you know I can build a wall that cant be laddered up period with stairs

hell I could just make the wall extend out by 1 block from where it is at the surface

also can the settlement choose to drop its raid cooldown voluntarily>

Yes but to be fair you probably won't be raided if you're a smaller settlement with no genuine greivances to another nation. Since these rules heavily restrict raids insofar as no alts, need demonstratable allegiances, needing a base.

I'm talking about the halflings and the druids. We're decently active playerbases with land that don't actively fight and pvp. We are groups that are centered around roleplay, on a roleplay server. Druids specifically were nearly drove off the server in Vailor because we were raided relentlessly and robbed. Smaller settlements with no guardforce can't defend themselves against an uncapped raid with two day timers. We're easy targets.

2.4 Any chest within the confines of the raided settlement may be broken open by the victorious offensive party provided the appropriate destructive emote is provided. Rolling is not required.

People could lose literal years of work because of clicking and next to no roleplay.

Again I feel the heavy restrictions I've put on raiders prevents these groups from being raided. Unless you have a conflict with an established entity I do not really see these two groups being raided. Furthermore the halflings have the orcs to defend them and the druids are a dominion vassal. Are you not capable of calling in these rp alliances to assist you should you be attacked especially given the one hour warning?

I actually included an anti off hours clause  just for this exact reason.

So you're telling me that PVP is default during raids every single time? What happened to compromising between the RPers and PVPers? Seems much more like you've made this solely about PVP.

raids are for pvp and the weak should bend the knee to the strong that can pvp

@Narthok Could you stop defaulting to assuming most people who disagree with your proposal just dont understand the rules you wrote

Also, off hours are different for everyone. Determining arbitrarily what is and isnt off hours isnt gonna stop people across a range of many timezones from getting their **** taken when they're not online. People also have different work and school schedules.

So? 3-4 people in the defending city when the attackers can rally ∞ isn't exactly reasonable. To be a proper scaling system, raiders should only be allowed to raid proportional to the defending party - else the rule becomes moot unless there's LITERALLY NO ONE online to defend. Losing my items when I wasn't even online feels terrible no matter how many of my fellow citizens were there to defend them. Your system actively incentivizes people to have personal hiding holes in some random freebuild shithole buried 50 blocks underground with no entrance except for a soulstone pillar to keep their items safe rather than have them in the actual place they RP.

no..  they are not allowed to declare a raid unless that threshold is met. At which point the settlement is given an hour warning. Its not ideal but the only alternative is entirely outlawing off hour raiding which tbh I wouldn't be opposed to. As for chests, I understand that people have a deep attachment to their roleplay items for some reason. So perhaps a limit upon how many chests can be sacked. Jaeden suggested that earlier.

seek someone that can defend you, you can hire mercanaries, vandalize under someone for protection, bury your prized possessions under a pillow or something

there are plenty of creative ways that you can do to protect yourself from villainy,

you shouldn't be babied by skygods and sky rules
