    I finished 'Brave New World' by Aldous Huxley a week ago. Even though I have a stack of other books waiting for me to finish (including Children of Dune and Neuromancer) I crave something that will grip me as much as BNW.

      I'm not necessarily looking for dystopian stuff, more stuff from the literary golden age of the mid 20th Century. Anything with that beautiful written style would be enough for me.

    I've heard people say that the economy of Aegis contributed in a large part to its addictiveness and its ability to retain players/foster RP. Can any vets or people who are familiar with it explain this?

      To be honest skills helped, but for me it didn't matter at the time. It was the cost of things, sure I got a free set of iron armour off the Oren Guard. But it cost around 1000 minas for a mining permit at the time. When there's no public resource gathering areas it kinda forces people to work if they want to get stuff. But that may be also due to me being dirt poor and not knowing how to earn minas back then...

    It seems everything on the server nowadays is geared around war or the time between war. Peace just doesn't exist. And what bothers me is that most people seem okay with this. Maybe we really are becoming a shitty faction war server with RP lite, I don't really know anymore.

    There seems to be some confusion OOC'lly about Orcs at the warclaim. The Orcs under Shreck who were going to attack Aeroch'nor were disobeying the Rex and were an outlaw group, the Uzg as a nation weren't the ones who didn't show up.

      @Space Yeah, that's what's happening, we're dealing with it in RP. I was talking to people who OOC'lly thought the orcs as a nation were going to attack Aeroch'nor, no need to take offense mate.
