  1. Ivan is incapable of reaching his fellow Prince - as across the table, Alfred is sobbing uncontrollably. ”WHY! WHY GOD!” He acclaimed, seeking answers for the lack of Tylos IV.. .
  2. "Such a sad relationship - the woman must have with her father, in order to accuse him of rebuking his own people." Alfred told his kinsman, Anselm - as he read aloud the missive. "You must be valorous like the slain guardsman, cousin." He advised.. @dmitris
  3. Alfred marked the date down - intending to visit for the festivities.
  4. Alfred rode out to a wayshrine, decorating St. Tylos of Kalden. He knelt before it in prayer, with a Ritter upon his flank. After silent moments of deliberation, the Duke rose to his feet, mumbling to the Ritter present. ".. And now - we await the consensus of the Clergymen, not the Laity."
  5. Alfred, the Prince of Sutica, looked over the declaration. His fingers tightened on the paper, before the man tucked it away into his desk. He offered a prompt glance out the window of his chambers, before flipping through a copy of the Grand Kanun of Minitz. After a moment - he'd closed it shut and put it away. "Hm.. Eh, whatever." He threw his shoulders up into a shrug, dozing off into a nap.
  6. Alfred received the letter, alongside the news of Karl's passing. He keeled over at his desk - slamming a hand & shattering a small jar of writing ink. He held himself there, for a moment. He hadn't seen Karl in years, decades even - and yet it still weighed upon his heart like a pile of bricks. The Duke finally took time to read over what he'd been sent - having recuperated aptly enough. "A gift.." He spelled, lips pressing into thin lines - veiling a slight smile at the commendations levied upon him. "I ought to fetch you a bust - in our Palace, for your service, godfather." Finally, he unlocked a chest that dwelled within the corners of his chambers, high in Kanunsberg. From which - he removed a small bottle of Godsflame. Alfred turned upon his heels and departed, hastily leaving the safety of Minitz's towering walls. The man sought to seclude himself within the Langkette, bringing himself as close to Arturix the Frank's camp as possible. By which point - he'd hurl the potion at the walls of the camp in the dead of night, and promptly withdraw down to home.
  7. Alfred furiously fumbled around his chambers - looking for a gift for his cousin..
  8. Alfred had his men stack his own personal collection of Carrion Black atop the walls of Kanunsberg.. If it was true - he'd need to be rid of it. He mulled over a final bottle.
  9. goodbye petsch - ur a real 1.
  10. Alfred prayed for his friend, and former liege - Aleksandr, same with his heir..
  11. Alfred Barclay rushes into Leon Barclay's chambers - waving a missive around and shouting wildly to his kinsman. "PEACE! PEACE O' FELLOW PRINCE LEON!" ( @BuilderBagel)
  12. Alfred tore down his awesome poster of Ivan Aleksandr with rage. "NOO!!!!! I. HATE. BASTARDS!" He screamed through the halls of Sankt Johannsburg.
  13. "Wer Rastet, Der Rostet." Echoed Leon's Counterpart, the Duke of Reinmar, Alfred.
  14. "Where is the stallion you all promised us decades ago!" Cried Alfred, falling to his knees with a big :( on his face.
  15. Alfred, the Prince of Sutica turned his eyes to Leon - gripping the missive in his hands. A slight grin fell upon his features, as he offered a nod to his counterpart. "We can only hope, Leon. Do not jump to a conclusion.. I assume this only means reconciliation with the Holy Mother Church."

    FOR THE PEOPLE

"Yup, yup, yup - very cool." Alfred muttered, nodding proudly at Theodosia's work.
