Bethinwonderland 1139 Popular Post Share Posted December 20, 2023 Spoiler I know that these things are normally saved for the end, though I wanted to start the post by saying that Verónica has been such a unique character to play and my lord was her life a rollercoaster. Her pk post will be in two parts, the actual death is here and in the second part will be more about her life. Hussar Lullaby Princess Verónica Weiss Circa 147 S.A. Verónica had been within the courtyard of the Valdev palace before they had gone to meet with their allies on the battlefield. She kept to herself on the side, a knot in her gut. She watched as everyone was chummy with each other. She didn’t offer much in terms of conversation with anyone, it wasn’t that she was being offensive, it was just that those there would rather interact with others. This was her normal, and she had accepted that. Granted, earlier in the day, she spoke with Mikhail and had a rather touching conversation with him. Other than that, she wordlessly went along with everyone as they headed out. During the Battle of the Westmark, Verónica had fought along her fellow soldiers with pride, helping slay the Veletzian foes where she could, and following orders within the ranks. She had been struck by a lance on a retreat called, which had knocked the wind out of her, reducing her stamina for the rest of the fight due to her age.. Yet she pressed on. During one of the times they had fallen back into the treeline, she found herself next to Mikhail Valkonen- offering him a reassuring nod that they were going to be all right in the end. That they were going to make it out alive.. Oh how wrong she had been on her end. Within the heat of the battle, an unknown Veletzen soldier ended up setting their eyes upon Koneas Amaya. Verónica had dutifully stayed as close as she could to her queen, on the field, this allowed her to see the attack attempt. She made her way over; quickly taking action. She raised her Princessa Fatal, a blade made for her by Demitrey Denodado, the sword being her go-to weapon. Her blade parried the long sword of the Veletzen’s, having swung it to her right. The two were mostly left alone as the war waged on around them. With her no longer being a spring chicken, she was easily slain, not having the ability to back up fast enough as the enemy soldier brought their blade up and slit her throat. The red liquid sprayed out like a fountain and covered them as the enemy set out to join their allies. Verónica hit the ground with a thud, time had slowed for her as her life flashed before her eyes. She lay in a pool of crimson that started to gather around her and sink into the earth below. After the battle had been lost, both sides were able to claim their dead. A young Konrad Stafyr had found the Princess’s body first. He screamed out “NO!” in a disdained and agonized voice that carried across the gore-filled field. His cry caught the attention of the now-dead woman's niece. Rosalind Valkonen who now knelt across from Konrad as he took her helmet off, praying that it wasn’t who he thought it was.. Once his fears had been concerned. He desperately attempted to find a pulse in a panicked state. None was found..Rosalind gingerly did her best to clean Verónica’s paled face off before they could get her out of there and returned to her family Verónica awoke within the seven skies. Her joints didn’t ache and she felt young again.. Her hair was longer than it had in years, she enjoyed her long hair and her face and body were no longer scarred. Before she knew what was really happening, she was walking through a set of pearly gates with others around her who had also fallen during the battle. She ended up stopping at the group that was there for her. To greet her in the seven skies. Finally understanding where she was. Verónica started to weep “No!” She exclaimed in what was utter defeat, crying sheer agony on the spot. Her mother, Laurelie wrapped the newly deceased in a hug “It is alright bebé” she shared in an attempt to comfort her “Ea did niet even get to say goodbye-” she whimpered back in dismay “Ea.. did niet get to say goodbye..” she repeated.Joining everyone within the seven skies should have been a happy occasion but for Veronica. In that moment, it was nothing but a feeling of sheer defeat. Princess Verónica Frisketa Isabella Maria Lucia Elisabetta Weiss died in the Battle of Westmark on the 10th of the Grand Harvest, 159 of the Second Age.Verónica leaves behind, her husband. Four children, two daughters-in-law, and ten grandchildren. Spoiler Thank you @AnimeWolf0080and @javert for allowing me the privilege to play Verónica.Thank you @sarahbarah, @MakeshiftFoxxo, @CyyanTea, and @AnimeWolf0080 for agreeing to help flush out the pk post by offering your characters to be in itThank you to @MakeshiftFoxxoand my mom for helping me proofread A special thank you to those of House Weiss (current and no longer), Haense, and Hyspia.Another special thank you to those who role-played with me during her life. And a final thank you for those who read this. A larger and more detailed gratitude wall will be listed on part two of this pk whenever it is out Please do not meta-game