  3. Recently composed a short Lord of the Craft Soundtrack piece, entitled, "Good Morning Halflings". Link: https://soundcloud.com/lordofthecraft/soundtrack-good-morning-halflings Piece Description: "In the lands of the Halflings, mornings can sometimes turn out to be very interesting... Smoke begins to billow out of burrow chimneys, the smell of fresh morning drink wafts through the grassy air... The Halflings are a peculiar race, with equally peculiar customs." Thanks for listening, feel free to leave feedback!

  5. ((MC Name:)) BGBuster ((Skype Name [Optional]:)) Drakinroth Name: Brunhyldir Sarafand Age: 464 Race: Ascended Goblin Affiliations: Ascended, Orcs, Shamans Reason to join the Golden Owl: Brunhyldir, being a long-time character of mine, has quite the history. He has always had a heart for Good, and although his connection with the Orcish people is strong, there is always that older part of him that remembers his days as an Ascended. He fought among his brothers, brothers of all races, for that greater good. The Golden Owl reminds him of this, and this is something Brunhyldir feels is necessary for his Gajal'Rukul, or Wheel of Life. Brunhyldir feels that joining a force such as the Golden Owl would serve as a necessary component (or closure, if you want to think of it that way) to his historical wheel, as almost a reflection of his youth. It started with the Ascended, then went to the Orcs and their Shamanistic ways, but now we both feel a call to return to something greater than himself.
  6. ((A really great story, especially about how one can outsmart a creature using brain over brawn. I definitely want to see more of your writing. Next time you post, try indenting the paragraphs so it's not just a big wall of text! Great content, keep it up! I'd really like to hear more about this dwarf of yours!))
  7. I'm a voice-actor, and I just added another, very small demo. Take a look at https://soundcloud.com/bgbuster if you like, or if you haven't seen my work before! Thanks.

Horen V could be interesting. It seems like if he stayed so much would be different with Oren.

      aron.

Horen V was great, because he could be a sadistic *******, and everyone had to take it because he was king. That, and the fact that it was mog meant that no one was gonna rebel if he took things over the top. The Exodus was a set back.

  9. ((It's almost eerie, this description. And how the last paragraph gives the reader an insight into the personality of Fawynn... Excellent. It was a good read, and I think it'll get better as you keep writing. I can only imagine what it was like to have this happen, assuming this happened in-game. Keep it up!))
  10. On his routine walks around the main roads, Brunhyldir stumbles upon this poster. The ancient goblin stops, leaning on his walking stick. After slowing reading through the document, he chuckles to himself. "Mmm... Da littul azh, peepin' foah uh necromansah? Mmm, hmhm." The goblin would smile, walking past the poster, his mind racing at the thought, not unlike his heart.
  11. LotC, if you could plant a booby trap for players that try to trespass in your home while you're offline, what would it be? Reply below!

  12. Hey, congrats guys! These are actually really great. I personally really like Yewell's. Very great art style, in my opinion. Some awesome artists we have here. We should commission these guys to do official LotC artwork! Haha.
  13. I'm happy for you, Telinir. Remember that there are always like-minded members of the community that will have your back, and don't mind being an ear to your thoughts. Your job will be a hard one, I'm sure: ensuring that this entire playerbase is having a good time with a server, and taking their feedback into consideration. Good luck, and we have faith in you!
  14. I applaud the VMS for doing their best in the absence of the Media Team. From what you guys have so far, you're doing a great job! Love to see stuff like this on the server, and looking forward to more.

  20. I really like everything you've proposed here! When it comes to things like this, however, the best way to get them implemented is to start actually using them in-game. Propose the idea of the talismans to the Rex; start using the words you came up with in the game. You don't need permission to do that, and it will probably catch on faster that way! - Brunhyldir, Orcish Shaman
  21. When writing a post, there used to be an image button that allowed you to insert a link, then the image would actually show up in your posts. Now that button isn't in the editor anymore, and I can't figure out for the life of me how to make images show up again. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