  17. Alfred dons his nice little hat under his circlet.

The Reinmaren are a subculture of the Waldenians - and wish to reintroduce the culture to the world stage (I.E. The first Waldenian Nation in years, maybe save for Sutica - & first Reinmaren Nation ever) I. The Reinmaren & Cultural Ties Origin of the Reinmaren: The Reinmaren find their origins within the Waldenian semi-nomadic tribes of old. Initially indistinguishable from the other Waldenian peoples, the tribes of chieftains Gelimar and Theoderic made up a small portion of the Waldenian tribes. The genesis of the Reinmaren began with a dispute over the spoils of a particular raid enacted upon some Raevir lands. The dispute led to bloodshed and conflict between the two tribes, with each side suffering major losses. This conflict, however, was quite isolated and irrelevant to the greater portion of Waldenic tribes of this time, who were facing conversion and invasion at the hands of Canonist factions towards the borderlands of the Waldenic tribes’ territory. As such, the conflict escalated to such a point that the chieftains Gelimar and Theoderic sought to end their dispute, and unite as a single tribe as the Canonists loomed upon the then pagan people. As the Canonists further descended upon the majority of the Waldenian tribes, the tribes of Gelimer and Theoderic, now united under a common chieftain, fled from their homelands. They continued their raiding traditions, though now with an additional emphasis on horseback riding and fighting as they traversed the extensive foreign lands of other tribes. The word ‘Reinmaren’ was commonly used by the locals of the lands the tribe roamed to refer to the raiding tribesmen. Eventually, the Reinmaren’s skill in horsemanship led them to be sought after as mercenaries for the warring Northern lords. This period was followed by the Reinmaren’s conversion to Canonism and subsequent swearing of oaths to the Haeseni. As the Reinmaren entered Haeseni society and sought to sustain themselves, new cultural traditions were set into place as the tribesmen navigated this new way of life. These traditions and values are outlined below. Reinmaren Cultural Traditions and Beliefs: The Reinmaren hold some overarching traditions and beliefs that were cultivated over time, and are still practiced in the modern day, especially in the form of trials demanded of every Reinmaren. These include militarism, valuing competence and hardwork, horsemanship, community, egalitarianism, Canonist faith, and honor. The military is a common and well-respected career for any individual to pursue. The Reinmaren, however, do not only engage in such a career as a single individual, but as a family. Generational militarism is common among the Reinmaren as the career is transferred between father and child over the course of several generations. A contemporary example of the upholding of such tradition would be the consecutive Marshalships of the Haeseni Army by the patriarchs of House Barclay: Baron Wilheim, Dukes Erwin, Manfred, and Friedrich. Additionally, Dukes Johann and Wilheim II also served in the position. Competence and hard work are valued greatly among the Reinmaren people. This cultural mindset stems from the times of old as the tribe found themselves engaging in work to sustain themselves and contribute to Haeseni society, who they had previously vowed oaths to. Also of note within the culture is the lack of particular importance placed on specific occupations over others. The Reinmaren are of the belief that the occupation does not make the individual, but that the individual makes the occupation through their hard work and competence in their chosen career, as long as such career contributes to Reinmaren society. The tradition of horsemanship was also cultivated over time, as the Reinmaren raiders and mercenaries of old utilized horses to traverse the lands and engage in conflict. As such, horses and horsemanship became an important staple in Reinmaren life. The animals themselves are assigned great respect and importance as companions to an individual. Horsemanship is impressed upon Reinmaren children as soon as possible, to be able to cultivate the necessary skills and knowledge to uphold the traditional Reinmaren way of life. In terms of interpersonal relationships among the Reinmaren, many individuals view each other as kin with equal status to themselves. This is particularly seen within those of the same generation of extended family, as they are raised with shared beliefs of traditional Reinmaren community, brotherhood, and work. As a note, many such individuals will swear oaths of blood to each other, essentially viewing each other as blooded kin. This egalitarian view of each other translates to many aspects of Reinmaren culture and society. The Reinmaren of old were a pagan people, and upheld their religious beliefs fervently. In the modern times, the Reinmaren have vowed themselves to the true Canonist God with the same such fervor. All Reinmaren individuals are subject to the word of God and the Church, and sin is punished severely. Many Reinmaren individuals have vowed themselves to the church in various monastic, clerical, and scholarly positions. These include, but are not limited to such individuals: Saints Tylos, Johann, & Nicholas, Cardinals Anton, Ailred, Adelric, Viktor, Matthias, & Brandt, and