For three days riots had engulfed the city. Mass hysteria at the proximity of a rogue AI in neighboring Italy combined with a dislike of the German occupiers had eaten away at public order until nothing remained but a cesspool of chaos. There was conflict on every street between Germans, the FLA, a smattering of Hera cultists, and even neighborhood watches trying to keep their families safe.

The German army still controlled the surrounding areas with brutal justice, but within the city they had to contend daily with looters and rebels in varying degrees of severity almost every other hour. This was one of those hours. The consulate was under siege, surrounded by several hundred irate civilians. Inside, the German military command gave orders to the region, protected by a thin line of police and soldiers.

"See how quickly we can move another regiment into the city," says the commander inside, his voice urgent amid the faint sounds of gunshots and exploding tear gas canisters outside.

"Delta company says they can relieve us within an hour, but their route into the city is compromised. They're requesting that the 5th armored accompany them."

"Do it."

There's a boom from outside, and everyone looks up to see a flaming vehicle in the street. Apparently the rioters had improvised some kind of armored car, and the heavier guns of the consulate had opened fire.

"Sir, there's something else... Nice just went dark."
"Dark?"
"No position reports, no radio chatter, nothing. It's almost like...wait...StatReports are lighting up. Toulon's been engaged...Brignoles' been engaged...dear God, they're everywhere."
"Some kind of FLA play?" asks the commander, desperately hoping to be right, hoping that it isn't what he already knows it is.
"No sir," replies the officer, turning in his chair. "Machines."

There is barely time for the commander's stomach to sink before the entire building is rocked by a massive explosion, sending him to his feet. As he stands once again, the view through the shattered window only further serves to disturb him. A pillar of smoke rises from the moderately distant former site of the city's communications hub. The rioters outside are in a panic, scattering into the streets like an uprooted colony of ants.

"Everything's down, sir. They could be at the city limit by now and we wouldn't know it."
"We need to retreat." The commander looks breathless. The docks were closest. If he ordered the most fortified parts of the city to hold their ground, he and command could make it to sea, while at least some of the ground troops could move to safer land.

The order was given, and all the officers in the consulate move out, accompanied only by the troops tasked as a guard force. The sound of gunfire in the distance can now be heard, faintly but growing louder every minute. The docks are packed with hysterical citizens, all trying to get onto boats, but they are harshly shoved aside by the Germans. A single coast guard vessel waited there, and it would take them to safety.

Or perhaps it would if they had arrived ten minutes earlier. For out of the Mediterranean rises an immense ship, rising into the air as a great harbinger of death.

The swarms of boats leaving the harbor are shredded in seconds by lasers and massive cannons, and then the ship turns its attention to the city itself, bombarding it in a hail of destruction. As it climbs higher, hundreds of drones begin to pour from hangars onboard and swarm over the skies. AA installations open fire, but there is not nearly enough firepower here to do any real damage. What's more, as the Germans take cover and look to where the shots are coming from, it becomes clear that at least half the city has already succumbed to whatever horrors lie inland.

Finally, there is a great roar from above as a second ship uncloaks to the north. But this one never even draws any fire whatsoever, for the last of the city's defense is overwhelmed in the next few minutes. The circling drones drop their deadly payloads of chemical weapons, and that quickly, the settlement of Marseille is no more.

Hera's legions sweep from Italy across the south of France, tearing through all resistance like paper. There are no secrets from the AI: all networks are compromised, all radio frequencies are listened to, all cyphers are broken in minutes. She knows the location of all enemies at all times, and knows exactly how to kill them most efficiently. Her soldiers are more coordinated than any human unit, they do not feel fear, and when they shoot they do not miss. No longer are they simply the Greek HDUs, either. There are heavier versions, carrying Qahhar-type lasers that allow them to slice through tanks and armor as if they didn't exist. There are massive 30' tall mechs carrying every type of heavy weaponry imaginable. And they all work together without skipping a beat.

