As the new Stalingrad USSR broadcasts into the wasteland, thousands of survivors who can pick up the transmission begin to migrate toward the signal, seeing it as a last beacon of hope in their decimated world. As the survivors stream in, many are mutated beyond the recognition of a normal human being. Many of them have hideous growths, mutations, and scars that tell the horrifying story of the nuclear collapse.

More worrisome, the survivors bring with them terrible horror stories. Some talk about the warlords that have risen in the North, moving in nomadic caravans pillaging whatever they can find. Some make home in the rubble of the once proud cities, clashing with the occupying German forces. But the most worrisome of all are those of the super mutations. Survivors from the worst affected areas describe horribly mutated human beings and animals attacking the survivors, tearing them to pieces and seemingly hunting them. It was unwise to travel to these areas without being well armed, and most survivors were not.

Reclaimer Corporation - Ceres

Hadrian grins as he watches the British mothership come near orbit, observing it prepare its weapons systems for an assault on Dimitri. However the British would be in for a rude awakening. As the HMS King Charles' Dream heats up its weapons systems, a wide hangar bay opens up near the northern pole. Out of it stream nearly a dozen starfighters, the first of their kind. They were Reclaimer's newest pride and joy, the Spectre I.

Moving toward the King Charles with incredible speed, they begin to circle the ship like carrion above the medieval battlefield. Upon command from Hadrian, the Spectres light up the Mothership, bombarding it with their entire payload of bombs, diving cleanly through the void of space as they blast the armor with lasers and metal storm shells. Any Churchill fighters desperately trying to escape the dying ship would be met as they leave their hangars, shattered into expensive space debris. Two ships maneuver their way behind the ship, flipping a switch and activating their Microwave Blasters, overheating the huge ships engines and letting it die over the planet, the EMP bombs dropped by the Spectres would render the weapons systems of the ship disabled, and most importantly, ready for boarding.

Within minutes six Reclaimer dropships ascend through Cere's weak orbit, blasting their way into the main hangar bay of the King Charles, dropping 20 Phalanx1 drones with another 40 Reclaimer Medium Exo soldiers. Together they push toward the cabin of the ship to detain the captain, placing the ship under control of the Reclaimer Corporation.

THE IMPERIUM BRITANNIA

 

 

The BBC was in an uproar as the H.M.S King Charles was reportedly boarded by Relcaimer Corps.

 

The SAS soldiers aboard quickly arm themselves with LIONCUB high-energy rifles, protected in Faraday Caged lockers, as the Phalanx 1 drones and the Exo Soldiers board the ship.

 

However, they're too late; the SAS soldiers valiantly fight, but they're outclassed by the Phalanx 1 drones. They do manage to seriously wound and perhaps kill some of the Reclaimer infantry, however, as they make their way through the corridors of the ship.

 

 

But many of the SAS soldiers are slaughtered, and those surviving the onslaught quickly surrender.

 

 

The operations crew is taken hostage, the Captain in charge of the ship being successfully captured. But he had anticipated this, and the crew simply bided its time as the SAS soldiers are beaten back.

 

As the leader of the boarding party enters the room, the operations officers get on their knees, their hands behind their heads. Their only hope was to surrender to Reclaimer Corps.

 

Ceremonially, and sweating from fear, both from the thought of disgrace back home and the thought of what was to happen to the rest of his crew, Captain Lawrence Osborne offers a ceremonial sword from his office to the boarding party commander in surrender.

Britannia had just fought it's first interplanetary battle, and it had lost. Terribly.

BSA Command attempts to contact Reclaimer Corps, outranged by their attack on one of their Motherships. They commend them for their technological prowess and military success, but they have, nevertheless, launched an unprovoked attacked on one of their motherships, and in the process, outraged the British government.

 

BSA Command will negotiate for the safe return of the HMS King Charles and the surviving crewmen, if need be, and swear to never enter Ceres space again if allowed to do so.

 

Britannia appeals to the Greek government to use their influence with Reclaimer Corps to help negotiate a safe return of the Mothership and it's crew.