High Pontiffs Tylos I & Tylos III. The above lore is further explored and detailed within the following forum posts: https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/202243-the-legacy-of-the-reinmaren-i-genesis/ https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/202835-the-legacy-of-the-reinmaren-ii-the-oath-of-macken/ https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/208670-the-legacy-of-the-reinmaren-iii-the-reinmaren-individual/ https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/206109-kretzenfest/ https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/196013-the-flight-of-tylos https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/215625-the-order-of-saint-tylos https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/218609-the-reformed-theoderics-warband/ https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/217375-the-grand-kanun-of-minitz/ https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/223008-the-tome-of-chivalry/ https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/218613-the-ritual-of-blood/ https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/218612-the-trials-of-the-stallion/ https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/207033-the-county-of-freimark/ II: The Founding of House Barclay The House of Barclay is a prominent, if not the most prominent, family within the Reinmaren cultural group. They will also be taking on the mantle of the sovereigns of the Principality of Reinmar. As such, a brief recounting of their emergence is necessary. The first patriarch of Barclay was Wilheim ‘the Stallion’, who emerged as the Lord Marshal of the Haeseni Army and was also granted nobility within the Kingdom of Haense as the Baron of Freising. Wilheim’s founding of the house and ensuing tenure would establish a strong foundation for the house in the generations to come. Wilheim’s heir was Duke Erwin, who also ascended to the role of Lord Marshal and subsequently led the army to one of the most prosperous times within its existence. This contribution and value placed upon his marshalship is reflected in House Barclay’s jump in status within a single generation from a barony to a duchy. The following patriarchs of the House of Barclay would further uphold the House’s legacy for generations with the successful reigns of Dukes Manfred, Friedrich, & Erich, and Princes Johann, Johanna, Wilheim II, Manfred II, & Alfred. Emergence of Sutica, Freimark, & Minitz Contemporary Reinmaren communities do not find themselves solely in the Kingdom of Haense. From the highlands to the heartlands, the Reinmaren find themselves spread amongst the human kingdoms of the world, establishing their own Reinmaren communities and claiming their own achievements within their respective realms. Specific example can be made of Sutica, a Canonist nation who was last under the rule of a Reinmaren, Georg I Barclay von Sutica and his descendants, until the nation’s dissolution. The County of Freimark, holding allegiance to the Kingdom of Savoy, was under the rule of the Barclays von Freimark as they worked to cultivate a Reinmaren community within the realm. Upon the dissolution of said nations, the titles held by the Barclays of Sutica and Freimark were transferred to the Barclays von Reinmar. A more recently established Reinmaren community is the Grand Principality of Minitz under the Kingdom of Aaun. The Reinmaren of Minitz distinguish themselves in particular by prescribing more closely to the tribal traditions of their Reinmaren ancestors. They make up an important presence within their kingdom of allegiance, as evidenced by their ascension to the status of Grand Principality. The above lore is further explored and detailed within the following forum posts: https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/188475-royal-writ-of-ennoblement-county-of-reinmar https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/191287-imperial-letters-for-the-duchy-of-reinmar-1765/ https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/205404-ve-herzenz-edykt-i-390-es/ https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/207841-royal-letters-for-the-duchy-of-reinmar/ https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/202153-the-first-national-congress-of-sutica https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/202157-the-merryweather-accord/ https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/205602-royal-letters-for-the-barony-of-freimark-1838/ https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/207301-princely-letters-for-the-county-of-freimark-1847/ https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/214360-royal-letters-for-the-barony-of-minitz-1880/ https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/214830-the-viscounty-of-minitz/ IV. Reinmaren Independence & Recent History In recent times, the Reinmaren of Reinmar and Minitz found themselves wishing to unite once more as a single community under the rule of a Reinmaren sovereign. This growing sentiment was further cemented by then patriarch Manfred II Barclay’s vision, conveyed by Saint Johann of Sutica, of an independent Reinmaren nation. Princes Manfred II von Reinmar and Ferdinand von Minitz began the preparations within their respective nations. Their heirs, Alfred von Reinmar