A Turovic Feast in the North

 

[ ! ] Lords and Ladies of Kovachev and Vallberg feasting within the dining halls of Castle Kovagrad, celebrating the victory claimed over Urguanite forces during the skirmish on the outskirts of Johannesburg, dated 1589.

The renovation of Turov was indeed a daunting endeavor. Though the blood of Turovic men runs true through their veins, allowing the workers carry out the construction throughout the year. The labor that had gone into the project was unprecedented, proving to be more than the last two remodelings alone. The workers toiled all through the winter months back to the harvest season. However, brick by brick, and plank by plank, the keep and the outlying town began to take shape. Due to Turovic pride in industry, all the resources necessary for the renovation were sourced directly from the mines and forests of the County. Small townhouses and business began to spring up around the ambitious keep, bringing new, unheard of life to the frontiers of Haense. Perhaps, a necessary change to the frozen, cold, and empty wastes of the North.

 

Whether we’d like to or not, change ought to embraced. With the untimely death of the Count of Turov, Sergei Kovachev, the County now rests upon the hands of his eldest son, Henrik Kovachev. Sergei Kovachev brought much for the family and its people to obtain throughout the year. But now, the keep stands towering with  strong imposing stonework and the Count has been laid to rest. Time has come  to reflect upon the past struggles the household, and what we’ve managed to overcome, and the achievements we have put forth with significant pride, and to celebrate the merry times that have graced us all and dine with those whom aid, and who we stand with linked, arm to arm. In remembrance of Lord Sergei, and in celebration of the new count and victory at Mount Gorgon, it has been decided to hold a feast and Joust.

 

We do apologize for the short notice, though we pray that you may be able join us on this day.

The Joust

The Joust will consist of a tournament of Lords, competing for a reward of a Golden Chalice and two-hundred and fifty minas. Second place will receive a hundred minas, and third, seventy five. Please send bird to Turov if you or a family member wishes to compete with the following.

The Melee

The Melee will be open to all guests, granted they be Imperial citizens. The winner will be rewarded with a Golden blade encrusted with gems, as well as two-hundred and fifty minas. Those in second will receive a hundred minas and in third will receive 75.  Those interested should send bird to Turov with the following:
