Harold
Taking into consideration the fact that you are an admin, one of the highest authorities on this server, I would request that you act in a way that reflects that authority. Please refrain from provoking members of the playerbase which populates the server you maintain as it makes you look un-professional.
Cheers,

@Telanir In every conflict there is a winner and a loser, winning is always done at the expense of the losing party. Your statement contradicts itself.
-
That isn't the point at all. The point is that in playing here, you should strive to promote fluid and logical roleplay. You should be ready to win or lose depending on the outcome of this interactive story we are writing together. If your out of character goal is merely to win, and not to allow for dynamic roleplay, then that's an issue. Obviously, someone will win and someone will lose, but that isn't what Telanir was discussing.
-
@Telanir It wasn’t and probably still isn’t to some players and staff who seem to believe that it’s only RP while things are going as they imagine and it’s OOC targetting when things aren’t. I hope the new community conduct rules you have written about are applied to both cases as they are equally toxic to the community and natural flow of RP.
@Lyonharted™ No one is disputing that. However if the logical flow of RP points to a character engaging in conflict against another group and his goal is to defeat them, you cannot expect a player to purposly lose due to the other side wanting to win.

Transparency is something LoTC needs alongside the ability for the player base to scrutinize the staff's actions who are after all only human and prone to mistakes like the rest of us. Someone needs to hold them accountable when these mistakes are made, and this is not possible when most of these bans/warnings etc are handled one on one in an attempt to not "make a big deal" as you put it.
Regardless I have responded to your pm as I feel like you are genuinely curious as to why I said what I did how I did.
-
If you wish for transparency, I dont mind you sharing the conversation we had. Like you said, we all make mistakes. Staff are just players with pex and we can fess us to it when a decision wasn't the best one. It really doesn't deserve public ridicule- you're better off going to a team manager and saying "hey ____ gave me a warning point for ____ reason and I don't think it's warranted because _____. Could we talk about it?" Chances are they'll talk to the team member about it themselves and make sure they're moderating as they should be.

@NurpleDurp i can vouch for you man, I saw @nordicg_d run up to you, stop for a SECOND, so he could press his KILL AURA bind (( because we know he could never hope to beat you without it )), and then proceeded to MURK you. Honestly disgusting behavior by a veteran player like him! smh