and Leon II von Minitz, continued the work of their fathers and were able to amicably separate from their respective lieges, then jointly founding the independent Principality of Reinmar. The above lore is further explored and detailed within the following forum posts: https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/218570-der-adlerpakt https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/215295-book-of-waldenia/ https://www.lordofthecraft.net/forums/topic/233403-the-stallion-decree-513-es/ Realm Government Structure Explanation: The Principality of Reinmar is effectively an absolute hereditary monarchy with two co-princes, both styled as Prince of Reinmar, who together serve as heads of state. Under them is to be a council called the Herrenhaus, the main governing organ of the settlement, made up of figures such as the Erstkanzler, Warchief, Lawspeaker, Herrenmeister, Treasurer, Bailiff, Herald, and a man of the cloth as a representative of the Church of the Canon to serve for spiritual needs. Below the Herrenhaus is the Landtag, which is meant to serve as a second council and main legislative body of the settlement. Composed of all Reinmaren and certain Honorary Reinmaren, it is meant to be the body that attends and votes on laws during the Moots. Having tried to summarize as much, below is perhaps a clearer explanation: Heads of State: - THE CO-PRINCES AND THEIR RESPECTIVE CONSORTS; serving as joint heads of state and jointly responsible for the maintenance of the Herrenhaus and elections for the Landtag. - Owing to their shared power and so forth, both are known as High Chief of the Reinmaren. - The Co-Princes will be distinguished / separated by the two different sub-Principalities held by House Barclay, Sutica (Reinmar branch) & Minitz (Minitz branch). Herrenhaus: - THE ERSTKANZLER; serves as the head of the Herrenhaus - acting as a guiding hand & a representative to the Co-Princes, on behalf of the Council. - THE WARCHIEF; serves as the head of the military within Reinmar. - THE LAWSPEAKER; serves as head of the Landtag and interpreter and the one delivering the judgement of the Kanun on accused wrongdoers, essentially head of all legislation. - He or she shall possess the Grand Kanun, a testament to their authority as Lawspeaker. - THE HERRENMEISTER; serves as Ritter-Kommandant of the Order of Saint Tylos the Stallion of Reinmar and serves as its second authority, on behalf of the two ruling Princes. - He or she shall have the Sword of Saint Tylos as a testament of their authority and status. - THE TREASURER; serves as the main head of the treasury and stewardry within Reinmar. - THE BAILIFF; the primary law-enforcer of Reinmar, works in tandem with Lawspeaker & Treasurer to maintain affairs of the realm (I.E. more roleplay oriented, mayor-like position) - THE HERALD; serves as the main head of diplomacy and so forth within Reinmar. - THE CHAPLAIN; serves as the main spiritual figure within Reinmar, responsible for administering sacraments, giving spiritual counsel, and as the Princes’ personal confessor. Landtag: - THE LAWSPEAKER; serves as head of the Landtag, tasked with hosting elections. - THE LAWMEN; of which there can be only two. They are elected by the Seated every four years, and are tasked with proposing amendments of the Kanun (basically the entire law). - THE SEATED; any Reinmaren or Honorary Reinmaren that sit in the Moot, those that can vote in favor or against law amendments, suggest nominations for Lawmen, and so forth. Capital Builds (photos required): Government Buildings: the Moot Hall, Bank, Tax Office The Church Clinic, Tavern, Shops Theatre, Main Keep Manor District How does this settlement offer a unique niche not already found in an existing polity on the server?: This settlement offers a unique niche not already found on the server by looking to cater to a specific roleplay culture, namely the Reinmaren, and players enjoying the sort of roleplay that comes along with being one, such as having and being proud of a tribal history that still has lingering influences in the culture’s present day such as having a nominal High Chief of the Reinmaren at the head of it all, a Warchief as the head of the military, a Lawspeaker to interpret laws and oversee a Moot made up of all Reinmaren for legislation, and so forth. To put it simply, there are very, very few human nations today that still carry tribal-esq ties, whilst Reinmar’s intention is to mesh both feudalism (belonging initially to the Haeseni Reinmaren) and the tribalism (that overtook Minitz) into one, reforming the Tribes of the Reinmaren (Barclay, Stroheim, Berkhoven, Sturmweber) into fully fledged feudal houses, practically an evolution of the culture. Beyond that we are hoping to cater to the overarching Waldenian culture that Reinmaren are a part of by showing a willingness to take in Waldenian characters that aren’t already spread out over other human nations, knowing that there hasn’t been an independent Waldenian state in a very long time. Our hope with this is that the culture can be further expanded on and that, with time, perhaps other Waldenian subgroups such as the Reinmaren can emerge. How does your settlement tie to the greater lore and narrative set by the community on LotC?: The Reinmaren, within their years-long existence on the server, have