these letters. Each character listed would be given an envelope that was sealed with spring green wax stamped with the Weiss lion, instead of a sun behind it, there was a lightning bolt. Audo Spoiler My dearest Amor, I am not sure how to start this. So I am just going to write as if I were speaking with you. I will be honest, I was not expecting to head up to the seven skies without you. Though it was something I knew I needed to prepare for. There are so many things that I wish I could have had more time to get ready. Por favor, allow yourself to feel your feelings. Whatever those may be. But try not to let the bad ones consume you. Although they might be tempting, you are stronger than them. You will be able to pull through all of this, mi amor. You just need to take things one day and step at a time. GODAN willing.. Things will get easier. Try not to isolate yourself, you will need people to lean on during this time. I know that you will be tempted to cut people out, and insist you are better on your own.. But you do better with others around, we both know this. I know I was not always the easiest to get along with, and I was by no means the definition of the perfect wife or person. Even with everything we had been through, you were always there for me, even as children I could always count on you as you could for me. Gracias for our almost fifty years together, I hope that you are able to recount more positive things than negative. I am so grateful for your love and your friendship over our lifetime. For the time you were able to spare me even though you did not always have it. For being my ultimate strength and my greatest weakness. Gracias for our last try together. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. I have a request of you. In life, when we were young, and had dreams of freedoms we would realize later that life would not afford us. You had asked me to go on a year-long trip with you, to which I had wanted to do more than anything. As we grew older something had always taken a greater priority over us exploring the world together and I often found myself just wanting to go.. However I never did because I had hoped one day we would finally be able to do so together as I always wished. You already have a day and a night under your belt.. Por favor explore Aevos for leisure joy. Not for work, and have the time amount to a year. Travel for fun and go on a few more adventures for me. I look forward to hearing about them. Make sure to keep dancing, listening to and creating music, star gazing, and to rest too.. I loved you till my dying breath and I will love you while watching from above.. Make the best choices you can, and stay alive for me? But.. don’t keep me waiting too long? We had spoken about growing old together, I wish I could have seen that through. Take care of yourself mi amor, I am not there to remind you to do so. Your forever faithful Bandit Minon. Love, Vicky Walter Spoiler Dearest Walter, I remember when you were young, and you wanted so badly to be a hussar like your Hauchpapej and a knight like papej. Time certainly does change things and place things into perspective. I do not expect you to miss me, or even notice my absence within your day-to-day, but know that I will be watching over you and wishing you well. You have had many dreams within your life that you placed to the way-side because of a position you were born into. I wish that there would have been more time for you to stay young instead of growing up so much earlier than you should have. I wish we could have done better for you. Regardless, I am proud of your many accomplishments.Te amo,MadreP.s. Por favor, be kinder than necessary to vyr papej. Karl Spoiler Dearest Karl, I remember so many conversations where you had told me how you wished I could live forever and I would always respond with I have made my peace with dying. How I was looking forward to seeing all those who have passed away again within the seven skies. I wish I could have seen you get married and start a familia of your own from below but I will have to do so from above, should this be something you wish to do. Do not feel pressured into it. Keep up with your baking and alchemical studies under papej. And your sketches tooTe amo, Madre Viktor Spoiler My darling Viktor, It was a pleasure to watch you grow into the amazing, kind, young man you have become. I can not wait to see what you do next from above. What you will craft from your smithy, what music you will play on the piano or any other hobbies you pick up. Should you be interested in any of the arts you know where the bard collage is. I think it would be a dobry fit for you and your creative mind. I know that the familia horse business will be well taken care of in your hands. May your children find the same joy in the gentle war horses we take pride in. Por favor, allow your children to know just how much their Abuela loved them and how I wish I could have seen them more. Make sure that they know your lullaby, allow it to thrive within the next generation and allow them comfort. Szam that we never got to go on that trip I always promised you we would take. It is one of my biggest