Department of Advisors -The Department of Advisors consist of Monarch-elected entities that sit close and commune in times of need with the Monarch on matters. i. The Department of Advisors is exclusive in it’s ability in the matter of having all members sit close with the Monarch; contradictory to Article II, ii Lines 2-4. ii. The Department of Advisors shall not have a Head. Each respective member holding the legal privilege of a Department Head. viii. The Departments of Vortice may elect a Department Head to represent their practice with a 2/3rds majority vote. -Department Heads act as sole leaders within a department. -Department Heads may represent their department to the Monarch. -Department Heads act as a ‘council’ to the Monarch. One Monarch of Vortice sat back in her seat- an interesting one, this missive was. She grew tired of declarations and demands of others. The new Monarch read over the news for the day. "Don't know who to root for... Athri rolled her one eye, the woman not caring about a new Rex for Krugmar. All she can hope is they're decent.

Athri sat silent at her desk, a blank stare as she read the letter she was sent over and over. "I..." She began, but then ended up quieting up. The woman slumped over, her arms wrapping around her head as she sobbed through quiet tears. All those papers that sat scattered seemed to have some water damage to them. "Why couldn't I have been there for her..."

Athri wandered along down the roads to Elvenesse, reading as she did so. The woman was bored of home, and decided to make a trip. "How odd... suppose I should care." She'd shrug, tossing the missive off behind her as she continued her trek.

The Grand Opening of the Vortice Arena The opening of the Vortice Arena is something perhaps unexpected, but something we’ve had quiet talks of for a while. A designated area for fights and such, and a source of entertainment and a chance to hone the skills of combat. We’ve plans for this, though! Not just the fighting of descendent against descendent, but also descendent against beast. Worry not! There will be no slaying of innocent creatures, taken from their homes. All animals will be conjured, controlled by the pre-chosen mage for the designated round. With that said, the event for this will be the fighting of animals! Without risk of significant harm, it is simply a challenge of how fast you can take the creature down. With each round, depending on how many people sign up for the competition, those that were the slowest in each round would be eliminated, as those who move on go against larger and tougher animals- perhaps even multiple of a kind! Anyone can participate, mages, fighters, and anything in between! The prize to the winner will be either an enchanted item or an enchanted weapon, and bets will be taken in by a council member, with half of those bets being distributed to the winner. Athri heard wind of this, giving a simple roll of her eye. She knew one of the only reasons she hasn't been killed is that she's handed over others- perhaps regrettably, perhaps not. She doesn't quite know. "Show of good faith... my ass."

Structure and Rankings of the State Army of Vortice Lord-Commander The current Minister of Defense for Vortice, they oversee the proceedings and operations of the State Army. Being the Domain's Representative of Foreign Affairs as well, they speak with other nations on the topics of joint training, and things of the like. They may closely aid those in the Army as well, whenever they see fit. Marshal The 2nd in command, just behind the Lord-Commander. In the absence of the Lord-Commander, the Marshal shall act as the commander-in-chief for all of the Army’s affairs. Oftentimes they are the Legislacerator of Justice, and are the one to handle acts of crime within the city that require investigation. Captain The highest rank one can obtain within the State-Army’s chain of command. They would lead patrols, conduct larger investigations, and hold training’s for their soldiers. If proven to be fit enough, a Captain may be knighted on the accounts of valor, bravery, and courage in service to the Crown. They gained the nickname of ‘Red Sash’. Sergeant A Sergeant is a grizzled veteran of the State-Army. They are noncommissioned officers of the State-Army tasked with conducting small patrols, investigations, and to train recruits alongside the Captain. Given the nickname ‘Black Sashes’, they may gain a promotion after three years (3 IRL weeks), and must do at least three tasks given by the Lord-Commander. Guardsman Guardsmen are those who have passed their initial training and have grown accustomed to the chain-of-command and workings of the State-Army. Guardsmen is the standard rank of the army and makes up the bulk of its personnel. The time spent within this rank all depends on the person, and if they choose to pursue more within the military. Guardsmen must be in the military and active for at least two years (2 IRL weeks) before a promotion can be given. If deemed worthy of a promotion, a Guardsman must complete a task given by the Lord-Commander. Recruit Those who have recently enlisted into the State-Army. After a year passes and they have completed their initial training, a Recruit may be promoted to Guardsman. Their investment in the army is one that should be met with activity and motivation. If a Recruit is to fall short or disrespect a senior member of the chain-of-command their probability of promotion may slip away. Recruits must be in the military and active for at least one year (IRL week) before a promotion can be given.
