Edgy isn't the correct term. Edgy in it's non-LoTC definition means 'at the forefront of a trend'. This implies that the ninja assassin teenagers with red eyes and japanese-themed weaponry are new or trendsetting (They're really overused now). The correct term is 'mary sue' or 'gary stu' or what I'm using from now on: 'special snowflake'

I am under the impression (at this point) that players seem to think it friendly to say it. But in all honesty, wouldn't saying "edgy" make you edgy yourself? It is becoming the most common, under descriptive, lack of thought word you can use to describe another's character. But then again, perhaps it is a fit word to describe another's character of the same nature?

This is more of a case of power abuse than using GM powers to bolstet a nation by means beyond power and militaristic might. GMs may organize things better as monarchs and leaders because of their power, like events and story arcs, but it is not suitable to misuse these powers as one would suspect them to eventually.

You have a very valid point Swgr, leading a nation and abusing power while leading a nation are two separate topics and only one is the issue.