regrets. Maybe Papej would be willing to take you somewhere in my sted? Te amo, Madre Martina Spoiler Mi querida Nina, I wish that we could have spent more time together and that there was more I could have done so you did not feel like the black sheep of your generation. You are so important to the Weiss, to your Padre, and myself. Keep on your path of serving GODAN and the kongzem but por favor allow your still-living familia to see you more. May your children grow to be strong and independent people just like their madre. Te amo, Madre Mikhail Spoiler I know I have told you many times, it was an honor to watch you grow up from the teenager you arrived at Valdev as into the almost thirty-year-old you are now. It was a pleasure having the ability to help you become the man you have and I look forward to watching you from the skies above. I do not think Audo, or myself, could have asked for a better man to end up with Rosalind. You truly are a dobry man both inside and out. You deserve the world and do not allow anyone to treat you otherwise. Te amo, Verónica Madre Rosalind Spoiler My dearest Rosa, You had been given such a crappy hand in life yet you took that hand and turned it into something that no one could have imagined; making the best out of your situation. I am so very proud of the woman that you have become and the woman you will be going forward. You have accomplished so much in so little time. It was very inspiring and I wish I could have been more like you in this regard. You are worth so much, I know you have struggled with that worth in the past. Use this as a reminder should you need it. That you are enough, mija. You have done things people could only dream of. Do not stand for anyone treating you less than. I can not wait to see what you do next from above. I will always be with you. Make sure that the children you and Mikhail have know that their Abuela will be watching over them as well. I am so glad I lived long enough to see the zwein of you wed. I wish I could have seen your little ones be born. Do your best to make sure they do not have to struggle the same ways you had growing up. Forever and always. Te amo,Tía P.S. Reach out to Raelle, she misses you and wants to reconnect. Por favor do not judge her for her past actions or her different faith. She is a dobry young woman who should be able to have her hermana in her life… Do not turn into your papej and his borsa if you can help it. Raelle Spoiler Dearest Raelle, My, how time flies. It feels like only yesterday I was reading you books within the Weiss keep. You were so young then, and so shy. It was an honor to see you blossom into the woman you have become. Even with you so far away from a place that was once your home. I truly appreciated your visits, not many chose to spend time with me once their more adult lives had started, however, you did. I will forever be grateful for that as it was a highlight in my day to day. I hope that you and Una live a long and happy life together, free from the vampires that wish to do you harm.Te amo, TíaP.S. Write Rosalind if you feel comfortable enough. I know that you want a reach out, doing so in a time of mourning is the best time you can as familia is meant to come together. Marian Spoiler Dearest Marian, As the former Lady of House Weiss, I know that your duty is difficult, to say the least. You have a strong and smart head on your shoulders, remember to put your needs first. Take care of the house, take care of the children, take care of yourself, and take care of your husband. You will be able to make it out on the other side of the turbulent waters. I have faith in you. Keep up with your art, and everything that brings you joy. I’d suggest picking up an instrument when you have the time.Te amo,MamejP.S. Gracias for teaching the girls Hyspian, Ofeyila and Zoya calling me Abuela filled me with joy I could not describe. Sofia Spoiler Dear Hermana, There is not much to say to you in a final letter, other than Gracias for being my hermana. It was a blessing to know you and I wish we had been closer in the end.Te amo,Vicky Y’vette Spoiler Dearest Y’vette, It has been some time since I have seen you. I hope that you have been well on your travels. I know the part I played in your life within the grandness of time was small but I hope it was impactful. May your studies in whatever it is that you do go well for you. Keep up with your art, your crayon drawing is proudly hung on a wall within our home in Valdev. I wish I could have seen more of your work. Te amo, Tía Cesar Spoiler Dearest Cesar, You are a true leader, Gracias for taking such bueno care of Hyspia and her people. You have done what my Padre and your Padre only were able to dream of. Making sure that we had our own place to call home again. Visiting Hyspia, and visiting home was always like a warm hug, which was always welcome from the chill of Valdev. I wish that I would have been able to get a secondary home in Hyspia just so I could feel the warmth on my skin more. You have done a bueno job at taking care of the Hyspian people, everyone is lucky to have you. Ramona has very large shoes to fill, and I know she will be able to fill them rather