  1. I second this. If someone has already given you their stuff AND has agreed to SS away, DON’T FORCE THEM TO D20. Just take the win and loot with grace, don’t be a jerk. It’ll make the CRP environment so much healthier instead of stress-inducing for all parties involved.
  2. I have the same feelings as a lot of people in the comments here: 1. LOTC is a ROLEPLAY server first and foremost, PVP imo is useful in large-scale conflicts where emotes can be lost easily. Though if you want to consistently get into PVP, there are other servers meant for that exact reason. 2. Since LOTC is a ROLEPLAY server, there is a certain standard in combat roleplay we can all agree with and that standard is above the "I stab you in the heart"-like emotes two or three minutes into a fight or tanking hits.
  3. A missive would be brought to the Master Alchemist of Reinmar, Klaus von Berkhoven. Upon finishing the missive, his hand wrapped around the parchment as he began to pace around as a million thoughts began to race in his head: Klaus remembered meeting the Ritter as a young child, watching him grow up under the care of the then-Duke of Reinmar, saw the excitement in the young Barclay’s eyes as he told him about his knighting ceremony, then years later hearing from the man that he now had children… “His kinter…” Klaus brought a hand over his chest, as he signed the Lorraine Cross with it. The Alchemist’s sorrow then became anger, he would then bring his face into his hands. “Ich have failed mein duty to protect du, Leutwin, Ich will kill every last Veletzer that gets in our way.” He murmured, then his heart broke as he had to break the news to his wife, her heart would be absolutely shattered, which caused Klaus to cry. Within his room, Albrecht Barclay received the missive of his cousin’s passing. He had not gotten to known Leutwin personally, but he was family and the Barclay began to cry. After some time, Albrecht signed the Lorraine across his chest. “May du fly in the Seven Skies, Cousin Leutwin.”
  4. Chronicles of the Reinmaren The Siege of Fredericksburg Issued by the HAUPTMANN OF REINMAR On this 17th day of Tobias’ Bounty in the Year of our Lord 1959 To The Reinmaren People: On this day, a force of Reinmar Horsemen rode down to the steps of the fortified keep of House von Theonus with the Grand Covenant against the forces of Veletz and their allies. The action started with a devastating Covenant volley of cannon fire, trebuchet, and arcane power directed at the enemy’s own siege weaponry and their meager fortifications of dirt and stone. The Reinmaren Warband, standing five-hundred strong and led by His Serene Highness Leon Barclay and His Princely Grace Alfred Barclay, descended from the Coalition’s fort and stormed the throne room of Castle Aurelian with the rest of our holy host. Those of the green and blue held the throne and courtyard captive as scouts called out the positions of the enemy. As the throne room and courtyard was completely within Covenant control, our pious band, prayed over and assisted by the Prince-Emeritus and Cardinal of Albarosa, and the Coalition’s own cavalry drove the Horde of the Anathema into a befuddled frenzy and routed them. All but ten cowardly men were slain, those surviving ran as the bodies of their brothers and sisters-in-arms laid scattered among the rubble of the Stassionite keep and surrounding hills. After everything was said and done, victory was taken in hand with the raising of our banner and a cheer, echoed by the Reinmaren Warband before riding back home to live and celebrate another blessed day. Saint Edmond, as my brothers go to battle over the coming years, grant them fortitude and protect them. Pray for GOD to show mercy to the dead, and that in hoping for victory today, we may win the peace tomorrow. GOTT MIT UNS, Hauptmann of Reinmar Meyster Alchimist of Reinmar
  5. I second these, being able to exchange carpets and the glass/colored types would be amazing! I second these, being able to exchange carpets and the glass/colored types would be amazing! I second these, being able to exchange carpets and the glass/colored types would be amazing!
  6. “WER RASTET, DER ROSTET!” The Meyster Alchimist von Reinmar, Klaus von Berkhoven, called back to Gottfried! He would then look to the host of Reinmaren horsemen that he had led into this fight alongside Olaf von Reinmar (@Liokv). “WIR MARCHEN UND WIR KAMPFEN!”
  7. As his pike found its point within the chest of the last Veletzian in his sight for miles, the Master Alchemist of Reinmar, Klaus von Berkhoven, would take in the sight of even the Balian hippopotamuses assisting the leal soldiers of the Grand Covenant. “Truly GOTT is on our side!” The Berkhoven called as he commandeered an abandoned and stubborn horse, riding off with allied forces. “THIS IS OUR PEACE!” He shouted the coined phrase of the largest combined force seen by Descendantkind.
  8. This missive from the Church would be received by an Alchemist, Klaus von Berkhoven, who was working in his lab. Upon finishing his read of the letter, he tossed an unused and empty potion bottle at the wall out of anger. “Veletz und Stassion have killed a king ordained by GOTT, burned churchs, attacked a monetary, und threatened nuns!” He sounded. “They should’ve been cut from the Canonist world a long time ago und labeled heretics for their many crimes against Almighty GOTT und his people!” The zealot’s venom for the assailants of the innocent would only fuel the man to continue working, a battle will soon be upon all. “This is our peace.” Klaus murmured as he worked.
  9. The youngest brother of the Duke, Albrecht Barclay, would think about visiting his sibling, sister-in-law, and their children. Up early to put the finishing touches on an Animatii prosthetic he was working on, Klaus von Berkhoven would receive the missive and smiled cheerfully. “GOTT bless Alfred und his new family.” He thought out loud.
  10. The bride’s uncle, Klaus von Berkhoven, would be passed this missive by a servant while working on a Animatii prosthetic. The Alchemist would then see the date for the wedding and realize something, he was on a time crunch! “So much to do, so little time!” Klaus mused to himself with a chuckle and smile.
