the standard black armor of the Islamic Army. Madison had been quickly processed and sent here for training, and also now wore a veil, which had been demanded for the sake of medesty. Discussions in Arabic have been continuing around her for some time now: their subjects ranging from the appearance of giant bird-like machines on the front, to the internal workings of the Caliphate, to accounts of General Saeed. There are many nicknames for the man, some of them more flattering than others. He is certainly feared and clearly has no tolerance for failure, but he has brought victory many times, and many of the men have great confidence in him. All such conversations stop however, when a man in an officer's uniform appears and motions for silence.

"I am lieutenant Omar Hussein. From this point until I say otherwise, my word is like that of blessed Allah himself. In two weeks it is my job to turn each and every one of you into something that might actually be useful on the field of battle."

He takes a breath.

"Until very recently we were fighting a alliance of Britain and the Order of Saint George, both of which have been unable to stop us. Indeed, if things had gone as they were up until this very morning, I sincerely doubt you would ever see real action. But as of today, the 'Empire' of Italy has declared war on us and crossed into rightful Caliphate lands."

The men unanimously laugh, used to making jokes about the Italians. It was no secret that the Caliphate had simply stolen the south of Spain from them without even a fight. But Omar waves for silence.

"Now I think we all know that Italy itself is an insignificant museum masquerading as a relevant country. Alone, they would be no threat whatsoever. But they are not alone. It be a surprise to no one that the real enemy here is the damned Greeks, or more specifically, the Reclaimer Corporation. They've already sent in their infantry drones, and they'll probably commit far more once the Italians start losing. Just so you all know what you're up against."

He coughs and looks down at a clipboard.

"As a final note, I believe there's a woman among you here by the name of 'Madeline Wilhelm.' Come see me when drills finish for the day. There are few things to discuss."

With that, Omar leaves and drill sergeants step in to begin the day's training.

 

 

Outside Diyarbakir, Turkey

It had taken a lot to get here. Months of working his way up the ranks, of looking for anything classified that could be sent back home to the NCR. But now the spy was at the level that he could actually get results. This was his first risky mission inside the Caliphate, and so he was exceedingly cautious. He had creeped undetected through the perimeter of the restricted area outside Divarbakir, and was now climbing a rocky hill in search of the source of the light that came from the other side. Whatever it was, it had to be important. He'd read the records: hundreds of shipments of unknown cargo had arrived here in just the past couple weeks. It wasn't just from factories within Islamic borders, either. Many of these shipments were marked as imports from India. Whatever is here, it had to be important.

 

As he nears the top of the hill, there's a loud buzzer from within, and he drops to the ground, terrified that his cover is blown. But it's just the announcement of some PA system starting up on the other side. It speaks in loud, echoing tones, the closest speaker obviously being very close:

"OPERATION IS A GO. ALL UNITS COMMENCE DEPLOYMENT."

There's a sound of engines, and the agent looks to his left as headlights illuminate a convoy driving on the road out of the area. But this convoy simply keeps going, with no rear in sight. Satisfied that he's safe, the man climbs to the crest of the hill and looks over into the floodlit valley beyond. What he sees makes his jaw drop.

 

Below is possibly the largest arsenal seen in one place in any living person's memory. Uncountable Qahhar-armed fighters, thousands of cannons. The spy can barely believe his eyes as it is, but he gasps when he sees the right side of the valley: a two-file line of Indian Tandon drones, all armed with Qahhar cannons. Instantly he knows what he's looking at. This is the combined military production of the Caliphate and India for the last two years. The Reclaimer Corporation's latest ploy wasn't a surprise, they had been preparing for it all along. The Caliph was ready for this war, and this time it would be the Reclaimers caught off guard...

 

The first few days of the Italian invasion go well, as the element of surprise allows them to trample opposition around Zaragoza. The southern Caliphate troops there are forced to pull back to join general Saeed. Although the western front is collapsing under the earnest Islamic advance and Porto is nearly cut off from the rest of the peninsula, suddenly the entire campaign was in dire straits. If Saeed was surrounded, there would be a bloody battle which he could not win with the current balance of power. Airstrikes hit the advancing Italian troops, but their main targets are necessarily the Emu mechs, which although hard to defeat on land are still vulnerable from the air like anything else.

 

But the Italians, by siding with the Reclaimer Corporation,  had ensured that their country would be first along the path of destruction to the Caliphate's ultimate goal, the destruction of the PMC. In essence they had positioned themselves between two 800 pound gorillas, and would now be caught in the crossfire.