well. Te amo, Tía Demitrey Spoiler Dear Demitrey, You were a loyal house guard, and a loyal amigo til the end. You defended myself and my familia ferociously. Words can not express the gratitude I have towards you on this front. Your blades served me well, assumingly til my last stand. Por favor, be there for Audo.. He will need friends during this time. People looking out for him as he often does for others. Sincerely,Verónica Spoiler Demitrey, Even after my death, there are dark spawn that must be vanquished. When Lilith attacked me she had black hair and light brown eyes. She had claimed she wanted to lay low for the time but it is not like that will do her much good now. She picked the wrong person to mess with. From what I was told she lives in Celia’nor and might have roommates. I know she at least has one ally, the steward I told you about whom had white hair and green eyes. Do with this information as you will. Just try to leave my widower out of it. He need not know that I had been attacked.Gracias,VerónicaP.S. Mikhail knows that I was attacked, but not any details that surround it. Should you wish to enlist his help you have my blessing. Amaya Spoiler Dear Amaya I am so proud of the queen you have become, you have come a long way from feeling that you did not deserve help with cleaning up the tavern back in Karosgrad. You are such a strong person, do not stop being so. It was an honor and a privilege to be able to call you my amiga and work alongside you within the courts. Szam I was not very dobry at being the Curator of the Crown Jewels, I really did try. There was just so much going on within my day-to-day and nothing felt worthy enough to be within the permanent collections. I hope I was able to do you and the kongzem proud in the end.Sincerely,Verónica Roui Spoiler Dearest Roui, I remember when I first met you in the Weiss home back in Karosgrad. You had black hair and I was not sure what to make of you. I soon found out what an amazing doctor and amigo you would turn out to be. When I was little and got hurt you were the only one who I wanted to take care of me. Even if it was just a little scrape that could have healed on its own. You are the only adult in my life left from when I was small and I wish I could thank you in person for still being around. I cannot, so this letter will have to do. You watched me grow from a little girl, into an unsure teenager, into a frightened young mother, and a more mature woman, and finally in death. While you were not there for every step you were there for enough of it. Gracias.Te amo, Vicky Konrad Spoiler Dear Konrad, I hope I was able to train you well with the little bits of training that we were able to do. I know that you will do well in the battles to come should you keep to the advice I shared with you. Speak with Audo, Mikhail, or Rosalind about furthering your training. They will take dobry care of you and ensure you are in dobry shape. It was such a pleasure to see your progress, szam that I am not able to see my student become the teacher. Sincerely,Verónica P.S. Keep your hands warm Glorier Spoiler Dear Glorier, Gracias for all your teachings and your friendship. I do not know where I would have been today without either. The music you had taught me helped so much throughout my life, same with your friendship. It was a comfort and a pillar of stability during both turbulent times and times of peace. You gave me the ability to have a healthy and creative outlet. Gracias again. I wish towards the end I could have been a better amiga to you, traveling to see you more. I know that the part I played in your time in this world was small, however, I hope that it was just as impactful for you as it was me.Sincerely,Verónica Nova Spoiler Dear Nova, Gracias for being my amiga. I know that we have not spoken in years but you were truly one of the best friends I could have ever asked for. You were so kind and caring when we met even though you didn’t know me back then. You have such a loving heart and I hope that all of your endeavors go well for you no matter what they are.Your amiga, Verónica Amethyst Spoiler Dear Amethyst, You were a maravillosa amiga, it was an honor to have known you. Gracias for our spares and being a shoulder to cry on during rough patches in my life. There are not enough words to explain how thankful I am to have met you. For your wisdom and overall amazing heart. I wish I had met you sooner in life. I hope that you and your lovely wife have many happy years together. Save me a seat at the ceremony because I will be there in spirit. Sincerely, your amiga, Verónica
Wavey 1449 Share Posted December 20, 2023 Upon hearing the news and the delivery of the letter, Cesar let out a gentle sigh. Another member of the family, his dearest aunt, passed away to the perilous oceans of war. Although the Viceroy's newly implemented eyes were not fully functional as of yet, he managed to read the contents of the letter. "Lo siento...tia...I couldn't protect you. I promise to make sure we have a home for us all. I promise to keep us all alive." He glanced towards the saber hanging by the wall in the throne room. "We fight for our people. We fight for you."
ClatterCake 262 Share Posted December 20, 2023 Mikhail could only sink his head further upon the sight of the letter. For once in his life, he had suffered true loss. And from it, boundless tears sank to the wooden floor below him. GOD had claimed an angel... and a mother was taken from him.
sarahbarah 5030 Share Posted December 20, 2023 (edited) Amaya set aside the letter Veronica had written to her, gazing down at the river that encompassed Valdev's perimeter. Indeed, it was her life that Veronica wished to save, and the Queen cursed herself for her inability to swing faster during the fight, to save her comrade in turn. Still, there was naught to be done - for the war was not yet won. "I will fight, Veronica. For you, I will not rest - not yet." Someone was going to pay. tadabug2000 3515 Share Posted December 20, 2023 Sofia of Hyspia had soon learned the news of her dearly departed sister. She was the last of the four born to her parents, though she was sure her time would come soon enough. Amidst her grief of losing the only sibling she had come to love dearly, she buried herself in many a wine from her collection. The Dowager kept to her quarters, the only sounds being that of another bottle ordered to her.
MakeshiftFoxxo 182 Share Posted December 20, 2023 There was an aching emptiness in Konrad Stafyr's heart; one that was leftover from the agony of discovering his mentor's dead body. Their time was short together, barely lasting two years. Though it was during these two years that she had taught him some valuable lessons, including learning how to wield a sword. After Konrad had finally been able to compose himself, and they had been able to transport the body, Rosalind and Konrad found themselves in possession of the cloaks that had fallen off the Princess. In his hand, Konrad held the I-Lady Cloak that she had been wearing when she died: the only part of her he had left after she was transported off. To remember her by, and keep her memory close, Konrad would adorn the tattered cloak in her honor. And later, he would keep the letter he'd eventually receive close in his uniform. He would speak a promise aloud to the letter before storing it. "I'll remember your advice.. and training, comrade. I promise."
SethWolf 1414 Share Posted December 20, 2023 Walter Weiss had received the letter, and sat upon his Vikomital throne in the empty halls of Novkursain late into the night. His eye scanned over it, and he felt a pain in his chest. He never knew how to connect with his mother, and there were times it was easier to hate her than understand her. He was a terrible son. He knew that, and so he took no offense in her letter, for it was the truth. She knew him about as well as she might a total stranger. Walter sank slightly in his throne. There was a part of him that always wished to be able to repay the genuine love and acceptance that she had shown him. Even when he hated her, she had only wished the best for him. He was a terrible son. That thought rang out in his mind once more. He hated her because he hates himself. In his mind, he concluded that she deserved better than she was given. Though, that was likely a thought most have at some point or another. He closed his eyes, and he tried to remember a time far back in years past, to a sunny coast with lilac flowers as far as the eye could see. He wondered that one day, when death came for him, would she be there waiting for him? He hoped, somewhere deep down in the emptiness of his heart that should he ever see her again, he would be able to love her as a son should. His lips moved, "I'm sorry, madre.." The throne room was empty, all except for him, and the silence continued late into the night.
