  1. Llir spoke with me in DMs about my thread being locked after it being mentioned on @Orlanth's forum profile. I'll share the brief conversation I had with Llir in DMs here through a lightshot screenshot if anyone is interested: https://prnt.sc/gSyhUczefxaE

      Llir

Thanks for sharing! Just more or less restating what I said on the thread already though. Also, to allow for feedback on this issue, I've unlocked the Administration's thread

  2. Most rap is horrible, including the ones from big name celebrities that everyone idolises.
  3. "Progress." the mali'thill, Leithedir An'asul, would smile upon hearing the diplomatic news... a feat that no recent Sohaer could have done.
  4. Einar Edvardsson Ruric would, from his tundral cabin, peer down at the city of Alisgrad's construction and observe every now and then. Even at night, he could hear the distant hammering away of the Norlandic labourers as they saw fit to rebuild their city. Growing up in Varhelm for a short time in his youth, he couldn't much remember what was there due to living a self-sufficient albeit hermit lifestyle for most of his life. All he grew to know was the local ecosystem that he found himself living off. He would take some timber that had been previously set aside by the small fireplace that he had fashioned for himself in his cabin, seeing that it was now dry and unaffected by snow, he would use it to carve a new axe handle as he made habitual glances down to the new city of Alisgrad. Aged by small scars and the constant sweat from his brow, he would ponder for just a moment, "Soon's t'a time that I should see wha' is going on over t'ere meself.. maybe." As he continued to carve, he would accidentally graze against his thumb just enough for a drop of blood to stain the snow below. He'd grunt, taking a break from his carving as he looked down at where a pinkie finger used to be on the same hand from decades prior, "No' yet. They've no place for me. Aftah all.. why shoul' I leave when I'm foine here.." He would continue to carve, peeling away the strips of wood that were not needed for his axe to later use as kindling for his fire.
  5. Leithedir An'asul hums from within the Eternal Library after hearing of his loss, "No matter. Tiuthwyn was perfect for the job before and they shall continue to be now. As long as the position is filled, there is hope for the mali'thill." He takes out a book, strumming against its dusty spine before thinking to himself, "Perhaps I should ask them if they are willing to allow me to assist with maintaining the library." Leithedir would then comment on the other parts, "Ayliana should make a quite a good Sohaer, hopefully they break the status quo of our awful leadership. I am already quite proud that they, and the rest of elHeial'thilln have declared their opposition for the constitution... it is quite frankly a mockery to consider it legally binding." He'd begin his trek home so that he could dwell in the An'asul Library.
  6. I will not forget the time during Atlas that you farted in a voice chat and laughed maniacally while alone with me when we were both strangers to each other. Your lovely antics will not be forgotten regardless of what happens.
  7. The An'asul would ponder Elarhil's question for a moment, it was a predicted question but did not expect it to come so soon, "We, as Mali'thill, pride ourselves on our abundance of knowledge and our collected pieces of written works; whether it be Valah poetry, ancient history, guides, and so forth. There is so much more that we have not yet uncovered and stored in the Eternal Library because we have not been proactive enough in recent times to seek it out. It is important that this is corrected, or else we may see a gap of history missing from the Eternal Library that could have otherwise been learnt from for future generations. Expeditions and learning from foreign scholars are two examples of the many ways that we could be proactively seeking out knowledge. I also believe that returning to our roots in our scholarly ways is what is most demanded in elCihi'thilln.. after all.. isn't that part of the reason why we are here, lliran?" he'd end his answer for Elarhil's question with a brief joke before moving onto the Tiuthwyn's question. He would look to the Visaj before looking out to the audience, "In terms of teaching and spreading maehr'sae hiylun'ehya, I have admittedly not done as much as I would have hoped. However, it is something that I intend to work on and correct. I plan on publishing a collection of essays on topics that I feel are most important at the time, last year I published an essay about 'thill'iyat'.. that was quite well-received by Mali in elCihi'thilln and abroad.. even in the Ebonwood Principatus where their 'saneyir' Minuvas Melphaestus wrote me a letter about it. For an Okarir'maehr, I think that it is important for a scholar who has an aptitude and is passionate towards collecting, organising, and writing about scholarly topics to hold the position - and I believe in that way, it makes me qualified.. not as qualified as you perhaps, but still.. qualified." the scar on his cheek would contort as he smiled.
