With Aevos returned to peace following the conclusion of the Coalition War, the sovereigns of the new world order now gather to best steer our shared destiny forward, one free of unnecessary bloodshed and wanton chaos - as stipulated already by the Winburgh Proclamation, Section VII, the Future of Man, wherein the Grand Covenant of the Exalted Horen's descendants have been convening to discuss such a new pivotal chapter in the Tapestry of Man. 

 

While the Grand Covenant has proven to be a successful military alliance in the last war, we sadly believe that it is likely that such an alliance may not last in the long term due to the fact that the forces that comprise it no longer have a common enemy to defeat now and that, as outlined by Mister Rigoberto de la Cruz in his missive “Unity Through War, and Onward Into Peace”, history teaches us all that it is only with a central authority represented by a Unitarian Panhuman State with shared and common institutions that humanity can remain united in virtue and prosper in a peaceful and stable manner without internal infighting.

 

While there are certainly different alternatives on the table in order to achieve that purpose, such as the formation of a new Empire or a Union, we would like to firstly share with you, my fellow readers, an undeniable and, perhaps, uncomfortable truth, which has been long hidden or forgotten for the past century: which is that, in reality, WE ARE ALL IMPERIALS, for we are all Humans, sons of Exalted Horen.

 

The truth is, dear readers, that the people of Petra, Balian, Aaun, Haense, Hyspia, Númendil and Reinmar are, above all, IMPERIALS, and as such, natural friends and comrades. All of us share a common history, religion and national identity; a TAPESTRY OF MAN that relates back to the ancient times of the ascension of St. Daniel of Al’Khazar to the Throne of Man in Aegis and the formation of the First Empire by Exalted Godfrey in Asulon.

 

The truth is, dear readers, that we were all created equally in the eyes of our Lord GOD and that, as such, we have all been endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights, the RIGHTS OF MAN, which can only be transgressed by committing a mortal sin. These rights, as outlined in the Nenzing Proclamation (1715) issued by Emperor Joseph I, entail:

 

- THE RIGHT TO LIFE, so no man will ever be taken to the Skies so soon.

- THE RIGHT TO LIBERTY, so no man will ever be bonded by the shackles of slavery. 

- THE RIGHT TO TRIAL, so no man will ever be wrongly accused when not charged by a trial of their peers.

 

It is for these very same reasons, that we now beseech our Canonist Princes to leave their political rivalries and differences aside and politically unite to work together for the common good and the betterment of humanity. And, above all, we are now calling on YOU, dear readers, to join us and spread this truth among your friends and comrades.

 

 

And last, but not the least, we would like to share with you, dear readers, the personal opinion and a petition from these signatories with regard to the future of humanity. Let it be known that this is merely our personal opinion and does not strictly represent the official views of our Society:

 

We are of the opinion that in order for Mankind to be united once again in Virtue and under the light of the Almighty GOD and the guidance of the Exalted Prophets it is necessary for the PEOPLE of all the human realms to meet and establish in a written CONSTITUTION the FORM OF GOVERNMENT that they want to have for the IMPERIAL STATE: be it headed by an EMPEROR elected by the CANONIST PRINCES AND THE PEERS OF THE REALM  or by a LORD PROTECTOR regularly elected by the PEOPLE.

 

We are of the opinion that a new GOLDEN AGE when the common people are able to decide their own future, the AGE OF MAN, is almost upon us. TOGETHER, we can create a FREE AND FAIRER SOCIETY with EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES for all our people, regardless of their origin, social status or any other personal condition.

 

We believe that it is now time for the PEOPLE, for ALL THE HUMAN PEOPLE of our CANONDOM, be they COMMONERS, GENTRY or NOBLES, to come together and, finally, become the MASTERS OF THEIR OWN DESTINIES.

 

We believe that it is only with the consensus of the PRINCES OF CANONDOM AND THE PEERS OF THE REALM and the BLESSING OF THE HIGH PONTIFF that an EMPEROR or LORD PROTECTOR can be chosen to rule over MANKIND as the DEFENDER OF THE FAITH. 

 

FOR THAT REASON, IT IS WHY WE NOW HUMBLY PETITION TO THE HIGH PONTIFF TO CALL A CONTINENTAL CONGRESS IN THE NEAR FUTURE FORMED OF ALL THE HUMAN PEOPLE OF OUR CANONDOM.

 

THE PURPOSE OF THIS CONTINENTAL CONGRESS SHALL BE TO ELECT AN EMPEROR OR A LORD PROTECTOR TO RULE OVER MANKIND AND TO DISCUSS AND ENACT A CONSTITUTION FOR THE IMPERIAL STATE.

In discussion with his fellow member of the Society, Rigoberto, Tiber of Whitespire exchanged talks over cups of coffee,

 

"I've some issues with this, namely the issue of identity. As dictated by the tensions between the Haeseni and Orenian states during the Era of Arcas, the implementation of a shared national sameness was met with extreme vitriol, which will no doubt be incurred this cycle around as well. Words are not enough to compel... say, a Balianite and an Aaunite to think they hold much in common, despite their Canonist and historical connections. Descendants of Horen all, yes, but how else are they to be convinced that they are to fight for a greater good? What actions must be undertaken? Deeds, not words, shall see the day through."
