"If you seek residence and employment, do stop by the Sacral Serpent Apothecary within the village of Veritas, upon the Urguani road towards the Jade State. P.S - Laboratory and a bedroom provided with the offer. - Cecilya Anastasya."

  5. [!] The following missive would be found in droves within the alleyways and streets of the realm, wrought of sturdy parchment. Lining the trim of the letter would be a trio of esoteric symbols, forming a curious pattern. To the Tiniest of Clowns, I found myself elucidated yet by our last conversation, within the rolling hills and the confines of that sleepy village. You’ve captured my interest in the circus and lords of laughter, and as much as I know of clowns and their tricks, I know precious little of the show! Prithee, if you would humor this curious soul in her quest to protect and aid your masterful artform, you know where to find me. After all, you clowns are few in number. With wishes to protect your art, The Curious Serpent.
  6. A Lady in Silver, after the battle had concluded, would be found to slumber in chantry hall - her Ember flickering, fading, reigniting... The city was avenged, the battle seen through - but the war against the Titan would rage on... Until the true king sat on high.
  7. Within chantry hall, canticles murmured low would be heard - the dozens of candles lining the floor, unlit in preparation for the rancor to come, save for ten that yet burned bright... "If this is to end in fire, then we shall all burn together..."
  8. A Lady in Silver, knowing these tidings, marched off to meet an old friend...
  9. Tarathiel Asul'onn would frown, noting her name upon this missive. She would pen a short reply. "There are more than a few Mali named Tarathiel. Clarify which family they are housed by if you wish to cast stones, good Druid."

  11. Would that Lady o' Silver come 'cross the missive, and the corpse of he whom authored it, a frown would cross her guise; snow crunched underfoot, her gaze inclined upwards to gaze at that which hung from the Hangman's Tree. A deal of time would be spent to free the dead man from his bonds, the carcass falling to the forest floor with a whump. He would be given an honored rest, cast in pyre and remembered by means of a statue dedicated to his likeness within the halls of His Chosen. "You came far to deliver us such tidings, brother; but now, you must rest... Let them come. This land will be their graveyard."
  12. I missed this. Beautiful work, Noz!
  13. A Lady in Silver - A Wisewoman of Yore, regarded the news within that sullen lab - the bubbling of concoctions and the crackle of flame providing some cruel ambience to the terrible tidings so delivered; glass shattered over fire, the woman's empty gaze thence drawn to the shards which now littered the cold, stone floor. Chapped lips parted, a gloved hand tracing the surface of the marbled countertop as she spake henceforth; hushed words slipping the forlorn maw. "I could have helped her, if only I had known... The head bites the tail- in death, she is reborn." Golden eyes flickered in some moonlit gloam, to glimpse that damned serpent eternal; "It’s the end of the day, but it feels like the warm kiss of dawn, and a new beginning..."
