that asking someone who's never seen you rp before for magic is about like asking a complete stranger for a loaded gun. You wouldn't expect that stranger (if he was a responsible gun owner) to just hand you his gun. Of course, many new players probably don't realize that magic can be so easily abused, so maybe those of us who teach it should make more of an effort to make the aware of that if/when we say no.

Mind you, I'm not talking about what you're referring to as normal conversations. I don't go around correcting people on skype or text messages. I'd be a very busy man if I did. In fact, I very rarely correct anyone's grammar, because there's always some guy who feels personally hurt over any and all correction. So, if you're talking about something like a skype conversation or your own intentionally butchered replies to my status (yes, I caught the joke, Pie), then you and I aren't talking about the same context.

What version of minecraft is the server on these days?

Tried one of the other ip's I've seen others recommend. Now it just says I can't connect to the server, but it stopped saying that it can't resolve hostname. Suppose that's a sign that I'm heading in the right direction?

Maybe I'll just go back to playing it on my laptop. Never had the issue on there.

I don't think so. My monitor is also my t.v. screen, and the white lines only show up when I use it for a computer monitor. Also, would a monitor problem stop me from playing games?

if it can run windows vista slowly it can run windows 7 quickly ;)

What race do you wish to play/be more involved in?

I play orc, but it's kinda hard trying to enjoy orc rp when there's hardly any orcs to rp with.

I think we just need something going on besides just wars and raids. Those just create a one-day population spike. We need more cultural rp, so that people can see that there's (or at least should be) more to orc rp than just fighting.

idk, I managed to make 50k of bread alone, and fill the market with cheap bread. It gave me a lot of use for farmers, and made for some good rp in my lil county

I know, Pinsir99. I hate pvp too, but I play as an orc wargoth so I'm expected to be good at it. So, as much as I think pvp is an inadequate measure of a character's skill, I've gotta be able to hold my own. However, the thing I don't like about pvp is that it doesn't account for situational variables. In pvp, it doesn't matter if it's a grown 9-foot-tall orc fighting an 11-year-old halfling. It doesn't matter if it's a peasant farmer fighting a seasoned kn...
