PvP is required for some aspects and activities on the server. To remove PvP would be the server's BIGGEST mistake. Prove me wrong.

@TJBMinecraft Your opinion is based on wanting to have a "fair" advantage. If this were the case then RP on the server would be pretty boring. Everyone is going to have advantages over people in some way. For example I'm almost 100% certain that I could beat @Hero_Prodigal in a RP fight. Because I have a mage and if he were to RP the effects of spells that hit him correctly (Thats not a jab at you. Most people would like to think that something like a lightning bolt hitting you only gives their char a seizure.) I would have an "unfair advantage" over him. The situation would more than likely be on the opposite if I were to 1v1 him in pvp. This doesn't mean that I can't get better at PvP or he can't learn magic (though magic isn't always the thing that decides a crp fight as its counterable.) Basically here's a tl;dr "git gud"

Remember when we were told that we would get enchanting and alchemy back after nexus was removed, however it was gonna be locked away for the first few months of Atlas. Pepridge Farms remembers.

@Elrith Mostly just a sly jab and a meme with a hint of truth. Also I'd like to point out that We've been on Atlas since December 16th. Thats 8 months of stuff when we haven't really seen a real big update that affects the playerbase. 1.13 hasn't been out for maybe a couple weeks I think? It's going to take a long ass time before we get an update to that version.

So @HortonHeardAWho had stated that it would take an MA to use what's written in the lore piece. Is this true, and if so why? Maybe I read that wrong, not sure.

Just remembered a situation where a certain Haense soldier had decided to try and weasel his way into PVP default because of an illusion of a little girl hugging him "spooking his character" and somehow that made him the defender. Luckily the GM team wasn't daft and put an end to it.

No I agree, that's exactly what happens and why the server as a whole is a joke. It's an OOC circle jerk for literally everything. Magic? Become friends with Teachers. Become Emperor? Have the right friends that will support you. Literally it.
The point I'm trying to make, is I wouldn't complain about players powergaming before it's even happened. It's self explanatory.

I agree, now the another reason I make that new players should be held off from using voidal magic is that a very large percentage of them don't have a great knowledge of rp combat, and this is a very bad thing. Already you'll have new players not realize that rp combat isn't just a war of who can type faster (or a "you took too long to emote so I made mine") and more of a turn based ordeal.
On your point of powergaming before its happened. Most of the server in its current form can't handle not being able to powergame magic. Especially electrical evocation. So I definitely wouldn't trust a new player being able to get it right. Not to sound elitist, I'm sure there are a few that could do it right on the first go. Though its not a big percentage.

Seriously though I feel bad for anyone that actually buy slaves when 9 times out of 10 the one enslaved isn't going to willingly do slave RP. Just wait for them to be able to SS out of captivity in 2 hours.

Failing to feed will result in the Feral's shifting become more sporadic and will happen whether the Feral wants it to or not. Its also not just Descendant meat that can be eaten to keep this from happening, but all meat. We didn't go out with a full on rewrite because that's not what we wanted, and its not what was necessary. We changed everything that the LT had wished to be changed in the original lore and that's what we stuck with. We had LTs checking on the google doc and writing comments about their problems were as we wrote it. Saying it does nothing to fix the original problems in the feral lore is completely false. We took the original lore and reworked it to make sure that no ferals could just add abilities that aren't in the lore at all. We do disagree with Starfelt's work, however why is that a bad thing? If the feral community doesn't like the current rewrite being brought together by someone then they have the right to make a submission that goes against it to be submitted to the LT. We were told we could do so and that's what we did. -
