Take note: excluding a race from your capital city is bad for the production of roleplay.

Scythes are not used for combat. I hope I won't be seeing a lot of people using them for such.

When I mean lop-sided and heavy I mean theres a giant sheet of metal sticking out of the side of a large wooden stick; that is a scythe. An axe is heavy, but to balance it is much, much easier. Thats why axes were used as weapons, because their balance and weight gave an advantage.
You cannot possibly make a good four attacks with a scythe without straining yourself, it's too lop-sided and doesn't work properly.

This "1+" gimmick that has often been made a trend in threads that invite support is becoming redundant. Is proper, literary feedback impossible for some folk?

Why is Iblees called the "Arch-Daemon"? The title of Arch implies a leadership role, much like Aerial or Gazardiael were Archaenguls (I may be mistaken for Aerial), as they had other Aenguls beneath them with similar goals and ideals. Iblees, however, has no one but himself and maybe Ikuras, and a single seperate Daemon does not register him as a valid Arch-entity. He would be the opposite, in fact. He's a fallen immortal.

I'm curious to hear the outlook on an event that would bring catastrophic changes - for example, a manevolent figure of dark power attains a means to shut off all access to the Void, or cuts the ties of the Gods off from the world, which prevents their respective groups (all Mages, Voidal and Divine) from channeling power. Let's say this lasts for a month total. Any opinions on such a thing?

Pissed off. Two great RP'ers leaving the server, one banned. The reason why they leave makes me even more angry, not at them, but the people who made them leave. God damnit.

Who would like to see a legitimately player-run Blood Mage antagonist? We wouldn't have any special sparkles, but things are underway to assure a proper threat can be made!

How do you guys think Blood Magic should make a presence, and how it should be spread? Community feedback is beneficial to the process of sharing the magic with the rest of the server, so it doesn

May someone describe the current Elven settlement to me? I am without the ability to get on the server and have not seen it because of this. I also speak broadly on "Elven settlement", as I assume the race is still united.

It was fun, but all fun things don't last forever. Adios.

http://gyazo.com/d908bc82ad0812f8671b93d02c237ae6 -- Take a guess who it is. Hint: It's not an Undead. :v

Important, blood magic-related events are imminent, and as a result a creation will come to be. Whoever is familiar with the Lord of the Rings Urukhai and Dragon Age Darkspawn will know what I refer to when I say such a similar entity will be created, but I have been without a proper individual to sacrifice their time, character and dedication for the role. So, I wish to see who is interested by opening the offer publically. Anyone interested?

Though I admire the Creationist movement and it

Swgrclan actually made me put a lot more thought into it just now, and I have definitely come to see what he means much more. It really doesn't make any sense whatsoever. In LoTC, Gods are real. There is no need for faith because there is hard evidence to their existence. This is completely in opposition to what the christian faith is, which is just that, faith. Why would these followers suddenly conjure up something that doesn't exist (they simply believe it to) when there are many real and powerful beings they know do? It doesn't make any sense in the slightest if you were to imagine yourself in that world.

Because, those who play Humans in their roleplay enterprise chose to mock very closely an IRL religion. They have that ability upon registering for Lord of the Craft, to bring in whatever elements they feel. Very few authors in real life get away with highfalutin fantasy and even then, with a very small niche that typically are not grounded in realistic standards to begin with. (I am thinking RA Salvadore). The folks roleplaying humans were either very basic and realistic or just damn clever for picking something that most regular folks would be inclined to replicate through roleplay.

https://www.lordofthecraft.net/topic/97770-the-aengudaemon-lore/ After re-reading this officiated lore out of curiousity, I noticed a specific rule mentioned in the 8th paragraph that suggested divines who touch down upon the mortal realm are forced to conform to the power level of a regular mortal mage. Following this logic, why was Iblees capable of devastating an entire swathe of land (the Druidic Grove and it's entire tree), take the Aspect Stones and then vanish immediately after in...

present. However the lasting effect (mechanical use i.e. killbox region) was just slapped on and in hindsight likely a move too far. And as well, on another note, the powers at play (the Aspect Stone, Krug's Axe aka Malchediael, and Iblees) were all not foreshadowed very publicly and left not everyone present comprehending what has occurred.

Lilith was broken by the Axe of Courage while holding the Aspect Stone which was also broken by the same swing. That caused a big tussle, including Lilith being shredded and being taken by the Aspects (?), Malchediael awakening from his previous state, and Iblees having to in turn run off with Malchediael. It was messy and quick, but there was no soul-chomping, only the degradation of the grove.

One post 'till 500. Who wants to own this post? :3

My green is better than everyone else's.

I can't decide if I should kill Thral off or not. Hmmm...

I will build a great, great wall around the centre of the map to keep the homeless out, and I will make homeless mages pay for that wall. Mark my words.

What are the community's thoughts on the removal of Monk healing? As in, the ability to get all ailments cured by the Temple Monks being removed.

Noticed my title turned into something epic. Who did dis? :D

I want people's honest opinion on an Iblees cult forming and trying to take over a quarter of Asulon. State below.

Why were Elves blessed with long life even though they were immortal in the first place, like all other races (humans exempt)?

Who currently controls Dreadknight lore? I would like to speak to them in IMs, regarding a variety of things.

I hate it when people dive into the Salvus fire pit and crawl out, and walk off acting as if they are perfectly fine. Ugh.
