  1. As I'm sure you know and can do from the naysaying as usual, the playerbase isn't growing at a rapid enough rate to actually accomodate multiple niches of the same thing while having them be impactful on the world beyond a few sporadic interactions which could be done by placing this as an 'event' race. We want things that are substantial and provide some sort of substance to the world by existing and being utilised by the players. I try to think of what actual impacts these creatures would have and I see them being barely populated and having a small build that will eventually fall into obscurity. I want these sorts of creatures and open CAs to have the ability to contribute to LotC, which is something many seem to think is an absolutely insane idea to want lore that actually contributes to things when its in the hands of the players. It's almost bad that I don't want these accepted and then doomed for failure as the Wonks were.
  2. It's a very cute piece of lore but I really see it not being feasible with how discarded most beast-race CA's have been on LotC, specifically how wonks were memed immediately and then dissolved. I genuinely believe Halflings already provide this niche for this cute, small nimble race and that you would be competing with an already ingrained playerbase to try and get this launched from the initial release.
  3. This lore has been denied. You will be sent a forum PM regarding the reasons for denial within the next 24 hours.
  4. The Aeldenic Suppression Society are seen walking around the hold of Nova Horos, the mention of the Almarian conflict has caused strife within those foreign to the continent. People are taken from homes, vanishing with those that hold ties to the lands of the descendants. A few strange remnants of Renatian and Horenic supporters are taken to the shadows, murders and disappearances litter those who whisper in the taverns and establishments of the grand city. Any or all mentions of the strange conflict are suppressed throughout the continent. One society exists and that is Aeldin itself, to say otherwise is punishable by death.
  5. Only happens when you're from the Barnett bloodline
  6. The Merchant Sloop is seen on the docks of the ruined settlement of Vaelya. The bandits themselves hauling supplies and their remaining cannons onto the deck of the ship. A few men are seen with sigils of the Blade and Star on their shoulders, jeers and remarks made against one another as they assemble on the ship. The flames of the ruins of Vaelya are snuffed, its innards littered in cannonshots and the horrors that came from the various groups that attempted to dislodge them. The ship is spotted sailing towards Freeport. The land of the Free and Questionable. Those that had heard of the group's own plight would now know that their sights are set on the Cloud-Splitter of the South. The Accursed Drake. [BOUNTY COMPLETED]
  7. If this isn't the Resource and War System Overwrite expansion I'll be mad.
  8. think the real issue w/ conflict on this server is the people who preach dynamism are normally those who refuse anything bad to happen to them by any ooc means possible.

My favorite part of LOTC nowadays is when you let your character lose, but then the other side gets mad at you for not losing in the way they wanted you to. Come on, now, you got the win.

      Does this actually happen?!

Happened when my last character died, for example.

@Burnsider See, I don't really believe in playing to lose because a lot of people are negative energy even if you do lose. I don't, however, usually kill the person I'm in conflict with anymore unless they're doing something *really* dumb or being a skyrim bandit npc where you beat them down and they cower then try to backstab or w/e. I think its more fun for both sides if you let them live, maybe take a finger or something at most, unless they're some serial killer or w/e where it doesn't make sense to let them live.

  10. - WARNING - Heavy Firepower has been spotted with these 'Brigands'. They seem to be in possession of two Vaelyian Lead Belchers. The sounds of these horrific machines of war have stained the battlefields to groups that have come past. Small, marked graves now litter the sides of the city as bandits lay their dead to rest. Any attempts at negotiations with this group will most likely be met with resistance from the constant aggressions. They have bunkered down and become a force to be reckoned with.
  11. Currently impossible to make personal nodes at the very moment. It requires heavy dev attention and with that, botany nodes will have people get a stack a day individually, where we could be producing 40 stacks herbs a day by a nation that wants to go around doing that. There's alot of bad things about personal nodes, so it's really us trying to decide where to go from here.
  12. we were about to monopolise it for solely ST items but here you are ruining our staff hoard and giving it to the masses

  14. Heed heed, all ambitious adventurers. Our company has been scouting out the areas of Vaelya to clean up the rubble left by the settlement that collapsed upon the shores. Their marble towers crumble and we wish to excavate these ruins to benefit our own enterprises. The lovely materials left in this town would be a benefit for us to be able to deal with, but these squatters have been seen picking off our caravans and otherwise occupying the abandoned village. We are looking for those who are not of the faint of heart to drive them out of this area, violence is encouraged but you can do whatever you wish to ensure that they leave. Upon a clear visible evacuation of the area, we will reward those who do this with 100 mina for their troubles. They are violent, ill-equipped and seemingly barbaric. So caution is advised. They have enough numbers to rival small forces, so if you are planning to enact the justice necessary upon them, be prepared and do not have a queasy stomach. We await the completion of this contract, for Almaris. For the Greater Good. - Reginald P. Antsworthy, Excavator Extraodinaire, Head of the Almarian Masonry and Construction Guild (The AMC) Bounty - Objective - Remove the Bandit Threat by any means possible Location - The ruins of Vaelya Reward - 100 Minas upon a successful removal of the threats in the camp Difficulty - Medium. Forces will struggle if not prepared and not planned. These foes know how to fight dirty and will drag them down with you if you corner them like rats.