  23. Spectators from all reaches of the land came to the city of Sutica to watch as arena fighters were pit against the wild beast known as the demigryph. Among them, the Elder Goblin, Brunhyldir. This Shaman had long been in a state of meditation, but it was now that he was called from the Spirit Realm to settle an unusual disturbance in the mortal world. [View the invitational post by clicking the link above, or clicking here.] ~ [The following is told from the perspective of Brunhyldir, and may not be entirely accurate.] ~ - Preface - Short staff in hand, the Shaman made his way to the main gates of Sutica. Behind him, two rabble-rousing young men in army-wear. http://imgur.com/mLI0P8L The three of them made their way into the gatehouse, the large iron gates of the city closing down on either side so they could be questioned. A small halfling, a hobbit really, came on the other side of the barrier. "Name and business, please," the hobbit asked. Brunhyldir stood quietly, leaning on his cane. The other two men, however, were not as calm. "Let us in!" One of them reached at the hobbit through the bars and attempted to hit him. "Agh! Stop it!" The halfling batted the mans hands away as another guard entered the gatehouse. And, after taking perspective on the situation, the guard simply muttered, "Greenskin, please exit the gatehouse." Brunhyldir nodded, slowly backing outside (the gate was lifted just enough to let the small goblin out). The gate closed once more. "Let us in, damnit!" The two men shouted at the guards. "Of course," the bigger one said. He turned to the side, flicking a lever. All of a sudden, there was a large "clank", and the floor beneath the two troublemakers cracked open like the maw of a hungry beast. They both fell in, cursing and screaming until they were reduced to a small splat on the dungeon floor below. Brunhyldir chuckled. "You may enter now, Orc." - The Fate of the Demigryph - https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/UI_-AIUmTeb8FuRupY1xKaeRbZIeCW07uAweiuKFGkfIUdPUyHb5mIZJk6evCbRTpZ6Fw1SS5OM-PYgi_oleFzoCPG9Rv7E4k2i0eNOFS8bFEJkmfgegXq-ri2QVTo3YxO4k8bBj So the fight had started. A few dozen were circled around the arena, eagerly watching as six or so fighters were waiting to be released to fight this beast... Among them, Brunhyldir watched and listened to the conversation of the waiting audience. [image]http://imgur.com/GzVskge[/image] "That thing deserves to die," one muttered to his armored friend. "I heard it attacked the children here in Sutica." "Well, maybe not die," his friend responded, "but prove itself. If it wins against all these fighters, then the Suticans say they'll let it go." A young, gruff voice rang out from the stands. "You can't do this! It's innocent! This isn't a bear, or a cockatrice! Get a real beast, not a weak little demigryph!" Brunhyldir grunted, pacing around the rim of the arena as he listened. As he walked, he passed by a shadowed man who was sitting and simply watching, silent. The two exchanged a dangerous glare. Brunhyldir already knew he didn't like this man... The elder shaman continued walking as the arena fighters were finally released onto the sand floor. Both gasps and cheers rang from the audience, but what in-turn happened was rather astonishing. Instead of snarling or pouncing at its impending opponents, the demigryph frantically backed itself against the walls of the arena, uttering a shrill and fearful screech. Many fell silent at this display, as the goblin had already been. The last of the fighters below slowly made their way out of the staging area, and the gate was closed behind them. At the front of this brigade, it seemed, was an elf. He is known as Oryin. The combatants slowly and cautiously paced around each other, swords drawn and eyes narrowed. As Brunhyldir watched from above, he began shaking his head. "Diz iz wrung... Diz iz vereh wrung," the shaman said. Whispering to the same halfling he had met before, Brunhyldir was allowed to join the combatants below. Some chuckled as the small goblin made his way on the sand, among the heavily armored. The goblin simply found a little niche in the wall of the arena, and sat down, watching. "Thiz am a better seet," Brunhyldir thought. Oryin, the combatant closest to the demigryph, listened to the conflicting calls of the audience members. Some called for a swift eradication of the animal, others pleaded for it to be spared. Oryin the Elf decided to lower his sword, instead approaching the beast with an open and outstretched hand. The two came closer and closer, until finally the hand of the Elf and the beak of the beast touched. Brunhyldir narrowed his eyes, as did many of the onlookers. Even the other arena combatants stopped to simply watch, their wavering sword-hands still raised in caution. After a few moments of peace, a rain suddenly began, and a shock of thunder sounded in the distance. Brunhyldir smiled at the presence of his strongest element, Water. He set up a small shamanistic display in his corner of the sand, placing down a torch and lighting a small wad of cactus green over it. He inhaled the smoke produced, giving a grin as he watched. "The beast is passive... Scared, even," Oryin called for all to hear. "I see no need to fight it." He allowed his hand to brush the matted fur of the beast, and it chittered a calming and pleasurable response. http://imgur.com/yYCe6ky "People came to watch a fight," the hobbit (and a few others, mostly Suticans) responded. "But if no one will fight it, it will be released." With those words, one of the viewing stools on the spectator level of the arena shifted, and began to hover in the air. "Me agree wid da elf. Diz am no terribul beezt. Lat blah dat diz ting attack latz childrun? Am lat zure dis am da zame beest?" Many concurred with the statements of the two below, and glared at the hobbit. A sweat began to form on his brow. All of a sudden, the stool shot down from the top of the arena: and it was aimed right at the beast. Just as quickly as it had shot out, however, did another force break its line of fire and cause the stool to cast aside, harmlessly hitting the side of the arena with a smack. "Come, lats. Ib lats beleef in wut ez ryte, den we weyl leeb diz areena." The elder shaman began to back out of the arena, as did all of the other combatants. Shouts of both approval and hate rang from the audience, but eventually all of the combatants decided to leave the beast. It had not made a single harming move. In fact, as Oryin (the last to make it out) left the sandy floors of the fighters pit, the demigryph continued to follow him. It is said that, to this day, the demigryph still accompanies that fateful elf, and now the city of Sutica sits in a peculiar state of peace. ~