 

For what it's worth, Empress Laura Windsor and most of the British Royal Family attend the funeral of the German Kaiser.

 

Aid is also sent to the Slavic Confederation. Or at least, what aid can be spared... However, since supplies are in abundance, many packages of medical supplies and other forms of humanitarian aid are provided to the Confederation.

The South American Federation

 

The government, for a while has been silent but has been progressively working on their projects, a new side project branching off from the Nanite Technology project has begun and should be ready for finishing once the Nanites are prepared. Basically plans are laid out for a Nanite armor suit much like the Chinese have invented, Meanwhile on the Nanite research the government continues to fund it and progress goes smoothly and they receive packets of blood, human blood for possible testing from the hospitals who are happily funded for a short while before it goes back to the Educational programs.

 

 

Soon more meetings a large space station is being constructed, but they build it all in separate parts that are separately sent into space to be pieced together by workers that they send along with the pieces of space station, The space stations are equipped with an assortment of weaponry ranging from old to new technology to defend the slowly constructing Space station being called Orion(MODPLZ). The government asks the British Imperium on possible assisting them in construction the large space station with an offer of a nanite supply as long as they help with what the Federation tries. Some of the government's eyes are drawn to Russia-or whats left of it in curiosity.

The relief supplies slowly stop how ever as the government believes they had provided enough for the chosen nations and quietly go back to their own projects while storing up their supplies for the coming projects to be finished. The Citizens also hold another festival in the capital using up some of the spare food supplies on it. Now a offer is sent out to all the nations in South America(Peru, Ecuador, Paraguay, Uruguay...) to join the Federation, offering protection, technology and better education systems for the people of their countries(MODPLZ).

As everyday goes by the refugees and victims of the old war continue to pour into the city, Even which the expansions to the city to feed more people they still find themselves near short on food and supplies for everyone. The unfortunate souls that have been mutated beyond human relation are still offered a place if they can be put to work but for those that are unable to work are taken elsewhere and their suffering is put to a merciful end.

 

Population begins to increase now at roughly 56,000 russian survivors.

 

One oddly calm morning the local military's radios fill up with orders to be on alert and deploy forces to the airfield!

Radar Operator "SIR! We have an unknown contact inbound to the airfield!"

Local Officer "Has it relayed anything so far?"

Radar Operator "No Sir, but perhaps-" He is cut off by yelling on the intercom

"Attention! Attention! German Aircraft inbound! I repeat this is not a drill, MiGs Deploy for escort! All Airfield Security teams deploy to the Airfield! Standby for detainment!"

 

As the German Aircraft would near Stalingrad it would find 2 MiGs, relics compared to what the rest of the world has flying in escort formation

"Attention German Aircraft, you are to land at our instruction. Failure to comply will result in lethal force."

As the Aircraft would land the 2 Diplomats would be immediatly detained, stripped and locked up. The Aircraft and its crew are also detained.

 

Many hours of sitting in the local military barracks holding area a man would enter wearing a worn but somewhat well kept Russian Army Uniform, he'd set the two Communication devices on the table and look at the two and speak with a heavy accent.

The Radio Tower has been given much more attention since the large groups flocking in. The Tower now sends out a signal to any and all that can hear it "We are the survivors of the great war, "We seek not hostile intention, only to secure and provide salvation for our people. Will anyone respond?"

 

The Scout and Scavenger groups are given a greater priority on searching through more abandoned Old Russia Military stations, Hospitals and Government buildings in hopes of finding more useful technology and assets to provide the new would be Soviet Nation. (MOD PLZ)

The USAC

The United States of America & Canada

 

Congress had just signed a bill that would re-introduce the USAC to the world as its democratic protector. There was once a time that everyone looked up to America, Francis believed said time should be revived again. Operation PRESIDIUM begins, good morning South Africa!

 

 

With permission of the African States, the Americans are quick to mobilize their navy in a ceremonial fashion. Two aircraft carriers, 4 X3K's, 50.000 soldiers and supplies to set up manufacturing plants for ammunition and weaponry would reach the Cape in two days.

