    The resource island has effectively been obliterated. A good portion of the underneath is comletely mined out. Like, a large square quarry. Haha...

      You've got hundreds of people who all need stone to build stuff, make tools, etc. The Mining worlds are gone so where else are they supposed to get the stone? They could grief their own lands or grief the resource island - honestly I'd rather them grief the resource island than the actual map.
