Issued by Varon of the House of Kovachev, 1717.

I, Varon Kovachev, Duke of Carnatia, Lord of the Stones, issue the following missive to the Highlander peoples of Haense and Adria.

I condemn the crown of Hanseti-Ruska for their treasonous activities. The false-King Marius who broke his house’s - and his - ancient oaths to the descendants of Aurelius and His Imperial Majesty, Godfrey III by aiding with this Marnanite Rebellion. His actions have disgraced the name of our people and destroyed our reputation as loyal and honest men; his name upon the Nenzing Proclamation reminds us all of broken oaths and a disrespect of promises made in the presence of the Lord. Marius isn’t half the man his father was.

This is not the first of his sins. Not only did he abide by the murder of his own vassals but he also shamed and disrespected the House of Kovachev - ancient vassals of his forefathers who have never once broken their oaths - by stripping them of their titles. These titles, held in perpetuity and by previous generations for decades, which he granted to himself with all the avarice of a rich, grasping merchant and none of the dignity which is expected of a King.

I will stay true to the Lord and abide by my ancient oaths of fealty, serving the Imperium Renatum under Godfrey III. I pledge my blade to his service, along with that of my people, for it is he who remains true as the heir to the Empire and it is to him my forefathers owed fealty to, through the Kingdom which I love. I was born in Renatus, not Haense, and join this with my proud Highlander heritage, to celebrate the unity of Man which was once rejoiced; I cannot draw it within myself to fight men who raised me, both in Renatus and Haense, and will only do battle against traitors who commit treason of the highest order against the Imperium.

I shall support the deposition of the treasonous folk who plague the halls of Reza, lending my blade to the claim of`John Alexander and Godfrey III as ultimate sovereign of these lands as the heir to Antonius.

This war is a failed endeavour, condemned by true men. Honourable Highlanders - of which there are many - should take no place within a rebellion against the rightful Crown. I plead with my people to join my House in this fight for honour and justice. I have not come to this decision easily, aided only by calm deliberation, but will fight alongside my dear uncle, Ser Carlovac who lends his aid to this righteous cause.

IN NOMINE DEI

HIS IMPERIAL MAJESTY, Godfrey III of the House of Horen, Emperor of the Imperium Renatum, King of Renatus, Marna, Haense, Mardon, Salvus, Seventis, Savoy, Courland, Santegia, and Kaz’Ulrah, Prince of Ves, Duke of the Crownlands, Adria, Avar, and Frederica, Count of Helena, Alamar, Frederica, Thesmer, Thelen, Lorath, and Cantal, Baron of Darkwood, Gravelhold, Fidei Defensor, Protector of the Heartlanders, Highlanders, Farfolk, etcetera

HIS GRACE, Varon I of the House of Kovachev, Duke of Carnatia, Count of Kvaz, Turov and Kovachgrad, Baron of Valwyk and Venzia, Lord of the Stones

“Are you retarded? You literally Disappeared for a decade without a word, no notice nothing refused to respond to any letters sent to you, refused to explain where and why you didn't respond. You then proceeded to strong-arm the king in his own court whining like a child and even THEN, King Marius gave you the chance to earn it back if you show you are worthy. And so you pledge your allegiance to a false Emperor..... Are you stupid?”

Mutters Henry after he watched the absolute  joke that was Varons childish attempt to get back land he didn't deserve.

“He acts like Josephine,” Francesca would comment to her father, Emperor Joseph, “And she isn’t even ten yet!” She’d toss the parchment into the hearth as he continued passing her further letters and missives to read and organize for him.

“So everyone is aware, he came to Court in Reza, asking for land and such. He was declined as he had no men with him. He even said he understands. What you see here is, this man is didn’t get what he wanted so he throws a tantrum” says Siegmund

Vessian psychologists study this ongoing phenomena of delayed declarations of any fealty, the implications some such that whence discovered, shed greater light upon the declaration and the point it was produced from.

”Ah, no wonder he has been so silent for so long – this man has no sense of loyalty, but a heightened sense of opportunity. Perhaps he can leverage this title he has yet to make use of to garner a claim in Haense he would not otherwise have gained or earned?” At this, students would hmm and hah and the realization or self deliberation of the possibilities!

“Wise play, some may say... Scholars ought to look deeply into the Haenseni title bloat and start doing away with these overblown status’ soon, before a notable vassal manages to slip away without the League of Joseph’s knowing!”

Lorelle laughs. “My GOD, what my family has reduced to is pathetic.. not to mention this mans grandmother is mere peasantry blood.. Antoine de Reden; daughter of a ***** baseborn and irrelevant man of common blood. Not much of a loss considering he is false Kovachev.”

Ser Henrik sat upon in his chair in his manor as he’d is a notified of the news of his dear old friend Varon.

“All of this because you left for twenty years to come back asking for your Duchy back. Should have stayed and proved you are willing to stay and fight for the title like one of your great grandparents, Sergei Kovachev. My how you have destroyed the meaning of being a Kovachev.”

Ser Ulric Vyronov heard the news from Alfrid Tiberan that the Kovachevs had betrayed Haense and Adria because he didn’t get land that he clearly didn’t deserve.. Alfrid Tiberan replied, “My Great Grandfather, Ser Ulric Tiberan the Second is rolling in his grave at this moment.. I am sick to my stomach to hear this treacherous, deceiving, treasoness and pathetic Kovachev make a poor mistake on the Kovachev name..” Ser Ulric couldn’t believe from the flyer that was just handed to him. The Young Knight looked at the flyer with a devilish grin and said to Alfrid Tiberan, “Another person on my ‘to kill’ list. I will make sure this sorry for an excuse Kovachev’s head will be served on a platter at the next Court.. This is for King Marius and Emperor Joseph.. Mark my words,” said the furious Young Knight.