 

 

With the aid of the present government, military bases were set up fairly easy A proper frontier was made at the southern borders of the Commonwealth with military bases acting as a node. The manufacturing plants were constructed farther back, the navy patrolled the west coast of the Cape regularly. Joint exercises are held with the African army as USAC satellites are used for a better understanding of the geography.

In protest against the illegal occupation of Alaska, the USAC increases tariffs on Australian Iron & Coal products by 15% and starts funding the labor unions to increase their influence in Australia. By this age, 6.8% of the Australian exports would go to the US. The Labor Unions, especially in the mining sector, start working on their campaigns to move those of influence and wealth to support their cause. Underwood smirked, this would be only the beginning.

 

 

The American Empire started to take shape, at least in the way Underwood wanted it to.  The First Lady and himself were icons of the American people, the media portraying Underwood as a visionary and a revolutionist. He didn't view himself as either, he was the American re-inventor.  He had sweat for a nickle and a dime, and turned America into an empire. That is how people liked their presidents. From his armoured car, he viewed the many people waving the American flag on the sides of the road. Some things still made him bitter though, but those things could easily be reflected in his agenda.

 

As the 4th of July almost came to an end, Francis had placed many speakers alongside of the wall of the NCR. Most firework shows and freedom poems were also held near the NCR border.  As a finishing touch, Francis addressed the 'free people' in the morning after.

Now that the celebration of the independence of a country that changed the world and re-invented democracy is over, I felt it is the proper time to state my mind about those not enjoying the liberties we cherish on this continent and overseas. It felt appropriate considering that many do not share the unwavering legacy of freedom with us.

 

In 1775 we formalized a movement. What had been intended to change a nation changed the world. For centuries to follow, we have given countries free markets and governments. We have let them turn away from the ideologies of the past, the ancient belief that control equals progress.  We, the United States, are the living proof that this ancient belief is wrong.

 

Almost all the world's constitutions are documents in which governments tell the people what their privileges are. Our constitution is a document in which we the people, tell the government what it is allowed to do. We the people, are free.

 

We used to be an united continent that represented the core value of every human being, the only thing that keeps us rolling as we repetitively labor and contribute to society. It is a sacrifice none of you are forced to do, but a sacrifice we all want to do. After a hard day of work, we can sit down and decide how our life continues further. Knowing that the voice of you, your neighbor and those who you hold dear have equal value to the voice you are listening to right now.  That is a comfort we take for granted, but remains to be a rare bird in these woods even today.

 

It is shameful knowledge that what used the liberal stronghold of our nation, the place where every democrat could be themselves, is now one of the most conservative and oppressive states in the modern world. Our beloved California and its people are caught behind walls, held at gunpoint as their schools teach them that outside those walls lays a wasteland. My people, if we were a wasteland we would at least be free. Many people stood in the oval office at the dawn of the 4th of July asking me.

"Francis, why won't you do something about that NCR!". I understood their concerns well, every American should be free. But I simply replied, is there something we /can/ do?

 

The rhetoric many previous administrations followed were rather hypocritical. You can't bring freedom, by forcing it. Why would I mark our nation, our people and my presidency by invading a country that doesn't see the light? All that we can and will do, is make them feel the heat. I once talked with this NCR Delegate during the first T.R.A.C summit the USAC attended. I told him, that in my country, people could walk into the oval office and slam their fist on the desk saying "Mr President, I don't like how you're running our country." He replied "Ohh I can do that." I was rather surprised and asked "You can?". He said "Yes, I can go to the State Office to the chairman, slam his desk and say "Mr Chairman, I don't like how President Underwood is running his country!"