  14. ᛒᚱᛖᚹᛊ ᛒᛖᚾᛖᚨᚦ ᚦᛖ ᛗᛟᚢᚾᛏᚨᛁᚾᛊ “Tae difference ‘tween science n’ magic ehs really nay tha’ big, if’n ye think o’ it.” Deep within their mountain halls, the dwarves of yore wrought awesome works of artificery within the antiquated laboratories and alchemical refineries they called home. Beneath the rock, they wove and concocted an array of concoctions and tinctures that some dared to call ‘magic,’ owing their make to the Brathmordakin - though such was only ever but a religious attribution to the alchemical depths they delved into. Once lost to time, in recent years such recipes and diagrams have been rediscovered or reinvented by the Sons and Daughters of Urguan. Korkoss’Varekan Forgedust Arkenlyte Credits & Purpose: Valannor, BobBox - Writing, Conceptualization, etc. Rewriting certain concepts for round 2! Nivndil - Permission to use the Starbreaker name & feedback Nooblius - Criticism/Feedback TheBlackBobRoss - Criticism/Feedback I’ve noticed that traditionally, aside from Warforging, there has been relatively little in the way of more ‘Dwarven’ themed recipes and concoctions in the Alchemy niche, when there’s a good bit of inspiration to pull from. This is a relatively simple piece looking to add some more flavor and useful alchemical items to the lineup - such being entirely noncombative recipes intended to add depth and wonder to the world around them, without detracting from the roleplay experience of a given user. 10/16/2021 - After its first iteration, I immediately took to rectifying the various issues outlined in the given criticism, reworking the execution behind the idea of the Blasting Keg into the Breaching Charge with the help of my fellow ST, BobBox - the new product being far more limited in its scope and capabilities, while still allowing players a valid alternative to Volatite Bombs, which are far more useful and versatile compared to the Breaching Charge. Korkoss'Varekan was, likewise, reworked to no longer include the gatekeep-y dialect of Star-Ruhns, the Dwarven language as is currently accepted by the Dwarven community being used in its stead to allow for that same sort of feel without limiting it to a select group of individuals. Forgedust was fixed and given much more specification to its usage, and Arkenlyte has had its combative applications nixed entirely while allowing it utility in the form of being an incredibly useful source of light. I hope that this iteration of the lore is found to be far more acceptable to both the playerbase and LT alike, with its capacity to provide new avenues of roleplay being the primary focus of its resubmission, while not detracting from the core of a player's experience. Each recipe has been dumbed down, as it were, to a basic concept with a singular application for each; Blasting Charges being made strictly for structural damage during events, heists, or Major Vandalism scenarios, Korkoss'Varekan being cut back to merely being a neat way to hide messages akin to Heraldry's 'Dratho Nar' or Housemagery's spell 'Hidden Message,' Forgedust being redlined to be a bit more specific in its usage as a substitute for a furnace to work Iron (as before it could potentially melt Carbarum,) and Arkenlyte being made into what is, essentially, a pretty gemstone that shines brightly. If any other issues are present, I would be much obliged if they could be pointed out!
  15. Who could ever have foreseen this terrible occasion?
  16. A Tweak of the Mists The following redline under “Revocation” shall be changed. The following text under “Xannic Armaments” shall be changed. The following text under “Sunlit Salvo” shall be altered. The following redline under “Sanctuary” shall be added. The following spell shall be added for Vindicators. Purpose/Credits Valannor - Writing Motherchild, Raiderblue - Conceptualization, Feedback. The Paladin Community - Feedback, drawing attention to various issues with the lore, etc. Generally speaking, this amendment has been proposed in order to shore up a lot of the issues present in Paladinism as a lore piece that slipped past loremag, that inhibit the greater function of the magic and allow for loopholes. As well, we have attempted to put Vindicator on par with Wyrmstalkers as a subclass, as the former lacks a spell and a lot of non-event potential compared to the latter.
  17. Fresh, crisp air. That is what greeted the mariners of the southern seas, as for the first time in what felt like decades, the years-long storm finally gave way… But something was wrong. The air and sea held a distinct gloom about it, the likes of which sullied the spirit and inspired some forlorn depression in the hearts of sturdy men. The ocean blues had turned to faded gray, as if polluted with mountains of salt and ash in volumes untold- grey as the thunderheads which formerly roared and shrieked overhead. To a certain folk however? This suited them just fine. The once-abandoned harbor of Freeport was abuzz with activity, strange figures in cloaks grey and red alike swarming the fallow hamlet like maggots on a carcass left in the summer sun to rot. What had happened? Why was the sea turned to ashen hues? None could say, truly, for there was no answer to find itself on the tongue of a mortal man. If one were to venture to this place, stygian ichor painted the walls of houses, the blackened paint scrawled in the likeness of entangled roots. Blessed be the Widu.
  18. A Faithful Hound agrees with this message.
  19. A Lady in Silver would loft a brow upon the missive's publication, rumbling thus; "If a brick was not stuck into his mouth and the ashes of his cremated heart spread across the four corners of the world, then I don't believe he's head... everyone knows you need to do those things to kill a vampire for good!"