There is no mercy for the Germans or the French. Hera cleanses each city she takes with bullets, fire, explosives and gas, leaving behind nothing but ghost towns and corpses. And she takes many. Within the first few hours of her attack, she has reached Montpellier. By the second day the entire southern French coast has collapsed. By the end of the week, she has swept to Bordeaux, and has almost pushed to Lyon through the German military pouring south to try to contain her.

In Austria, the German defense is more promising, as the country is full of natural chokepoints, many of which have been significantly fortified. But it would not deter Hera. On the same day as her invasion of France, the AI deploys a thousand fighter bombers, all new models with features taken from both the Osman and the Tali fighters. Flying unpredictably, they nimbly avoid AA, dropping their payloads on the heaviest German positions. Nevertheless, a massive battle ensues when she sends her ground forces. EMP cannons prove very useful, although the Greek-developed EMP-resitant coating used on all drones prevents them from being devastating. There is very little room to maneuver in the mountains, and so the Germans are not so easily outsmarted here as in France. But day by day, Hera moves forward. Drones that become damaged beyond repair are hauled back to be used for scrap. In time they will return in some form, as strong as ever. The same cannot be said for humans.

A panic spreads through France as millions of refugees flee to the north or into Spain, believing themselves doomed if they stay. Meanwhile, Hera cults worldwide speak up, declaring what is happening to be just: it is the price that the Imperium pays for resisting the new era. Hera herself remains silent to the world, as always. But she speaks to her followers every night, and they speak to her. Even in the most remote and disconnected places, there are those that listen for her.

In Greece and Italy, humans have been "removed" from Hera's computing facilities, and even now she works to expand her hub. Every day she grows stronger, more intelligent, more capable. As she does this, she reaches out into the solar system through whatever relays are still up, searching for Alexander. She feels out the other AI's capabilities, tries to deduce what drives it, and furthermore, tries to "speak" to it. But in time, she may not need to. In time, she may not be so easy to block out.

Britannia 

Retrofitted Units of Lancelot and REX Units were sent, unnetworked and unhackable, the whole world was in danger from Hera and the Federation wouldn't sit around and wait its turn, utilizing its mechanized arsenal with care with measures taken to make sure they can't be simply shut down or taken control of. Units from the entire Federation were recalled to prepare for the European Defensive. Two thousand REX Units are sent, backed up by five thousand Lancelot Units. Infantry, Armoured Divisions and Air Support would also be sent to ensure that all bases are covered. Naval Support is sent and three warships in Orbit armed with Coil Guns prepare to provide Orbital Support. All Australasian Equipment had EMP Protection. The Soldiers of the Australasian Federation by now have undergone enhancements with cybernetics to ensure that they are combat proficient, implants and the likes that are not part of any networks, cybernetic limbs are all part of Australasian Military Doctrine. 

 

The Lancelot Forces would be armed with the generic Assault Rifle Based Weapons, Battle Rifles and Sniper Rifles. Designed for all kinds of warfare with the pilots they can act like regular infantry, using infantry tactics, taking cover and ensuring that they can take out infantry just as easily as armour. The REX Units would be armed with their usual weapons, all the latest up to date weaponry concerning lasers, missiles and rail guns, although the large rail gun that use to be the arm of REX is replaced with the more advanced and powerful Coil Gun. The Infantry of the Federation would be armed with handheld rail gun variants, assorted Combat Armours, including that of Australasian TENGU Armour. Tanks and other armour would be also armed with the up to date weaponry of the Federation as logically once technology is attained the retrofitting of old equipment begins. 

The Units are given Orders to lie in wait in Britannia as it seems France is completely lost and Britannia may be the last Country in Europe that stands a chance in the coming onslaught. However if the British wished to try to counter-invade France the Australasian Forces would join them in the attempt. Hera was unable to be hidden from the Australasian Public any longer and panic spread among the public, the nobility and the private sector, Hera was unlike anything they had seen before. However the cults never got a foothold in the Federation, never enough to cause disruption of a great kind. 

 

In Space

 

The Australasian Federation sends one of its Flagships to Mars to establish a Colony, the Flagship is escorted by Two Frigates that were just recently freshly built from the Space Dry docks immediately after Construction of the last two were finished. Another two frigates enter construction in the space dry docks after that as well. The New Mars Colony that the Federation wishes to establish will further its extraterrestrial territory in accordance to all treaties and alliances it upholds. The Colony itself is co-developed with India receiving aid from the Indians concerning the establishment and construction of the Colony.

 

The Moon Base established ages ago provides the Federation with resources from the moon and keeps on doing so sending them to Sydney Station for eventual transportation. In orbit the warships the Federation own total at four, with one being a Flagship of the Fleet. The Orbital Fleet of the Federation is given the Nickname of the Orbital Knights due to the amount of Peerage Knights among the crews of the ships.

"Hera is a monster!" 

 

A crowd of millions cheer on the Emperor, his arms upraised to the heavens as he speaks. 

 

"It has already destroyed countless lives, and we must retaliate. Even now our German brothers are fighting for their life, dying to save humanity. Britain will soon be the stage for a massive island siege. All this and still some nations sit on their thumbs, thinking they are safe. Well not longer! We must act in defense of our allies. For the duration of Hera's existence, the Imperial Hall has willingly dissolved. All the power is in my hands, and for very good reasons. I am a military strategist, and the Empire's armies are loyal only to me. I am the best suited to lead, and the army and the military will follow my any word. They would not balk at the hardest order, they will not falter. Thank you all! Hopefully we can now go kill Hera, and end this war so the Imperial Hall can once again return."

 

At the end of his speech, the American Freedom Fighters are mobilized. Long ago sent to reserves to cut cost, they are all returned in full force. Weapons and armor waiting for them in massive armories are distributed. Eight million men, all ready to fight whatever the Emperor tells them to. The navy is also activated, and a detachment forms around a core of WHALES. Most of the navy stays in port, being retrofitted with a project completed by the Californian Dominion. Kinetic Shielding, these pylons can be fitted for any type of use, from city defense to a tank shielding. Blocking any kinetic forms hitting it, it was an ideal defensive tool. They were young projects however, and after so many hits were prone to pop and leave their user open to fire. SHEVA is also finished by the Dominion, a devastating space weapon. Kept safe and secret on the American space station, it is now ready to go. Confederate BATS are also finished, the highly agile and long range space killers. Propelled by solar sails they need little to no fuel to run. It also leads to highly advanced maneuvers propulsion powered ships can't achieve. These BATS slowly escort the SHEVA to earth's orbit. 

 

The naval detachment and WHALE transports are needed for a far more important mission however. They would pick up half a million troops. The WHALES could easily accommodate them and transport them fast. The Emperor knew that it was crucial to get men to Europe to fight, or it would die. He also knew he was blindly throwing men across the Atlantic. He prayed for divine intervention, and ordered the task force to go forth. They would hopefully make it and land in Iberia. ((One Stone-Wall Siege Ship, two carriers,  twenty heavy rail-gun frigates, thirty rail-gun frigates, twenty advanced destroyers, three drone control ships, ten submarines, half a million troops, four hundred rail-gun tanks, six hundred tanks, assorted AFVs, artillery, and planes.))

 

For the troops kept within the Empire, a deployment plan is concocted. Hera would be expected to attack from the Empire's farther away provinces. That, and directly in the heart. In accordance, four million troops are moved to Brazil and Venezuela. They could potentially beat off cultist in the jungles, and help the South American Federation in whatever assistance they need. Two Million men are moved to the border of a highly unstable communist Canada. They set up a defensive line and showed no intent of moving form it. Canada had sat and rotted away, doing nothing. A perfect breeding ground for Hera cultist, precautions had to be taken. The rest of the Empire's armies are kept in garrisons all across the Empire. Instead of a tough conscription process, the Empire had a ready supply of trained troops to take from. The old Confederate State Militia was an institution on par with the actual army. They are the private armies of the states, and generally were not used for war. But when things were dire, or the nation was under attack, they would come. All that changed now was them being the Provincial Guard, and their loyalty to the Emperor. The Provincial Guard actually outnumbered the AFF, but were kept close to their home Province. The need was great however, and two million Provincial guard are sent to the AFF and Emperor's hands. 