 

Although I must confess that I laughed, it is the hard reality that those within the walls of the NCR face. Let us be reminded of what we have and pray that, those that do not live in the light, will eventually see it. I wish you all a peaceful morning, my festive American people and God bless America. Draftees from the UK, Africa, Canada and America itself now combine a magnificent force of 4 million troops. Excessive militarism and efficient recruitment throughout the world restored America's former pride. Event Team

 

Germany's tenuous grip on Russian territory was really starting to show. The place was a nuclear wasteland, and the Germans were not as unaffected as they thought. The radiation slowly began to affect the troops, giving them constant headaches and making them sick. Hair begins to fall out, and brutally suppressed rumors of German troops mutating is spread around. The eastern Russian land was almost desolate and fallow. Supplies were low, and the Germans would find a hole in their finance in constantly sending supplies over to their occupying forces. Mutated monsters constantly harass them, along with the newly emerged nomadic warlords. Many people flee German held Russia, streaming to the USSR

 

They were also at a disadvantage since the nuclear fallout cut all European's armies down by 40%

A USSR scout fingered his out dated AK uneasily, in the middle of a nuclear wasteland. The city he was exploring was in the depths of a nuclear winter in the Ural mountains. Him and his team were sent to find anything, food tech, whatever could be used. So far all they could find was ragged survivors, which were promptly sent to the capital. This city seemed different however, there were bunkers and Russian military tech everywhere. It was all completely useless, but still indicated...something. Reaching the center of the city, the scout and his team enter the mayor's building. Working their way to a cellar, they stumble upon a heavily armored door. The cement casing around it was also tough. Figuring something behind it was important, they sent to a grueling month of trying to weasel a way into the bunker. Finally they broke in, and what they saw left all their mouth's hanging. Row upon row of crates, all stamped with the nuclear warning sign. They had just stumbled upon a gold mine, a cache of Russian neutron missiles. The things that slaughtered the Chinese, the things that were nearly to deadly to be used. What would they do? How would they contact Stalingrad and get it back? They were so close to a deadly weapon but yet so far.

 

Other USSR scouting missions bore fruit, as Russian weapons and vehicles are found. More survivors stream in, and actual weapons and supplies start to increase.

Orion Avionics

 

Orion Avionics and Engineering was never given much attention after their Mars mission got underway. Among the various upstart companies attempting to exploit the public excitement about possible interplanetary travel, most failed. A few however did manage to make an impact -be it good or bad- upon the market. British-based Orion Avionics and Engineering Inc. was one of these companies. History was made in 2021 when Orion launched an audacious expedition to Mars over the course of twelve missions to set up a permanent colony. The colony was purely for profit, mining the abundant aluminum, iron, and silicon available there. In addition, the lower gravity conditions allowed them to construct better parts to make better ships.

 

A few years thereafter, Orion mostly faded from public light, though jobs from the U.K. Space Agency, SpaceEx, NASA, and similar contractors kept them busy and earned profits. Later, a second base was established on Earth's moon for even lower gravity conditions, though this was no grand achievement. 

 

Mars Colony Alpha, the mining and construction base established by Orion, is technically under jurisdiction of British law, though over the past decades the underground facility has expanded and grown far less dependent on resources from Earth to the point that it might resemble and act to some more a sovereign state rather than privately-owned land. The Colony operates like a small city with all citizens - being employees of the company - having appointed jobs to keep everything running. Given the nature of living off of Earth, the Board appointed a governing council in the colony to settle disputes and ensure everything proceeds on task. The nature of this gives the colony a rigidly organized and frugal lifestyle.

 

Orion Avionics, being a private company, has had to worry little about the Earthly affairs of other squabbling nations, and thus employs no space-faring combat vessels and only a small number of private security contractors. However, as major nations advance farther out into the solar system, eyes may rest on them as an easy target or threat to ambitions. Having their headquarters in the U.K., they can probably appeal to the British government for protection should they need it, but the issue of security lies heavily on the minds of the corporate hierarchy.

 

Both bases, on Mars and the Moon, are powered by multiple nuclear reactors and solar farms. Thus, energy is of little concern to Orion, as they need only make occasional missions to transport special parts or personnel.

 

The Orion "fleet" consists only of a handful of interplanetary freighters, moving cargo to and from their bases. At the moment, Orion Avionics and Engineering is in a down-spot where they have received no major contracts, and are thus ready to serve the highest bidder. Currently, they sell surplus mined material on whatever market takes them and survive on small, almost irrelevant production jobs.

