Map of the Current Empire It has been far too long since a map of the Empire has been issued to the public, I have put it upon myself to.. over the course of the last few days, establish a new one. For those who needed it, or those who wish to hang it in their households, here is a current map of the Empire's holdings on this day in 1864. His Grace, the Duke of Reutov, Ivan Viktor Ruthern

Last Will and Testament Of Erik var Ruthern [PK]
Shmeepicus replied to Imperium's topic in Provinces and Territories
Ivan var Ruthern wandered into his Grandfather's room, late in the night. "Hauchpapej?" He asked- though his words were broken. He took steps towards his bed, giving his leg a push. "Wake up." He mumbled, though he did not stir. Tears took to Ivan's eyes as he took a deep breath- knowing that he had to be strong for his children. He took up his Grandfather, his comrade and his mentor in his arms as he carried him through the halls of Reutov and down to the crypts, where he laid him to rest. "I'll make sure that I carry on vyr legacy and make vy proud. We'll meet again someday, perhaps sometime soon." He offered in hushed tones, before sealing the tomb shut. -
The Hell in Haverlock A group of folks hailing from all realms and races gathered before the gates of Haverlock. Their self-designated leader handed out torches, gesturing to one of them. “Go forth- go forth and bring ruin.” He muttered softly, as the chosen disciple stepped forth and tossed a torch unto the gates that lay before them. Fire took hold within the kindling laid at it’s base and it quickly erupted into flame, spreading that destruction throughout the rest of the gatehouse. Their leader motioned them all forth- a pentagram bleeding a terrifying hue of red and orange forming above him as two imps flew from it as if the air itself had conjured them. “Lay waste to this city.” He commanded them simply- as they took it upon themselves to fetch torches and flew off into the black sky. Within an hour- the majority of Haverlock was engulfed in a wretched and illuminating flame, empty homes and shops giving the only life to the deserted settlement- deserted but for seven who stood before the Cathedral. It was there they gathered and they quickly made their way up the steps and into the Church, seating themselves before the dais. One was captured- who shall not be named- an Orenian who themselves gave blood so that the ritual might succeed. Their leader drew a circle of blood on the ground before the dais of the Church, four following to draw runes and contribute what they may to the ritual.. when all was nearly done- the leader called. “Now.” He uttered- and a tome that had been opened flew through the air and floated before one of their own. Words were muttered that would cause suffering to any who had heard them- and once more their leader spoke, calling out upon the ritual circle that had been created. “Weep, world. Cry in pain. We call forth all of that which you so desperately hide. We bind you, we make a mockery of you. Bleed forth from lungs corrupted by the hells.” A few moments passed, silence was all that was audible and finally he uttered, “Am’krimth.” Those not knowledgeable of the sorcery they wielded visibly contorted at the uttering of that word- silence once again falling, the air still. It was heavy and thick as hellish flames were offered into the ring of bloody runes. For a moment- the mosaic tiles of the church were scorched and shortly after faded away. Reality around them seemed to bend and suddenly- a snap and hiss before a distinct rune within the circle flickered into existence- made of that same flame that was poured into it. A new glow shined in from the stained windows that dotted the Cathedral, that same hellish fire had circled around the Church unnaturally - wrapping it in unintelligible whispers and dancing shadows as a set of gates formed beyond the Church’s doors. In the darkening sky above- almost cutting into the blueness of the sky, formed a massive ring of fire that hovered above the accursed city. By all accounts - this once holy site was now corrupted, claimed by those who inhabit and summon the hells. A church was consumed, some old prophecy slowly being enacted upon this wretched realm. What would be next?

L'UNIONE MORGANICA DI RUTHERN A' FALCONE
Shmeepicus replied to Benjikhei's topic in The Kingdom of Oren
Ivan var Ruthern's hairline receded 2 centimeters upon the seeing of this missive because he was the strong-willed one. He malded in his bedroom for a few moments before deciding he would go because he loved his sister dearly, and believed the Falcone to be a nice enough fellow. -
Ivan var Ruthern lit a hundred candles within the walls of Reutov that eve, an act of respect for all Canonist lives that were lost in the siege.
-
Ivan var Ruthern wiped his sword clean at the conclusion of the battle- having killed five enemies himself. He turned towards Eastfleet at the end of it all- riding his steed to where Southbridge stood and gazed across the water. "Soon.. soon they will understand what it's like to have their land befouled and taken from them. They will soon know how true Imperial vengeance is, and how deeply it will strike each and every one of their accursed, stunted selves." He quipped, stepping towards a nearby tree to rest for a few moments.
-
Ivan var Ruthern smiled the sun's smile. "Only victories- and nothing but until we claim back what we lost."
-
Ivan var Ruthern looked at the drawing on the missive. "Hey- isn't that Urguanite territory?"

AN INQUIRY INTO THE FIRE OF HAVERLOCK
Shmeepicus replied to Froschli's topic in Ecclesiastical Decrees
Ivan var Ruthern eyed the missive. “I thought we were excommunicated.” -
Ivan var Ruthern is particularly confused at the portion of the missive which states they did not raise arms against the Empire. Did they not raise up arms or were they treasonous against their own liege lord, not heeding his call to war. "Huh- seems kind of contradictory- if vy live in a Kingdom who has declared war against us, vy are taking up arms, nie? Oh well- nie matter.. I'm sure Haense will be next on the chopping block."
-
Ivan var Ruthern sighed from the walls of Reutov. "It wouldn't have stopped with Southbridge- it would have continued. It's us-.. or it's them. I choose them- for all the Imperial blood they have spilled- all the men who I have served with. The Dwarves and their ill kin the Sedanites- they will pay for blood with blood- though the blood we spill of theirs will be immeasurable. Already, some seventeen thousand bodies lie upon the fields of Petra- and some seventeen thousand more will join their comrades in the dirt." Later in the day, Ivan was found sparring with his nephew as he riposted the Prince's attack. "Patience- all you need is patience. Wait for vyr opponent to slip up- then vy strike." He offered, lowering his sparring sword into a neutral stance before allowing him to continue. @Da_Emperors

Ivan var Ruthern was beyond furious- as he had slept through the entire battle!

Loyal Daniel watched as Loyal Isaac watched as the mysterious force turned half the opposing side into dust. "By heavens!" He cried, witnessing the events. "God has forsaken us! Flee... flee!" Loyal Daniel cried.
