EMERALD NEVER BREAKS

Cunimund sat upon a nondescript stone bench before a fork in the ethereal road. One led towards the mezzanine ascending, that of the Seven Skies, & the other led towards a gilded chasm-gate; the Dwedmar's Halls. The corporeal form of Garedyn approached the fork; Cunimund spied him out of the corner of his eye as he worked on his ten-thousandth tome. A magnum opus, one of many.

"Mine kinsman Gaisorix and his son Brennus bid you whole health Garedyn, the Cingedoz remember you in the former years of Vistulia! They play a dirge on their carnyx in the lowly life, yet bugle triumph for your arrival in this greater life!"

An elfess weaped, she had been there...the moment he drew his final breath how he shoved them all away from the danger using magic...and her trying to run to do something...something to save him, and the gutt wrenching feeling as the golem fell into the magma taking him down with it. She had to be dragged away from the cavern before it shut them all in...eventually she sat alone looking into the air. "Rest well Garedyn...I am...sorry.."

A roar, followed by the sounds of a hammer would be heard from a lonely mountain as the news of the king's death reached the ally turned enemy of the late King. "O' Garedyn, yeh went loike yeh came tu us, braveh beyond compareh. . ."

10 hours ago, Terry said:

Once told of the news by his wife

Ealisaid fretted.

For some time, the duo had remained distant from the realm of Urguan. For reasons their own, they had parted ways from the nation, and left their daughter, Roseen, in Garedyns care. Never did she imagine, that his passing would come so soon.

"Ulf," she began to her husband, as he lay sickly in bed, "Garedyn's gone- dead-"

Tears streamed from the womans eyes then, as she spoke the truth outloud. "'E did so much. Might'a ne agreed wit' him sometimes bu', he's done so much for 'is time. Th' littl'ones, his an' Roseen, wha' they goin' ta do wit'out him?"

She paused to tend to Ulfric, ensuring he remained comfortable whilst they shared the sad moment, "Ah 'ave regrets ah ne supportin' him when ah should. Wha' a strong Clan fath'r an' Gran' King 'e was."

Rest Well, Garedyn.

Spoiler

Still remember getting a PM from you, asking if I wanted to make a second persona to play a dwarf. You and Garedyn introduced us to Urguan and what turned into probably a year of one of my most fun characters. So thank you, Royal.

Rest well, Garedyn. Elly will see you soon.

Khazaefron hears the news of the death of his friend. Solemnly he would reject the idea of sorrow for his death.

"A great forest dwed died todeh, bat a legend that will be carried by our folk for centuries will remain. May ye watch weth Bjor and all that otha fallen high chiefs as our folk prosper. Hefrumm will nevah forget as long as et stands, and Hefrumm  will nevah diem"

ASketil would think of his memories with Garedyn "he Wes like a fatha to meh. Ah will nevah forget all he ded fer me and 'ow 'e raised meh to be."

Mao would look saddened at it all "a dwed's life cut short too early...we take solace en knowing tha 'es deeds were great and tha thanks to 'es actions tha maneh outlanders changed much ef their waes en relation to es. Bless be tha Green. Et seems like yesterday tha we ferst met en tha pirate island"

Karl would sternly look upon the moon wondering when he will be welcome to the halls of the Brathmordakin "Ah nevah got to talk to ye lad...A' 'ope one day A' will get tha chance...all tha 'igh chiefs ef old sitting en presence ef tha Brathmordakin telling our tales and looking upon the results ef our labors... A' cannot wait fer that day."

Dhaen did not weep nor send her saddened regards.

She recalled Garedyn in his first footsteps upon Urguani soil, fresh faced and eager to find purpose. He had built a family, a clan, not just joining Urguan, but becoming the very heart of it. She recalled his rise, his glory, and the bringing of peace under his reign.

No. Dhaen did not grieve. There is no shame in living a good life.

"Green is what is left when ardor fades, when passion dies, when we die, too.

When you go, your footprints will fill with grass.

Moss shall cover your tombstone,

and as the sun rises, green shall spread over all,

in all its shades and hues."