Ethiopia - The War in Africa



The Caliphate's declaration of war on the Ethiopian republic had come as no surprise to the nation's top generals or even their people. Since the earliest days of the Arab Federation, the nation had been ready for an aggressive move against them. After the threats made by the Arab Federation in the late 2030s, the Ethiopians drafted several contingency plans in the case of an attack. These plans have been updated and rehashed as the Caliph has consolidated his power and gained strength.

The first part of the plan was simple, the Prime Minister of Ethiopia worked fervently to gain diplomatic ties to other nations. His first appeal went out to the USAC, a nation he knew would be well inclined to protect such a long standing bastion of religious freedom and democracy. The next appeal sent out by the Ethiopians for aid went out to the Indian government, a massive nation. The letter to the Indians went as follows:

"To the Most Honorable Anail Tandon,

I write to you today over a matter of survival. My humble nation, which has remained independent for over a thousand years, is under threat of losing that independence. Historically, Ethiopians and Indians have never had much interaction. What interaction we have had has been one of shared struggle. I appeal to you know to consider sharing just one more struggle with the Ethiopian people. The Islamic Caliphate, under the leadership of an expansionist Caliph, has chosen to disregard the sovereignty of our people and disrespect the religious tolerance that we have encouraged for centuries. 

You alone possess the ability to halt this invasion, either through means of force or through use of diplomacy, and save the Ethiopian people. I implore you to consider supporting the prospect of continued Ethiopian independence."

While the Prime Minister appeals for foreign intervention, the generals assume that none will come, initiating the defense phase of their plans. Ethiopian terrain has for centuries protected them against foreign invaders, allowing it to be the only remaining independent African nation in the midst of the scramble for Africa. Now they would use it to repel the Caliph and his zealous invaders.

The first tier was simple, the Danakil Lowlands were evacuated as fast as possible, then quickly turned into an incredible hostile environment for the invading force. The land itself is scorched, making it impossible to draw resources from the land itself while plains and other areas are mined and cratered, making land based advances move incredibly slowly. However, the significance of funneling the Caliph into the lowlands was twofold, artillery positions are established in the Ethiopian Highlands and Ahmar Mountains to constantly shell the lowlands, targeting advancing Caliphate units. Volunteer guerilla regiments are sent into the lowlands to sortie the Islamic positions, then retreat backward into the heavily fortified mountains.

The second tier of defense was slightly more complex, but still heavily relied on the native terrain. Battalions were stationed along the Lake Tamar and the southern bank of the Blue Nile, preparing a strong system of artillery and fixed defenses. Snipers thrive in this environment, the advancing Islamic troops lose several men to snipers in the Highlands they are entering.

Britain/Reclaimer Corp. - Ceres

Very little word is heard out of Ceres for several days, the shell of the King Charles' Dream sits idle in orbit over the dwarf planet. The Churchill fighters on board are flown out of the hangar bays of the mothership, and sent down to hangars in Ceres to be studied. More than likely they would be put into use by the Corporation in future conflicts if need be.

Once the Churchill fighters are all moved from the mothership, and Reclaimer personnel have left the ship, a series of explosions rocks the mothership. The once proud British mothership explodes in Orbit, debris scattering across the empty sky over Reclaimer base. Dimitri, the former Russian president, can't help but laugh with his Russian comrades as the British ship becomes a fireball. It is filmed and uploaded to the covert Reclaimer base in Transylvania, which then forwards the video to the BBC and release the video on YouTube, where it receives millions of hits.

The Military Command of the Commonwealth had taken full command of the defense, being majority christian nations they would fight with a fervor to get rid of the invading North Africans and Arabs, seeing this as nothing more than Arabian Imperialism and an attempt of the complete destruction of the African way of life.