primarily served as vassals under non-Waldenian sovereigns. Overtime, the Reinmaren people have grown gradually from a single baronial house in servitude to Haense, to an assemblage of families, of which the most notable are Barclay, Stroheim, and Berkhoven, united by a common origin and identity. The years spent between Reinmar’s origin and the current day were not without accomplishments and contributions to the server’s lore and narrative. House Barclay, of which the majority of the Reinmaren are comprised, have contributed to multiple aspects of Haense’s community - most notably that of government and military. The house has spawned an assortment of Reinmaren in positions such as Lord Marshal, Treasurer, High Seneschal, Lord Speaker, etc. Additionally, branches of the Reinmaren Barclay line have gone on to reach nobility and similar positions within other nations and communities, such as Sutica, Savoy, Oren, Aaun, and the Canonist Church - including counts, princes, three saints, and two high pontiffs. As such, Reinmaren player bases have been established and cultivated under multiple nations, contributing in their own ways to those they served, yet still remaining true to the overarching Reinmaren origins and traditions. A unified Reinmaren (Waldenian) settlement will continue to contribute to the server’s greater lore and community, albeit now as a united entity centering around the Reinmaren (and naturally by extension, Waldenian) people. Have you ever run a settlement on LotC before and what experience do you have with leadership within roleplay communities among the current groups of players?: Whilst I have never officially ran either a settlement or nation on LOTC before, I have had experience with a variety of roles within roleplay groups that could be considered unofficial leadership. For example, Knight-Martial of the Order of the Crow (Haense) in early 2022 - also, Bailiff of the Duchy of Minitz (Aaun), from March, 2023 until recently - through the Adrian Rebellion. Aside from this, my leadership has been exclusive to my assistance in helping the House Barclay, in both the Haense and Aaunic branches - since the beginning of 2022. All things considered, many of those that have taken part in the leadership of this settlement have had similar roles in the past, ranging from participating in the government of various realms spanning over years to keep the name of Reinmar and Minitz afloat, albeit as roleplay communities under already-existing realms rather than their own independent entities. Do you understand the metrics for maintaining activity and the grounds for settlement removal, along with the standing polity cap? Yes, we understand the metrics. 19. Alfred Barclay took himself through the square of Sankt Johannsburg, overlooking the road to Valdev. He smiled - some. Perhaps he'd finally be able to accomplish St. Johann's dream. "WER RASTET, DER ROSTET." The Duke of Reinmar cried aloud - proudly slamming his chest.
  20. Alfred frowned, lowering his eyes over the notice detailing Andrik's death. He shook his head, uttering only a few words. "You may have mocked me as a child - but you did your duty, Ser Andrik. Rest well." The Duke of Reinmar bowed his head.
  21. Kasimir Jumbo 2 (the second of his name) was in an uproar over this - "IT ISN'T TRUE!!! NO!!!!!" He cried, "THEY CLAIM MY TITLES!!!!"
  22. The Duke of Reinmar, Alfred sat within the confines of his quarters in Minitz. He mulled over his invitation before offering a rather quiet nod. "THEODOSIA!" He shouted, waving his invitation in the air. He was unable to lift himself - as of current, but intended to make sure his wife knew to prepare. @sondher
  23. Leutwin’s father wandered the streets of Kanunsberg.. He brought his eyes to the sky - having learned of his son’s murder through his firstborn, Matthias. A hand fell to the pommel of his blade, in silent consideration. Ludolf let out a sigh, marching to the animal pens of Minitz - armed with nothing but a simple Arming Sword. He forced a goat from the pen, promptly putting it to the blade. The Templar fell to his knees, marking under his eyes in the blood of the slain animal. “As I did decades ago with Ludrik von Katzak, I take my second oath of vengeance.”
  24. CHRONICLES OF THE REINMAREN: FREDERICKSBURG The following is the perspective of Alfred, Duke of Reinmar, during the Siege of Fredericksburg. [DO NOT METAGAME] The 9th day of Grona and Droba of 512 E.S. There came the 9th of Tobias’ Bounty, 1959 - Alfred was awoken early in the morning by his wife, who had practically forced him to begin preparations. He led himself to his desk, not one to leave anything undone. Fredericksburg was a risk, probably one that Alfred would be most prone to injury in, credit to his place amongst the cavalry. Once his letters had been aptly written, he donned his armor, seeking out his young son and daughter. For a moment, the future Duchess of Reinmar - the future of his House - rested in his arms, embracing her father in a hug. Alfred let a heavy sigh escape his lips as he guided her back to her cradle. Once he’d found himself in the streets, men in blue and green lining the walkways that used to form the foundation of Minitz’s Moothall. At their head was Wilhelm, both Hauptmann and Warchief, his leadership unhindered over both Reinmaren Militaries. Wilhelm