The Count of Azor signed the lorraine across his chest as he knelt before the shrine to Saint Michael of Cordobe within his home, praying for the Empire and his fellow citizens as he spoke. "GOD is good.....his forgiveness outweighs all...."

Peter Augustus would remain in the palace chapel alone as the youth would close his eyes. He whispered, “God, I love you. My father loves you. Oren loves you.” The child was clearly learning first hand from events that erupted and began to develop a strong relationship to God and his faith.

"Glory be to God, for He is all powerful and shall guide us through these times. As Canonists, together," Empress Anastasia muttered from within the palace chapel, knelt in the pews.

Sir Cato Perea flagellated himself within his private confines, his whip snapping.

You could not defend the Pontiff, he reminded himself.

You called him a Sinner.

Blood and spittle caked the floor, his eyes beady and rimmed by shadows.

He would not fail Canondom again.

"That didn't take long! Perhaps they should call him Phillip the Weak, but at least he can see sense." An Akritian man mused privately.

Lhoris walked by the household of Sir Cato Perea and frowned heavily with a shake of her head. "Put some elbow grease into it, you ******* sinner."

"Philip the Humble," said Cato to himself with no idea of the Akritian's own words, though likewise he mused upon his own thoughts in private. "For in the words of Blessed Jon Renault, we bow to no man but GOD."

"All he offers is a measly plot of land that he can just as easily ****** away when they do not want Everard anymore, a confession and wants his title back in exchange for recognizing Everard as the true pontiff, these are not proposals, demands rather, that a sinner would make if they truly sought atonement. If the emperor wanted to repent he would join the Prince of Savoy on his humble trek to Karosgrad later today." said Walton.

"As previously remarked - Orenian words are like wind. I do not see a modicum of respect behind these thin veils of theirs. Their assault on the Pontiff, and subsequent fabrications was a deliberate attack on the entirety of Cannondom - the punishment, the penance, I hope, is to be scaled much higher. To even attempt the assumption of your own penance, while being at the mercy of the Church, is an audacious act in itself. The snakes will strike again when His Holiness is least ready, they simply did not account for the bravery of Haense the last time they tried. These new Orenians are a farce, and should be treated as such!" Maxim the Educated peasant said aloud to himself behind his quadruple bunker doors, almost as if he was crazed.