 

 

Italy's naval operation to try to blockade the heavily-guarded Strait of Gibraltar is met with colossal failure. Upon reaching the strait they find themselves boxed in by both the Algerian  and Moroccan navies, which total 9 frigates, 7 corvettes and 4 submarines. They are joined by two British destroyers captured in Gibraltar, and three stealth submarines. As shore batteries open fire and the Italian fleet finds itself helpless against aerial attacks, they would be given a chance to surrender, but otherwise would be annihilated. The Italian navy contained only a couple minelaying craft, and so mines are a minimal concern.

 

The garrison of Morocco, totaling 200,000 men, begins to cross the strait into Al-Andalus, their intention being to relieve pressure on general Saeed and hold the Italians at bay. Now that the two countries are at war, the IAF sets about extending their superiority over Italian Iberia. The pitiful air attack force sent by the enemy, which numbers less than 150, is easily grounded as they are both outnumbered and hopelessly outmatched by experienced Islamic pilots and superior Islamic planes. Bombers begin to destroy Italian supply convoys and depots, disable Italian airfields, and damage Italian infrastructure, effectively beginning to dismantle their ability to fight as a fully organized army, much as the Caliphate did against Iberia in the initial invasion.

 

 

Further east in the Mediterranean, the main event finally begins several days after the Italian attack. An armada has been organized from among the Caliphate's naval bases in the Mediterranean, and now moves to eliminate the feeble notions of Italian naval power. It is comprised of 25 frigates, 30 corvettes, 20 submarines, and 4 stealth submarines, accompanied by minesweepers and small gunboats for support. They steam into the waters around Sicily and quickly assert Muslim control over the entire region.

 

It's at this point that the real campaign begins. India and the Caliphate had over the last two years built over 1500 TAI-TFX fighters and armed each one with Qahhar cannons. For the time being, they sit unnoticed in north Africa, awaiting the appearance of the Reclaimer Corporation's airship. The rest of the army is not so idle. The previously-present Air Force in Africa oversees the swift seizure of Malta and all other small islands in the area through the use of paratroopers, while the main force of north Africa prepares to act. ((If the Reclaimer airship appears, I request to respond before it blows me up.))

 

A million troops had massed in the area in preparation for the coming struggle against the Reclaimers, and now their time would come. Supported by bombing and naval shelling, a force of 500,000 crosses the sea to land on Sicily, near Marsala. The landing force is accompanied by 500 Indian Tandon mechs, towering, heavily-armed machines which while not quite as powerful as the Australian Emus were still formidable in battle. Overwhelming the defenders, the Muslims quickly secure the west half of the island and march east towards Messina.

 

A similar landing of 400,000 troops soon also occurs near Catanzaro on the mainland. This force does not have access to mechs, but is outfitted with more heavy armor than usual and has command over a large amount of tanks. The remainder of the African force lands on Sardinia, where they most likely meet very little resistance and move to secure the island quickly.

 

In all these landings, ground-based Qahhar cannons are brought onto shore and moved with the army. Their purpose is unknown to the enemy, as they do not seem well suited for ground-to-ground combat.

 

An additional 700 Tandon drones arrive on the Iberian peninsula and join the Moroccan force. For the time being they are not involved in heavy combat.

The Caliph arrives home after a meeting with the Empress of Brittania. It has been productive, and terms of peace have been reached between the two nations, provided that her parliament approves the treaty. For the time being, the armed forces of both countries continue to struggle in the field.

 

The first few advanced desalination plants are constructed in the Red Sea and in the Mediterranean:

 

 

Relief on the water crisis is immediately felt, but several more will need to be built before the crisis completely passes. Concentrated saline, the one byproduct of the solar-powered process, is now piped to the west end of the nation, where it is dumped in the Atlantic, then being swept south by the prevailing currents. As the system grows larger this will have an increasing effect upon ecosystems in the area. There is also of course the option for the Caliphate to harvest as much salt from this process as it wishes.

 

The refugees fleeing to Russia are treated well, and are not stopped from leaving. If they were not willing to live under the Caliph, they could never be productive citizens of the Islamic State anyway. The delays in food shipments are simply accepted. Islamic officials are cooperative with Russian ones to ensure that these citizens are not mistreated. They certainly had not been during the war, for fighting in the area had been very light.