  11. A big noodle dog that can fight beside me?! Sign me up for one (or four) of these little guys! +1
  12. I want… no NEED these little guys! +1 for the Flufs
  13. A truly grand laugh left Asmund Vincent Fyr’s being as he read the letter. “Ye’re a slick one, Sir Wilford.” The Hohkmati mused to himself as he put the copy of the letter away and went on with his day.
  14. The tired Reinmaren, Klaus von Berkhoven, read the missive then mulled over the idea of awarding such a hit of a song himself! He would then look over the walls of Reinmar he was watching over, in the direction of the harbor of Haense, as the chilled, seasonal wind blew through his auburn hair. “Danke, Jerry.” The Hohkmati, Asmund Vincent Fyr, would then put the missive in his pocket after he read it, returning to pulling the dents out of his ferrum armor. “We’re so back.”
  15. “GOTT has blessed dein rule, now du may rest easy knowing Reinmar is still in gutte hands, mein friend. WER RASTET, DER ROSTET!” Called Klaus von Berkhoven, having read the writ. He then slammed a fist to his chest, a Reinmaren salute for the now Duke-Emeritus. The youngest son of Manfred II, Albrecht Ludwig Barclay read the writ as a servant had brought it to his room. “GOTT bless du, vater, und GOTT bless Alfie’s reign.” The brunette stated as he rose from his desk and looked to the Reinmaren banner hanging on his wall, giving it a salute. “WER RASTET, DER ROSTET!”
  16. “Collusion with Darkspawn und Azdrazi, disregarding Canon Law, killing a pious king, burning a church, und kidnapping the High Pontiff along with threatening his life und that of the clergy with him. Is there anything that the heretical nation of Veletz won’t do?” Klaus von Berkhoven inquired to himself through gritted teeth after reading the open letter from the Vicar of Almighty GOD. “This heresy has gone on too long, the heretics und their nation must be razed off the face of the map as anything less would be an insult.” Klaus zealously stated as he rose from his desk and picked up his sword, going down to the forge in front of his home and sharpened his blade for the battle to come. THIS IS OUR PEACE.
  17. The Mali’ker Bard, Bastian Jusmia, would find the flyer for this winter ball dropped in the mailbox of his home. As his flame-hued eyes scanned the parchment, he tapped his pointed, ashy chin before walking over to his girlfriend, Trix, to see if she would want to go to a ball. ( @M_DA_MIZE )
  18. In a small camp some miles north of his home of Hohkmat, Asmund Vincent had lit a campfire to stay warm, though his mind was swamped with many thoughts of the day he had as he gazed into the flame. These thoughts and more had woken him multiple times. This same missive would then curiously find its way to the lad and he gave it a read. “I’m no spellslinger or Scion… yet, but I put up one helluva fight!” Asmund grinned as he set the missive in his bag and returned to his pondering for a while before putting out the fire, then drifted off into a rather uncomfortable sleep in his bedroll.
  19. Once one Klaus von Berkhoven hears of the demise of his student’s wife, who knows how he’ll react as he’s close with the Hyspian man and in frequent company of the Minitzer Tribe of Stroheim.
  20. Woken up by his love darting to the mailbox, Asmund Vincent, with groggy eyes, would scan the missive sent out by the Grand Magister before his stormy-grey eyes widened. ”I’m proud of ‘er too, love.” He replied with a smile to Iduna. “I think yer mama’s gonna want me t’ call ‘er Lady-Magister instead o’ Miss from now on thought.” The auburn chuckled nervously, knowing full well that the 5’2” Lady-Magister could drop a boulder many times his own weight on him.
  21. “HERETICS!” Exclaimed the pious Canonist alchemist, Klaus von Berkhoven, as he threw an empty potion bottle against the opposite wall of his laboratory in righteous anger, reading the missive that had been brought to him. “They decided to bath in the ash of one of GOTT’s homes on earth? Then Ich will personally send their damned souls to where they should go und take their heads as trophies.” The Reinmaren zealot proclaimed as he left the room to go sharpen his weapons without cleaning up the mess left under the chalkboard.
  22. From the mailbox, Asmund Vincent would find this letter from the Lord-Magister of Paradox and walk back inside the apartment. Descending the staircase and entering his and Iduna’s room, the auburn lad would break the wax seal and read the letter as the faint scent of embers and wood smoke emitted from the parchment. Asmund would then hand the letter to his love. ”For the sake of our future, that bridge must go.” He stated, agreeing with Haus’ message. @Lmcfc
  23. Almost as soon as he finished his prayer after he finished reading the disclosed BSK post-action report, another servant came in, telling Klaus of the Lord Vandalore’s demise as well. The Alchemist would immediately bow his head and close his eyes once more in one motion. ”Dear Saint Johann, please bless dein people, all of Waldenia, with dein protection as we mourn the loss of our Lord Vandalore. Merciful GOTT, please be with DEIN Waldenian children during this time und let our Diet promote another well-meaning, GOTT-fearing mann when the time is right. Blessed be DEIN Holy Name, AMEN.”
  24. The disclosed BSK report reached the hand of Reinmar’s Master Alchemist, Klaus von Berkhoven, hastily by servants within Sankt Johannsburg. His tired, sleepless eyes carefully scanned the document. “They slew the Aaunish Koenig und his council?!” He exclaimed before closing his eyes. “Gutte LORD, protect the Realm of Aaun und DEIN Holy Realm of Canondom in these trying time und thank DU for the capture of the devious Captain-General who will soon meet both the Judgement of Man und DEIN Holy Judgement. AMEN.” The auburn prayed then pondered the future before getting back to work immediately.
