[Apotheosis] Five Comets

As those comets touch down upon the mortal realm a newly born vessel of the Sunlit Lord awakens as if from a hazy dream. A righteous fury bubbles beneath the surface of a calm demeanour as they look out upon a land tainted by darkness. Never has her duty been clearer to her than it is now

"We will not let the sun set."

Serwa, finally by the edge of the continent after her extended penance, was resting - the great pilgramige had been completed, and all that now remained was to send the letter to Father Celach, and then she could return home.

But the sky shone. It glew, and she gazed up, and she saw the five comets, and there was a brief moment of incomprehension, of disbelief; it was too auspicious, almost too perfect, that after she should complete the instruction by Father Celach to complete five pilgramiges in order to reclaim that most Holy blessing, that five comets should appear in the sky.

But they cared not for her disbelief, and they shone bright, racing through the sky, and Serwa could deny it no longer. She knelt to the stars and wept before the sea, and prayed deeply, from the soul, and after the comets had vanished and all was dark, she lit a candle, and began her letter to Father Celach.

It would be, she understood, momentuous. But the truth could be denied no longer.

The Martyr Undying studied her sapphire branded skin, clutched at her reformed heart. Other than the scars she bore, her reflection remained unchanged. Was she truly born anew? Was Isabel no more? Peregrine fell to her knees before the altar, holding that strange feather gently in her palms as she prayed.

"Father, give me your strength."

Takemura looks up towards the skies, watching the comets cascade towards the earth, the dimwitted Samurai pointing."Danzen, look! Lunarite!"

The Radiant Sun, the fifth Comet, peered forwards - the Keeper reeled still from the change. He did not understand it yet, when would he? Should he…?

He reached his hand out, towards his Chancery fire. Manipulating motes of Sapphire in the flame. "Do not let the sunset. Deny Entropy its prize. Our mission is clear, Ave Ordo." Muttered him, as he grabbed his weapon, his trusted Axe. His purpose was clear now, to crusade, to kill, to purify, all in the name of the Creator's favoured children.

Aurae sat and cried at an ever-burning flower. Unaware of the new Keeper's made. Nor caring, for she thought, like her brother, that the Lord that Embered her soul did not care for her service.

Picking herself up, she'd turn to the flower once more. Giving it a final look over as she looked upon the Wolsong Tree. Then back down to her arms and hands. Emanating that same Emerald, grassy haze that she grew accustomed to over the century. In the light of the Morning Lord all she did was seen.

"I do not ask to know the reasoning you take for your decisions. It is not my place as your knight. He gave himself to you heart and soul, forever in leal service to you. I understand, why, but..."  She let out a sigh. Lengthy and shaky. "But as bid to me as one of your wardens, and seekers. I will see your message and will be shared."

She'd walk out of the chancery. Out of the Keep, out of the Urguani mountains. Who knew where she was going. Who knew if anyone would see her again.

But she left, to find her brother.

To spread Xan's message.

"I will carry the torch to lands unknown. If I return, I just hope. That the Sun hasn't set."

"Do you taste it?" Asked the An-Gho to the obsidian orb over which he weaved beads of fire, the eye upon its forehead beaming with ruby light. "Destiny."

In a quiet corner of the land sat a lavender elfess, alone upon the beach that was before her meager home.  The sky had darkened into night, and the pale light of that merciless moon shone over the blackened sea and illuminated the clouds hovering above.  A chill crossed over her then, as a streak of light trickled across the horizon and burrowing itself into the distant clouds and out of view.  Another comet, one of the path of Light.

Something within stirred with unrest, and even she felt that worry herself.  But Ilaria then spoke.  "We shall keep to our path of love; we may be a mere sapling against these voice of ancient titans. . . but the oak does not grow overnight.  A curious wisdom of the Divine, to yet miss these doors only opened through compassion.  They shall be shown it.  In time."

Father Nerium borrowed a small canoe and a large fishing hook with rope. Out to the coastlines, in the water, he began to drag it along the seafloor, searching for those delicious mithril rocks that have graced the earth.

Leoni Chevalier, Orphan of the Sunlit Lord, looked up to see the sapphire comets as they descended back to Aevos. Incredible amounts of guilt, shame and jealousy washed over her as the bodies of cobalt flame flew through the skies.

A realm that she is forever barred from. A realm that her haelun dwells within. A realm that she will likely never see.

Regardless, she will fight. Regardless SHE will redeem herself, not the uncaring gods.

Grains of sand blew in a faint breeze, raising dunes like the swells upon a mighty open ocean - an ocean scorched by sunlight, unsetting and unforgiving. The desert was endless, as far as the eye could see. Barren of life signs, save for the faintest footsteps of a lone wanderer.

The years ground on, but still, Albéric marched under the blazing heat. Only now, the temperature was a comfort. A familiar warmth in which he found solace and purpose. He was at peace beneath the sun’s sapphire rays, the celestial body his witness and constant companion.

Redwulf…

The name repeated in his mind with eerie familiarity as though given an age prior. He was someone else now - something more than just Albéric. He was a vessel destined for growth.

A watering can leaking multihued light refracting ichor drop to the ground beside the dim blue flowers such was meant to feed. A cloaked ex Primarch gazed up at the comets from what remained of the ruins in wide eyed excitement bringing the comically large telescope to her eyes in that makeshift observatory as she misunderstand the situation completely.

"Wooaahh. . ." Jenny uttered happily, though "realization" soon dawned upon her as she stood within the meteor impact site. She did not have five arms! She made a few faux bicep curls of silent appraisal, then glancing back upward to the spectacle, then back to her noodle arms.

". . .Not it!" She touched her own nose, her arms weary from the last ordeal. Saying naught more before that hermetic Starchild went back to laying bricks and watering flowers.
