Fantasy is on "earth" if you will, Mankind is led by an Emperor sigmar, sigmar dies and becomes god emperor. Orcs, Two types of undead, Skaven (rat people) Elves (two types? ) Chaos (human nomads all evil) giants and dwarves + other misc fantasy races, all on same planet.

40k is The Emperor of Mankind, he united the clans of earth, got rid of all of the non humans, magic doesn't exist just psychic powers, and now everything is in space. Emperor dies becomes god Emperor ...