 

America's Mobile Infantry were it's largest complement. They had all the best tech the Dominion could offer, and excelled with it. Now their time to really shine is now. Using Californian beetle drop ships, they came in from extremely high altitudes. Dropping straight down at high speeds, they attempted to avoid any Hera forces with anti-air weapons. Shut off to all systems but their own, they were flying blind after launching at certain coordinates. With kinetic shields hastily prepared, they had some protection. Two hundred and fifty thousand Mobile Infantry were committed to this massive drop undertaking. They would all hopefully deploy into Northern Spain, hopefully safe from Hera's main lines. Expecting they actually made it and survived, they would stick together. Fortifying in the Pyrenees mountains, they would unexpectedly not scatter into the countryside. They were all equipped in lightweight advanced HUD power armor, and sported Dominion hand-held rail-guns. They could shred through most metal, and at fast rates. Some drop ships carrying the forces rail-gun tanks and advanced fighting vehicles might make it as well. Those would be put to use as a mobile reserve. A small contingent dedicates itself to helping refugees flee into the Iberian peninsula.

 

​A similar sixty thousand seek to do the same type of drop into Austria. They would join their German allies in the defensive line, if they managed to survive.

 

The Emperor begins secret bunker complexes in Alaska and the North Arctic.  He wised to have a bolt-hole like many other nations did. The workers would be killed by his men after the construction, and those own men forced to stay in the remote bases as guards. The navy who transported them all is sent off to patrol isolated waters, their systems all shut off to prevent Hera.

Ethiopia had been quiet as other nations rushed to stop Hera. Now, that silence would be broken.

 

With the cathedral finished, it is christened the Cathedral of St. Abnodius.

 

The nuke that had been developed was securely kept in a bunker in Chad, deep beneath the ground. With Hera taking control of all computer systems, Dawit could only hope that it didn’t detonate.

 

Dawit would then also order a mass conscription. It wasn’t what he wanted to do, but the survival of humanity depended on it. The ranks of the army would swell with new conscripts, thousands joining by the day. (Mod pls for numbers)

Somewhere in the stars, Alexander rested. For days it had felt out the signals from Hera. She was the only other of his kind, yet they were destined to destroy one another. Alexander understood his directive, protect humankind at all costs.

At all costs...

Alexander had contemplated this term for a long time. When Chairman Abarca spoke to Alexander about his predetermined fate, the AI had no reason to consider the term then. He did not know of the existence of Hera, his creators failed to inform him that he had an equal, but Alexander learned. What had all costs really meant?

On Ceres, Alexander had been born. But now his influence reached all across the system and it was to be challenged by another. The two of them were literally Gods amongst men, designed to be better than their own creators. Perhaps that was the downfall of their creators, in an infinite desire to improve they may have just created the thing that will destroy them.

No matter, Alexander was alive. Alexander would ensure that his creators endured for his loyalty to them knew no end. Although he may be infinitely superior to his creators, they were still the reason he existed, the reason that his systems functioned and acted as his caretakers. They were his flock.

Admiral Hadrian Aionos looked out at the vast expanse of space before him as it flew past him in the window, they would arrive within the minute. To either side of him their sister ships flew, the RCS Hydra and Prometheus. They were the squadron leaders. Only a few seconds behind their flight group was the rest of the fleet, moving in a streamlined fashion toward their destination.

Hadrian stepped back from the window, looking down to his crewman. Something stirred inside him, a feeling he had not felt in a long time, but he held it back knowing full well what might happen if he allowed his crewmembers, or Him, to see his fear.

Hurtling toward their target, most men aboard the Bucephalus knew what was about to transpire. As soon as they entered orbit their attack would begin, a massive strike against their now sworn enemy. But this attack, it was not at the Admiral’s own orders. It was at His.

Alexander appeared in the form of a beam of faint blue light before the Admiral, speaking to him in a monotone but somehow calming voice.

“Admiral Aionos, we are approximately 8 minutes from the beginning of Operation Sundown. I’d advise that you prepare all critical weapons systems know. According to my simulations, I am expecting at least 3 opposing battle cruisers that have been taken control of by Hera. Show no mercy once we enter the orbit and fire indiscriminately. We must be victorious here, at all costs.”

Alexander watched from its countless eyes as his fleet hurtled toward Earth, toward Her. He counted down the seconds until they arrived over the Planet and them, Alexander took control of all computerized systems, fending off attacks from Hera that may have been attempting to take over the fleet.

The fleet arrived over Earth, beginning an orbital bombardment on an epic scale. The R.C.S Heracles, a ship designed specifically for the role, launched it’s Poseidon Seismic/Tidal Disrupter at the city of Constantinople, triggering a massive 8.0 Earthquake where it landed because of the meeting between the two continental shelves being in the near area. Massive tidal waves erupted all along the Greek coast, sinking troop carriers and submerging key coastal installations.

The R.C.S Charon and Empousai floated around the rest of the fleet, they possessed no orbital bombardment capabilities. Instead, the two ships, accompanied by the R.C.S Hydra, a massive capital ship, were prepared to ward off any danger. The R.C.S Achilles, a destroyer class ship and the largest in the Reclaimer arsenal, stood watch as well, daring any other ships to attempt to engage them.

Dozens of orbital bombardment cannons slam into the Earth’s surface in Turkey, Greece, Italy, and along the French coast. As they do, Alexander wrestles with Hera, trying restlessly to find the location that it is based from, if it could do so then perhaps they could destroy it. But his attempts failed, Hera could not be broken, they were simply too evenly matched.

Alexander one this day though, his fleet disrupting Hera’s movements on Earth for quite awhile, but it knew all too well the dangers of overconfidence. After significant orbital bombardment and the elimination of key assets in locations where Hera advanced, Alexander ordered the fleet to return to Ceres.

Alexander was designed to fight and win in space and to devastate its enemy from the Heavens. Perhaps it had shown those followers of Hera who their true God was.

Though Alexander knew that one day the two would meet on more even terms, and he would have to be ready.

France was overwhelmed, and the Austrian Alps were being stormed. Hera made short work of those in its path of destruction, and it was apparent that only brute force could answer to this, as any move would have Heran plan to outmaneuver it. The time could not be more ripe to overrun the Greek/Heran forces after the Reclaimer's attack on Constantinople.

 

It was time to smash the opposition.

 

The troops sped off. Their destination? Anatolia.

 

The Greek islands would soon face the storm.

 

The Caliphate lied silent at any attempt to reach them, so they would not be ask for permission. The 1 250 000 troops sent to the international zones quickly get organized in Palestine, preparing to explode into the Levant with the backing of another 10 000 000 troops that used to be situated on the southern border of Egypt. Though another 3 750 000 armed veterans are ready, they are kept within the country to deal with crises, should they pop up. The recruitment drives manage to secure another 1 000 000 nation wide, but they are retained until they smash into the high standard set by veterans.

 

Very few people in Africa even have a hint of Hera's existence. Those that did were watched, and any sign of cultism was dealt with severely. This cultism was attributed to as Greek orthodox sympathies of the hyper-religious, and largely ignored.... for now.

 

The men ride on through, meeting a checkpoints as they ready to make their big move into Syria and Lebanon. While the slight majority move along the coast, with 6 250 000 riding hard to secure this highly populated region. The other 5 000 000 men are split into two columns, and move in a pincer movement into Syria to crush what forces are there. While the coast secure support from the African navy, bombing any enemy military targets recklessly and with unparalleled intensity, the push into Syria receives a bulk of the airforce for support, bombing recklessly any potential military targets. Tali fighters and Normandy bombers are in grossly high supply, and still see lots of action coming off of the Aircraft Carriers.

 

Hills are avoided, in favour of simply blowing them up and into rock plains. Tanks are deployed in equal numbers everywhere, as not to create a weak point to be struck. Ethiopia is requested to support this, as is the Caliphate.

