To create an economy, people will need to have money. I think through mob drops (not too much of course) will be the best way to do this.

So, mobs will drop items as well as minas? I sort of missed pigmen dropping chain pants.

Okay. This update is irrelevant to me because there's nothing worth buying. Mining is not profitable, there's no red-stone to be had, and not a diamond to be found on this island. But that's just me feel free to disagree at any time.

But it's the only way most people make money. And that "well then they should start selling things, then" argument doesn't work. Not everybody can be a merchant. A lot of the reason our island is completely hollow is because players need to mine to achieve any wealth at all.

I realize that people will grind mobs to get money, but you're never going to get rid of grinding. It just takes on different forms. Mines, for example, are much more numerous now than they were before, for the reason stated above. It's just another form of grinding. This problem could also be fixed by removing all mines but for the ones in certain locations. But then, the normal player would have such a ridiculously small income that they would probably just resort to the bartering system. And if we're doing that, then what's the point of having money at all?

Are all the animals reset? I'm finding that hostile mobs spawn at a ludicrous rate, but passive mobs don't spawn at all; and since all the cows (bar 1) over 5 different enclosures have disappeared since updating MC, I am wondering if we can just modreq some back in. Seen as it was a hell of a lot of work to get them in the first time, and even the hidden ones have disappeared, so it doesn't look like other players killing all 30-ish of them.

I support having a finite amount of money total and no mob drops. 5-10 million minas total on the entire server and have it divided up between nation leaders equally would work very well. There would be trickle down and the price of items would be low because the value of the minas would be high. Paying someone 5 minas for work would actually be significant because the minas actually has value. This would also encourage item haggling and not just pure money exchange. There could also be occasional minting of new money as well to simulate a rising and falling economy.

Yippee! Money dropping again I can hunt now for money! Thanks a lot. You guys should definity add the stat system again. It was so much fun because it forced everyone to increase Role Playing. I believe 100% in this plugin.

But I will be happy to see the mobs with money 
