No. I'm all for aesthetic in weapons and what-not, but this is taking it a bit far. The last thing I want to see on this server is a bunch of people twinkling around with stars or with lava on them like some $15 Fortnite skins. Also, I'm not sure how I feel about the application of Alteration Alchemy for this either.

I get what you mean and it does make sense, I was just thinking of how chi could be something much grander and even fit into a cosmic scale with the 'deep lore'. It is hard to explain but if I do end up writing it myself it will be in at least a few months because I have some other projects going at the moment.

A neutral magic such as chi shouldn't have any cultural thing tying it to a specific aesthetic. Your point about "other magics could easily fill the gaps that chi briefly touches on" directly contradicts your next statement, because someone could easily sit down and meditate with voidal magic (effectively rendering chi as something that isn't needed, and there isn't any necessity for). And any aesthetic/niche can be achieved WITHOUT magic. Chi is an outlier in all other magics because it specifically advocates for a specific culture/aesthetic. The essence of chi is a much more broad concept than any iterations of it are letting off. Anyway, at the end of the day my opinion is just an ideal so if I haven't convinced you already, then arguing further in comments would be a waste of my rep ratio.

Let Chi wither away and perish, the very concept itself is riddled with cultural aspects that hinder the niche's true potential. Something like Chi can exist, but it will never excel if it remains as 'chi', because that thing itself is just a cultural belief of the energy that exists within all. Also, ritual of sanctuary was probably the coolest one and you removed it ): It also doesn't make sense how it would be incompatible with pale blood magic, as such in essence is neutral, you would just want to restrict the ability to abuse other living things as a source of blood/genus. It would be hypocritical to say that using your own blood as a source of power is evil/dark (just because its ooga booga spooky blood), because chi users use their own chi as a source of power, they are one in the same. I am going to reinvent chi in a new lore piece, just a heads up.