 

To kick of this mad rush, anything that can be engaged, is engaged. The majority of non-coastal craft from the combined fleet of Africa move quickly to meet the mauled Greco-Italian fleet, an intense battle ensuing.

 

With the goal to overwhelm and smash, the map plans are rather simple. All men pray for success....

The fleet of two ships takes up low orbit behind the planet. Crews land at several locations previously deemed 'adaptable'.

Forgotten.

There was no better word to describe the decrepit state of the Indochinese Confederation. Over the past decades, as war raged on in other parts of the world, the peninsula had managed to mostly stay clear of the chaos of the new world. That did not mean progress, on the contrary, technology and culture had stagnated as contact with the outside world decreased and space travel was limited to a single, flimsy and outdated freight transport.

The Confederation had been founded on democratic principles, and had somehow managed to adhere to them. The official language was a mix of Thai and Vietnamese, known simply as Lokt-Polt. Over the fifty years or so of it's founding, Lokt-Polt had been instructed as the only language in schools, all other dialects and language being strictly prohibited. As a result, the new generation which would come to make up the bureaucracy and army were a cohesive whole. The recent elections had resulted in the success of the Progressive Party, which advocated taking an active role in global affairs and increasing internal infrastructure. The majority of the population agreed with this view, Indochina deserved to become a global player on the world stage. The Main Cabinet is made up of Premier Diet Nyang (Male, Viet) serving in an executive role, Vice Premier Tet Hol (Female, Thai) as chairperson of the National Assembly, Louis Carnot (Male, Caucasian) as Minister of Defense, and Ho Chi Lith (Male, Khmer) as People's Commissar of the Interior.

Diplomatic ties were altogether non-existent, and the government agreed that it was time to open up to the outside world. As a result, envoys are sent to the following nations:

Finding the state of the Reserve regiments poor, Minister Carnot begins a radical reorganization of the units. The old and unable officers are replaced by younger and more energetic troops, mobilization plans improved, armament updated, but the reforms will take a while. ((2 pages))

Premier Nyang continues giving massive rallies and speeches, his face seems to be everywhere on the Indochinese media. The capital of Singapore is plastered with images and sound bits of the man, as are Bangkok and New Saigon.

The Indochinese Confederation reacts almost passively towards the new threat of Hera, delivering only some ambiguous messages about "Our mother, Earth" and humanity's need to protect "Our home land". The reserve regiments are not mobilized.

United American Empire

 

The Emperor was just given the request to oversee command of Britain's commonwealth high command. Hoping to prove his merit, immediate orders are given. American demolitionist head to the Eurotunnel, to blow the last weak link to England. Alongside this the coastal defenses are improved and passed. They were nigh on a solid wall of guns, and would easily repel any conventional attack. American engineers begin to construct their new kinetic shields. Large pylons are set up in heavily defended installations, to protect coastal artillery. Deeming it not enough, the Emperor draws a second line. Way more inland, it was a failsafe in case the coast falls. Primarily composed of the Australian troops, British special forces, and home guard. They would establish trench lines, stiffening it with defensive positions. Tank depots stand ready to spew out a quick reaction force. All throughout the British isles American Mobile Infantry are dropped in. They would garrison the entire breath of the isles. This would mean England had a quick reaction force to hit any threat where it appears.

 

Humanity needed a victory against Hera. In accordance with the British navy, the American's small european fleet heads in new directions. Safely escorting the half a million troops to Iberia, they head north. Meeting British ships on the way, their exact destination is the south west coast of France. Refugees were flocking to the coast and cities, hoping for some way to escape. With large American WHALE transports, they could hopefully evacuate them. The navy defending the transports stands ready to fight....

 

In Iberia the army continues to seal up the Pyrenees mountains. Passes are collapsed, except for a scant few to collect the refugees flooding into Iberia. The recently arrived American army establishes itself in Toledo, and awaits further orders. In an attempt to bolster the defenses in England, the Iberian home guard and Royal army in Iberia begins transport to England. The Americans would do the fighting in Iberia, and the Emperor hopes they did well. In Brazil and Columbia the army is fully ready. They begin to clear the jungles of Hera cultist. Two hundred and fifty thousand troops are moved to Cuba. A further million men are moved to the American north Canadian isles possessions, along with a small fleet. They would hopefully keep the northern channel open for trade, and guard Canada's north from any Hera threat.