 

The many people of the Afrikan Commonwealth enlist to the armed forces, being heavily supplied and equipped over the years with progressive expansion and modernization of the Military thanks to the nations friends in California, the total of the armed forces that have risen up to defend their land from religious and cultural genocide exceeds 5,000,000 as this is a time to defend ones homeland normal military numbers are naturally and dramatically increased in times where national defense is key. All armor divisions are equipped with Starlite to stop lasers, the tanks over the years following the same model as California and Australasia were upgraded with Rail Guns in which have no match worldwide the Airforce of the Commonwealth is supplemented with Californian Tali's and Normandy, they will counter the Caliphates airforce ensuring that no one side will have air superiority putting bombing runs and close air support mostly out of the question. They also have a hold of Microwave Laser Point Defense to stop Missiles and Jetpacks.

 

The Troop and Armoured divisions of the Commonwealths Armed Forces move to engage the Caliphates forces that are making incursions into their territory, supported by the Technologically Superior Ground forces and the same level of technology airforce, with the troops fighting with their hearts and souls to defend their homelands it will not be an easy win for the Caliphate, perhaps even an unlikely win for them at all, they had attacked territory that wasn't Muslim, that didn't lag behind in terms of technology and which opposed the very idea of Islamic Cultural dominance on their peoples. 500,000 men entrench themselves in Southern Chad (The More Supplied Side of Chad ). Niger is also entrenched with a defensive line for precautions with 250,000 men preparing defensive lines. These lines would be set to keep the Caliphates Advance in the Desert, making their invasion a tactical and Logistical nightmare, to slow their main battle tanks down, although Tandons would fare quite well, they are at a disadvantage due to the sheer range of Rail Gun Tanks.

 

 

The Western Territories begin their entrenchment, with a 1,000,000 men with many armored divisions and air support ready to support them, this war was going to turn into a nightmare for the Caliphate as the Commonwealth began its response in earnest. The Nations of Liberia, Guinea, Mali, Gambia, Senegal, Mauritania are called upon to hold back the Caliphate Western Offensive, defending their own sovereignty and joining together to fight back the threat of Extremism.

The West Andean Confederation is reached out to by Confederate president Julio Fernandez.

 

"You unjustly send troops to CSA borders, I though I had long since made it clear CSA aggression in South America is clear. The fifty thousand CPNA troops scrambled to Afrika arrive, and begin to set up. They meet the ten thousand already there, and place themselves in the heart of the Commonwealth. If there was a break in the lCommonwealth lines anywhere, they'd quickly move there to help stem the tide. The million men have been mustered, and begin to set out in waves. Those waves would be divided into smaller groups to minimize loss risk. Half a million men would head to the Commonwealth of Afrika. Under heavy escort, and with an organized supply line following them, they would make the best time they could. The CSA would pour resources into supplying their troops and the Commonwealth. They would not let their allies falter in the war or economy. Two hundred and fifty thousand men head north west, as if heading to Europe. Their exact location remained unclear, but they would avoid any aggression to other nation's ships.

 

Elite CSA officers are sent to South Africa, alongside USAC ones. They would help gear the South African army into a proper army. The CSA weapons also streaming in would help arm the new recruits. In an effort to help get T.R.A.C's two newest members get up to par, the CSA offers deals to Argentina and the USAC. They would offer the technology for advanced destroyers, advanced warfare/surveillance drones, high end Indian/CSA anti-air systems, and DROP systems. It was a show of complete trust, the CSA just gave these two nations the key to a powerful navy. All they asked in return was that the two nations assist the CSA in any just military actions and honor their T.R.A.C allies/obligations.

 

Australia is asked for their advanced targeting systems in return for Indian/CSA anti-air systems and DROP systems.

 

With a need to keep the edge in the naval field, the CSA drafts a new project. Called WHALES, they would be large conveyance ships, almost on par with the size of small carriers. They would be made with the most modern tech and advancements, to keep them effective. Capable of efficiently holding large amounts of supplies or troops, they would make transport ships and cargo ships a far cry. They would run off primarily oil, but all would have a nuclear generator. South American Federation

 

With the helpful technology given to them by the CSA's government, they quickly begin refitting and constructing the ships needed for a proper up-to par navy that can properly with stand attacks from the other nations navies. Soon the new ships are constructed and immediately are sent to Panama to join the CSA's Navy, with only a little bit of delay in sending new ships-Surprisingly, it seems the Federation has taken a big liking to the DROP systems as almost every capable ship is outfitted with these boarding party ships. It appears the Federation has chosen to join this war or at least support it with what they can spare on the war efforts while continuing to focus on the research.