lifted a glove to his hat, drawing it up and off of his head. He turned to Alfred, who’d suddenly approached him, and took to his side. The duo conversed for minutes, only hushed whispers were exchanged back and forth. Once the Grand Prince Leon had subsequently arrived with the remainder of his Council - the two Reinmaren Princes approached one another and embraced heartily, Aaunic & Haeseni in union. They loosened the ranks for a time before they departed, gathering in the tavern of Minitz to drink. Alfred and Leon drank Illatian wine, engaging about how they’d topple the walls of Fredericksburg. Thereafter, Alfred’s memory skipped a beat - taking him to the moment of separation, where Leon diverted the Warband and Order of St. Tylos to unify with King John’s Army in Whitespire. Alfred, Wilhelm, and Michal headed the Landsers von Reinmar, who headed west, crossing the River Petra to unite with the army of Aleksandr II. It was a treacherous trip - however their numbers did not dwindle, nor did they falter. As Alfred’s host arrived at the gates of Marignan, bordering the siege camp that practically engulfed Stassion in hostile territory - credited to Lemon Hill and the fortifications constructed. They were welcomed by men of the Brotherhood of St. Karl, and at their helm - Leonid Kortrevich. The men of Reinmar were only provided momentary respite before arming themselves to man the walls against the scourge of Stassionite cavalry. At the behest of Aleksandr II, those pre-emptively assigned to the regiments of cavalry that were intended to strike a returning blow, mounted up. Amongst those ranks were Alfred, his kinsman, Brandt, Olaf von Reinmar, and another relative, Konstantin von Theonus. The detachment rode north, keeping within sight of the keep. Their purpose was only to fend off their opponents until Fredericksburg was aptly shelled. Eventually - after the walls had been riddled with artillery fire - the time came, and Alfred threw himself from his steed with dutiful haste, after having withdrawn to their camp. Olaf rushed to his side, delivering to him the Cross of St. Tylos, a pinnacle of Reinmaren culture and faith. He left his acquired steed, Auspice, at the gates of their siege camp. Now, they’d assault the throne-room of Fredericksburg, in an attempt to wrangle it from the hands of the Veletzians. Once the call came, they flooded from the walls of their camp, quickly traversing the burned out, ruined lands that separated Marignan, from Fredericksburg. Alfred hauled himself up the ladders, thrown into the empty moat, the final obstacle to victory. He was tired, no doubt, but the promise he’d once made to his people rang louder in his ears than any exhaustion could. There was no swinging of blades as he charged into the empty hall that once served as the helm of Richard’s Principality. Any semblance of a throne was long gone, with the majority of the enemy having mounted up and departed to circle the Keep in turn. The Duke found himself amongst his own ranks, spotting the Grand Prince Leon across the hall, a rather impressive, albeit internal, description of his counterpart crossing his mind. One who was unfaltering, if young perhaps, but most certainly not a coward. Some may acclaim him as rather unserious at times, but Alfred understood the wisdom that laid beneath his eyes, one able to truly guide the Reinmaren peoples seize their future. However, the siege had not yet ended. Despite the seizure of Fredericksburg, the Armies of Sir Gaspard still remained, armed to the teeth and brave beyond sense. They quickly returned to the walls, attempting to seize the courtyard that laid on the eastern side of the keep. They managed to mount the walls, seize the rooftops of Fredericksburg. Despite this, Covenant morale had only soared, and the men of the Coalition - donning tens of different colors - remained united under a singular proud banner. Their next order came, the final directive of the siege - to extinguish the last of the Veletzian presence in Fredericksburg through brute strength. Alfred had recuperated, and whilst wielding his Reinmaren Berserker Axe - hauled himself up a ladder, leading himself amongst the ranks of Veletzians. His heavy-headed Axe swung with ferocity - and it seemed, all around him, that the Coalition had practically wiped out any Veletzian resistance inside the walls. That was, until Alfred was in the side, with a mace - sending him tumbling from the Frederickburg's rooftops. His body remained stunned, sent falling from the walls of Fredericksburg. He’d assumed, inherently, that death came with his fall. But when his body hit the grass below, many other men fell around him - still stood. One of them - a Veletzian aristocrat - was masked beneath a bloodied surcoat and helm. Alfred, now on the cusp of falling limp, thrusted the dagger that previously lingered at his hip into the throat of his opponent. The man was left limp on the field, the stain of his own blood hardening on the Stassionite ground. The Duke of Reinmar made strength to drag himself back to the throne room of Fredericksburg before climbing the walls in a wounded stupor. He watched over the lands formerly belonging to Prince Richard, now having fallen under the dominion of the Covenant. “GOTT MIT UNS.”
  25. Alfred lifted his blade, readied to avenge Edmund's murder.