  8. Leithedir would look over to his fellow candidates. He did not agree with the idea of candidates asking questions to their 'opponents' in an attempt to slander them with a rebuttal given that they were all equals serving a common purpose, when compared to the Valah who will slander for political gain. Thus, he would ask innocuous questions: The An'asul would focus on Elarhil Sullas first, the youngest of the candidates, before beginning to speak, "Elarhil, I was quite impressed by the restoration of elUhieran. It certainly shows leadership capabilities and I applaud you for that. However, my possible concern lies in whether your age or leadership of the elUhieran may overwhelm you or make you less effective for the position of Okarir'maehr. Do you think that your age may affect how effective you would be in the position of Okarir'maehr where you will be handling knowledge, some from before your own lifetime? Further, do you believe that leading elUhieran may cause you to have less time for the position of Okarir'maehr, and if so how would you accomodate for that?" he would leave an airy pause before turning to the Visaj. Out of all the candidates, he was most mind-boggled for a good question to ask Tiuthwyn, but he would try his best regardless, "Tiuthwyn, you are very likely the best Mali for the position. However, I must ask. You served as Okarir'maehr for quite a long time, but you decided to resign, what was the reasoning for why you resigned?" he'd hum to himself. Thankfully, his lips were not as cracked anymore so he didn't feel the need to lick them again.
  9. Leithedir would peer out at the masses, looking at the Mali of varying ages and varying experiences. He would clear his throat before speaking, "We are Mali of logic and reason, of the arcane and the sciences, of the known and the unknown. Larihei pioneered our endeavors into these vast terrtories, and it is for that we are different from our cousins. With this.. destiny.. that we've been put on the path on, it is important that while we as Mali'thill are equals, we require those who will rise above and do their part for Maehr’sae Hiylun'ehya." he pauses for a moment, licking his exposed, cracked lips. "There is a fierce urgency in the Silver State.. for our knowledge in the Eternal Library to be maintained.. and for our youth to learn of our past and the ways of the world, so that we may progress further. It is with this urgency that we on this dais are here to do our duty as Mali'thill to serve our home. For us, not only is this an opportunity for our future, but it is a service to Maehr’sae Hiylun'ehya and all Mali'thill who follow it. With that, it is I, Leithedir An'asul, who hopes to take the mantle of Okarir'maehr." he would conclude his opening statement at that, rubbing the edged point of his right ear as he awaited the opening statements of the others on the dais.
  10. Leithedir An'asul would make his way to the dais in the Silver Citadel first out of the Okarir'maehr candidates, where he would look out amongst the gathered mali'thill populace that arrived for the debate. Those looking back at him at his scarred face would hopefully be put to ease when he would offer a warm smile to them in reply. Inside, he knows this is a real chance at bringing change to not only the elHeial'thilln, which has had vacated seats for too long, and the Silver State, of which all Mali'thill reside, but also to bring change to one of the places it matters most, the Eternal Library- one of the most important institutions for Mali in all of Almaris. He would rest his arms by his side, as he awaited for the rest of the Okarir'maehr candidates to come to the dais.
  11. The Venerated Anders Kortrevich would surely be smiling at the poetry of his relative from the Seven Skies.
  12. A Short Essay on the Haelunorian Faith Year 66 of the Second Age The matter of faith in the Silver State and the mali’thill hegemony is quite clear to those familiar with the culture; non-worshipping mali‘aheral are much closer in living in accordance to Maehr'sae Hiylun’ehya: progress and health. Despite this fact however, there are frequent misconceptions about the stance of mali’thill due to a lack of proper analysis into how vocabulary is used. It’s important that these misconceptions are corrected so as to not spread further confusion, hence why this essay has been written. A common term that is applied to Haelunorian faith to discuss our worldview, by mali and valah alike, is “Atheist”. Not only is the term often misused on a wider scale, but it does not accurately convey how mali’thill perceive the social order of things. “Atheism” is mainly a valah concept that is used to describe the idea that deities should not be worshipped due to them not existing to begin with. While it is an incredibly ludicrous concept, it is unfortunately something that many people support despite the numerous recorded firsthand accounts of encounters with Aengudaemons. Many of these encounters still persist in the form of secondhand historical records that can be found in libraries of varying repute, however there would still be many firsthand accounts from living individuals; especially among the mali and bortu. Thus, those who label themselves atheists using its correct definition should not be taken seriously for they have ignored all logic and truth. The proper term that should be applied in Common, though rarely used, is “Alatrism”. This concept describes the idea that while the existence of multiple deities is recognised, none of the deities are worshipped. This could happen for quite a few reasons. Perhaps, none of the deities would have the individual’s interests in mind. Perhaps, the individual thinks that worship would have no effect on their lives. Perhaps even, the individual thinks that the deities are evil and should not be worshipped. As descendents of Malin, we were cursed by Iblees with infertility. Yet, the Creator did not reverse our curse. Instead, they gave us long lifespans in an attempt to make up for their inability to rid us of our curse. It shows that even the Creator is not omnipotent as those of some valah societies claim. In the case of the mali’thill, we are a self-determined people that have been forging our own destinies since our enlightenment in the Golden Pools. Due to the knowledge that we’ve collected over the centuries in our scholarly endeavours, we have been able to stand resolutely over those who seek our destruction, and survive as a cultural group… without the direct intervention of deities. It is due to our realised self-determination, and due to the instinctive rationality of mali’thill, that we are able to see that there is no reason to allow deities to become the centre of our lives through worship and reverence. It is here that I will propose the term “thill’iyat”, translating to “refined thought” in Common, to be used in reference to our unique circumstance where mali’thill recognise, after centuries of analysis and forethought, that we do not need deities in order to be successful, in contrast to another proposed term, “dil’iyat”, translating to “needy thought” in Common, where those of other cultures worship and revere deities out of emotional need, desire for power and security, or another similar vice. To conclude the essay to keep it brief and easy to read, “Atheism” is a valah concept that is generally misused but would not apply to the Haelunorian belief regardless. The correct term in Common would be “Alatrism'', but should be aptly named “thill’iyat” in Elven to recognise the realisation that mali’thill are able to follow their own path without the intervention of deities when compared to those who still rely on deities for support. 13. Leithedir An'asul would smile upon hearing of the announcement from his beloved sister and Okarir, "A worthy announcement to be admired, surely. Hopefully this system can be rolled out effectively given the current political climate.."
  14. Leithedir An'asul would put his own nomination posters around the city of Karinah'siol, before delivering a copy to the Maheral directly.
