Sveta sat whilst the war outside her home raged on, she heard word of the Queen's retirement from the court- she thought fondly of the time the Queen taught her to make hot chocolate on a rather cold day. Seemingly, a core memory for the young Ruthern to hold onto for time to come.

Verdier sat solemn across from Her Majesty, awaiting at the gates for the return of many. She expected loss, but not one like this. In silence her thoughts formed and remembrance of the day she first arrived in Haense lingered in her mind. From tavern bard to court bard in minutes.

Amari tugged at her fathers' sleeves (@Koodini@RingAroundRosey) pointing to the paper as she waited for them to break it down for her to understand. Maybe now that the Queen had more time, Amari could ask for a playdate.

Little Esfir Artemisia plans so many fun adventures with her hauchmamej!!! However, they are all just scribbles in crayon.

Liridona, however, takes her own few moments to reflect. A sense of pride fills her as she looked back on everything she had done for the courts alongside Amaya.

"A true queen of the People."

An aging Lottie Fersen said, happy, unmarried, and rich.

Adela Taronitissa, smiled, finally retiring from the courts herself to be both a family and business woman. Amaya would be the only Queen she served, unfortunately. But as she looked to her firstborn child, she knew they would pick up the stead and serve the next upcoming generation of strong monarchs.

The King of Haense had only recently returned to the Prikaz that evening when Amaya sat down to discuss her plan. Aleksandr couldn't help but feel guilty - had his disappearance over the three-months been a cause? Alas, of everybody, he knew Amaya well, and she certainly fend well without him.

Thirty-five years was an impressive feat for a Queen, especially one at the forefront of the courts for so long, she deserved rest.

"You kept your promise. Godan, how well you kept it."

Spoiler

Obviously not a PK post but I think it's important to leave a foot-note here for people to truly understand the feat and achievement Sarah has accomplished.

Thirty-five weeks is an insane number to reach being the forefront manager of a larger institution like this. The Haeseni Courts themselves are by in part a community of their own, to be the lead of this and integral in the entirety of Haense is a pinnacle example of the character that sarah is and the traits she carries with her. She is utterly infatuated with every person involved in the project that is Haense and constantly expresses how appreciative she is to hold the position she's in.

Though, I think where she sometimes falls short is not realizing that we are the ones at the end of the day to appreciate her and all that she does. Big credit to you sarah, and my own personal thanks. Just a little more left to go.

Aster looked over the missive with a fond smile. While he had only worked with his dear Kusin in the court briefly, he was happy to have. "Truly, eym were a Queen of the People, Amaya."

Meanwhile, a particular butler, from his family home peered to the letter in the mail "One moment, Mamej! Y will be back." Edmon carefully tore open the letter, his eyes scanning each word before a smile appeared. "Oh Vyr Majesty, vy finally get the rest vy deserve. It was an honor to work for vy." He briefly wiped at his eyes, a sort of melancholy washing over him, before a shout from inside "Da da- Yam coming to get vyr soup!"

Ludvika of Kvasz cried onto her husbands shoulder as he read it aloud. Amaya had done such a great service to her home country, and had been mentor to Ludvika as she grew older.

An enigmatic man, bearing the title of the teal-faced marauder's right hand, visibly frowns at the missive.

"Lady you killed my neighbors."

Haus remembers the child who ran from the clinic to shade, carrying a jar with a spider in it.

He remembers the Queen he stood before with the Grand Lord, explaining to her what role his office offered to the Crown. He remembers the look on her face - confused, worried, and supportive.

He remembers lying in the frost and snow as his life slipped away - how the hearth she had nurtured had allowed him to endure, how that warmth remained with him as he lay abandoned.

He remembered the countless acts of Violence he had threatened, and the few he had done, for her honor and integrity. What lengths he has gone to tend to the Hearth, for her.

A drink is poured out into the dirt for the People's Queen, and a unexpected, lifelong friend.

"A warrior in blade, and soul."

Villorik reflected on that silently, in a place none would ever hear. As a warrior priest of the Light, his duty was to love all his flock dearly.

Though he would never admit it, he had loved Amaya more than any other.

"Her like will not be seen again."

Somewhere, far away, in a different plane of existence. . . perhaps it was the seven skies, or perhaps another area. Regardless, a man dawning a yellow and black headband, holding a thick cut cactus green cigar in one hand and a fishing pole resting on the opposite shoulder, would look down over the horizon as he saw one of the few people, he ever loved and cherished settle down into a more peaceful life. Their time was coming to a close, as the new generation started to enter, and lead, the fold. His mismatched eyes glazed over as a stray tear escaped him.

"In another life. . ."

Arthur had felt bad for all of the hurt he caused to the Queen in her time in the courts. . .

Tensei sat in the afterlife of machines, ecstatic to see that Amaya had settled down.