 

The space station continues to hold top priority, more pieces being sent up into space for construction while the research continues to go along smoothly human trials being suggested after more tests are ran.

 

The government quickly looks to the remaining countries that wont join the Federation in slight annoyance but look to the African Commonwealth. Troops are mainly on board the Naval forces sent to support CSA's army and the Navy would jump at the option to steal ships from the enemy, using the supplied tech from the British Imperium. Further funding is spent on the education system to make it better, making sure everything is up to date along with the police force after some thinking, giving the SWAT forces near army grade weaponry and the police force newer equipment. South Africa

 

 

Since Mozambique and Zimbawe's joining of the South African Republic, aid to foreign nations has been largely slowed and redirected to the starving nations. Namibia surprised even the most knowledgeable of South African officials on Namibian affairs with how well organized the lands are. The administration is left almost untouched, but infrastructure is shored up to ensure its defence. Bases are built near Windhoek, with desalination plants built along all the new coast line to assure water supplies to the countries, with Walvis Bay and Swakopmund both getting their docks expanded to begin producing ships. Bunkers and the like are built all across the Namib desert, and garrisons are set up at all borders.

 

Zimbabwe's is a mess that South Africa was not expecting. Though the systems were in place to take it on, the extent of corruption and mismanagement is dizzying. Factories are set up across the country to construct more Greek tanks, newly acquired LIONCUB rifles (technology provided by USAC), and airplanes. The armies are banded together , though Zimbabwe's standing military forces (currently of about 250 000 active servicemen) is so poorly outfitted and trained, that they are immediately sent to training alongside the reserves, practicing the art of modern warfare with officers from South Africa, Brightsword Company, the CSA and USAC, with small contingents of British Commonwealth officers. More are offered to come and participate in the peaceful practices. The government of the nation is completely undone, re-elections are called for, and assured to be completely free. Huge projects are done to help deal with the land scarring and desertification that has happened because of the governments misuse of the land.

 

Mozambique is an odd nut to crack. Factories are set up across the land to create jobs and war materials, and the coast is reinforced as strongly as possible, less so because it's deemed necessary, but because of Mozambique's fear of being colonized by Japan. The people cheer as the navy comes around - mostly comprised of submarines and advanced destroyers - and are elated at the erection of several coastal defence ports and posts, all geared up with LIONCUB anti-aircraft and sea-craft turrets. It is seen as a great diplomatic move to cure this fear, so the poorly trained and Mozambiqan men and women in uniform are armed with the finest Greek armour, and the best weapons available (awaiting armaments coming from LIONCUB factories) and the 350 000 or so active servicemen are moved to coastal cities to garrison, being retrained by whatever available officers there are.

 

Public services for both countries are quickly brought up to South Africa's standards, and anyone with education deemed below standards is invited for a free re-education, with living expenses covered until they are ready to re-enter the workforce. The unemployed masses are given work building their country up to greatness, with offers to take up arms also dangling about.

 

Talks are opened with Angola, Malawi and Zambia about joining the Republic as well, it being suggested that the earlier they join, the sooner they'd be able to reinforce their borders with the Afrikan Commonwealth - The extra mile is gone to suggest that South Africa's borders would harden where they are if they are not quick to act. This isn't done to intimidate, as it is clear that South Africa must create a definitive land border as it has done its coasts. The usual generous offers to fix the infrastructure of their nations, as well as bring them to the 1st world standards is layed out, with the option to hold a referendum after the end of the turbulence. Britain is thanked for its service on behalf of South Africa, with the Empress being given the highest honours the nation has. It is told though, that the children may be taught under their own curriculum, with no interference from the government, that the age of European colonization in Africa was well passed, and that they wouldn't be doing it in a British possession, but rather South African land. Lodging and materials would be free, but they would not govern an inch of it on an official level.

