DancingZebra267 397 Share Posted April 9 Gerard nods thoughtfully as he reads the missive. "This is a wise decision," he remarks, recognizing the practicality of the proposed action. "Not only will it make it easier for us to identify these evildoers, but it also raises questions about why anyone would wish to alter what GOD has gifted them," he muses, "I anticipate that the Order of Saint Jude augurs will be quite busy in the days ahead."
AstriaS 3743 Share Posted April 9 Tar-Caraneth Aryantë, who had no particular horse in this race but happened to be feeling mildly contrarian at the time, gave a mild frown and a squint. "This seems like a bit of a wasted effort - surely there are better things to be doing than going around checking everyone's skin just to find one Warlock for every hundred or more completely mundane skin-drawings... Bah. Sure, whatever I guess."

MadOne 3456 Author Share Posted April 9 22 minutes ago, Javert said: "I...What? Just, what?" Harald Eiriksson Ruric said as he read the Canonist missive from his home in Norland. He didn't even have a snarky remark per usual, he was just straight up confused by this decision. Meanwhile, a zealous Skanarri man by the name of Halfdan prepared to go get his skin inked purely to spite the Southerners. He then proceeded to go on a 5 hour rant about the Canonist church, which was likely very irritating to his fellow Skanarri. @DeadraSlayer@TheShinyHodzic @Pegleg_Bob @Zqppy Pontiff Caius, within his usual travels to Norland stared towards both Harald and Halfdan blankly as they frothed at the mouth and tried to be relevant in matters of Canonist faith. He points to the missive for them to gaze upon "It says people of Canonist Creed, folks. . . OF CANONIST CREED. I don't care about you having tattoos if you are an Elf or Norlandic pagan!"@Javert

He blinked at the Pontiff - perhaps he was mistaking him for someone else? Nonetheless, he shrugged and went about his day. "That was...an incredibly interesting experience." Halfdan on the other hand, who was not a Norlander nor even lived in Norland, heard none of this. He was too busy seething over Canonists in his tent alongside his Nomadic Skanarri comrades, as zealous priests do. Even so, given his...less than enthusiastic nature towards Canonists, he probably would've tried to cut the Pontiff's throat had he been in his vicinity.

Gwenyth stared to the missive set on her desk, a hand held over her mouth as she stifled her laughter. “Oh mea god, this is the dumbest thing Ea’ve seen in ages. Doll, look at this!” She fully broke out into laughter as she passed the missive to her husband @Harald "They have done what? why... I love the tattoos..." the Duke pouted a little as he was finishing up the dinner for the family.. The food leaving the oven as he put in some cookies instead filling up the fireplace with another log "Could they not rather just test those with ink rather than ban it? These marks have become a staple of our culture.." Johan then shook his head trying to look over his shoulder towards his large eagle tattoo....

Wavey 1449 Share Posted April 10 Ivan scratched his head upon reading the decree. "Although I understand the numerosity of ibleesian cultists and sympathizers donning tattoos upon their bodies...I fear a sudden knee-jerk reaction in banning all forms of tattoos proves more harm than good in culling fears from the faithful populace." The Ruthern let out a sigh as he set the paper down, "His Holiness had good intentions...but at what point does fear conflict with the sanctity of faith and safety of our flock? There are some faithful members of our Canon flock who adorn religious tattoos, ink, and henna revering our faith and the scrolls. The necessity of the preseverence of our faith in conjunction with the respect of local cultures is imperative to promote virtue. Fearing the unknown and letting such govern our decisions only weakens our willpower." He then knelt before his bedside as he clasped his hands together, "I pray that our innocent members of the Canon flock need not be persecuted out of overzealous and irrational fear of the ink."
oryP 1000 Share Posted April 10 Ser Demetrius squinted his eyes at the missive, before putting on reading glasses. “That can niet be right, can it?” He pushed his glasses down to rub his eyes before lifting them once more. “His Holiness jest blessed by the Aengul of Courage, surely their jest nie day that boring that he must ban tattoos.” He’d state, from the safety of his own home, he feared the wandering pontiff look alike would find him too. @Javert

Onnensr 601 Share Posted April 10 Father Nerium sighed with delight, for now that the sieve was made it would be all the easier for him to select to wed a good and righteous woman of darkly countenance -- described as 'goths' in elvish lands -- who yet also maintain the most upright and reverent faith. For too long has it been a challenge to divide wheat from chaff, evil and looks evil. Now those of clear skinsuit may stand out as the lighthouse upon misty waters, and he may thus all the more effortlessly find one who can scare villains away from him with their soot-blackened eyes and baleful words, bereft of unholy markings.