 

As the project of desalination is no longer such a large drain on resources, the Caliphate once more devotes itself to completing its other major project. It is expected to be ready for activation sometime soon. In addition, military modernization continues, with a range of new advancements to be soon unveiled. The Unification of Russia

 

After long negotiations with a German delegation representing the UEDI, Russia's old borders are entirely restored except those annexed by the Caliphate.  Old deals with the NBC are therefore disbanded before properly signed. With Russia being the biggest nation on the map once again,  it took a diplomatic stance for the first time.

 

 

Russia joins the UEDI, registering its borders in a pre-war state. NBC delegates are politely told to appeal to the UEDI Committee in Berlin if they do not respect a sovereign Russia.  The SUFR however does not agree with a military merger as it militarizes its borders properly. God won't weaken the nation down to the level of Luxembourg in the next war.

 

 

The Chairman Dmitry Medvedev goes on a tour through Asia as it visits Opposition factions and independent politicians in occupied territories and India in an outgoing attempt to revive nationalism in the wake of Russian unification. They are told that they would could easily declare independence as it would be supported and protected by most nations in the world , especially Russia. It is within Dmitry's interests to respect the integrity and people of every nation fallen in the rise of imperialism. {Mod}

 

Internally, the Russian government continues its rationing of oil and gas throughout the nation. Cars are replaced by quality public transport as investments increase in electrical metro's and taxi's.  Nuclear energy is on the rise as well, which is planned to power the future electric traffic within Russia.

 

 

In the wake of the migrations, the KGB acts quick. Disguised as Islamic troops they detonate cars 10 in the middle of the Crimean streets. Killing over 100 migrating civilians. The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs quickly condemns the Caliphate for their radical terrorism. Russian networks, now having access to the European televisions, give large media coverage and fabricated documentaries on the Caliphate's terrorism and so called "Seconds before disaster"-esque shows about the grand slaughter of innocent Russians.

 

 

"It is of course shocking that our Islamic counterparts decided to set such a precedent for the Muslim community and those under the Caliphate's hemisphere. We are also shocked that their government undertook such extremist measures to handle the consequences of their unrighteous invasion of Russia's territories. If you desire to annex any land, an appearance in our modern diplomacy that should be considered outrageous, at least show the dignity to provide for those people that you just occupied. The Russian Federation expresses its most sincere condolences to those fallen in the Caliphate's attack, we can assure you that the right measures will be taken in due time."

THE IMPERIUM BRITANNIA

A ceasefire is instituted between the two nations as the Royal Navy stops attacking American ((btw LION is the name of the British energy weapon technology Brad; might wanna change...)) ships. Britannia will make peace with the Americans provided that the following conditions are met. Of course, they can be negotiated or countered, but these are the initial requests of the British:

1.) No reparations will be paid by the Imperium Britannia to the United States.

2.) Citizens of the new state of Canada shall still swear traditional allegiance to the British Commonwealth and to the English monarch. However, the United States will not be required to participate in any Commonwealth activities. Only the State of Canada will sit on the Commonwealth council, and even then will be considered first and foremost a State of the Union, outside of British control. The duties of the Empress in Canada will continue to be purely honorary.

3.) Though it is not a necessity for peace, the British wish to take Newfoundland Island and create a vassal state of Britannia known as "British Free Canada". Doing this would help to improve British pride and confidence, and would also give Canadian dissidents an option to settle in an area of their homeland outside of American control should they so wish. It would also repair relations between Britannia and Union America, and put the past at ease. The British would also be willing to trade an island territory in the Caribbean in exchange for Newfoundland Island. The British could also be convinced to throw in a monetary "gift" to spice up the offer, as well as a possible seat for a Union scientist on the next BSA Space Expedition.

4.) Britannia does NOT want to be an enemy of America any longer. Their government states that they wish to open diplomatic relations again; it would be a shame to see such a strong relationship between the two nations that had existed for the past century and a half be destroyed by a deluded General and a petty war. Working together, they would be much stronger than they would be if they worked apart.

These are the terms that the British ask for if they sign a peace treaty with the Americans.

The second Europa expedition finally arrives at Europa, and the returning British mothership H.M.S King Charles, which has returned to Earth, is to be leased to the Australians for a special mission of their own, provided that it is eventually returned to the British.

A permanent base is constructed in the name of Britannia, and the new mothership remains in orbit to act as a small space station for the time being.

The hunger and oxygen crisis, which the explorers had just barely survived, ends with the arrival of decades of rations and greenhouse equipment to replenish their food and oxygen supplies. Against all odds, the first expedition... lived.