  15. Okarir’maehr Nomination of Leithedir An’asul [OOC] The Archivist by Julie Dillon [OOC] To abide by Maehr'sae Hiylun'ehya, it is important that in preservation of our culture and knowledge that we have a dedicated mali’thill at the helm overseeing these efforts as we continue our scholarly endeavours on the path that has been provided to us by Larihei. Past knowledge, present knowledge, and future knowledge, of all matters, must be safekept for the good of the mali’thill, for the good of the Silver State, and for the good of all. With the position of Okarir’maehr vacated, it is only appropriate that a scholarly mali’thill who, in accordance to maehr'sae hiylun'ehya, performs their duties with the utmost care for tradition, purity, and progress. It is with that that I, Leithedir An’asul, previously Tilruir’san and currently Tilruir’ferbilokn as well as Nealu'sil for elSillumiran, declare my nomination for the position of Okarir’maehr on elHeial'thilln in this missive henceforth. My skills are compatible with those required for the position. For the short time that I was a Tilruir’san prior to the position being removed, I went on a diplomatic mission to Yong Ping where the idea of a future treaty that benefitted the Silver State was peacefully discussed. This is important because in our pursuance of knowledge, peace should be at the forefront. In my position of Tilruir’ferbilokn, I have established a recruitment post for the Labourer’s Guild, and went out to foreign lands to discover techniques that would improve the efficacy of the guild. While new techniques could not be found, this endeavour of mine enabled me to establish new connections that are important for an Okarir. As Nealu’sil for elSillumiran, I regularly laboured in the Silver State’s mines to provide to the armoury which would provide equipment to defend ourselves. Alongside my nomination, I come forth with the intention of expanding the efforts of the position than what was previously done. In the first two years, I plan to locate dedicated mali’thill to serve as tilruiran to extend the capabilities of the Okarn. The next three years would be spent organising the library, establishing connections, and planning future endeavours. Efforts would be made to proactively seek out scholars and teachers from all paths of life to provide opportunities for mali’thill to expand their personal knowledge as well as the Silver State’s own safeguarded knowledge. It would also include pursuing literature, books, and other written publications from outside the Silver State; utilising the support and resources of the Okarir’san and other positions where it is needed. Maehr'sae Hiylun'ehya
  16. +1s mean nothing when it comes to staff applications except to boost egos because people like to spam their own applications in every discord they have access to telling people to +1 with a comment to get it on trending. More often than not, people comply with these because they're friends with the person and not because they actually think they'd be a good fit for the team despite saying something along the lines of 'blah blah blah, good skills in blah blah'. I've seen numerous people give a +1 reply to a staff app but will upvote every -1s on the same app, likely out of fear of being ostracised or peer pressure if they openly made their own -1 comment. If there are -1s on a staff app and a lot of upvotes on it, that's how you know that there's something there. I personally haven't seen any -1s that mention RP except to use it as context to someone's OOC behaviour about a situation. It is how it is.
  17. The forgotten Sanvyn Indoren, though one of the originals, would reside in a cabin in the middle of the Almarian wilderness. At the helm of his dinner table, the Indoren would be accompanied by a range of eating utensils varying from the traditional forks, spoons, knives, to the unconventional sporks, spives, and knorks, there would also be cultural utensils such as the Li-Ren chopsticks; all of which have been given a face by placing a few drops of ink on each utensil. Maddened by decades of isolation and trauma, Sanvyn would speak out amongst his homemade army of cutlery, "Luara has given me.. us.. all a chance at redemption. Together, with Luara.. we will become 'In-door-ins'. We protect all who are indoors. For Luara and maln wills it so." his face would twitch a little as he stared at a dishevelled spoon, "Why are you looking at me like that? Do you want to be a failure? Are you trying to sabotage us?" he would leap, almost as if he were a cat, against the other side of the table where the poor spoon had been awkwardly placed on a little makeshift chair. Sanvyn, in his rage, would grip the spoon, licking its inky face off with his foul tongue before bending it and throwing it against the rotting timber floor with a metal clatter. "You are with me, or against me! Be smart, lliran." he would glare at the cynical cutlery remaining on the table before making his way into his room to cry about his stinky toenails that are plotting to trip him over.
  18. I would be lying if I said that I didn't shed many tears to this apology. The heartfelt words in this letter of sorts was unlike any I've ever seen in any form of literature, poetry, or romance RP. It's unfortunate that this trio would also conduct themselves in the burning of my official Minecraft Handbooks, however it's something that I'm willing to overlook due to how beautiful these words were. I think that if we look beyond their disruptions, their inappropriate behaviour, we can truly see the hard work and dedication that really puts "Craft" into the Lord of the Craft (after all, they were able to put very well-scaled images into a heart!). God bless these fine gentlemen.
  19. I've seen Almarian used the most, so I'm inclined to go with that instead
  20. Symbiotes? Hell yeah, it's time to roleplay as Venom. +1
  21. "How can he keep getting away with this?" Leithedir An'asul would remark from the other side of the city.