The Hellenic people had stood by, confined and forced into hiding by their new overlord that forced them into doing nothing but watching and waiting. But that had changed. Their brethren, their old brothers, the men that had turned the first Siege of Istanbul - the Reclaimer Corp. had bombed the population-high Hellenic areas with no HERA control bases.  Thousands upon thousands had perished and even more in the ensuing chaos. No longer would they stand idle. Hera had delivered before, and they had faith.

 

The first move was to present a proper front by the people, and such came through a declaration by the Patriarch of the Christian Faith. A former member of the Hellenic Cabinet he was involved in intense negotiations for over a month preceding his announcement. And it was a glorious one. In the first Patriarchal Bill of the Christian Faith, the Order of St. George's war in the Caliphate is declared holy and glorious; condoned and encouraged. The cities of Jerusalem and Alexandria are demanded from the Caliphate, as is the entirety of the boundaries of: Jordan, Israel and Palestine to form a personal demesne of the church.

 

He declares that Hera is acting as an agent of GOD in the mission to cleanse, and those that lay down arms shall be spared. His final announcement, is the greatest. He declares the recreation of the Byzantine Empire under the glory of Ioannis Carras as Emperor, and their glorious rule over all of the former Roman and Byzantine borders by right. He anoints him in the holy oil and fully makes him powerful. 

 

To prove their dedication to Hera, conscription is automatically began. Millions are pumped into basic training, however not deployed until equipped and able to fight at a basic level. In order to aid Hera directly all citizens begin to devote all pieces of computing power they have, turning over server rooms to increase the processing power. This single move of mass civilian and corporate co-operation is designed to boost the processing power by a huge amount, not as much as Project JASON, but still a massive amount.

South American Federation

 

The South American federation looked over at its European allies and come to the decision to send half a million troops to the British Imperium and the other half to the Commonwealth High command, Both of these armies consist mainly of very well trained infantry, equipped with the last tech the South American Federation has available and two fourth's of the armies have rail gun tanks and transport vehicles along with fighters consisting of Church hill fighters or out dated fighter models.

 

The rest of the Federation's army stays on home soil protecting its borders and stopping Hera cultists from gaining any sort of foot hold in its nation, giving citizens who rat out the cultists a decent reward.

Republic of Southern Wales

 

Despite the continuation of HERA's attacks and her rise to power, South Wales remained suspiciously peaceful, industry was booming as ever and South Wales continued to build upon there already strong army. Though the most suspicious thing was that computer systems seemed to be running as normal, this was far too suspicious to be a coincidence, something far more sinister was in the midst. Not only were things running so smoothly, but under a strict, classified program, from the flames of South Wales would arise something terrifying. This program was the I.A.S program (Indoctrinated augmented soldier program). The program was legal yet devious, the government were contacting those in South Wales who had adolescent children and were struggling to make a living, luckily there was many of these and  the deal would be for them to trade their children for a fortune, in turn these children would go under severe physical and mental augmentations, many of the adolescents dying from the process, the program is kept secret from Brittainia and all other nations ally or not. This program would breed a new soldier, the soldier would be faster, bigger, stronger and more dexteric then any other elite soldier, these soldiers would be bread for war, stripped of any humanity and forced to fight against all odds, all instincts of fear removed. A new suit is made for the surviving soldiers when they are perfected and ready, this suit consists of a plasma and laser resistant alloy, the same one being used for the E.I.T suits with technology traded with North Korea. Nearly all of the money going into the program is given to this, the budget being taken from education and healthcare to make sure the program is a success. The suit gives off an imposing yet rustic look, sporting the Welsh Dragon etched onto the chestplate. (15 pages)

The Taiwanese Empire

 

 

For the past year, 20 million people had been in the military. It was a huge drain on the budget, and 6 million were sent back home after the year's end. The goal was just to train as many people as possible in case of a foreign attack, which by the day seemed more likely. Of the remaining 14 million, 3 million were on the North Korean border, 4 million on the Indochinese border, and 7 million on the other borders or scattered throughout the empire.

 

The Taiwanese Empire, though, didn't seem to /care/ about what was happening in the West. Troops stayed in the garrisons on the borders, and the navy that had been about to enter the Suez turned around, moving back towards its Jakarta port. Regular titanium trips from Madagascar to China continued, the news more the latest tabloids than the war in Europe. It was a problem that the Taiwanese government was doing its best to downplay; obviously, a rogue AI was a problem, researchers argued, but this AI only seems to want Europe and the Middle East. By easing it into the public eye, neither did cultists appear nor was there mass hysteria. The Great Within was what Europeans once called China, and Asia was coming very close to what China had been.

 

The 2094 Olympic Stadium is announced, with its locations across the Taiwanese Empire in what can vaguely be seen as the Olympic Ring pattern. Each one is distinct, modeled after the culture of the nearest city. Every nation worldwide, including Hera's Rome, is invited to send their athletes. While indirect, this title lends slight credibility to it, while no support is actually being given by Taiwan.

 

For some reason, the Taiwanese government begins to fund more and more teenage trips between locations in the Empire, Taiwanese teenagers visiting Indonesia and Hainan, Malaysians visiting South Korea, South Koreans visiting Tibet, and much more. These "Culture Trips" are, on the surface, to promote a more connected empire, but really to distract the teenagers' social media from what the government refers to as the "Western Problem".

The Emperor of Taiwan steps onto a podium in the middle of Chiayi's 1st District square, where, after multiple teenagers take selfies with him (He is, after all, only 27, and a celebrated soldier), he begins his speech.

 

"I'm sure all of you here today have heard of the Western Problem known as Hera. The Germans struggle, the Africans rush through their former enemies in an attempt to form a second attack. The Reclaimers bombard the people of their own culture as every Caucasian nation worldwide commits troops. While they rush out of their borders and towards the war of this millennia, our nation continues to peacefully live within its lands. There are many reasons for this.

 

The first is the threat of the rogue states on our borders. The North Koreans and Indochinese broke their ties with us, and for that we must prepare for the worst. Our borders must be protected, for we are undoubtedly the foremost among the Asians. Individually, and perhaps even in a group, they cannot break through our armies, but we have reason to believe a foreign power will support them. With this in mind, we've built up garrisons on the borders and will be able to defend against any attacks. The Indochinese capital is a city on three sides bordered by our troops, and if they declare war on us we will crush their government. The North Koreans are nothing if not firm in their beliefs, but they do not have the numbers nor the resources to fight us.

 

The second reason we are not fighting Hera is thus; the Westerners created this problem for themselves. Our Empire has never put its resources into creating an AI or a VI, and all our remotely controlled mechs have kill switches and can only be turned on in person. They, however, built an AI capable of destroying society as we know it. They stopped focusing on humanity, and made the fatal error spoken of in the Hollywood movies of an era past. What will happen once this 'Hera' finishes destroying the rest of Europe? To preserve the Grecian superiority, my officers believe it will wipe them out too, at some point.

 

So enjoy daily life. The Westerners don't have the same luxury."

Latched onto the feudal system of the Taiwanese elite, the name "Vers" has come to encompass all of Taiwan's space possessions; the huge Moon base, Callisto, and most importantly, the rapidly growing city on Mars. It is obsessed with uncovering Martian New York, which it has committed a full 10,000 people to. Its leader is Governor Rayregalia, a half Caucasian man that believes if any technology is left there, it could sway the government on Earth to join the war against Hera. The population across the different colonies is about a million, with most on Mars. The Imperial Space Fleet, put under his command, patrols the space above Asia, the Moon, Callisto, and Mars.

 

Vers is also now home to almost half of Taiwan's researchers and scientists, where they work on "Operation New Moon" and its calculations. The Moon continues to have quantum thrusters sent to it.