 

De facto, of course, the British are assured free reign, and are offered territory in whichever province to take refuge.

 

An official meeting with the Caliph is re-requested, as well as a meeting with the Far Eastern Empire.

And then when they realize how minor the Caliphate actually is when it comes to military supremacy, USAC, UK and various Asian nations would have armed their population to the teeth already.

Furthermore to reply to the actual topic I do think that the Islamic State has the military capacities to at least harm our economies into bankruptcy. I don't expect a victory from either side, a quick stalemate would come to mind if I'm thinking optimistic here.

 

 

"I have to disagree with you here, Peter and Martin, because it is not the Underwood administration that shaped ISIS. Their existence has roots back to Islamic rebels against the USSR in Afghanistan. Although I do think that the Islamic State can be a dangerous military presence in the Arabian peninsula, I don't think they would be that stupid to annex more African countries.

 

As the chairman of the Iraqi Association for Independence we see a decrease in morale since the Caliph started to formalize this "Haram" alliance and an increasing support for our faction. If the Asian states and the USAC really wanted to intervene in the Arabian peninsula they would have done so already, their presence there is suspiciously mediocre and I think is merely a political statement. After warm negotiations between CSA delegate Gerald Walker and USAC president Francis J. Undewood a final conclusion was drawn only several hours after. Underwood was pleased, he did not expect his democratic attitude to appease the crowd to this extend.

 

 

In the oval office, the PATRIOT PACT was signed between the CSA and USAC. This would change several things, but Frank remembered the Russo-American merger and its downright failure. This time, a more careful agreement was made.

 

• - Technology, Economy and Industry will be unified. With the mutual currency being the new C.A.N Dollar.

 

• - A singular military high command is made, with the purpose to function during emergency situations or large military endeavours of each respective nation. General functionality remains separate from each other.

 

• A shared Foreign Policy will be established with a mutual understanding of each other's interests.

 

• Although the border between the CSA and USAC is now non-existent each territory remains to have its own government, laws, name and authority.

 

• Argentina and the Andean Confederation are invited to join the C.A.N union with the same terms given to the CSA by USAC.

Francis' approval ratings went up with 23% as he united the continent like he promised, almost. Although his ratings nearly reached those of Putin in his peak years, the accomplishments of Underwood would go into history.  As the nation celebrates with an overwhelming roar of joy, Underwood couldn't find himself at peace at all. The Islamic State did what he anticipated but, it was more complicated than he'd hope.

 

 

With the economy booming due to new markets opening for rather wealthy USAC investors, Underwood understood that corporate America had to be revived. Billionaires like Warren Buffet or Charlie Munger could easily benefit from the many wars in the world, but they didn't dare to invest in a minor economy. Up until now. Because now, the USAC was proudly the biggest consumerist economy aside of China and Australia.  He had to go against his principles, but he was willing to go this far for America.

 

After rather secretive talks with various corporate oligarchs who fled from Russia, the top 400 of America and the CEO's of the military industry. Underwood united the nepotist collective through a sleek deal. In return for Underwood loosening the restrictions on bankers and investors and allowing certain individuals a bit more equality than others, they would put their wealth into America once again. Warren Buffet however, was used as an asset in the Alaskan Dispute. His wealth would be used for hostile corporate takeovers by buying up all the Alaskan transporting companies and then charge triple to transport those minerals to the ships. In return, he kept the monopolized Alaskan Transport for himself. Show a dog a bone and throw it into the right direction, there was no difference between a dog and Warren Buffet in the eyes of Underwood anyways.

 

 

In the east of Russia, an encampment is made of 5000 soldiers several kilometers from the coast.  The sightings of these Drones did not remain unseen and the NSA picked up a weak Russian signal regulalry. Those crazy Russians may have been their nemesis, but many intellectuels would, knowing Dmitry, be safe to rebuild his fantasy Russia. A strong signal would be send throughout Russia for the encampments radio tower broadcasting in broken Russian repetively.
