itdontmatta 7192 Popular Post Share Posted July 9, 2023 (a depiction of the treaty being signed in the Temple of the Exalted Prophets of the Canon, Aaun) THE KOENG OF HAENSE Lorenz Gavaudin of Adria 11th of Sun's Smile 1932 IC | 136 SA PRAISE BE to the Lord Almighty GOD himself, the highest authority under which we all humbly kneel! His power is greater than any King, Queen, Prince, Duke, and Monarch — his law transcends ALL laws of men. We are moved to speak of the recent treaty signing. It is common knowledge that any monarch should kneel before the Lord Almighty, taking an oath prior to the ratification of such a momentous document. However, during this recent ceremony, the Koeng of Haense, in a startling twist, chose his pregnant wife to perform this sacred duty in his stead, citing the absence of the Duke Johannes of Adria. Let it be known, Canonist of the realm, that no guarantee or necessity of his presence was made. The envoys of Adria eagerly knelt in oath before GOD alongside the pregnant Queen of Haense who knelt before God to take the oath in her obstinate husband’s stead. Yet, as she fulfilled her husband's duty, he stood by, even neglecting basic chivalric code that requires him to assist his pregnant wife in standing up! Having watched his wife kneel and swear an oath on his behalf, he stepped forward to sign the treaty. An act that was to be the Queen's, as she had taken the oath for herself. But no, Koeng Aleksandr II, without a sliver of hesitation, claimed this act as his own, asserting his dominance and authority. Moreover, King Aleksandr blatantly disregarded the numerous pleas echoing, including by Arch-Duchess Renilde I, within the sacred walls of the church, urging him to let his cherished Queen affix her signature to the treaty. It would appear that he deemed himself too dignified to kneel before GOD and that he alone possessed the worthiness to sign the esteemed document. What does this chain of events reveal to us? Are these the actions of a king who embodies justice, respect, and dignity? Do these actions speak of a king that wants peace? A king who respects the sanctity of age-old customs? A king who acknowledges the worth of his queen and treats her with the kindness and assistance she deserves, especially in her vulnerable pregnant state? DESPITE THESE FACTS, let us pray fervently for the tranquility and prosperity that the newly signed Pax Canonis affords. Let us pray for the strength to remain true to our beliefs, our customs, and our nation, no matter the challenges we face.