The resource shuttles are jam-packed with silicon alien life, in addition to Europan ice and rock samples. Automatic nutrient distributors are set into place to feed the animals if need be, although it's likely that they'd be put into extended hibernation for the duration of the year-long trip.

The extra defensive platforms are set up on Europa, and yet more drones and submersibles spend time exploring Atlantis. Oxford Linguists back on Earth and on Europa attempt to decode the variant Greek language so that they might be able to determine the exact fate of the Atlantians.

They also search for any possible technological edges that they might be able to salvage from the ruins... ((Mod for language decoding and tech results))

With the American ceasefire in place, the invasion of Newfoundland Island had cancelled, and the British land 350,000 men off the coast of Normandy, with German approval to do so. The Normans applaud the British landing, for a moment believing that they had returned to save them from German oppression.

But they had not, and they continued marching. Into Iberia. But they were not poorly supplied, like the Iberians were. On the contrary, trails of French trucks follow the British as they make their way to Iberia.

It turns out that there had been an agreement in the UEDI council chambers to create open borders between the member nations. Of course, Britannia would be wary of an entire army simply moving into its borders, but that would be unlikely to happen due to the obscurity of moving troops into the British Isles without reason.

Supported by tanks, SPGs, Armored Transport Vehicles, Warrior Attack Vehicles, and the RAF, the Grand Royal Army charges into Iberia from the Northeast. Overhead, F-35s fire a number of EMP bombs, technology given to Brittania obviously by Germany, in an attempt to disable the anti-aircraft grid for a time. After doing so, British fighters and drones equipped with the Australian AI (There would be a self descruct mechanism in place on the drones to prevent the AI from falling into enemy hands) flying from French airstrips attempt to permanently destroy the anti-aircraft machines that had been set up in the range of their EMP blasts before the British moved to engage the Islamic Air Force in the area in an attempt to wrestle air dominancy in at least one area of friendly Iberia back from the Muslims.

British artillery and air-to-ground missile fire also open up on the Muslim lines, attempting to help relieve their and their allies' ground troops.

As the Grand Royal Army sweeps into Iberia, British generals cry out to the Imperium's Iberian soldiers and the St. Georgians to follow them to victory and partake in their supply lines. Their strategy is to attempt to capture as many major cities and towns as possible in the area that is known to the Imperial High Command as "The Bulge" before parliament makes it's decision on the proposed treaty. Cities targeted in the offensive include Logron, Burgo, Palenola, Leon, and Valladolid. If successful in capturing the most latter, forces would halt, waiting for supply lines to catch up and examine their progress.

 

At best, they may succeed in propping up the Italians and severely harming the Muslim army. At worst, they have attempted to soften the terms of the pending peace treaty, which currently demands the turning over of both Spanish aircraft carriers and the canary islands. Imperial High Command hopes that they can negotiate to save one of these carriers, if not both, at the very least if their new offensive is successful.

Meanwhile, the Royal Navy begins to return to Britannia. Well, most of the Royal Navy, at least.

A task force of naval ships, including 2 destroyers, 3 anti-submarine frigates, and the aircraft carrier H.M.S Queen Elizabeth, move to the Trinidad Island off the coast of Brazil. The British government demands that Brazil sign Trinidad Island away to the Imperium, lest they seize it themselves or worse, join the war against the "corrupt Brazilian government" on the side of the Californian Dominion and the CSA.

The rest of the British navy slowly returns to port in Britain, safe from enemy submarines and ships, although anti-submarine frigates and British submarines now begin to target Islamic submarines in the sea north of Iberia, having gained the technology to more easily detect the stealth ships. Destroyers stand by to assist if need be.

Britain plans to build 10 more destroyers to replace sunken and captured ships, and enhance the British fleet. The government also looks into constructing a fourth Queen Elizabeth class carrier. ((Time Pending Mod Consultion))

The CSA offer is considered, and after much consideration, the British would be willing to grant them the technology (Which has, unfortunently, been completed and therefore it's research cannot be further funded) in return for the granting to them Trinidad Island as a territory of the Imperium, and in return for the promise of not using this technology on any submarine that isn't Islamic. This would include German submarines specifically, as they're the only other ones in possession of such technology.

Parliament continues to debate the peace treaty. It will take some time... One might even say they're stalling, waiting for something, but debate nevertheless continues at a steady progress.