  20. Holocrons, Lexicons, & Hidden Doors “Trash, I tell you! those old codgers had no idea how to work with magic at all…” For the purposes of brevity, this piece shall dispose with flavorful language and focus strictly on mechanics, which mainly consist of adding flavor and world-building capability to the vast majority of magics currently on the server, allowing them the ability to add more depth and mystique to their builds and contribute more to a given narrative through direct roleplay such as making these structures, or indirect roleplay as leaving them behind to be interacted with by the player base at large. As well, this piece will serve to update an incredibly dated lore piece (Holocrons,) which thus far has been occasionally used, though it's incredibly vague nature has not lent well to its usage, despite the massive potential of the piece in question. Additions may be made to this piece in the future via addition pieces with new structures. Holocrons & Lexicons Originally devised by Kalameet Izalith centuries ago from the remnants of an ancient progenitor, the devices known as Holocrons & Lexicons have been further refined over the ages by sorcerers of various disciplines; be they hallowed or profane. The two devices possess an intrinsic reliance upon one another to complete their shared function- the display and transfer of information through the use of magick. (Sourced from Kalamoot’s original Lexicons post.) Lexicons are the means by which information is stored, which may come in one of three formats; that being the Lexicon may display either written text, play audio, or display visuals when inserted into a Holocron, conjured of the aesthetic being used to power them - e.g, dragonfire for Nephilim-based Lexicons, faux blood for Blood Magic, etc. Any voice beyond a singular voice being recorded would become warped and distorted, and any attempts to ‘record’ individuals would result in vague silhouettes, as the Lexicon is only ever able to accurately display their creator; meaning Lexicons may not be used as infallible cameras or audio recorders, due to their limitations - and as they store only a given piece of information decided at the time of their creation, by encoding specific runes and manipulating one’s magickal power in given ways, they may not be created in stressful or combative situations. Lexicons are always based in some sort of crystalline material, be it Foci Crystals, Anorum, Carbarum, etc. imbued with power from a given magick, then adorned with a precious metal of choice, which holds the enchantment - and thus, the information within. These objects may take on a number of physical aesthetics pertaining to the magick used to create them, provided such is strictly non-combative in nature. One may, as well, pair a Lexicon with a Holocron at the time of the creation of both items - meaning the Lexicon will only output information to that Holocron. One may attempt to, if they know how to create Lexicons, ‘crack’ the encryption and make the information within accessible by rolling out of 20, with a 13+ being a success. On a failure, the Lexicon is rendered inert. (Credit to Rylothh for allowing the image of his Holocron design to be used.) Holocrons serve as the output to the Lexicon’s input; worthless without a Lexicon as a Lexicon is without a Holocron. These structures function purely to display or otherwise decipher a Lexicon’s contents, once the Lexicon has been inserted into the structure by whatever means ordained at the time of the Holocron’s creation. Generally, Holocrons take the form of small monuments or altars, acting as stationary structures upon which a large crystal or glass sphere would sit; and upon the insertion of a Lexicon, the information be displayed within or be projected from the Holocron. The crystal or sphere, as with Lexicons, may take on any aesthetic pertaining to the magick used to power it. Projections may encompass the radius of the room the Holocron occupies if so desired, or if in an extremely large room or placed outside, a 25x25m radius. Hidden Doors While usually made from the marvels of engineering, one may instead utilize sorcery to seal a given door shut, these entrances often being flush or hidden against walls and the like. By adorning the inside of the doorway with precious metals and a crystalline material of one’s choice, and following the process of enchantment for a given magic, they may seal a door completely shut; becoming unable to be opened without a specific key phrase. Mechanically, this is represented with hidden switch doors and their keys, subscribing to all moderation guidelines regarding said doors. They may be identified by a faint magickal mark that would act as their ‘switch,’ this just being the hidden switch block. 21. [!] A simplistic reply would be penned, bearing no signature to its diction- for 'twas wrought of frayed and tattered parchments, and scribed with ink of squid. "Your challenge is taken, False Divine. I pray you do not disappoint. The Storm brews, and the skies roar in beckon- raise your arms only if you wish to have them stripped from your hands."
