xo31 560 Popular Post Share Posted February 15 [!] Missives are stuck everywhere in cities over Aevos at the dead of night. A ridiculous amount of them. How did one get in my pillowcase? [!] WRITTEN TO THE LIGHTENERS OF AEVOS. THE END IS NEAR. Lightener = Those who are imperatively good, with pure intentions for the overall world. Or, at the very least, bad people who keep to themselves without harming others, or Creation on an unrepairable scale. Darkener = Those who are imperatively bad, with bad intentions to the overall world. Those who practice the dark arts and who murder and harm the weak and fair. To every Orc, Human, Elf, Dwarf, Halfling, Kha, Musin, Untainted Construct, Goblin, Epiphyte, and those of pure souls, I write to you. I am a man who needs no name, nor no introduction, as it does not matter exactly what, or who, I am. I practice no dark magics, I follow no religion, though I grew up a Canonist, and still hold good respect for the true religion of Canonism, not the trash that it has become. The end is near. My reason for writing such a thing out? Look around you. Gashadokuro, the Inferi of the recently demolished Hallowcliffe, the DARKENERS, infest every corner of our good world. Take a look at the attempts at convincing you the Darkneners have orchestrated. Banned Druidism, Paladinism, and Shamanism, three magics that, despite not following Canonist law to a pinpoint, are imperative to stopping the Darkeners of our world. Let it be clear- I do not accuse Canonists of being Darkeners, but, I suspect Darkeners must have had some play in the banning of these magics. The end is near. I write this because now, more than ever, the Darkeners of our world are able to hide in plain sight. Your friends, your family, your wife, husband, children, King, Queen, are equally as likely to be evil as any stranger. Trust who you can trust. A large majority of modern Darkeners will pass a ‘Darkspawn’ test, using Aurum or Salt. A good way of circumventing this is using aforementioned magics, such as Paladinism or Shamanism. I am uninformed upon Druidism. The end is near. What Kingdoms do I write about? They shall be listed below, the ones who I confirm, FACTUALLY, have Darkener influence upon them. If you investigate, and find nothing, try again.-Haense, though, it is of my belief King Aleksandr is a Lightener. I’m yet to investigate further. Queen Amaya is confirmed to be a Lightener, though, is victim to manipulation from Darkeners, as all Lighteners are. -Hohkmat, and by extension, Petra. Hohkmat is good in theory, but terrible in practice. The Binder of Fates, Razad, purposefully pits his Magisters against each other in a game for some enjoyment beyond my awareness. This has led to some Magisters taking up arts further than the Void. -Celia’nor. Celia’nor is of extreme taint, in my studies. Majority of Celia’nor government agents are likely dabbling in arts worse than the Void. The recent bounties to come from it are, from what I can tell, blatant falsities. It is heavily likely that Darkeners infiltrate most other governments including Aaun, Krugmar, Balian, The Silver State, the Serene State, and more, though, unconfirmed. Places that, of my opinion, are moderately non-infiltrated of Darkeners are: NorlandRah’tumaSakuragakureThe Merchant Vassal of Kaethul (Though caution is suggested.) UrguanVikelaVortice MY FINAL MESSAGE TO THE LIGHTENERS OF AEVOS:HOLD YOUR TRUSTED, LOVED ONES CLOSE.CRY TO YOUR GOVERNMENTS TO CLEANSE THEMSELVES.AND PRAY TO THE CREATOR, GOD. SAVE YOUR BATTLES AGAINST OTHER LIGHTENERS FOR AFTER THE DARK HAS BEEN CLEANSED. -The Scholar Spoiler everything stated here was learned by my character, Arthur, ICly. None of this information went unlearned by Arthur. If you believe there to be metagamed information here, then it was likely told to Arthur by a metagamer, unbeknownst to my knowledge. If there is concerns, contact me at xo31 on discord - please do not metagame that my character wrote this missive. it is unlikely but possible for anyone to know who wrote this. o7 :)

JudgedKitty 200 Share Posted February 15 Chi Kagura Hope Strohiem literally was there when the mystery person wrote this missive. Pages of missives somehow came into her and her husband home. "YOU LITERALLY WROTE THE MISSIVE LAST NIGHT! HOW DID ALL OF THIS GET INTO MY HOME!"The woman yelled as she sweeps the papers outside the door. Fighting the missives itself. Hopefully her husband can help clean this up with her.
Haseroth 963 Share Posted February 15 A herzlandi youth sat at a cozy desk chair, a candle light besides him as he read the missive. A tall old man stood behind him, reading over his shoulders. The youth smiled towards the bottom then spoke "They're right about at least one thing." Finally, the youth tossed the missive aside, focusing on an increasingly large list of names. The youth began to continue inscribing names unto it while the old man watched.
BakedPotato 415 Share Posted February 15 An inferi gripped the paper in a clawed hand, the missive scrunching do to how tightly she held to it. Cackles rang out from her, "Darkeners and lighteners? What silly little terms these mortals make."Translucent flames appeared on the top of her head like a crown as she pointed a finger at the paper, shooting flames at it before tossing it to the ground, letting it turn to nothing more than ash.
UniBearse 747 Share Posted February 15 An elfess found her mailbox to be filled with missives and the cracks of her door seemed to have been stuck with the same paper. she took one to read and was able to realize who this was from. Luthien felt a sense of worry but thought that it was too late for regrets.
Cheese 2591 Share Posted February 15 Juniper, despite meditating in a cave somewhere, somehow also finds a copy of the missive. Truly, it is a phenomenon (and maybe a waste of paper to have printed so many.) She groans after reading it over, burying her head in her hands for a few minutes as she contemplated, before taking a deep breath and resuming her focus. This was to be a problem for another day.
sam33497 3223 Share Posted February 15 "It is far too late." declared the foul undead sorcerer Az'rekash. "Legions of undeath will crawl through the gates of Oblivion, and Aevos will be lost."
Punished_Pup 1392 Share Posted February 15 "Surely them being given the moniker The Scholar is a grand jest, given they were unable to read through the Celia'norian records and deduce that a 'Jylie' is not an official Representative of the Celia'nor Government." A Wanderer remarks "More idiots blabbing on and complaining because they're incapable of any meaningful action, I hope they're swallowed by the Chaos that is unleashed upon the word." She then puts on some googles over her eyes, as she goes back to Alchemy in a private location

Sir Stanton Stroheim would pick up any of the papers Chi had missed during her clean up, shoving a handful of them into the hearth-fire before turning to his wife "Don't just sweep zhem outside! Zhat's littering!"
Sparkpowder 63 Share Posted February 15 Julian Bird-Watcher skims over the document. He gives a light shrug. Descendant's work didn't cease to surprise him but surely he wasn't moving out of Norland.

MrMojoMordor 579 Share Posted February 15 "EA KNEW IT! VE MONSTERS HUNTIN' MEA ARE VE WORK O'DARKENERS!" The Old Fisherman exclaimed from his hut - before turning putting on a heap of jewelry on his neck, rubbing garlic under his armpits and nods and kneels down to his little altar made for every single god and spirit in Aveos to pray that the water-creatures coming after him won't grow legs to walk.

SteppeNomad 1552 Share Posted February 15 "Praise PURITY. Praise HOLY FIRE. Everyone who dares spread it does the work of the betrayer. Know this and know this well. There are THREE WAYS to purge the impure. Owyn's Mercy The Banishment of the Curse of Iblees The Pure Waters of the Sacred Pool... Do NOT deny them. For all darkness will be cast away in a sword ablaze. That is the mercy of the OWYNSSIAH..." The mechpriest adeptus, caught in some vortex prayed for a release to serve his parish well.