LupinCrystal 168 Share Posted December 20, 2023 Letter in hand, the redheaded drui sat within her home. A slow quiet breath escaped her with a sniff to follow. Amethyst sat there before beginning to sob, her free hand moving to cover her mouth as she read the letter. "I'll be sure to save you a seat llir..I wish you got to spend more time here with me. I hope you rest well.." The woman let out a soft sigh before shaking away her tears and going back to her day, knowing she had to push on.
carebear 448 Share Posted December 20, 2023 Nikoletta Colborn would learn of her dear Tia's passing from her family, within the hushed whispers and silent tears that fell in Haense. She locked herself in her room for many days, only seeing her dear Lucia in that time. "Ea never got to say goodbye to her..." She mumbled to herself, lifting a glass of carrion to her lips. "Ea hope she says hello to my mamej and papej. They could use some good company."
UniBearse 731 Share Posted December 20, 2023 Glorier had been taking his time to finish up a few paintings, one of which was of Veronica, When the letter came being delivered by his wife, he stopped for a moment and put the brush down. Opening the letter, he froze in shock and silence, The Atelier was filled with a somber mood and the tune of music from the piano was melancholic, silent tears stream down from the Dark Elven's cheeks as he gripped onto the paper. What was the last conversation they had? maybe he should have stopped her that time and gave her one last lesson. . . . .

Dinochad 454 Share Posted December 20, 2023 In the vastness of the seven skies, Sierra Weiss, a departed soul, sought out her beloved sister-in-law. Spotting her in the warmth, Sierra approached, taking her hands gently. "Welcome, Sestra. You're safe now," She said, embracing her warmly. Their reunion, bathed in the light of the comforting heavens. She was sad that the woman passed, but happy to have a friendly face to join her and her family in the beauty that was Sierra. -- Upon hearing the news, A litlte Weiss seemed.. confused? What did they mean her Hauchmamej was dead? She was just there a few days ago. Reza found herself feeling a pain she hadn't felt before. One she didn't know the name of. She didn't know how to process, so the little lady would go sit with her stuffed animals in her room and try to explain what she was feeling. Her Hauchmamej was their friend too after all. Once she finished explaining she tried to do the voice of the stuffed animals and realized it didn't sound right. It frustrated her. The only person who could do the voices right was gone. She was dead. And then all at once the small child began to weep loudly, clinging to the toys.

Frostdrop1 877 Share Posted December 20, 2023 Ser Audo Weiss sat in the dimly lit games basement of their - his - Valdev home. He took up the couch, laid across it as his arm draped over the side with a lifeless stillness as his gaze searched the ceiling for something of note. His unnatural gaze glowered as it always did, unforgiving and untelling of the mind behind them. Raising his arm, he brought his hand to his lips and, with them, a cigarette - a habit he'd given up many years ago. Holding the wisps for a moment, he gently huffed the swirled into the stale air. How long ago had it been since they met, on that ballroom floor? How long ago had it been since her quinceanera? How long had it been since their wedding? How long had it been since the twins were born? How long had it been since they said they would travel? The Paramount's gaze slimmed before it slid over the poorly-kept room. How happy he had been here - with her, whom cared for him so overtly, so unceasingly, when he could barely care for himself. It didn't matter whether he was loved, or hated and he had certainly bee everything in between. She was there. And now it was empty. For some time, her lack of return is something he'd known the worst of, and from then he merely waited confirmation. War was his life. Loss came with it. In public, all he need do was maintain appearances and do the duty that had devoured so much of his life. In private, he mourned. Upstairs, unopened Tuvsmas gifts sat upon the table, untouched. To the side, upon the table now thick with dust, sat a carefully folded letter with a broken seal and a fresh marigold laid across it. ~~~Felyska simmered on the news. At first she didn't understand, and then she rejected it. And then she cried for the grandma that didn't judge her. And then she was angry. Never would she forgive those who took her family away.
